Sadly, we decided this week that this episode would be our last for a while. It was a difficult decision to make, but for the reasons discussed in this episode, it make the most sense for us right now until we can come back bigger, better, and stronger. Please keep the light of freedom on for us and do all you can to keep working toward a little saner world in our absence. We will be back and better than ever as soon as we are able. In the meantime, as David says, "stay safe and stay free." Hattie McDaniel was an American actress, singer, and comedian. She was born in 1893 in Wichita, Kansas...and was the youngest of 13 children. Her father Henry had fought in the Civil War. Her mother was a gospel singer, both had been slaves. After graduating from high school McDaniel started working as a songwriter and performer. In the 1920s she began performing on the radio, and embarked on a recording career. In 1927 McDaniel had a hit with One Sorrowing Heart. In 1932 McDaniel made her first movie appearance as a maid, and unfortunately was labeled with that stereotype the rest of her life. Facing discrimination and limited opportunities. However, McDaniel remained a trailblazer and an inspiration to many. In 1939, Hattie McDaniel became the first African-American to win an Academy Award, for Best Supporting Actress in the classic film Gone With the Wind. She appeared in 300 films during her career, including Johnny Come Lately, with James Cagney in 1943. McDaniel stopped acting in movies after 1949, but switched to television, and continued to perform on radio, becoming the first black actor to star in her own radio program, the comedy series Beulah in 1947 on CBS Radio. When the sitcom transitioned to ABC-TV in 1950, Ethel Waters had the starring role, but quit after the first year. McDaniel replaced Waters but became to ill to perform after filming just 6 episodes. You're going to hear Hattie McDaniel on the Eddie Cantor radio show with Humphrey Bogart in 1941. The on the all-black Blueberry Hill Program, a pilot recorded by CBS Radio in 1943. And performing as Beulah on the Bing Crosby radio program in 1949. More at KRobCollection.com

Japan loves the Devil they know over the Angel they don't know.  Change here is hard to achieve in any field, because of the inbuilt fear of mistakes and failure.  This country takes risk aversion to the highest heights in business.  There are no rewards for salaried employees to take risk.   There are massive career downsides though, if things go wrong, due to an initiative they introduced.  Personal accountability is not very popular here.  The decision-making system here is also a nightmare in this regard.  Who is the decision-maker?  Probably no single person.   The meeting we attend may have one to three people present in the room, but they are the tip of the iceberg.  An iceberg we will never fully get to meet by the way.  Behind the walls of the office, sit their other colleagues who will have to sign off and agree on the change.    The checks and balances of Japanese organisations guarantee a few things.  One is it makes for good communication internally.  No one faces an unpleasant surprise.  I have found most Japanese, as individuals, are not good at dealing with the unexpected.  The sudden emergence of something that had not been previously factored in, has these staff rushing for emergency exits in fear. The other thing this system supplies is the opportunity for all the vested interests to have their say.  Fast action is not viewed as a plus.  Reaching a consensus is very important in Japan and people expect to have input into any new arrangements.  The ringisho piece of paper suggesting the change physically moves around the section head's desks and each one applies their hanko or stamp to the document, indicating they are okay with the change.  Nothing will happen until all of those stamps are there.  Turning up as a salesperson and finding the buying team are already quite happy with their current supplier, means a lot of work has to be done internally by the people we are meeting, to make a change away from the known and established order.  Who wants more work?  No one in Japan, that is for sure.  When you are dealing with small to middle size firms the supplier arrangements can be even trickier.  They often have a strong CEO owner running the show – the famous One Man Shacho .  They make a lot of the key decisions and then everyone else does the execution of the decision.  You may not get to meet with the supreme dictator directly.  In many cases, the current supplier company was supplying their grandfather who started the business.  Many a good time was had on the golf course, being entertained in the Ginza by geisha and visiting expensive cabaret clubs together in the good old days.  Gifts flowed thick and fast as well, over decades, to cement the relationship.  The current generation of the heads of the respective businesses may have been at school together, have marriage links between their two families or belong to special clubs as members.  I see these connections at my very exclusive Rotary Club here in Tokyo.  These are successful families who move in the same circles.  