We return to a mall. You know this tale. Or maybe you don't, this one has Gunn all over it and Snyder has been trying to recreate it ever since. It's like a perfect amalgamation of the past with the new. Get your Richard Cheese album ready as we dive into talks of Dawn of the Dead 2004. The post ZAMP 313 – Dawn of the Dead 2004 appeared first on Zombies Ate My Podcast.
We venture to 2004 when zombies came back from the dead to devour pop culture... until we got sick of them again. Listen, somebody's watching one of those dozen Walking Dead spin-offs. Not us, but someone. Does Zack Snyder's feature debut live up the legacy of Romero's classic? Not really. Does it have a fun montage using Richard Cheese's music? Sure does!
Ciara has flown the coop, and in her place is Alex as host, alongside Brazilia and Ashtyn, and this week, the gals are talking a liiiiiittle too much basketball for our liking...

This week we're leading the frontline charge against agencies not advertising themselves by catching and conscribing long-serving ad man, David Moore. A creative director and copywriter living in the land of beef and corn, he's written ads for dog wormers, mainframe computer channel extenders, and $1000 dollar steaks. He even named the tallest, fastest roller coaster in the world. Lauded on LinkedIn for sharing ads for advertising agencies, David is dead set on reminding us all that agencies have an obligation to advertise themselves, yet inexplicably few do. Lend us your ears for a caffeine-fuelled chinwag on writing 500 TV commercials in 3 years, why agencies won't advertise themselves, winning and losing a client in 24 hours, how to retain creative talent when your clients aren't big sexy brands, cover songs, why you shouldn't be afraid to lean on precedent, and a shed load more. Plus, Giles somehow manages to crowbar in Richard Cheese. ///// Follow David on Twitter and LinkedIn Here's Kingswood and Palmerston And David swears by the One Show annuals Timestamps (01:47) - Quick fire questions (03:03) - His first-ever job as a photographer (06:44) - Writing 500 TV commercials in 3 years (11:03) - What he's learned from wearing practically all the agency hats (14:38) - Why aren't ad agencies advertising themselves? Con música de Kevin Bacon & The Old 97's, Richard Cheese & Lounge Against The Machine, Wizardthrone, y Jordy. Próximo programa: Rings Of Power / House of the Dragon.

Smorgasbord Radio Rewind Episode As we approach the 40th anniversary of the Smorgasbord Radio show, we look back at our 30th anniversary celebration from 2012 when Chris and Dave returned to their old stomping grounds of Carlisle Banquets in Lombard, IL where they hosted 'The Taste of the Smorg' back in 1984. This is the first of three episodes leading up to the big anniversary where we look back at our special live event from the Carlisle. On this episode, Chris and Dave reflect back on the original live event and we get a listen in on several major live acts from the evening including: Hawaii's David Kamakahi & Ikaika Brown', Iceland's 'Sjonni's Friends', and Richard Cheese. Chris and Dave reminisce on some old audio bits from their original high school radio show, and they visit the food stations around the perimeter of the venue.

Here are a couple of questions for you after listening: How many minutes does the Flair match last before Flair dies? Does Bill deserve COVID due to his mistreatment of “employees”? What is your favorite side to have with fried chicken? My answers: I give 15 minutes. Yes. I'm a mashed potatoes and gravy type person, maybe add a biscuit. Last Friday when I was perusing the new releases to my delight I saw that Richard Cheese released an album of new material. If you are not familiar with RC, he is a music parodist who performs in the style of a night club lounge act covering hip hop, alternative, rap, and pop songs, and he typically picks the more vulgar ones for comedic effect. There's nothing quite like hearing a lounge singer drop f-bombs whiles playing a piano ballad. However, on this show I'm highlighting an original song that couldn't be more timely. But when you have a chance please check out his great catalogue of music. It's well worth your time.I do not own the rights to any of the music played on this podcast.
