So in this episode, first thing Katie and I discuss is the current but ending very soon, DragonSpiral Decent. Not very exciting, and not very many dragons. But we also talk a good bit about the Pokemon GO Holidays coming up in a week, and there is so much to talk about we actually might have missed a couple things. Im positive we did not though. We also open up some Pokemon TCG so come on over and have a listen and join the fun! Battles in Pokemon Go will queue up the next attack so furiously tapping the screen will just tire yourself out. This is how you undertap in pvp or dodge in gyms and Raids. If you are very new to a gym and are going to fight it to change your color before the last battle wait to spin the pokestop attached to it till it is your team's color PokeStops Explainer what you need to know a Pokestop has a cooldown of 5 minutes before you can spin and receive items again. Defeating a Team Go Rocket Grunt will reactivate the pokestop and let you spin to give you the items they were holding* from you. The 7th day of Pokestops spins will 7x the items you would get. Every 10th pokestop will give you additional items. Gym medals award you with more items about 30 + so once you have a gym at Gold Tier make sure to spin that gym on your 7 day Pokestop Streak. We are pretty sure it still works but There is a crazy trick you can manage if you happen to be playing late at night. If you spin your 9 pokestops and Spin a gym you have a gold medal at 12:01am on your 7 day streak and you should get a crazy amount of items out of it. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/augmentednaturally/message

We broke down every bit of information from Niantics news post about just the levels itself. Since each level dealt with a different Aspect of the game we talked about each one. Acquiring 41 is basically a catch-athon so open gifts, save balls and berries. 42 Evolutions, speculated on Galar Evolutions, but our thoughts were get all the Evolution stones you can, 7day streak and spinning Pokestops for the various Gen2 stones(maybe gifts), Sinnoh and Unova Stones can be Acquired by doing PVP with a trainer(3per day), Team Leader(1 per day) or fighting a Team Go Rocket leader. Prewalk 2 Eevees to 10 km for the Evolutions save the coin or a Mossy & Glacier Lures Not sure about Sylveon, but save a few ™`s in the event that they introduce it for the global launch. If they introduce a similar mechanic requiring it to learn a Fairy type move. 43 Gym Battles and Platinum Medals Hit the Gyms early in the day it's a battle for each pokemon beat don't heal your pokemon In between fight to save on potions. Best Buddies have a Revive if you switch them in and out of your Buddy slot if they faint. That why the limit is 20 Swaps per day. 44 GBL fighting, not much for us to talk about 45 Team Go Rocket Take your Time, fight the Team leaders after fighting 6 regular Grunts, Do Not Buy a Radar unless you have 2 leaders in close proximity as any grunt fought while having a Radar will not acquire mysterious Components. Also if you have, or they release another Research with Giovanni keep the Super Rocket Radar Equipped so you can defeat the extra Decoys that will count for Mysterious Components and Team Go Rocket defeats. 46 Research Eggs and Snapshots time sink This will be best on a Community day when every research is catch 3, it will be an easy 20-30 considering your average large park. Save your Research Queue Pokemon holds around 40 pokemon and if you are doing alot of throw, catch or berry Quests having a pokemon to catch on Demand make a research grind 100% easier. Hope for an Egg Event or just using 2km in the Infinite incubator. The 7 Day Snapshot is to keep from people buying too many incubators and burning out. 47 Complete a lot of Raids, get every bonus you can. Maybe they will want people to beat a raid with a full team of Murkows? Dont Rush hit the Raid Hours or other raid events. 48 Buddy Up it Could be for new distances, acquire new Souvenirs or it add up the total. Silph road hadResearched where buddies Acquired Their Skipping Stones https://thesilphroad.com/science/souvenir-survey-skipping-stones/ Which means that each location or event with an Ultra Buddy where you open their gift Could reward a unique Souvenir. 49 Friendship Tier Gain more levels, send more gifts, do more trades, save some old pokemon, Save the Gift pokemon and Trade for a higher Distance medal or just trade a bunch for the different medal tiers. 50 Make Excellent Throws save those big pokemon in the research queue, Catch legendary pokemon Or do Both with a large Raid Boss, team go Rocket leaders with 1500cp pokemon will ask for the perfect balance of Strategy and damage, using all the pvp skills. Australia is a Test so some of our theories could hold or their numbers could change too. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/augmentednaturally/message