The third generation of family business heads have deep links together built up over the last generations.  Why would they change their trusted supplier to you, a stranger, a Johnny Come Lately? Be it a big corporate or a smaller concern, there are a lot of barriers to change in supplier relationships in Japan.  Frankly, we have few levers at our disposal as a result.  The one thing that companies fear in common though is getting left behind by their competitors.  The globalisation of business has meant these harmonious relationships between supplier and buyer are getting shaken up.  Just explaining the details, benefits, quality and pricing advantage of the solution you provide are not enough.  We need to lob some dynamite into their current cozy little supplier arrangements, by bringing up their exposure to being blindsided by a competitor.  We need to remind them that the best solution will win in the market or at least reduce their market share.  We need to point out that in a competitive industry, no one cares about the depth of the existing relationships, because they are fully focused on their survival.  Rivals will make key supplier changes and these will trigger changes across the industry, as everyone else has to adjust accordingly.  By getting ahead of the curve, they can win time to adjust and win market share for themselves, vis-à-vis their rivals. Price and quality differentials only become meaningful in this light in the current market.  Just talking about price or quality in isolation won't move the buyers to make any changes.  Being 30% cheaper sounds good, except the dislocation required to change suppliers is counted as much more expensive than the savings to be gained. The effort to make new or change supplier arrangements needs a strong reason in Japan or else everyone just defaults to a “do nothing” stance. This requires we come armed with examples of where a change in supplier arrangements wiped certain companies out.  The best option is relating changes in their industry, but even if we don't have that, we need to show evidence of how dangerous it can be to avoid change.  The drivers of change are plain to see: globalisation changing supply options, Japan's declining population driving companies to take desperate measures to stay afloat, technical advances challenging existing business relationships, currency movements impacting pricing, etc.   As an example, the DoCoMo i-Mode was a world leading phone app until Steve Jobs turned up with the iPhone and the i-Mode is no more. We say fear and greed drive behaviour.  Well in Japan, the fear factor is certainly more pronounced than the greed factor, so lead with the downside of non-action rather than the upside of a new initiative.  Paint a picture of how the advantages of your solution could become dangerous in the wrong hands, that is to say, their competitors.  Advise them to not give an unfair advantage to their rivals by not making the change today.  Express the importance of urgency, the time factor exigency to take action right now.  We need to do this to drive the imperative of all those characters sitting behind the wall of the office, to get their hanko out and stamp the recommendation, showing their support for it.  The people we are meeting are not the final decision-makers, so we need to arm them with the required nuclear harpoon to break through all the inertia and resistance to change, that is the hallmark of business in Japan.

Monday, 18 September 2023   From Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called for the elders of the church. Acts 20:17   The verse should read, “And from Miletus, having sent to Ephesus, he called for the elders of the church” (CG).   The previous verse noted that Paul was in a rush to get to Jerusalem by the Day of Pentecost. Because of this, he decided to sail past Ephesus. Instead, they stopped at Miletus, a port a short distance beyond Ephesus. With their arrival, Luke next notes, “And from Miletus, having sent to Ephesus.”   The distance to Ephesus is estimated to be about thirty to forty miles from Miletus. It would take some time to travel that far and then an equal amount of time for the messenger to return with those of the church. It would be a 10-to-15-hour journey for a healthy person to walk that far at a normal pace. With donkeys, it would be a bit faster. With horses, it could be done even more quickly.   No matter what, there would be at least a day of travel, spending the night, and then another day of travel back to Miletus. In a best-case scenario, they would not continue their travels until at least the third day after arriving.   It would seem that such a long journey waiting for these people would be contrary to his plans to reach Jerusalem quickly. From this, it is obvious that he knew he would get bogged down in a personal visit to Ephesus. Many days of fellowshipping would be the minimum. Therefore, he reasoned that the time waiting for the church to come to him would still be less than that. This then is actually the more expedient way of handling the situation. Therefore, “he called for the elders of the church.”   