On Today's cast we start our coverage of the Space Wolves. We open with the creation of the 6th legion by the emperor and its initial design and function in the Galaxy. From there we move into Leman Russ and his arrival on Fenris, and ascension to the leader of the Space Wolf legion. After this we move onto how an aspirant is chosen and then how they become a Space Wolf. Then we focus on the Space Wolves history from pre-heresy through Leman leaving the galaxy. Our main focus is on how the events of the Horus Heresy affected Leman and by proxy his legion. We close on how Brad broke the Space Wolves with a horrible, horrible list that caused GW to nerf the entire army. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

After a brief summer break, DPO is BACK! This week on Domestic Pints ONLY, we discuss a lineup from the death metal-themed NEW LEVEL BREWING. Joining us for this discussion is recurring guest EVAN—who found his way to Tom's house after a long return home from Vancouver Island gone awry. We start off with one of the wildest beers we have every profiled, the ORANGE DEMON creamsicle sour. Next up is the more traditional SEA WITCH passionfruit sour. We wrap things up by chatting the boozy SPACE WOLF galaxy IPA. Along the way we discuss: Barrhaven grocery stores; Uh Oh!; Tom and Evan's wolf story; and rant about IPA haters. This was a nice surprise out of Calgary, and we hope to sample more of their beers in the future! We'll be back following another holiday break with a new Alberta craft lineup! Due to a minor mix-up, please enjoy a slightly out of order episode of the Chief Librarian! Welcome to another episode of The Chief Librarian! This is a lore and narrative gaming-focused podcast around miniature gaming, painting, reading, and all the fun things a hobby should be. I'd like to apologize for the long wait on this one. I had to manually extract a crazed Murderfang from the audio here, and Russ'n this out nearly broke my back. Puns aside, I hope to have these out more regularly going forward instead of leaving you hungry like the wolf. In today's episode, I have a nice long conversation with Dr. Christopher Nahumck, who some of you may remember from my mental health series on the FLG blog. We talk all things Space Wolves, from history, lore, legacy, theme, design, tropes, and all the wolfy goofs. The second segment is with Space Wolf superfan and world hobby track champion of the Space Wolves, Scott Rumple. Scott and I played a game with his wolves, and talk a bit about why he loves them so much. I really appreciate him making the time to come up and show me exactly how sharp his fangs are… If you would like to follow me on social media, check out my Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/brothercaptainmorgan All images, miniatures, or any other trademarks other than those belonging to the video creator are either ®, TM and/or © to each respective company owner. Welp gang it happened again. We watched Dracula 3000, a movie that wasn't just bad, it was super duper racist and sexist also. So we just launched that trash fire right out the space airlock and reconstructed a brand new movie in it's place: Space Wolf: Too Many Moons, the tragic story of a werewolf astronaut who keeps murdering her crew because of all those moons up in space, starring Uzo Aduba. We also fixed the trailers for A Wizard's Tale and Aquaman
Howdy members of the D6G Generation, Here's the first shot at a new approach to our content, "D6G Pip's". Meaning instead of a massive episode we do a single segment. In this one Craig starts us off by describing a MASSIVE game of Warhammer 40,000 we played...over 280 power points. Ever IG model and Space Wolf model we owned was on and 4x8' table vs more pointy eared elves than we cared to count. It...was...awesome!!
It’s all oddly Space Wolves this week with Jon playing Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach and Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf. They’re Warhammer 40,000 games but they don’t like to give that away in the names. Tim meanwhile has been playing the Telltale Borderlands game and Transport Fever The video version is available here
With the release of a host of new terrible Space Wolf releases from Forge World recently, we decided to talk a little about what makes them such a disappointment, and how they speak to Forge World’s recent inconsistency in model quality. We touch on how digital sculpting has both helped and hurt many of their designs and how the incredible popularity of the Horus Heresy has put a strain on a relatively small company. We also talk about the newly released Rogal Dorn model, and how he may be Forge World’s best Primarch yet.
Scott plays Slay the Spire PC, Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf, and more ESO. Brian dabbles in Kingdoms & Castles, Shower w/ Your Dad Simulator, Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, and a Little Nightmares time. Plus the week's stories!

Yes, Jason & Gabe are still talking about Celebration! There was so much to do and see that naturally they couldn't do EVERYTHING and this week's episode has a lot of what they were not able to be at. They run through Dave Filoni's announcement about ending Rebels, the preview for season four, Filoni's animation panel, the droids panel, the heroines of Star Wars panel and how excited they are for the upcoming Forces of Destiny. Plus there's talk of some of the panels they did make it to like the Secrets of the Cantina and the amazing Star Wars Vegetable Carving. ALSO - they go over what was curiously absent from the big contention in Orlando.... So get on your Space Wolf, call up Jira for the weather & celebrate the love with BLAST POINTS!! North V South has reached its first birthday, the very existence of which is an utter miracle. The duo sit, wrapped in their Space Wolf furs, droning on about drones, Barnbrook, IKEA's latest award, Lego Life and Peta's recent bonkers broadside at the futuristic world of Warhammer 40,000. Rob and Jon abandon their monochromatic homelands and go on a quest for a fabled colour utopia. Along the way they talk about colour perception, colour management, colour archives and why choosing colour is so damned hard. Listen on to find out if canned pies can indeed taste nice, and why the term gluten free should never be applied to pies.

We start this episode by talking about the new Space Wolf and Wulfen releases for Warhammer 40,000, and reflect on how they might be used in conversions. We conclude our discussion of Mantic Game’s Walking Dead miniature game from last episode, now that the Kickstarter is underway. Next, we talk at length about Osprey Publishing’s Frostgrave, focusing on its combat system as compared to other games, specifically Malifaux. Finally, we talk about what the late Wayne England’s artwork means to us, and how it shaped Warhammer 40,000. We also describe a model we are working on in his honor for our contribution to the Pilgrym Project.
