What, how, and why does the Federal Reserve do what it does? Hosts Michael Klein and Deborah Willenborg dive into a lively, humorous, and insightful conversation with Matuschka Lindo Briggs of the Little Rock branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis to get to the bottom of it all. From the Fed's ag advisory council to the Beige Book, and from consumer confidence to what's going on in Kansas City, this episode makes the decisions behind monetary policy relatable and even fun. With special guest: Matuschka Lindo Briggs, senior vice president and regional executive of the Little Rock Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Hosted by: Michael Klein and Deborah Willenborg
On this episode of the Astonishing Healthcare podcast, we discuss how modern technology - Judi® - brings efficiency to the labor union market with Capital Rx's Mike Miele, FSA, MAAA (Senior Vice President of Insured Services), Christie Peperato (Manager, Payment & Operations), and Kelly Smith (Product Manager). Who knew that Capital Rx has an hours banking system? Why did we build one? Well, every hour a union worker works may be tracked and "banked" for benefits eligibility purposes. So, those hours and the accuracy of the reporting matter... a lot. And as Christie describes, it's been a manual, "painful" process forever. After Mike explains the unique needs of union clients and what hours banking is all about, Christie and Kelly dive into how this newly developed system alleviates the pain by automating the tracking of work hours and eligibility for health benefits and having everything, including payments, processed in one system. By removing the manual burden on union office managers and making it easy for contractors to submit the data, managers and plan administrators can focus on what matters most: taking care of members' needs. Want to help name the new system? Drop us an email.

Generational wealth is something many people want. As parents, we fight to build a legacy that future generations can benefit from. We want to take care of our family long after we're gone. The problem is, the traditional banking system doesn't support generational wealth. Banks want to take people's money and multiply it for themselves, not for their customers. What if you could create your own family banking system that does all the things banks do but it's all working in your favor? Infinite Banking makes this possible. Instead of having your children borrow money from banks, what if they could borrow money directly from the family business. This doesn't just provide for their current financial needs, but helps them build wealth in the long run. How do you build a family bank without turning your kids into entitled brats? How did Hannah Kesler buy a million dollar penthouse using the family bank? In this episode, 2nd generation Infinite Banking coach, speaker and entrepreneur, Hannah Kesler shares how their family leverages the method, and why a family bank beats even the best traditional banks. Things You'll Learn In This Episode -Teaching beats selling Most financial advisors are always trying to drive people towards the sale. Is it better to take the approach of educating and empowering people? -What many families get wrong We've all heard stories of kids who deplete the family's wealth by spending irresponsibly. How do you build a banking system with guardrails against this? -The power of a family business backed by Infinite Banking How did Hannah buy a million dollar penthouse using the family banking system? Guest Bio Hannah Kesler “The Single Millionaire Chick” is a 2nd generation Infinite Banking Concept expert, speaker and author. Hannah and her father travel all around the country to teach; how to recycle, recapture, and keep total control of your hard-earned dollars. Hannah has been mentored since a young child about how money REALLY works. She has been implementing the Infinite Banking Concept since she was 18 years old and has been involved in real estate since 20 years of age. Her dreams are to build a real estate empire and become a fashion designer to start her own clothing line/boutique. With this wealth management tool, she knows those dreams will become a reality sooner than later. Imagine a world where your family's financial future is not dictated by banks but built by you. What if you could create a self-sustaining system provides security and offers opportunities for generations to come? For us, this is not just a concept—it's our reality through family banking. Let us take you on a journey into how we built our Marshall Family Bank using the Infinite Banking Concept and how you can start building one too. https://www.youtube.com/live/uj_1A7Prpr8 Welcome to the Money Advantage! Here, we equip you with practical financial strategies to take control of your wealth, avoid common pitfalls, and create a legacy that lasts. Today's focus? Family banking—an approach rooted in Infinite Banking that allows families to take control of their financial futures, break free from traditional banks, and pass wealth along for generations. Today, we're discussing the Marshall family Bank —a system we've developed using Infinite Banking through specially designed whole life insurance policies. Clarify Your Goals2. Work with a Knowledgeable Advisor3. Get started and Stay Committed4. Educate Your FamilyThe Case for Family BankingBook