In this verse, the elders who are summoned are designated by the Greek word presbuteros, an elder. However, in Acts 20:28, the word used to describe these same men will be episkopos, overseers. Because of this, it is obvious that the titles were synonymous. Their state was that of being elders, while their duties were that of overseeing the church.   Life application: Thinking about what is recorded here, it is rather amazing to consider. Paul has bypassed Ephesus, a good distance away, and then sent for the elders. It isn't known if there was one or more churches in Ephesus. But even if there was only one, these men would have been called to drop everything they were doing and travel the long distance to Miletus on a moment's notice.   Think of where you live and consider a location thirty miles away. Now imagine if someone came to you and said, “We need to leave right away and start walking to that place. Johnny Come Lately wants to see you and the other seven leaders of the church.”   This means a day of walking, a meeting, and then another day of walking back home. When looked at from this perspective, one can see how carefully Paul must have balanced things out concerning stopping at Ephesus or not. And more, consider the state of these men who were willing to drop everything and head to Miletus to see him.   Now, think about your own associations. Who would you be willing to do this for? Are the needs or desires of someone that important to you? Imagine if there is a natural disaster, maybe a hurricane, that has caused damage to a friend. Would you drop everything and say, “I'm going to help with this.” Let us be grateful to the Laborious Lee's and Magnificent Mike's who would do such a thing. Let us also consider if we too would be willing to do such in the time of other's needs.   When the need arises, think about how you can meet it. In the case of Paul and the elders at Ephesus, the need arose, and it will be met in the verses ahead.   Lord God, help us to be attentive to the needs of others as they arise. May we be willing to extend our hand, if possible, to attend to the call or need of others. Thank You for those who willingly put forth of themselves in such moments. And above all, thank You for Jesus, who came to meet our greatest need, even while we were still sinners. Amen.

Frustrated with Circle 9 and in response to Steve Earle's COPPERHEAD ROAD I wrote SOCIETY FRINGE PLAYER. This is an answer song to "Johnny Come Lately." Yo dig I fuck up the geography pretty badly. I only have a rudimentary understanding of America's involvement in World War II. Mainly it's from Hollywood. It's very very unlikely that Freddie fought at Guadalcanal AND Normandy Beach. I'll worry about the narrative holes never. This shit's done been digitized! The main story, though, is about young men shipped off to war barely having ever even touched a woman. It's the Samwise Gamgee story set in the 1940s. I don't want the gender roles to be rigid, however. It's more about a soldier lucky enough to return home and find love. Musically, as well as Steve Earle, it's a Pogues rip off natch.

Prophecy enthusiasts believe the end is near. A plague has claimed many thousands of lives. Many believe it is a sign of the end times. Am I talking about the year 2020? No! I am talking about the year 1666. Many Londoners thought this may be the year that Jesus returns. In 1665 the world seemed to be on the brink of destruction as a plague claimed the lives of 100,000 people in London alone. Then in 1666 a London fire destroyed many thousands of buildings. Prophecy enthusiasts reasoned it had been 1000 years since the time of Christ plus the number of Antichrist (666) bringing them to 1666. Putting it all together it sure seemed like it all pointed to the end being at hand. Just one problem: None of this was tied to an accurate interpretation of the prophecy of Scripture. People have all kinds of ideas about prophecy, but frankly MOST of it is in error. Very little of what passes for prophecy today is actually in keeping with true biblical prophecy. There is nothing NEW under the sun. People that have very little knowledge of the Bible, or just enough knowledge to be dangerous, often claim their EXPERIENCE or their intuitive instincts are a sufficient guide related to the topic of prophecy. But what does the Bible really teach in context? That is the great issue to be considered! The subject of prophecy has fallen on hard times. Most of those professing to be Christian today have little or no interest in the subject. There are several reasons why I think this is true. 1. The disregard of prophecy is itself a sign of the times. 2 Peter 3:3–4 (ESV) 3 knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. 4 They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” We should expect that if we are living in the last days of the Church Age that MANY will mock the idea that Christ will return again – or the idea that we are getting close to His return. We see that reality today. 