A drone wingman built by General Atomics has resumed flying roughly one month after crashing in the California desert shortly after takeoff. In a press release Thursday, the company said its YFQ-44A aircraft “returned to flight testing following a round of safety reviews and software enhancements.” The drone is being developed for the Air Force's Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) Program.

Silicon intelligence and carbon intelligence are framed as two distinct branches of consciousness with complementary strengths. Silicon can process information at extremely high frame rates because its context is narrow and stable. Humans carry a much larger and messier context, which makes them slower but more creative and cross-connected. Nicholas uses his equation framing this as frame rate being inversely proportional to conscious bandwidth.5. Civilizational evolution follows a pattern where new levels of consciousness emerge in unstable pockets before eventually becoming dominant. The ancient Greeks briefly stabilized the rational fourth level before collapsing. The hippies briefly touched the fifth level before being suppressed. The Renaissance followed the Black Death. The guests suggest we are now entering another such transition, driven partly by the collapse of institutional trust accelerated by COVID.6. The Faulkner Uncertainty Principle states that evidence will always point toward the next level of consciousness but will never definitively prove it. This is described as a necessary feature of reality rather than a flaw, because if higher truths were fully legible and accessible to all levels equally, it would give destructive forces too much power too quickly.7. Neurodivergence is presented as potentially connected to spiritual sensitivity and cross-level awareness. Nicholas describes himself as a high IQ energy-sensing person who experienced a profound spiritual event in 2019, and connects his autistic traits to an ability to sense vibrational levels in others and move fluidly between different frameworks of understanding, which he loosely equates with the polymath archetype.

Send a textOn October 15th 2016, the 43,000 ton Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuzentsov slipped out of the Kola Bay fjord in the Barents Sea. Escorted by a small flotilla of warships including the powerful Pyotr Velikiy battlecruiser, the carrier sailed through the North Sea and down the English Channel in to the Atlantic before rounding the Iberian Peninsula and entering the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas. A month after leaving Kola Bay, aircraft of the Kuznetsov began operations against Islamic State and Al-Nusra terrorist groups in Syria in support of the Assad government. It was the first time a Russian carrier group had undertaken a combat deployment and was the end of a long, complex and at times troubled road undertaken by Moscow to produce a carrier force which was hoped would one day challenge the dominance of the United States Navy; a dream that offered great promise but as of 2023 sees one solitary carrier rusting and leaking in a Russian shipyard waiting for the government to release funds to finish repairs to make it operational again. This is the story of the Soviet Navy's carrier program, it's origins, it's highs, it's lows and the fruits it bore for Russia and others in the wake of the Soviet Union's collapse. Helicopter-born Israeli commandos landed deep in eastern Lebanon in an overnight raid aimed at locating the body of missing Israeli Air Force navigator Ron Arad, the military said. The raid was accompanied by heavy Israeli airstrikes that killed at least 41 people, according to local officials. AP's Lisa Dwyer reports on heightened tensions between the U.S. and Iran

The new HHS Health Guidelines prioritize “science” over “DEI,” according to a press release. They also prioritize America “culture,” which since WWII has become one of excess; and since the Cold War began, one of rugged individualism with no consideration for how diet and lifestyle could effect the larger society as a whole - culturally, economically, medically, etc. The new health guidelines also promote Big Dairy and Big Meat. Just one week after the new guidelines released, the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act was signed into law, requiring schools to offer “at least two different options of fluid milk at lunch daily.” The White House is also cracking down on foreign owned meat packing cartels and domestic ones for illegal collusion. Considering how the 2017 sugar trade deal and the 2025 restrictions on sugar imports promoted domestic sugar use in sugary drinks, essentially promoting Big Junk, and considering how a May 5, 2025, White House directive and the May 12, 2025, executive order sought to facilitate “direct-to-consumer purchasing programs for pharmaceutical manufacturers that sell their products to American patients,” the HHS focus on Big Meat/Dairy is not merely a gift to Big Agriculture, but correlates with new SenseHub technology from Merck, the DOJ meatpacking investigation and meatpacking new automation. It also correlates to a potential promotion of artificially produced meats that will be needed to fulfill the need set by the HHS. Furthermore, to produce more meat companies will need more labor, which for meatpacking plants and slaughter-houses requires large numbers of traditionally illegal workers. This week Seth Paridon and Jon Parshall dig into some incredible archival footage from the final two carrier battles of 1942. The Battle of Eastern Solomons, fought on August 24, 1942, was the first carrier battle since Midway and saw USS Enterprise and USS Saratoga engage Japanese carrier forces in a short, sharp clash. Enterprise is heavily damaged during the battle, and the guys dissect the footage shot from the Big E frame by frame, while simultaneously busting a couple of myths about the footage. Following the violent Eastern Solomons footage, the guys look at the footage shot aboard CV-6 at Santa Cruz in October, as well as footage of USS Hornet (CV-8) and her final moments. The footage in this one is visceral, violent and close-up, but vitally important and utterly fascinating as we see ships like USS South Dakota, North Carolina, San Diego, San Juan, Pensacola, Northampton, Smith and others in incredible action. The White House insists it's about drug traffickers, but few believe that. The Democrat governor of California, Gavin Newsom, has criticised deadly US strikes on alleged drug-trafficking vessels in the Caribbean. The US has now struck at least nineteen vessels, killing around eighty people. On Tuesday, an American warship (the USS Gerald R Ford) also arrived in the region.
