This fourth episode for Lent 2025 focuses on Cultivating Peace. Jesus calls us to be peacemakers, not simply people who feel peaceful. To be a peacemaker means to enter into situations where there is conflict--and as Scott shares in this episode, sometimes being a peacemaker means bringing peace to a conflict that we have caused. A guided meditation is also offered during the last 3 minutes of this episode. If you don't have a booklet, sign up to receive the daily emails for Lent from Living Compass at www.livingcompass.org/lent-signup. When we consider that our very beings are here to serve the Lord, it stands to reason that His Word in Scripture can tell us how best to posture our minds, hearts, words, and actions for the best results. Today, we are going to do a meditation to ground ourselves for the situations, events, conversations, and opportunities we have going coming up in our day and the week ahead. As you gain this felt sense of solidness, listen to the following meditation based on the words of Scripture from Psalm 19:14 which says, "May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer," and Ephesians 4:29 which says, "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."
Today's devotion is written by Dr. MaryRuth Hackett.

Proverbs 31:14 speaks to many aspects of the Proverbs 31 woman; this woman is the epitome of excellence. So, like her, how do we cultivate excellence and peace? The Lord has led Whitney to walk through this verse, and she invites listeners to join her as she dives deeper into how we can excellence while cultivating peace. Whitney looks into what it means to be excellent and how we can do excellent work, all while attempting to cultivate peace. Our society has conditioned us to believe that we can be excellent and obtain peace by pulling inward, but Whitney reminds listeners that society has it backward. Excellence is achieved when we achieve peace. But peace can only come from the ultimate creator. While Whitney doesn't have a step-by-step guide to excellence and cultivating peace, she does remind you that you are a vessel in God's perfect plan, and excellence doesn't have to be complicated. Today's episode is rich with encouragement and reminders of God's promises for you. Connect with Whitney: Website Follow Whitney on Instagram @whitneykroneberger Interested in one-on-one coaching?
