The Queen Of Your Castle podcast is an incredible resource for stepmoms seeking personal growth and healing. Hosted by Brittany Lynch, this podcast delves into the challenges and complexities of being a stepmom, providing listeners with valuable tools and insights to navigate their journey with confidence and empowerment. Listening to just a few episodes has already sparked a deep sense of introspection and motivation within me, highlighting the areas of personal growth that I have glossed over in my own journey. The upcoming Uplifted workshop promises to be an exciting opportunity to further delve into these topics and learn from Brittany's wisdom and experience.
One of the best aspects of The Queen Of Your Castle podcast is its focus on personal growth. Unlike many other resources out there, this podcast goes beyond generic statistics or surface-level advice. It delves into the emotional and psychological aspects of being a stepmom, challenging listeners to grow out of old patterns and habits. Brittany's approach is raw, honest, and uncensored, creating a safe space for stepmoms to explore their feelings and experiences. The diverse range of topics covered ensures that there is something for every stepmom situation, making it a versatile resource.
While there aren't many downsides to this podcast, one potential drawback is that it may not appeal to everyone. Some listeners may prefer more traditional or conventional approaches to parenting or may feel overwhelmed by the emphasis on personal growth. Additionally, those who are looking for practical tips or step-by-step guides may find that this podcast focuses more on introspection rather than providing concrete solutions.
In conclusion, The Queen Of Your Castle podcast is like a lifeline for stepmoms seeking support, guidance, and empowerment. Brittany Lynch's talent shines through in her authentic approach, sparking hope while addressing all aspects of stepmothering. This podcast has the power to transform lives by fostering self-acceptance, forgiveness, and resilience in stepmoms' daily lives. It is a must-listen for anyone navigating the challenges and joys of being a stepmom, offering a refreshing perspective that goes beyond generic advice. I am forever grateful for this podcast's existence and the impact it has had on my own journey as a stepmom.
Did you know that over 1300 new stepfamilies form every single day in the United States alone? Or that 40% of all new marriages include at least one partner who has been divorced before? Or that more children live in step-situations than not?Did you also know that, technically, a step-situation begins after the breakup of the first family, and as soon as the single parent begins dating. This means that stepfamilies are formed even before a single parent begins living with, or remarries, a new partner. Now, how many of those stepfamilies do you expect will stand the test of time? How many stepfamilies actually do go on to live Happily Ever After? And maybe more importantly, how do they do it?Join your host Brittany Lynch, RN, BScN, Certified Stepfamily Counsellor, for a brand new season.Reduce your stepfamily-related stress at least 20% in 10 minutes or less at www.stepfamilystressdetox.comFollow us on Instagram @thestepqueenBook a free consultation to learn more about our products and services https://calendly.com/foreveraftercoaching-newclients/consult---Track Title: More Than One Way To Go HomeArtist Name(s): AmherstWriter Name: Andrew GaluckiThis podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Chartable - https://chartable.com/privacy

One of the biggest issues many stepmoms of young stepkids face is navigating the bedtime struggle. Different rules by each parent can almost guarantee a sleep disruption when kids transition back and forth between their homes. Guilt and a sense of missing out on parenting time can create the urge to keep kids up late in order to spend more time with them. Fear of coming across as too strict or harsh can prevent some parents from implementing and enforcing a structured bedtime. The reasons behind poor sleep in kids of stepfamilies are complex and multifaceted. But why is it so important to give our kids the sleep they need? And more importantly, how can you break bad sleep habits that have been created unintentionally, and replace them with nourishing and restorative sleep patterns? Special guest Dana Obleman shares her take this week. Dana began her private practice in Vancouver, Canada in 2003. After struggling with her own child's sleep, she drew on her dual degrees in Psychology and Education to create The Sleep Sense™ Program, a complete sleep resource for parents which has sold over 100,000 copies in more than 30 countries. Since writing The Sleep Sense Program, she has authored an additional four books on specific parenting challenges. Over 100,000 individuals follow her on Facebook and Instagram, her instructional YouTube videos have over 3.5 million views, her parenting blog and website average 90,000 unique visitors per month, and her weekly podcast has over half a million downloads. She has been a featured speaker at major parenting trade shows, a frequent guest on radio and television programs, and her work has been highlighted on Good Morning America, CNN, Today's Parent, WebMD, The Washington Post, and many other prominent media publications. She has personally trained a global network of over 300 Certified Sleep Sense™ Consultants to carry on her work in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Namibia, Finland, and the United Kingdom, as well as the United States and Canada. Today, Dana lives in Sarasota, Florida with her husband and 3 children, where she continues her life's work to educate and empower families with healthy sleep habits Thanks for taking the time to rate & review the show, which helps other stepmoms get the help they're looking for! HOW?! HOW can you take what you've learned about yourself in Parts 1 & 2, and use that to begin making real, lasting changes in your stepfamily? In Part 1, you answered 12 questions to determine whether self-awareness work is a missing component in your blending process. If you determined that YES, the development of self-awareness IS, in fact, directly related to how connected your stepfamily relationships are, AND, to how much peace, happiness and personal