Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Larry Brock Jr., a January 6 defendant, joined Fantom Facts Society's "#1 Night Show on X" to expose his harrowing 372 days as a political prisoner. Convicted for his Capitol riot role, Brock detailed his abuses by 5 guards inside prison—127 days in solitary, near dangerous inmates—blaming the Bureau of Prisons' “domestic terrorist” label for his ordeal. Now free, he's on a mission to unveil court corruption, slamming Judge John Bates for upholding his two-year sentence despite legal shifts favoring leniency. With military grit, Brock vows to support his community, backing January 6 defendants via efforts like the Patriot Mail Project and fundraising on GiveSendGo. Part of an ongoing, larger body of research by Dr. Mark D. Howell, and explores the long, complicated, and often controversial relationship between NASCAR (the National Association for Stock Car Automobile Racing) and the American political system. From NASCAR founder “Big Bill” France's campaign support of then-presidential candidate George Wallace, to former NASCAR Grand National driver Tighe Scott's arrest for allegedly attacking police officers during the Capitol Riot on January 6th, 2021, the road to Washington, D.C. has often taken a detour (usually a hard right) through Daytona Beach. Part of this paper looks at NASCAR's connection to various political candidates, both during campaigns and after votes have been counted (and certified). Another section of this presentation examines the use of race cars as campaign promotional “vehicles” over the years. This paper explores the very public and very strategic alliance between political candidates and NASCAR Nation. From Jimmy Carter welcoming Grand National drivers to The White House to Ronald Reagan sharing Kentucky Fried Chicken with Richard Petty, the relationship between stock car racing and politics presents itself as a calculated combination of regional identity and popular culture-driven stereotypes. ===== (Oo---x---oO) ===== 00:00 Introduction and Sponsors 00:21 NASCAR and Politics: An Overview 01:27 Historical Political Connections 02:20 Recent Events and Controversies 04:11 NASCAR's Cultural and Political Influence 05:03 Origins of NASCAR and Political Ideologies 09:09 NASCAR's Evolution and Political Ties 16:04 Modern Political Engagements 21:12 NASCAR's Demographics and Future Challenges 25:51 Electric Vehicles and NASCAR's Future 33:18 Conclusion and Final Thoughts 33:25 Credits and Acknowledgements ==================== The Motoring Podcast Network : Years of racing, wrenching and Motorsports experience brings together a top notch collection of knowledge, stories and information. #everyonehasastory #gtmbreakfix - motoringpodcast.net More Information: https://www.motoringpodcast.net/ Become a VIP at: https://www.patreon.com/ Online Magazine: https://www.gtmotorsports.org/ This episode is part of our HISTORY OF MOTORSPORTS SERIES and is sponsored in part by: The International Motor Racing Research Center (IMRRC), The Society of Automotive Historians (SAH), The Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Argetsinger Family - and was recorded in front of a live studio audience.

Samuel speaks for the first time about his experience in Army Ranger boot camp during the Biden administration's “woke” movement, his removal from service for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine, and the government's pursuit of his family following his younger brother's involvement in J6. Doolin reveals how a routine traffic stop turned into a legal nightmare, leading to his arrest on weapons charges—an ordeal he believes was politically motivated. After being publicly shamed by Sheriff Grady, Samuel is finally setting the record straight. Tune in as he shares his raw, unfiltered truth about military service, government overreach, and the personal cost of standing by his principles.

AP correspondent Ben Thomas reports the federal prosecutor overseeing the cases against the January 6 rioters says pardons can't erase the truth.