A Strategy Call The Power of Family Banking In this article and podcast, we'll reveal how we established our family bank, the lessons we've learned, and actionable steps to start your own journey. This approach has allowed us to: Store, access, and grow our capital sustainably. Fund both personal and generational goals. Create a lasting legacy of financial security. Family banking is more than a strategy—it's a lifestyle. At its core, it's about reclaiming control of the banking function in your life by creating a financial system that works for you, not against you. Infinite Banking, the foundation of family banking, leverages the cash value of whole life insurance policies to build a pool of capital you can access and use throughout your life. Unlike traditional banks, this approach allows you to: Earn uninterrupted compound growth on your money. Borrow from your policy while it continues to grow. Create financial stability for future generations with a guaranteed death benefit. Nelson Nash, the founder of this concept, famously said, “Compounding is the eighth wonder of the world.” Infinite Banking magnifies this principle by letting you benefit from uninterrupted growth over decades. How We Started Our Family Bank Our journey began in 2012 with a single whole life insurance policy funded by a $10,000 annual premium. At the time, we were searching for a safe and liquid place to store our savings. At the time, we were overweighted in gold and silver, which fell short in terms of accessibility and stability. This led us to Infinite Banking. With this system, we gained: Liquidity: Instant access to cash when we needed it. Growth: Tax-advantaged, consistent growth over time. Legacy: A financial tool that benefits our family even after our lifetime. Policy Details in the YouTube video link near the top of this article, you can watch the live recording of the podcast episode to see the high-level details of our family bank as of Dec 2024 and see a deep dive into the annual statement of one of our policies. Lessons Learned Along the Way Starting Early Pays Off If there's one thing we wish we could change, it's starting sooner. The earlier you begin, the longer your policies have to grow and compound. As we've learned, compounding is a slow process initially but accelerates dramatically over time. For instance, in one of our policies, the annual cash value growth now exceeds the premium we pay—one of the “break-even” poi...

Here comes Chinese central bank bond buying, but this is no QE. For a really long time, we've been told to trust traditional financial instruments — stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and 401(k)s managed by others. But the truth is, these aren't the best ways to build long-term wealth. Many people are investing in things they don't fully understand, allowing big banks and financial institutions to profit at their expense. Traditional investment routes don't have your best interests at heart, especially when we factor in the substantial fees and interest payments that eat away at potential returns. Instead of building wealth, these conventional paths can often leave you with less than you started. But we don't have to play by those rules. What if you could be your own bank? How can you recapture the money you pay out in interest, instead of giving it to a bank or lender? In this episode, I discuss how to build wealth using your 401k or Infinite Banking Policy to become your own bank, allowing you to pay off debt, recapture interest, and invest by taking loans, ultimately keeping wealth within your own system. I also introduce former NFL player Arthur Marshall, who shares insights on his football career, real estate investing, and opportunities with the IPG Fixed Income Fund. Things You'll Learn In This Episode The 5% Only 5 out of 100 people achieve financial stability by retirement, despite widespread opportunities. What factors prevent most people from reaching financial security in a world full of opportunities? Front window focus Focus on the future and your goals, not the past, to drive progress and success. How do we make sure we're looking through the front window, instead of being focused on the rearview mirror when it comes to achieving your goals? Get 99% of the job done Consistently focusing on your goals and putting in that extra 5% brings you closer to success. How do we keep the focus and the faith when it comes achieving the goals we have set for ourselves? Guest Bio Arthur James Marshall Jr. is a former American football wide receiver in the NCAA and the National Football League. Marshall played for the Denver Broncos for two years and the New York Giants for three years. Following his collegiate gameplay, Marshall was signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent from 1992 to 1993. Marshall was then signed by the New York Giants from 1994 to 1996. Arthur James Marshall graduated from the University of Georgia in 1991 with a degree in Business Administration and a major in Real Estate. He began his career in the construction and development industry in 1999. Marshall's companies have built multi-family duplexes, townhomes, apartments, 1000 square-foot patio homes, and over 10,000 square-foot mansions in his home state of Georgia. On Tuesday, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) released the final version of the Personal