2. Many, (perhaps even well intended) professing Christians have consistently overplayed their hand in claiming to KNOW the time of the end in a specific sense. In the 1800s a man by the name of William Miller (1782-1849) was a Baptist minister. Based on a flawed study of Dan. 8:14 he concluded that Christ would return by March 21, 1844. He gained a fairly large following of people called “Millerites”. And because of their preoccupation with the coming of Christ they were called “Adventists”. However, when Christ didn’t return as predicted, with a little help from his friends, Miller recalculated to Oct. 22, 1844. When the second date also proved wrong it was called “The Great Disappointment”. The entire movement then evolved into great error under the leadership of a false prophetess by the name of Ellen G. White (1827-1915). It developed into what is known as Seventh Day Adventism today. Edgar C. Whisenant, a former NASA engineer and Bible student, wrote a book titled 88 Reasons Why the Rapture Will Be in 1988 predicting the rapture would occur in 1988, sometime between Sept. 11 and Sept. 13. When it didn’t happen, he wrote another book titled, “The Final Shout: Rapture Report 1989!” explaining that he had miscalculated by one year and that Jesus was actually returning in 1989. He then died in 2001 and Jesus still has not returned. Harold Camping said the Lord would return in 1994. It didn’t happen. Harold Camping recalculated and said the Lord would return on May 21, 2011, accompanied by an unparalleled earthquake that would be felt around the world. It didn’t happen. Harold Camping then said that his predictions for May 21st did happen “spiritually”. And then Camping said, the world would end in a holocaustic judgment on October 21, 2011. Finally, Camping admitted he was wrong and died in 2013. What a pathetic way to go. 2 Peter 2:1–2 (ESV) 1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. I am not saying that all those who are wrong about prophecy are all lost false teachers, but I am saying that errant teaching on prophecy does incalculable harm causing the TRUTH of God to be blasphemed. That is most serious, and I think in part it is one reason the subject of prophecy has fallen on hard times. 3. An inconsistent “Reformed” approach to prophetic Scripture. In recent years there has been a resurgence in those holding to Reformed Theology emphasizing what are called the doctrines of grace. Not all, but many, often mock dispensationalists like me who hold to a strong distinction between Israel and the Church and a pre-tribulation view of the Rapture. They claim such views are “Johnny Come Lately” views which were not endorsed by the Reformers. But I would argue that when it comes to “prophecy” the Reformers largely dropped the ball. They correctly insisted on getting back to a literal/normal understanding of Scripture – except in the case of prophecy. Here they were inconsistent – allowing for an allegorical treatment of the Scripture. This error has caused all kinds of confusion right down to the present time. A consistent approach to the interpretation of the Bible if consistent – consistently interprets all parts of the Bible, including prophecy, in context, and in a normal/literal fashion. 4. The “Now/Me” mentality that pervades so much of modern Christianity. Many people don’t want sound doctrine. They want “practical” stuff that caters to them and this life. They don’t want to talk about “future things” related to the hereafter. The SOUND doctrine of prophecy therefore is OUT. For them it's all about “me” and “now”. It’s about “My Best Life Now”. In doing so what they really clamor for is a “man-centered theology” instead of a “God centered theology” and the tragedy is that MOST don’t even realize the error of their ways (cf. 2 Tim. 4:1-5). In truth there is value in the whole counsel of God. There is a reason that 27% of the Scripture as given was prophecy. If you don’t like prophecy you are going to have to do away with HUGE portions of the Bible. The Bible is a prophetic book. God is a God of prophecy. All Scripture is given by inspiration and it is all profitable (cf. 2 Tim. 3:16). None of it is to be neglected, certainly not the prophetic parts. Our very faith is “prophetic”. It was prophesied in the OT and fulfilled in the NT. That is why Paul says the gospel of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection is “according to the Scriptures” – meaning “according to the prophetic OT Scriptures” (cf. 1 Cor. 15:1-4). Tucked away in 1 Chron. 12:32 is this statement: “The sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do”. In context they understood that David was God’s man to be king. They understood that all the tribes should get together and crown David as the new king of Israel. They understood God’s revelation through His prophet Samuel, and they sought to apply it to life. The need for understanding and discernment is also critical for our day. We need to know what God says and apply it to life. Prophecy is consistently linked with how we should then live. Jesus rebuked the religious leaders of His day saying: Matthew 16:2–3 (ESV) 2 He answered them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ 3 And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. What were the signs of the times that they missed? Well, it was the prophetic fulfillment of the prophecies in the OT Scriptures that were fulfilled in the life and ministry of Jesus. The “signs of the times” directly related to Jesus. The Bible is uniquely a book of prophecy. There is no other book in the world like this book. There is no other book that comes close – frankly there is no other book even in the running. The Bible ALONE is truly prophetic. In the Bible 8,352 verses out of 31,124 refer to prophetic issues. That is 27% of the Bible. Scholars tell us there are 333 specific prophecies about Christ in the Bible. 