Two doctors chose to take their own lives, and not only is this a devastating situation, but a reminder of how much change needs to happen in the medical world so that doctors can feel comfortable seeking help for their mental health. For the rest of today's episode, I pick up the conversation recapping the 3rd quarter in my business. I share the success of the IPMD launch and what made this launch so much more successful than the one in July. Belief is the foundation of everything, and without it, it doesn't matter how well you execute; without belief, you won't get results. I also touch on refining my IP and why, as coaches, we should always find ways to improve our process because that is the only way to stay in service. Finally, I discuss the impact emotions have on revenue and how going numb is a zero-dollar situation. To be a successful entrepreneur, you must be willing to feel the good and the bad.I wrap up the episode with a brief overview of my experience at Women Evolve and offer my deep and sincere appreciation to all of you who listen to my podcast. TRIGGER WARNING: Suicide/suicidal ideation. My guest this week, and our first back for Season 14, is Sophie White. A prolific and massively successful author and podcaster, Sophie is also mother to three boys between 10 and 4 and has battled with mental illness since she was in her early 20s. As Sophie says herself in the episode, it's not often someone can pinpoint exactly when they became mentally ill, but she can – a drug-induced psychosis in 2007 led to her being hospitalised and later diagnosed with Bipolar 2. We chat about everything from gender stereotypes and how trucks and cars just seemed to manifest in her home in the same way dolls and nail polish manifested in mine, to how she coped through multiple serious mental illness relapses. We also touched on the issue of responsibility and mental illness, and whether it's an irresponsible thing to do to have children when you know you're likely to be unwell. It's a fascinating episode in which I let Sophie do the talking – I couldn't compete with her eloquence and bravery and honesty on the subject – so I really hope you enjoy it. Hosted on Acast. Trigger Warning: Suicide, Suicidal IdeationThis week I share with you one of the greatest messages I have had the privilege to live through and to be able to share. Mental Health is one of my greatest passions as I have lived through some of the lowest lows and feel uniquely qualified to share a little about my own struggle, some reflections, and the way I live now that includes an immense feeling of gratitude. If you have struggled to understand mental health, the idea of suicide, or how a person can feel "at that point" this is a great episode to broaden your perspective. If you are a person struggling, I hope this gives you hope. If you are any human walking this earth, I hope that this will touch your heart and encourage you to choose love and hold the people you love more closely. If this is hard for you to hear because you know me, I thank you for embracing my vulnerability and allowing me to share my story. My favorite thing about my life is that I get to use it to help others.

In episode 24, Kyo's true form is shocking to Chika and Giana for reasons you wouldn't expect. Kyo's mother's delicate treatment of Kyo, and especially his rosary, tugged at the girls' heartstrings. Tohru's ability to allow the way she cares for Kyo trump the fear she has of his true form makes Giana “a wreck”. In episode 25, Chika credits Yuki for how much work he put into resisting his revulsion to the cat spirit. Giana takes the opportunity to fangirl over Eric Vale one last time. The lack of information about the aftermath of the reveal of Kyo's true form leaves lots of lingering questions. Kagura and Kazuma leaving without saying goodbye after everything that occurred the previous night leaves a bitter taste in this week's sundae. The complete lack of any safeguarding policies and the lack of a channel of open communication with a hurting and abused young lady. The complete lack of discipline in the school towards the bullies and even the lack of teaching around bullying and how it hurts others is a common issue we hear that goes on inside OneSchool Global. Probably, one of the most horrific parts of her story is the details around the brethren stepping in and creating fictious reports and stories so to take complete custody of her child. She shares the abuse she endured from her multiple moves she was forced to do, as she was shipped from home to home. Our message to every mother in the PBCC is very clear- DO NOT allow your child/teen to have priestly visits with men by themselves. We commend Tiffany on her bravery and courage stepping forward and sharing her story. We know that each survivor story paves a path out of this Hitler like authoritarian cult. By surrendering the dream and allowing herself to heal, she found peace after experiencing emotional turmoil. The Joy List Creating space for activities and experiences that make us happy is the first step to cultivating a joyful life. Surviving Bob Jones University: A Christian Cult

TRIGGER WARNING (Suicide, Abuse)Hello, I'm your host Andrew Pledger and this is "Surviving Bob Jones University: A Christian Cult."I grew up in fundamentalist Christianity, specifically the Independent Fundamental Baptist cult. I was homeschooled my entire life to be indoctrinated into this environment. I was subjected to psychological, spiritual, and emotional abuse. I experienced religious trauma from abusive theology on hell, the end times, purity culture, sexuality, and human nature. As a queer person, I experienced so much trauma from their hateful and violent speech towards the LGBTQ+ community and also harm from authoritarian parents. Fundamentalist Christianity was my whole world and I ended up at Bob Jones University. I was at BJU for 3.5 years from 2018-2021. While at Bob Jones I struggled with my mental health from religious trauma, sexual repression, and minority stress. I was driven to the point of nearly committing suicide from my traumas in this system of control. I knew I could not get the help I needed in this environment so I searched outside the group. I was able to connect with people on the outside who would eventually get me out of this cult. Trigger Warning: Suicide and Violence You may not know that suicide kills more first responders each year than die in the line of duty. This is one of many things that need to change. This book, Relentless Courage, was written with this fact in mind. It's co-authored by Doc Shauna Springer and Michael Sugrue, formerly a member of an elite Air Force squad and a veteran police officer It was only during his police experience and after that Michael was pummeled by the incessant nightmares and flashbacks of PTSD, post-traumatic stress disorder.  Relentless Courage tells his story so that other first responders can know they are not alone in their mental and emotional struggle. Doc Springer and Michael also want you to know that this story and its powerful message has nothing to do with choosing “sides” - or the belief that you either side with the police or with the protestors. That does not need to be. Instead, there can be compassion for all – so that solutions – ideas for positive change – can emerge from compassion for all.. In fact, their efforts are trying to help those of us who aren't first responders to feel – to recognize – the trauma that those that serve face every day. And to build into the police culture that their personal trauma and injury needs to be recognized – so that there can be support while they're serving as police. If you have trauma or violence in your past, please listen with caution. Yet I offer this episode for this patriotic weekend – as we all move forward to understand the pain of all trauma - and strive for compassion and understanding, instead of distrust and disdain. And if you are or know a first responder, this might be the episode they most need to hear. BetterHelp is the proud sponsor of this episode, and is readily available to help anyone and everyone who needs it. Important Links: BetterHelp, the #1 online therapy provider, has a special offer for you now!