fulfillment you currently have... You moved on to Part 2, where you began to peel the onion, and get crystal clear on where, exactly, the suffering in your stepfamily is rooted. Using the Time-Energy-Money Matrix, you began to identify the areas in your stepfamily that you are currently out of alignment, so that you can begin to investigate -- not HOW to close the gap -- but WHY the gap exists in the first place. And in Part 3, you'll get my signature method, the STEPS Process, so that you can get deeper into the root-cause of the WHY, and begin to close those gaps from the inside out as your self-awareness blossoms. And today, we're taking a deep-dive into how each of those play into how much you enjoy your stepmom experience. In addition to the Time-Energy-Money Matrix exercise you'll be going through today, you'll also: Discover what to do if you're nervous or apprehensive about diving into self-awareness work Learn why "waiting for other people to get their sh*t together" is a surefire way to live in misery forever Realize how past memories might be clouding your judgment for what's possible in the future Identify where, EXACTLY, you can place your attention in order to create the peaceful, happy, connected, fulfilling life you deserve. Mark your calendars! The 3-Part Uplifted Stepmom Workshop Series is kicking off on February 24, 2022! We've all heard it. The fairytale folklore about the wicked stepmom who marries the widowed father and ruins the lives of her stepchildren. As a stepmom, this narrative can be particularly troubling... so troubling in fact that an entire subset of stepmoms have taken it upon themselves to rename their title as Bonus Moms. In this week's episode with your host, Stepfamily Counsellor Brittany Lynch, BScN, you'll hear: The surprising way Brittany discovered how young kids are when the Wicked Stepmom narrative gets indoctrinated into our minds Why the Wicked Stepmom narrative is so pervasive What stepmoms are doing that could possibly be contributing to the world's view of us The surprising differences between the "wicked" stepmom and the happy stepmom A way to gauge if you, too, could be headed down a path of being misunderstood. My spouse is incompetent when it comes to parenting, so I need to step in and rescue them all the time otherwise nothing will get done..." My life as a stepmom sucks and sometimes, I feel trapped. If you're a stepmom who's ever found yourself having these thoughts (or saying these words at brunch with your bestie), then it sounds like you're (unfortunately) having a pretty standard experience as a stepmom. But how does it feel in your body when these thoughts consume you? Regardless of how many of those examples are true for you, the fact is that so many stepmoms are making this one critical mistake when it comes to working out their problems. Are you? In this episode with your host, Stepfamily Counsellor Brittany Lynch, BScN, you'll find out: Why so many stepmoms feel discouraged or hopeless about their stepfamily circumstances One critical mistake most stepmoms are making when it comes to problems in their stepfamilies The underlying motive behind all goals & dreams How you can start making simple adjustments in your thoughts, feelings, and habits to bring you closer to the life you want, and further from the life you don't want Thanks for taking the time to rate & review the show, which helps other stepmoms get the help they're looking for! One of the more difficult areas of growth in a stepfamily involves getting to a place where you become able to separate the hurt from the person who hurt you. In other words? When emotions are high, and perceptions of betrayal, anger, sadness, grief, and loss are present, it can be really hard to see the human being underneath the pain you feel. But the human is there. And seeing the human for the human is such a powerful and liberating place to work from. This is one of the best interviews we’ve ever had on the show, for so many reasons that align with the vision and mission of Stepqueen. In this incredible episode with special guest Jessica Frew, we discuss: Her lived experience as a divorced biological mother & remarried stepmom, with one “easy” coparenting dynamic, and one “extremely high conflict” coparenting dynamic. The journey of marrying a man who later came out as gay The experience of living through infidelity “even though” her husband was gay Why we grieve the end of a relationship, even when we know it is the best (and only) decision How Jessica and her second husband have created a powerful relationship with Jessica’s ex-husband, and have become an inspiration for blended families everywhere! The secret to coparenting with someone who is extremely high-conflict And so, so much more! Tune in to hear how, even though she had a low-conflict, highly-connected, "looks great from the outside" place in her stepfamily, she still ended up coming to the conclusion that the only way she'd be able to find peace and happiness was to get a divorce. And the best part? It's no secret that I'm BIG on supporting women on this show. A lot of the issues I invite listeners to get to the root of are planted in social conditioning and what's considered right, wrong, good, and bad, based on socially accepted "norms." But did you know that men and boys are less likely than women and girls to seek help for, be diagnosed with, or receive proper treatment for, mental health conditions? In this incredible episode with Dr. Unati Makiwane, she takes us on a vulnerable journey through her experience as a doctor treating primarily men and boys, and supporting them in their mental wellness. We discuss topics like: Men's mental health & addiction The truth about how often men seek help for mental illnesses How to identify if a man in your life may need mental health support (even if he is not having "typical" mental health symptoms) Parental alienation and how to support the kids through this Red flags of drug use in teens (and how to approach them with compassion, not punishment) Raising teenagers What to do if one of your loved ones may need support in their mental wellness And so, so, so much more. Mommy Wine Culture is E V E R Y W H E R E. This guest interview with Camille Kinzler from https://www.instagram.com/thinkbeyondthedrink (@thinkbeyondthedrink) is such an absolute blessing.