Financial Data Rights Rule that requires many financial institutions, credit card issuers, and other financial service providers that facilitate payments (including mobile wallets and payment apps) to support new open banking standards and make account records accessible and portable. The CFPB uses the term “open banking” to refer to the ability of customers to share personal financial data between a network of entities. https://www.kelleydrye.com/viewpoints/blogs/ad-law-access/cfpb-pushes-move-to-an-open-banking-system-with-the-personal-financial-data-rights-rule-and-sparks-immediate-court-challenges-from-industry Donnelly McDowell dmcdowell@kelleydrye.com (202) 342-8645 www.kelleydrye.com/people/donnelly-l-mcdowell Matt Luzadder mluzadder@kelleydrye.com (312) 857-2623 https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/matthew-c-luzadder Alex Schneider aschneider@kelleydrye.com (202) 342-8634 https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/alexander-i-schneider Leah Plagge Rabkin lrabkin@kelleydrye.com (202) 342-8523 www.kelleydrye.com/people/leah-plagge-rabkin Hosted by Simone Roach Subscribe to the Ad Law Access blog - www.kelleydrye.com/subscribe Subscribe to the Ad Law News Newsletter - www.kelleydrye.com/subscribe View the Advertising and Privacy Law Resource Center - www.kelleydrye.com/advertising-and-privacy-law Find all of our links here linktr.ee/KelleyDryeAdLaw

There is a story brewing in repo. Fails have broken a long run trend and they did it in early August. Latest data from FRBNY says that's still the case. It fits with a bunch of other data as well as brings up the ongoing unwind in the real yen carry trade. Finally, behind all of it is US recession fears driving fails, collateral, Japan's withdrawal, and more. And you don't have to take my word for it; hear it (or read it) straight from a carry trader himself. They discuss the journey through the seven levels—self-improvement, establishing a baseline minimum (BAM), understanding liquidity, creating a banking system, investing in cash-flowing assets, developing systems and processes, and finally reaching and cycling back through abundance. The hosts emphasize that financial freedom is not a one-time achievement but a cyclical process that offers freedom of choice and continuous personal and financial growth. They also discuss the importance of annual planning, adapting to life changes, and focus on the mental and emotional aspects of financial strategy. Additionally, there's an announcement of a forthcoming book detailing this process.Chapters00:00 Introduction to Tactical Empire00:31 Hosts' Personal Updates01:17 Overview of Financial Freedom Levels02:51 Deep Dive into Level Seven05:28 Personal Experiences and Insights07:41 The Continuous Cycle of Growth09:01 Abundance Mindset and Final Thoughts18:06 Conclusion and Community InvitationYou can connect with Shawn Rider on Facebook and Instagram. In this episode of the Tactical Empire, Jeff Smith and Shawn Rider discuss the fifth level of financial freedom: investing in cash-flowing assets. They emphasize the importance of laying a financial foundation before reaching this level, which includes the previous steps of recognizing yourself as an asset, establishing a bare minimum, ensuring liquidity, and creating a personal banking system. The hosts share their preference for real estate due to its control and value-adding potential, while also acknowledging other cash flow-focused investments like dividend-producing stocks. They stress the need for continuous education and understanding one's risk tolerance. The episode highlights the importance of choosing investments that provide consistent returns and tax benefits, and emphasizes the ultimate goal of financial freedom through strategic asset acquisition. They also provide insights into balancing reinvesting in one's primary business versus diversifying into new investment opportunities.Chapters00:00 Introduction to Tactical Empire00:34 Meet Shawn Rider01:22 Seven Levels of Financial Freedom Overview02:18 Level 5: Investing in Cash Flowing Assets03:06 Real Estate as a Preferred Asset Class03:53 The Importance of Financial Education15:08 Control and Freedom Through Investments22:47 Conclusion and Call to ActionYou can connect with Shawn Rider on Facebook and Instagram. In this episode of The Tactical Empire, Jeff Smith and Shawn Rider delve into Level Four of the Seven Levels of Financial Freedom. They introduce the concept of creating your own banking system through high early cash value life insurance policies. This revolutionary approach allows your money to work harder by earning interest continually, while also enabling you to borrow against the policy for major expenses and investments without liquidating your cash reserves. Jeff and Shawn discuss the immense benefits of infinite banking, the importance of properly structuring these policies, and share practical examples of how this strategy can reshape your financial future and create a sustainable path to high achievement and abundance.Chapters:00:00 Introduction to The Tactical Empire00:33 Introducing Level Four: Building Your Own Banking System01:54 Understanding the Infinite Banking Concept05:50 Practical Applications and Benefits08:58 Advanced Strategies and Personal Experiences21:45 Conclusion and Next StepsYou can connect with Shawn Rider on Facebook and Instagram.