The title is brought to you by currans2311 Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back with another fantastic episode. Charles has been on fire with the game lately; one might even say he has evolved --- perhaps even mega evolved. This entire year has been engulfed in events and August is no different. That said, Niantic has occassionally flubbed the events, like this last week forgetting to put Deino into 7km eggs for half the event. Next week should be fun with Elgyem and shiny Unown popping up in the world. Magikarp community day is just around the corner; as is the GO Fest make up day. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments! Thanks to our awesome Patrons we will keep producing and improving the Pokémon GO Podcast. With your help everyone “catch ‘em all,” and you can start by going to giantsizeteamup.com/support/ and growing your community! We thank you all, for your support, and we hope you can help us serve you better as the show continues to grow and evolve. Thanks to ALL of our awesome listeners, especially our Patrons. It’s time to become an Ingress Agent What seemed like a slow news week turned in to some fantastic conversations about our expectations of events, and how you can become proactive in shaping the future of the Pokemon GO world map. We talk Swinub Community Day and have differing levels of excitement for the event. We had limited coverage from the Porto Alegre Safari Zone, but it seemed to be the smallest SZ event to date. We take a top level dive into how Open Street Map shapes the layout of spawns and nests, particularly how improper map tags have created a MEGANEST out of Long Island, NY. If you are interested in becoming an editor of OSM, we provide some instructional links. The big deal of the week was a new reward system for Ingress agents to take part in Operation Portal Recon, which provides the foundation for new PokeStops and Gyms in Pokemon GO. Do you have a Moose Statue at the end of your block that would make a good PokeStop, we discuss how you can make it happen. Both: *shared laughter* R: So I may or may not have screwed up the last recording, and I really won't know until I get it into the computer to find out. So we're going to do it again and I'm going to make Tony suffer through it because he's awesome like that! Tony, what got you started in selling toys? T: Pretty much my love of them. I've always had toys and I never really grew out of it, so I wanted to keep that going and so I turned a hobby into a business. R; You started off by having a shop in a local flea market, what drove you to make the jump to having a retail space? T: It came down to availability — with the flea market being [open] three days and me growing out of the space I was in. I kept getting a bigger and bigger space, and I just figured it was time to get a building. R: Gotchya. What kind of toys and other items do you carry? T: There is a little bit of everything. We started at the flea market with vintage used toys that people would bring in to us, and then when I moved here, I started getting into new toys from NECA and Funko — stuff like that. R: So do you have any primo stuff for the fine dining toy collector? T: Every now and then we'll get stuff from collectors that we'll bring in, like packages Ninja Turtles from the 80's or stuff from NECA that is really highly detailed or articulated. Stuff that might be pricier, but worth the money. R: I notice you also have vintage functional arcade machines. What inspired the decision to include those in your space? T: I always loved going to the arcade when I was a kid. There was a movie theater that my parents would take my brothers and I to; and before every movie, we would sit there and play arcade games until it was time to go in and watch it. I've watched them all shut down all over the place, and I just wanted to try and bring that back. R: Gotchya. Do you host any special extended hour events like arcade or Collectible Card Game tournaments? T: We do with the arcade games. We have free arcade day once a month that we try to do toward the end of the month. It's what it sounds like: just come in and play free arcades all day. () R: Awesome! So, as I said, you are the progenitor of the Classic Plastics Toy and Comic Expo coming up again March 4th and 5th. This will be the fourth year you’ve hosted the CPT&CE, the third year it will be taking place at the Parkersburg Art Center. What sparked the truly daunting task of organizing an expo? T: My buddy, Todd Wines works for The Red Cross and they were looking for a fundraiser that would be in different age groups with different types of people that they don't normally get any kind of support from, so he came to me and asked "Do you want to do a toy and comics expo?" – with him being a huge comic nerd - and of course, I said yes. *laughter* R: Is it just you pulling the strings, or do you have a crew helping to get all the gears moving? T: For the most part, it's just me. Todd does help when he can, but with his job being in disaster relief, it's just a matter of if there's going to be a flood or something. So if that happens, he really has to focus on that which leaves me to be the only one. But I do have employees that I can pay to help me out as well. R: This year you’re featuring nearly 100 vendors and guests. How well has the attendance grown over the past four years? T: The first year was in a church on South Side [Parkersburg], and it had 300 people. Last year - our 3rd year - we had 1200 people. We're hoping to get over 2000 people with it being the first two-day show, but it is just a kind of wait-and-see. R: And as you said, this is the first multi-day event. Why was the decision made to extend the expo? T: Last year there were so many people. The Art Center is a pretty decent-sized building, but there were so many people on the floor that it was hard to get through the aisles and see all the inventory and enjoy the show as much as people wanted. So we thought spreading it out over the two days would give people the opportunity to choose when and what day they wanted to come. R: Awesome! Who can we expect to see this