Låten vann enkelt Melodifestivalen 1988, men den blev ingen brottarhit på listorna och kom på blygsamma 12e plats i Eurovision Song Contest MEN den har blivit en evergreen som idag sjungs på matcher och avslutar en kul utekväll. Py Bäckman skrev text och musik och berättar om hur hon började skriva låten och vilken titel den hade från början. Hör om hennes kreativa låtskrivarprocess, om pranket på Billy Butt, varför hon inte ville sjunga låten själv, om artisten som egentligen skulle sjungit in den och varför Tomnmy Körberg blev andrahandsvalet. On the guest lists among other were also Emmy who although being Norwegian will represent Ireland the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with the song "Laika Party". Melody (Spain 2025) at Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam MEET THE EUROSTARS 2025 - Interview with Melody (Spain 2025): The 15th edition of Eurovision in Concert took place on 05 Apr 2025 from Amsterdam's AFAS LIVE venue with acts from 30 countries that are competing at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 to showcase their entries to the 6000 plus Eurovision Fans that arrived to watch the performances. Before the concert there was a Media Event where national and internationrepresentatives of the media could meet the artists and conduct short interviews. Radio International's Salman and JP were on location and conducted interviews with some of the artists you will hear on Radio International over the weeks to come. The Busker (Malta 2023) at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 as composers Interview with The Busker (Malta 2023) at Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025: Radio International met two of the three members of the Maltese Group the Busker who represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool with the song "Dance our own party". Both members of the group wrote two competing songs for other Maltese artists that took part at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025. JP caught up with the Busker just after the Semi Final in front of the stage. Enjoy this interview on the show this week. Sami Grand Prix 2025: The Sámi Grand Prix is a Sámi yoik and song competition organized annually by the Sámi Music Festival organization featuring participants from all corners of the Sami Land. While the majority of its participants have been from the Norwegian side of Sápmi, Sámi from the Swedish, Finnish, and Russian sides have been increasingly participating in recent years too. Each participant submits an original piece to be performed live in an auditorium in Kautokeino during the Sámi Easter Festival. Originally broadcast on the radio in a limited area, they have started to be shown on TV and livestreamed as well and can be watched from anywhere in the world. Listeners and viewers can cast their vote for their favorites in two categories. A combined televoting and jury result is calculated for each participant. The televotes and the jury votes each currently count for 50% of the participant's scores. The participants who receive the most votes in the song category and in the yoik category are declared the winners of these respective categories. Melodifestivalen 2025 - The Grand Final: "Sverige, vi har ett resultat" On Saturday, 08 Mar 2025 the Grnd Final of Melodifestivalen 2025 took place in the Strawberry Arena in Solna near Stockholm. At the end of the voting sequence Finnish trio KAJ were announced to be the winner of Melodifestivalen 2025 with the song "Bara Bada Bastu" and with this Sweden's representatives to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Winner of Melodifvestialen 2025 and Sweden's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 KAJ Melodifestivalen is the biggest National Final selection process in the world of the Eurovision Song Contest. It is the 65th edition and is produced by Swedish broadcaster SVT. 30 entries out of 2794 submitted songs made it to the shows. The 30 entries will take part in the competition across five heats. Each heat consists of six songs, with the top two songs directly qualifying for the final. Unlike in the previous edition, only the third-placing song will proceed to a final qualification round at the end of the fifth heat, which will now feature five songs instead of ten. Two songs in the final qualification will then progress to the final, which will comprise of 12 songs. The winner of the final will be determined by the usual 50/50 combination of votes from the public and an international jury. All shows were hosted by Edvin Törnblom and Kristina "Keyoo" Petrushina. Melodifestivalen 2025 - The Grand Final: "Sverige, vi har ett resultat" On Saturday, 08 Mar 2025 the Grnd Final of Melodifestivalen 2025 took place in the Strawberry Arena in Solna near Stockholm. At the end of the voting sequence Finnish trio KAJ were announced to be the winner of Melodifestivalen 2025 with the song "Bara Bada Bastu" and with this Sweden's representatives to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Winner of Melodifvestialen 2025 and Sweden's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 KAJ Melodifestivalen is the biggest National Final selection process in the world of the Eurovision Song Contest. It is the 65th edition and is produced by Swedish broadcaster SVT. 30 entries out of 2794 submitted songs made it to the shows. The 30 entries will take part in the competition across five heats. Each heat consists of six songs, with the top two songs directly qualifying for the final. Unlike in the previous edition, only the third-placing song will proceed to a final qualification round at the end of the fifth heat, which will now feature five songs instead of ten. Two songs in the final qualification will then progress to the final, which will comprise of 12 songs. The winner of the final will be determined by the usual 50/50 combination of votes from the public and an international jury. All shows were hosted by Edvin Törnblom and Kristina "Keyoo" Petrushina.
