But when our brains don't have what they need to cool down that heat created by our emotions, and they've been covered in toxins and disrupted by heavy metals, that's what causes the problem. She went from feeling powerless to feeling strong by making a decision to do so. I can make the same kind of decision.” Which option will serve you best? Caitlin changed her identity story from employee to entrepreneur. That change allowed her to become a millionaire by age 30. Here are just a few of the powerful inspirational nuggets you’ll take away from my interview with Caitlin Pyle: How she decided to wrap herself in strength, might, and power The only two sources of all your actions – fear and love How you become a magnet when you become a leader The two most important choices of your life – to be outer directed or inner directed The true meaning of guilt The true meaning of self forgiveness Why no one has the real power to bully you How to successfully work at home And, yes, there is much, much, more… BOOKS IN THIS PODCAST (https://www.amazon.com/Work-Home-No-Nonsense-Avoiding-Generating/dp/1642791687?keywords=caitlin+pyle&qid=1540588689&sr=8-2-fkmrnull&ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_2) by Cailin Pyle (https://www.amazon.com/Big-Leap-Conquer-Hidden-Level/dp/0061735361?crid=IH1QXQ2BQ32B&keywords=the+big+leap+gay+hendricks&qid=1540586326&sprefix=the+big+leap%2Caps%2C214&sr=8-1&ref=sr_1_1) by Gay Hendricks (https://www.amazon.com/Walden-Henry-David-Thoreau/dp/1420959611?crid=1HE4UMT53O2JF&keywords=walden+thoreau&qid=1540586484&sprefix=walden+%2Caps%2C172&sr=8-1-spons&ref=sr_1_1_sspa&psc=1) by Henry David Thoreau (https://private.strategiccoach.com/store/products/246) by Dan Sullivan (https://www.amazon.com/Youre-Dumb-Broke-Smart-Healthy/dp/111854868X?keywords=randy+gage+why+you%27re+dumb%2C+sick+%26+broke...&qid=1540586922&sr=8-1-fkmrnull&ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_1) by Randy Gage CAITLIN’S FAVORITE QUOTE “Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake.” – Henry David Thoreau CONTACT CAITLIN workathomeschool.com/change (http://workathomeschool.com/change) Caitlin Johanna on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Caitlin87)

From stealing time due to her efficiency at a J-O-B to a multi-million dollar online teaching business six years later, Caitlin Pyle proves hands down that other people’s problems can become a business opportunity. It all starts with honing the right skills. After Caitlin unexpectedly lost her job as a court reporter proofreader, she jumped into expanding the freelance work she dabbled in while working her regular job. Within a year or so she was making about $40,000/year and feeling pretty good. Taking a 6-month leap into starting a blog she created an eBook with a live training component to teach others how to work from home as a proofreader. The feedback from this very small group of beta students helped her “go big” and launch a full-fledged eCourse a few short months later which grossed over $100,000 within the first 90 days. From then on, she was hooked on being an entrepreneur. Listen in as Caitlin shares her top secrets about how she made the quantum leaps forward in her business, money as a limitless resource, the role of generosity in your core business values, and using cannabis as a life-changing tool. If getting ahead in business is a strategy that speaks to you, look up this Christy Whitman episode on abundance and this Matt & Joe episode about giving away all your best stuff. “I’m playing the long game. The Meaning Movement: Helping You Find Your Calling, Create Your Life's Work, and Make Career Change

Like many of us, Caitlin Pyle started a very important journey in her life in an unexpected way.  She lost her job.  As with every great story, it always begin with an inciting incident.  This was Caitlin's.   What happened next is what matters the most: she took what she knew, leaned into it, and scaled up, and up, and up.   Today Caitlin is a tremendously successful online entrepreneur, blogger, podcaster.  She's the founder of Proofread Anywhere, the Work at Home School, which I was lucky to be a part of, Work at home Heros, and so much more.   My conversation with Caitlin was exactly what I needed.  If I were to summarize our conversation in one word it's mindset. Mindset.  Mindset.     Caitlin shares some of the major shifts in mindset that allowed her to go from where she was to where she is today, and invites us all to redefine ourselves, our work, and what we think is possible for us.   This is a show that I will be going back to and listening in again.  It's that important.  You're in for a treat!   In this episode you'll learn: How Caitlin found herself doing online proofreading. How Caitlin overcame many challenges she faced in her journey. How Caitlin turned her job into a proofreading business. What doubts she struggled with and how she dealt with them. A glimpse of what she's achieved in her business today. Her advice to herself. Some of her money mindset. What are the necessary mindset shifts about making money? What should you do to start making money with your skills? What makes her satisfied with her work? What is her morning routine to start the day? How to make a game out of bad habits to change them. How to prevent burnout on your job. How Caitlin grows her business and team. How to find the things that you want to do? Shownotes: TheMeaningMovement.com/Caitlin

