In the 1990s, he released his first four studio albums—Toby Keith (1993), Boomtown (1994), Blue Moon (1996) and Dream Walkin' (1997)—and Greatest Hits Volume One under Mercury Records. His next three albums, Pull My Chain, Unleashed, and Shock'n Y'all, produced three more number ones each, and all of the albums were certified 4× Platinum. A second Greatest Hits package followed in 2004, and after that, he released Honkytonk University. When DreamWorks closed in 2005, Keith founded the label Show Dog Nashville, which merged with Universal South Records to become Show Dog-Universal Music in December 2009. MRTD PRESENTS - DRINKS AFTER WORK
Natalie Hemby came to prominence as an award-winning Nashville-based writer for other artists, penning at least two dozen songs with or for Miranda Lambert, including the hits “White Liar,” “Only Prettier,” “Baggage Claim,” and the #1 single “Automatic,” which was nominated for a Grammy and named both ACM and NSAI Song of the Year. Additionally, she co-wrote Little Big Town’s chart topping singles “Pontoon” and “Tornado,” the #1 hits “Downtown” by Lady Antebellum and “You Look Like I Need a Drink” by Justin Moore, Toby Keith’s Top 20 “Drinks After Work,” and “Don’t Rush,” which was a hit for Kelly Clarkson and Vince Gill. Additionally, she scored a Top 10 UK pop hit with “Jealous,” a song co-written with - and recorded by - the English producer, performer, and multi-instrumentalist known as Labrinth. Natalie has co-written songs with a long list of artists who’ve gone on to record their collaborations, including Eli Young Band, Amy Grant, Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow, Brett Eldredge, Chris Isaak, Laura Bell Bundy, Dierks Bentley, Maren Morris, Johnnyswim, and previous Songcraft guests Trent Dabbs, Lori McKenna, and Maia Sharp. Others who’ve dipped into the Natalie Hemby songbook include Lee Ann Womack, Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, Blake Shelton, Jerrod Niemann and Lee Brice. In addition to writing a half dozen #1 hits, Hemby co-produced a documentary about her grandfather’s hometown called Puxico, which was the inspiration for the eponymous album that’s been heralded by The New York Times, NPR, and Rolling Stone as an early favorite of 2017.
Whether you’ve heard her singing with Toby Keith on his single “Drinks After Work”, or on her own single “Words”, one thing is for sure, if you've heard NICOLE SCOTT's voice, you will never forget it. Her fresh songwriting captures everything great about country music, powerful women, and young hearts. She creates a new sound when she adds her incredible vocal power and control. Nicole can be seen acting in Frankie Ballard's music video for his song "Helluva Life." Hailing from a small town, this powerhouse has been travelling stages worldwide since she was ten, from Europe to Nashville, capturing the hearts of listeners everywhere. Through her teen years Nicole won contest after contest, opened for Country stars, and found herself on CMT, CITY TV, and on International radio, before the age of 21. She’s been called “the next Shania Twain” by CMT, and by the way she captures an audience, it isn’t hard to see why. Nicole's debut Nashville album was produced by Alex Jarvis and features Nicole's songwriting on every track. She's one of six participants in the CCMA (Canadian Country Music Association) Discovery Program. The mandate of the program is to create a national program to support country music artists to reach their potential by providing educational, mentorship, networking, and exposure opportunities.
TOby Keith has reached a certain point in life where he can just focus on the music, not worrying about which charts say what. With his latest album "Drinks After Work," he was able to include a variety of songs that have a special meaning to him, like "Call A Marine." We had a chance to check in with Toby to talk about that new music.
Mary had expected the long hours and the occasionally soul-crushing minutiae of handling the international accounts. Carpenter & Wilkins was one of the leading law firms on the island and catered to a top-tier clientele of financial firms, which meant a constant inflow of new legal issues. But even though her work environment was challenging, Mary found her job a lot less social than she had expected. Perhaps it was memories of law school, but she had expected more camaraderie with her fellow lawyers. Perhaps she needed to take the initiative?Learning Cantonese? As it turns out, sometimes you can ask a question without really asking a question, and sometimes you can reduplicate a verb even if there isn't a verb anywhere in sight. If this sounds confusing don't worry about it, it's just conversational Cantonese as spoken in Hong Kong.