In the early hours of January 14, 2024 the Department of Justice released its long-awaited election interference report against President-elect Donald Trump. It was a long and winding road to that moment—and one marked, ultimately, by justice delayed. In November 2022, Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Jack Smith as special counsel to oversee criminal investigations by the Justice Department into former President Donald Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election and his retention of classified documents. The two cases were brought in different jurisdictions—with charges for the classified documents case filed in Florida and the elections case in Washington, D.C. After false starts, the blockbuster Supreme Court ruling on July 1, 2024 that former President Trump is entitled to some immunity from criminal prosecution for actions taken to overturn the results of the 2020 election, and the subsequent re-election of Trump in November, Smith and the DOJ dropped both cases. (Publication of Smith's report regarding the documents case is delayed due to pending charges against co-conspirators.) Sklansky explains the transition from independent counsels to special counsels and highlights examples like the Mueller Report and investigations into Hunter Biden.(00:05:01) Chapter 2: Insights from Jack Smith's ReportThe conversation shifts to Jack Smith's report on Donald Trump. Karlan and Sklansky explore the evidence presented, its connection to the January 6th events, and the debates around releasing such reports. Karlan questions the timing of appointing a special counsel, given much was already public knowledge.(00:08:25) Chapter 3: Prosecution Outcomes and Future ImplicationsKarlan and Sklansky discuss the slow progress of Trump's investigation compared to other January 6th prosecutions. They also cover Trump's promise to pardon convicted January 6th defendants, the fate of unnamed co-conspirators, and the ethical questions surrounding Todd Blanche's involvement at the DOJ. (00:12:16) Chapter 4: Decisions and Legal Strategies in Trump's ProsecutionKarlan and Sklansky discuss the decision not to charge Donald Trump with insurrection, focusing instead on charges like fraud and voter suppression. They analyze why the special counsel avoided certain charges and the challenges of applying existing statutes to unprecedented events.(00:16:30) Chapter 5: The Supreme Court's Role and the Impact on ProsecutionThe conversation explores delays caused by the Supreme Court, including its handling of presidential immunity. Karlan and Sklansky explain how these rulings affected timelines and created legal ambiguities that could influence appeals and the overall process.(00:19:00) Chapter 6: Restoring Trust in Criminal Justice and DemocracyKarlan and Sklansky shift focus to broader implications for democracy, discussing how Trump's prosecutions might deepen distrust in institutions. They consider paths to reform, including bipartisan efforts to reinforce the rule of law and community policing. The episode concludes with reflections on lessons from past legal leaders and the enduring relevance of Robert Jackson's warnings about prosecutorial overreach.
Donald Trump's own supporters are once again furious at him for not sticking to his campaign promises. This time it is over his pick to be the Deputy Secretary of Energy. Trump's pick comes straight from the fossil fuel industry, and his supporters are raising hell with him for picking another wealthy guy that can use his position to line his own pockets, which is becoming a growing trend among Trump's appointees. Donald Trump is preparing to wreck the economy, possibly starting in just one week, and Americans are trying to prepare themselves as best they can in order to prevent as much damage as possible. A new report shows that Americans are now stocking up on goods from overseas that could be subjected to his tariffs. This is both a good and bad sign - It shows that Americans are paying attention and know that Trump is a disaster, but it also gives us proof that the economy is about to blow up. JD Vance really stepped in it this past weekend when he said during an interview on Fox News that the people who became violent during the Capitol Riot would not be pardoned, but the rest likely would be. This prompted immediate and intense backlash among the MAGA crowd as they demanded that ALL the rioters, including the violent ones, get pardons for their crimes. These are the same people who love to talk about "rampant crime" in Democrat-run cities, and here they are demanding that violent cop-beaters get set free. Donald Trump ranted for years about how large the crowd was for his first inauguration, even though it wasn't large at all. And now that he's about to go through a second one, his humiliation is going to be even greater as the crowd is projected to be even smaller than the first time. A new report shows that hotel bookings are WAY down for the area, meaning that even protestors aren't bothering to show up, let alone his own supporters.Text and and let us know your thoughts on today's stories!Subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay up to date on all of Farron's content: https://www.youtube.com/FarronBalancedFollow Farron on social media! This week on Ring of Fire! Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson announced on Fox News this past weekend that he and his fellow Republicans in the House are aiming to push through a single bill that contains ALL of Donald Trump's legislative priorities by Memorial Day, instead of passing multiple separate bills. This seems like an unusual move for someone like Johnson, and that's because it isn't his idea at all – It all came from Trump who is demanding that Republicans do it this way. This is a stupid plan that is destined to fail. President Biden now has less than 2 weeks in office, and he's spent the past few days signing legislation and orders designed to help protect Americans from Donald Trump. One of the biggest achievements was the signing of legislation to increase Social Security payments to more than 3 million recipients, and that was followed by an order that forbids oil drilling along the coasts of the country. Trump ally Steve Bannon celebrated the anniversary of the Capitol Riot on Monday by proudly proclaiming “we almost pulled it off!” Bannon's comments make it clear that there is absolutely no remorse for what happened that day – including the deaths – and that they would gladly do it again if they ever felt the need. All that, and so much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!