Caitlin Pyle, a passionate entrepreneur who has built a seven-figure business in only 3 years, shares her insights on how blogging and connections with bloggers allowed her to rapidly grow her reach and revenue, and how, as an influencer, she decides who to add to her network. Caitlin's journey Caitlin had built a successful proofreading business before she created her blog. She attributes her success, among other factors, to the way she was able to niche down to a small target audience of people who were interested in a proofreading business working at home. Her proofreading course became a huge success, bringing in six figures within 90 days, and skyrocketing her business to eventually reach seven figures. Because she was able to build a seven-figure funnel, she’s now a proud member of the "Two-Comma-Club," created by Russell Brunson from Clickfunnels.  Your influencer marketing story Focusing on what you're gifted at Caitlin's influencer marketing journey started when she applied to be interviewed at a targeted blog for those who were interested in building a work-at-home business. Her intent at the time, was to gain exposure by delivering valuable content to the owner of the blog. She chose collaborating with a blogger because writing is her gift; what she enjoys doing. Finding new sources of blogger connections Having experienced the positive results from her blog interview, she started to use HARO.com, a PR website that that helped her land new interviews and guest-posting opportunities on other relevant blogs. Expanding through affiliates Caitlin found her first affiliate partner by simply Googling "proofreading" and then reaching out to blog owners and other influencers who had the highest rankings. At the time, she saw the potential of collaborating with others who had a larger audience than hers grow her own business. It's important to note that when Caitlin started to build her network, she had a proven product, a clear proposal that made it easy for potential partners to say yes. A change in mindset Caitlin said that, to create those affiliate connections, she had to dramatically change her mindset. Who she used to think of as a competitor, became an ally. She proposed the idea of promoting her course to hew new connection, and because it was a perfect fit for that blogger's audience, she got a yes. That first affiliate led to the next, and the next...The rest is history! Worst influencer marketing moment Caitlin once supported an entrepreneur with her launch, and did everything it took to maximize sales. As a result, she became one of the top launch partners. However, after the launch was over, the entrepreneur in person would ignore her every time Caitlin tried to ask her for support. It became clear that the person wasn't interested in delivering value to Caitlin and creating a long-lasting connection. Lesson learned: Always put people first in your business or you'll jeopardize the relationship. "The more you give, the more you get," Caitlin says. How to Stand Out As an influencer, Cailin receives pitches for guest-posting, JV and affiliate partnerships, and interviews. She mentioned the following to stand out when you submit a pitch and start the relationship in the best possible way. Position your pitch based on the value you have to offer to the influencer Leverage a common connection whenever possible Include information that supports your expertise Show that you're really interested in the influencer Take time to build the relationshiip Cut yourself out of the equation, and just focus on serving other people Only reach out to people who share your values Don't be a cookie cutter marketer who sends out mass emails to influencers Don't try to reach out to too many people at the same time. Otherwise, the quality of your pitch will decrease Don't take yourself too seriously. As Caitlin says, "Nobody gets out of this alive." One thing you're most excited about Caitlin is excited about the launch of her new Work-At-Home program early in 2018.  She's launching it with a virtual Summit. I have the honor to be part of the Summit, and I can tell you that this event is revolutionary in the way it's laid out and also in the way that it leverages product bundles to increase sales! My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who has one of the greatest "About Pages" that I have ever read. It was like a movie in the making, where after working in an office for eighteen terrible months, her whole life came crashing down after finding herself in a room with three of the most terrible managers that you would ever find. As she says "I worked at the office for 18 dreadful months before I was very unprofessionally relieved of my duties on August 8, 2011. Three managers (I'll call them Randi, Candi, and Mandi – they were all old enough to be my mother) sat me down in a room and, instead of just firing me (which I did, in fact, deserve for my poor choices), personally attacked me with verbal venom. “You're a sack of trash,” said Randi, who was president of the company. “You've been stealing from me for months.” “You make me sick." Unbelievable comments that were only made to strip away the self-esteem, and leave her in a pool of self despair. But looking back, these horrible managers were the start of something amazing in her life. A changing of her mindset to rebuild, restart and find her true path and that was found in the