109 of them were fulfilled at His first coming; leaving 224 yet to be fulfilled at His second coming. This means that 1/3 of the prophecies about Christ have already been fulfilled. There are about 1000 total prophecies in the Bible with about 500 of them having already been fulfilled. Prophecy is about predicting the future. One thing about humans is that whenever they try to predict the future they consistently get it wrong. Yogi Berra (that famous theologian) once said, “Prediction is hard, especially when it’s about the future.” Dr. Norman Geisler said, “Not a single prediction of Nostradamus has ever proved genuine.” Steve Jobs (Founder of Apple) said, “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.” Humanly speaking that is true. But here is the deal: God gives the dots looking forward. That is prophecy. God tells us the dots before they are even in place and then He brings them to pass. This is GOD'S GLORY ALONE! Now as we look back, we see the dots God told us in advance and then we see how they all connect in perfect harmony. This is the prophetic glory of God. In contrast to human predictions, God never gets it wrong. True prophecy is always 100% accurate all the time. This is because true prophecy is of God. The God of the Bible is UNIQUELY a God of prophecy! 2 Peter 1:20–21 (ESV) 20 knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. 21 For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Aleddra’s VP of Sales and Marketing, Dr. Matthew Maa is here to talk about being different in the Disinfection technology business right now. He tells us what separates PECO tech from UV-based options. Aleddra uses PECO and UV-A and UV-C in different cases because not all applications are the same. We discuss the current market for disinfection, different types of applications and what we really need from these technologies. We also brought up the idea of selling some quick hygiene theater versus actually creating proper long-term solutions. One seems like a smart play for quick learners in the industry, but it looks like Johnny-Come-Lately and his snake oil consultant will be going after both. We do discuss safety surrounding UV lighting, and what happens to all these lamps and fixtures in five years when airborne viruses aren’t at top-of-mind.

Welcome to Majority.FM's AM QUICKIE! Brought to you by justcoffee.coop TODAY'S HEADLINES: The daily coronavirus death toll is climbing in thirty states, and Anthony Fauci says it might be a good idea to cancel Thanksgiving. You didn’t feel like cooking anyway, did you? Meanwhile, two staff close to Kamala Harris have tested positive for coronavirus. And Joe Biden made a thoughtful contrast to Donald Trump in last night’s head-to-head TV town halls. And lastly, YouTube joins Twitter and Facebook in cracking down on Q-Anon conspiracy theorists. The disinformation machines are going into overdrive ahead of the election. THESE ARE THE STORIES YOU NEED TO KNOW: Coronavirus cases are surging across the northern hemisphere, and public health experts are warning that the worst is yet to come. In Europe, authorities are imposing another round of curfews and restrictions. And in the United States, the lack of a coordinated response is pushing the country toward a third peak in new case numbers. The New York Times reports that seventeen states are seeing surges unlike anything they experienced earlier in the pandemic. States including Alaska, Minnesota, Montana and Wisconsin reported more new cases during the seven-day stretch that ended on Wednesday than in any other week since the virus arrived in the country. Reports of new cases are trending upward in forty one states over the last two weeks, while nine states are holding case numbers roughly steady. No state in the country is seeing a sustained decline. According to the Associated Press, the biggest surges in the Midwest and Great Plains, where resistance to wearing masks and observing other social distancing practices has been running high. Deaths per day are climbing in thirty states. Doctor Peter Hotez, an infectious-disease specialist at the Baylor College of Medicine in Texas, told the AP that the three months following the November 3rd presidential election could prove especially damaging when it comes to fighting the virus. Hotez said QUOTE We haven’t had much of a national strategy to begin with... People are going to be worried, scared and feeling abandoned by the federal government ENDQUOTE. Doctor Anthony Fauci, the federal government’s point man on the coronavirus, said Americans may have to bite the bullet and cancel their plans for a big family Thanksgiving this year. Any gathering involving out-of-state travel or mingling with elderly relatives is especially discouraged. Sorry grandma, but it’s for your own good. Harris aides catch coronavirus One month after setting an election fundraising record, Joe Biden has done it again. The Biden campaign revealed it brought in $383 million last month, CBS News reports, up from the $365 million raised in August. September’s total included contributions from 1.1 million new donors, bringing the number of contributors to the campaign to 5.5 million. There was a setback yesterday, however. Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris suspended in-person campaigning through Sunday after two people who were traveling with her tested positive for the coronavirus. One person who tested positive was a flight crew member. The other was Harris’s communications director, Liz Allen. Harris and her husband both tested negative yesterday. Biden himself appeared live last night from the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia for an ABC News town hall moderated by George Stephanopolous. Biden stuck mostly to describing his moderate policies in detail and trotting out a litany of supporting statistics. Donald Trump staged a competing town hall from Miami for NBC News. Before the event, Trump dissed the network and boasted about the free airtime for his campaign. Then during it he endorsed Q-Anon conspiracy theorists as an anti-pedophilia group and said he was unsure if Democrats were a satanic cult. The competing town halls were scheduled after Trump pulled out of the second presidential debate following his coronavirus infection. YouTube bans QAnon propaganda YouTube took action yesterday to ban more conspiracy theory-promoting channels and videos – specifically Q-Anon and Pizzagate. Yesterday on its blog, the company said QUOTE we are taking another step in our efforts to curb hate and harassment by removing more conspiracy theory content used to justify real- world violence ENDQUOTE. The new rules prohibit content that threatens or harrasses someone by suggesting they are complicit in one of these harmful conspiracies. A number of popular accounts were swiftly removed shortly after the announcement, the Washington Post reported. Twitter and Facebook have already taken steps to ban Q-Anon from their platforms, so YouTube is something of a Johnny-Come-Lately. Also this week, Twitter removed a small network of fake accounts purportedly belonging to Black supporters of Donald Trump. One of the fake accounts claimed to be a married US Marine with three children who was a newly converted Republican. It had more than eighteen thousand followers before being suspended. Separately, both Facebook and Twitter took steps to limit readership of an article by the New York Post about alleged emails from Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s son Hunter. It’s rare for the social media companies to penalize a traditional media outlet. But the companies are worried about a leak of hacked and unverified documents that could help swing the November election, after taking criticism for not doing enough to fight the spread of misinformation in 2016. A little over-correction may be preferable to the status quo here. AND NOW FOR SOME QUICKER QUICKIES: Donald Trump yesterday boasted to a cheering crowd in Greenville, North Carolina, that federal agents last month summarily executed an anti-fascist criminal suspect from Portland, Oregon, named Michael Reinoehl. Trump has brought up Reinoehl’s killing before, but yesterday was the first time he said US Marshals made no attempt to apprehend Reinoehl before shooting him. As Trump said, QUOTE They knew who he was. They didn’t want to arrest him ENDQUOTE. Looks like America’s death squads are coming home. Reuters reports that record gun sales in the US this year are being driven in part by a surge in first-time buyers. Many are women, minorities and politically liberal buyers who once would not have considered gun ownership. Industry figures suggest 5 million people purchased firearms for the first time in the first seven months of this year, which is, as they say on the internet, very 2020. Six months after the complaints surfaced about working conditions in an Amazon call center in the Philippines, workers told NBC News things have only gotten worse. The subcontracted workers who answer customer calls for the Amazon Ring home alarm system are reportedly forced into QUOTE subhuman ENDQUOTE conditions where coronavirus spreads rapidly. They are speaking up despite a contractual confidentiality clause that threatens them with a fine equivalent to two years’ salary. Here you go, another reason not to buy one of those creepy surveillance cameras. A Brazilian senator allied to far-right President Jair Bolsonaro was caught hiding, uh, dirty money in his underwear during a corruption investigation, according to Agence France- Presse. In an attempt to conceal it from the police who were raiding his home, Chico Rodrigues reportedly stuffed the equivalent of $5,300 cash QUOTE between his buttocks ENDQUOTE. He claims to have done nothing wrong. Better luck next time, Chico. That’s all for the AM Quickie. Join us this afternoon on the Majority Report.