Donald Trump held a press conference this week that was so crazy it left the entire world questioning the sanity of the man that is about to become President again. Trump ranted for 70 minutes about everything under the sun, including using military force to take over Greenland and the Panama Canal; windmills; electric heaters that make you "itch"; Hezbollah apparently being part of the Capitol Riot; and how horrible America is. There's no doubt that there's something seriously wrong with this man.As his father escalates his threats to take over Greenland, Donald Trump, Jr. decided to make a visit to the territory this week, but his trip didn't even last a full 24 hours. Junior declared in a video posted on Instagram - that also featured right wing personality Charlie Kirk, for some reason - that the people of Greenland love his father, but that begs the question as to why he was forced to flee after less than a day. After being shot down by the appellate court in New York this week, Donald Trump immediately ran crying to the United State Supreme Court, begging them to halt his criminal sentencing that is scheduled for Friday. Even with the court's conservative majority, they have still ruled against him in this particular case in the past, so it isn't immediately clear if they are going to bail him out.A shocking new report from a DOJ Inspector General says that multiple officials at the Department of Justice during Donald Trump's last year in office attempted to illegally influence the 2020 election. The plan was to release damning information about Democratic governors during the COVID pandemic, but ONLY Democratic governors. The inspector general suggests that not only was this a violation of election laws, but there were also likely multiple Hatch Act violations, as well.Subscribe to our YouTube channel to stay up to date on all of Farron's content: https://www.youtube.com/FarronBalancedFollow Farron on social media!Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FarronBalancedTwitter: https://twitter.com/farronbalancedInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/farronbalancedTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@farronbalanced?lang=enText and and let us know your thoughts on today's stories!

New audio from author and journalist Michael Wolff has revealed that Donald Trump and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were way closer friends - and friends for much longer - than previously known. Trump apparently consulted with Epstein while he was president, and Epstein even produced multiple photographs of Trump partying with topless women, including some with them sitting on his lap.During an interview with a conservative writer that aired last week, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson. told the story of how he was attacked by a literal, physical demon while he was asleep in his bed with his wife and dogs. The internet immediately lit up with mockery for the disgraced TV host over his ridiculous claim. The mockery is great, but the real question is why Carlson even bothered to tell this bizarre tale to begin with.Donald Trump is going to have some help this time around when it comes to pushing his bogus claims of voter fraud and election interference. An analysis by The Washington Post has already found that the top conservative podcasters in the country have already been claiming that voter fraud is going to happen on Tuesday, they just don't have any evidence to back any of these claims up. These dangerous talking points are going to get someone hurt, or worse, just like we saw at the Capitol Riot in 2021. A former prosecutor with the Manhattan DA's office is reminding the country that Donald Trump's time as a free man could depend on what happens in the election tomorrow. If Trump loses, he will almost certainly be sentenced by Judge Juan Merchan at the end of this month, and there's a chance that could include a prison sentence. But even if Merchan doesn't put him behind bars, many other judges and juries could end up doing it - but ONLY if he loses tomorrow. Text and and let us know your thoughts on today's stories!