world of proofreading, which within just a few months changed her life in a way she could never have hoped to experience. Alongside her partner Ben, together they went from a $4,000-a-month average income to a $100,000 a month business in just over a year. In the last 15 months their online businesses have grossed over a million dollars and have helped over a thousand people live better lives. As she says "We no longer believe earning money has to be a lifelong struggle or endless exchange of our time for money. Instead, we believe following our “genius” — our own unique know-how — plus a lot of passion and hard work (read: action taking!!!) can and does bring a greater reward. Now we're paying it forward by coaching other people in obtaining the necessary skills and resources to turn their own “genius” into a valuable product that enhances not only their own lives, but others' lives, too." So does she look back on Randi, Candi and Mandi and ever think......"I would love to get them in a bar and buy them a drink to thank them for their poor management? And if she can now have a life that can be taken anywhere, is there ever a desire to set down deep roots and call a place a real home? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots, with the one and only Caitlin Pyle

To teach others her unique method of building platforms, carving out authority, and monetizing digital products, Caitlin developed TheWorkAnywhereLife.com blog and the Monetize Your Genius™ course. Playing Small Moment In October 2014, Caitlin realized she was playing small when her husband would tell her about the information he was learning in his entrepreneurial classes. Caitlin didn’t think what she had to offer was going to be able to help people tremendously. It’s often the things that you are great at that you undervalue the most. The Wake Up Call November 2014, Caitlin finally bought the domain name and wrote the eBook. She didn’t want to put too much time and effort into it at first because Caitlin didn’t realize how much of an impact she could have on others. Style of Leadership Caitlin is friendly and doesn’t like to put herself above others. She is all about living life humbly. What Are You Excited About? On Memorial Day, Caitlin launched Legal Transcription on Transcribe Anywhere. She is currently working on other projects, but she is not ready to divulge that information just yet. Please stay tuned. Caitlin wants everyone to know: if you are tired of working at a desk job or cannot fathom working for anyone else, please check out her courses to begin your carefree career and not pay for someone else's Escalade. On this episode of Rhodes to Success, I interview Caitlin Pyle, who is a former freelance proofreader turned entrepreneur. Caitlin is a millennial who used to earn $3-5K a month doing part-time work, but tapped into the power of the internet and built her online business from zero to over $500K in 12 months. During this episode, Jessica and Caitlin discuss making mistakes and entrepreneur traps, the transition from the trenches to entrepreneur, taking stock of success, and dealing with online business and haters.   Main Questions Asked: Tell us about your big failure. What were your next steps after the big failure? What do you think about ‘follow the passion' versus ‘follow the money?' What was the transition from proofreader to entrepreneur like? Who inspired you when you first started your online business? Talk about your businesses and how you are helping people.   Key Lessons Learned: Making Mistakes & Entrepreneur Traps Everyone teaches you how to get a job, but no one teaches you how to quit a job Sometimes you think and work as an entrepreneur before you are one. Weigh up whether you want to get paid for the value you offer or paid by the hour. When people want to become an entrepreneur, some fall into the trap of asking ‘what looks sexy?' Many budding entrepreneurs look at what they think they want to do and their passion rather than where the money is. Follow the money, figure out how to make it work for your life, and enjoy it.   Transitioning from the Trenches When you become a successful entrepreneur, most likely you are not still doing the thing your business does. Ensure the level of service to your clients is like none they have ever received before and remain active within your client community.   Look How Far You've Come Entrepreneurs often only think of what's next and do not look at the progress. Take a moment to reflect on what you have achieved in the past week, month, and year. If you're not embarrassed by the first e-book, video, or podcast, then you waited too long to release it.   Online Business & Haters Prepare yourself for haters. This is magnified when you do business online. Be careful how you treat your staff, clients, and customer relationships online. People that leave reviews are those who love it or had a horrible experience, but not those who just had a good experience. Avoid the ripple effect with clients and manage the issue quickly to avoid them spreading negative opinions.   Proofread Anywhere Online course: Transcript Proofreading Theory and Practice. Multimedia course with downloads and worksheets. The full course takes 2-4 months with more than 50 practice transcripts and 3,000 pages.   Subscribe to the show in iTunes or Stitcher Radio!   The music in today's episode was written by The Danger Os and produced by Nick Palmer.