year, then? T: This year we have Steve Cardenas, the second red ranger from Power Rangers — Rocky, the red ranger if anyone watches the show. Along with Tim Clark, an 80's toy designer. He did stuff like Boglins and Sectaurs. He worked a little bit on Fraggle Rock. And then the local legend, Jordan Patton is back again this year from SyFy's Face Off and does the show Deadnecks. R: We have the expo, and then we have some external events that are happening as well. What are some of the events that are happening at the expo and outside of it that will really make for the first weekend of March to be a truly grand adventure for anyone coming to downtown Parkersburg? T: Starting with the outside stuff first: It's being done by Downtown PKB again. They did an event last year that they got really good reception from - Savor Saturday - that they're going to be doing again this year. It's going to include 12 different restaurants [in the downtown area] that you can walk around and get dollar samples from. So if you haven't eaten at any of the downtown restaurants, it gives you a really good chance to try out some of what's on their menu. There's also going to be this guy, - I don't even know his name - he came into the store one time and said "You let me into the show one day for free, and I'll go around all the PokeStops downtown and put lures on them." So that is going to be at noon — the same time as people are walking around for Savory Saturday. You can take advantage of a whole bunch of lures and sample a whole bunch of restaurants down here. Inside, the Vienna Library is doing events like Lego Building and Story Time on Sunday. J&M Bookstore on South Side is doing board games and tabletop events both Saturday and Sunday; along with Rare Drops from Huntington doing video game tournaments. Both of these will be in the basement of the Art Center. Then there will be a cosplay contest and I'm probably forgetting something else. *laughter* R: *laughter* It is hard to keep track of all of it, isn't it? T: It is! R: So finally, do you have anything you’d like to add that I may have forgotten to cover? T: I can't remember if it was mentioned, but proceeds to the show go towards Downtown PKB and the Arts Center — they'll be split in half. I do not get any profit from this. This is something that is done for the community and as a promotion for my store. In the past, it was done for the Red Cross, but we changed to Downtown PKB this year. So if you guys are really wanting to support your local area and your local businesses, coming to the expo is going to be really important. Rem: Awesome! You can join us in the fun at the Classic Plastics Toy & Comic Expo, March 4th and 5th at the Parkersburg Art Center, located at 725 Market Street in Parkersburg West Virginia. Admission is $5 per person each day, or $8 for a two-day pass. Children 10 and under are free with paid adult admission. All proceeds go to the and . More information about the expo can be found at , link in the notes; or you can search on Facebook for real-time updates on the event. Don’t forget to come down to the as well – , located at 406 Market Street in Parkersburg, West Virginia – and give Tony all the love and support you can! Thanks again, Tony, for having me down and wasting time with me! I really appreciate it! Tony: Thanks for having me! This week, Ken reviews this fall’s back-to-school college and university videos, from presidential welcomes to o-week excitement, from bubble gum records to Pokémon Go! We looked at “O-Week Winners & Sinners” in a previous episode. https://youtu.be/imr8-zMyEDg This time, we’re focused on more official videos: UPEI provided vital orientation information in their video. https://youtu.be/xzzWt_xswSY Trinity Western University recaps the excitement of move-in day. https://youtu.be/jMm7Mw1FqNI Ryerson University organized more than 1200 students, staff and faculty to “pop” the Guiness world record for bubble gum blowing. https://youtu.be/AgI0arSkyLI But back-to-school videos also tackle “heavier” issues. In a previous episode we looked at campus and dorm room safety videos. https://youtu.be/NRPY2RSSfK8?t=2m1s Respect and sexual consent campaigns are also widespread at this time of year, and for good reason: The first few weeks of school are when the vast majority of sexual assaults occur. In an effort to keep things gender-neutral, this fall the Sexual Assault Resource Centre at Montreal’s Concordia University enlisted some unusual spokesfruit to explain sexual consent. https://youtu.be/zzuTjVwlcgo Just as we’ve seen holiday greeting videos proliferating in December, it’s no surprise to see presidential “welcome back” videos in September. Most just capture a president’s welcome to new students, although others are specifically directed at staff and faculty, and some manage to incorporate some quirky humour, like this from St Lawrence College president Glenn Vollebregt: https://youtu.be/i2jSZd9wjYM And then there is Pokémon Go, perhaps the viral sensation of the summer. The Pokemon GO craze has made headline news across the globe, and now a City of Toronto official is calling for the creator of the mobile game to take the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal off its list of PokeStops. Already highly congested, the Island Terminal is now being overrun by people chasing the cartoon monsters. Matthew Cutler from the Parks and Rec department joins us. Toronto Police Constable Clint Stibbe also joins us to talk about the security concerns for pedestrians.

Headline Nerds- 'Star Trek' actor Anton Yelchin is killed in a freak car accident at his Los Angeles home. (June 19) LOS ANGELES (AP) — Anton Yelchin, a rising actor best known for playing Chekov in the new "Star Trek" films, was killed by his own car as it rolled down his driveway.. The car pinned the 27 Yelchin against a brick mailbox pillar and a security fence at his home in Los Angeles, He had gotten out of the vehicle momentarily, but police did not say why he was behind it when it started rolling. Yelchin was on his way to meet friends for a rehearsal, When he didn't show up, the group came to his home and found him dead. The freak accident tragically cuts short the promising career of an actor whom audiences were still getting to know and who had great artistic ambition. "Star Trek Beyond," the third film in the rebooted series, comes out in July. May the force of a gigantic robot be with you- Legendary Pictures has set Star Wars: The Force Awakens star John Boyega for the lead role for the second installment of its Pacific Rim franchise. Steven S. DeKnight is directing the film, which will begin production in the fourth quarter of this year, based on the world created by Guillermo del Toro and Travis Beacham. Boyega will play the son of the character played by Idris Elba in the del Toro-directed original film. del Toro said: “I am very proud and happy to welcome John into a fantastic sandbox. The Pacific Rim universe will be reinforced with him as a leading man as it continues to be a multicultural, multi-layered world. ‘The World saving the world’ was our goal and I couldn’t think of a better man for the job.” Star Trek, to bloodily go where no one has gore before - ENLARGE PHOTO Showrunner Bryan Fuller points out that the upcoming Star Trek TV series will be unlike any previous small-screen incarnation of the franchise in at least one key respect, It won’t be bound by broadcast content standards. Fuller said that the eagerly awaited new show, which will debut on CBS in January but then switch to the streaming service CBS All Access, will have a rather different prime directive than the previous 762 hours of TV-sized Trek, which either ran entirely on broadcast networks or in syndication. “Because we’re CBS All Access, we’re not subject to network broadcast standards and practices.” “It will likely affect us more in terms of what we can do graphically. Star Trek’s not necessarily a universe where I want to hear a lot of profanity.” Hodor, Hodor, Ho da door please- Being a Game of Thrones fan means you always have to be prepared to say goodbye to one of your beloved characters. Unless we're talking about Jon Snow—lucky guy, getting resurrected and everything. With that being said, with most characters, when they're gone, they're really gone. While Hodor lovers might still be recovering from the loyal servant's demise, there will always be memes to memorialize his impact. And it looks like people are remembering him in quite the clever fashion. People have been putting up little pictures of Hodor next to the Hold Door buttons on elevators prompting people to be as nice and gallant as Hodor and hold the door for your fellow human beings. This way, Hodor will be with us forever. Goin’ to the Pokey man- “The new augmented reality game Pokemon Go has gotten people off the couch and into the real world. But police in O’Fallon, Missouri say that four men have used the game to find players at a specific location, and robbed them using a handgun. About eight or nine people have been robbed by four men over the past couple of days, a spokesperson from the O’Fallon Police Department told Gizmodo over the phone. The latest robbery occurred Sunday morning at around 2am by the men in a black BMW before they were finally apprehended by police. The suspects used the Pokemon Go game to find their victims by anticipating where people might go through popular PokeStops—virtual sites in the game that c

PokeRon Go - 07/23/16 Welcome Pokemon Go Fans! This show features Macron, Mistress Morgan and Dr Charles. In this show we say goodbye to Dr Charles for a little while as he is going off to have a baby! Congrats Dr C! This show featured a few classic complainer / hold music trick calls with a very perplexed old lady who was unhappy at the behaviour from her airline, and a Comcast customer who didn't like what we said whilst he was on hold. We also called in to good old Talkshoe and because this was supposed to be a Pokemon themed show we called a few businesses to ask about Pokemon and Pokestops. Some great calls in this one, particularly the very successful Twitter complainer calls. Thank you to everyone that managed to listen live and especially Mistress Morgan and Dr Charles, great fun was had by all and we will be back with more very soon!

Oak's missing this week, but Chicken, Baka, and Grif keep things moving just fine without him. Pokemon Go is everywhere and even the IR crew have been sucked into the madness! Chicken may or may not have gotten a new phone specifically to play the addictive new game with. People are siting Pokemon Go as the reason for injuries, property damage, and more. Certain locales are asking to be removed as PokeStops, turns out there's a form you have to fill out and everything. Since there's little in the news, Grif and Baka talk about their Let's Play escapades. Apparently Baka is just a figment of Grif's imagination in Let's Play: Halo Combat Evolved. He's also working on take Grif's crown as Queen (or King, in his case) of Team Kills. Grif finally got to sit down with Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. While Ubisoft improved on some things between Unity and Syndicate, there are still some things that aren't quite right. Chicken has a hard time finding anything he likes about the game so he spends some time pointing out things that are "wrong" with the game in his opinion. All this and more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!
