In Part 2 of this week's Next on the Tee, I'm joined by Champions Tour and European Legends Tour standout Clark Dennis. Over the past few years, I've really enjoyed getting to know Clark, including spending time with him at last year's Mitsubishi Electric Classic here in Atlanta. Clark has had an impressive career with 9 professional victories so far, including five recent wins on the Legends Tour including back-to-back titles at the Italian Open in 2017 and 2018 and last June's victory at Costa Navarino. We revisit his memorable T6 finish at the 1994 U.S. Open at Oakmont—a brutally hot week in Pittsburgh that played to his advantage as a native Texan. Clark also shares the incredible story of qualifying for both the 2023 U.S. Open and Senior U.S. Open on back-to-back days, earning medalist honors in each. With the Senior PGA Championship at Congressional on the horizon, we talk about his preparation for that event, and he reflects proudly on his son Will, who's now caddying for rising PGA Tour star Sam Stevens, currently ranked inside the Top 100. It's a fantastic conversation filled with great stories and insight from one of the game's most seasoned pros.
Mark's recent match with Greg got Lou thinking: should Mark try to qualify for the Champions Tour or Legends Tour? In this episode, Lou is in the uncomfortable position of having to say nice things about Mark. He observes Mark's skill (despite unstructured practice) and the way Mark has added distance while avoiding the gym. Mark ponders the possibility, and they both solicit feedback from the audience about whether they think Mark should give this a run. In Part 2 of this week's Next on the Tee, LPGA Hall of Famer Jane Geddes returns for a long-overdue visit, and as always, she brings her trademark positivity, incredible storytelling, and contagious energy to the conversation. Jane shares her thoughts on this year's Augusta National Women's Amateur and the Legends of the LPGA Tour. We revisit her first win on the LPGA Tour—the 1986 U.S. Women's Open—which she captured in a Monday playoff over Sally Little. That week was marred by apocalyptic chaos just short of locusts and the 4 Horseman. You'll hear about that plus how Jane arrived early for the Monday playoff and was sitting on her bag on the 1st tee before the USGA officials set up the tee markers. When asked what she was doing, she said I'm ready to play. Jane also gives us a behind-the-scenes look at how the Legends of the LPGA Tour came to be, reflects on last year's Senior Women's U.S. Open at Fox Chapel in Pittsburgh, and looks ahead to this year's championship in San Diego. It's always so much fun having Jane on the show, and I know you'll enjoy every minute of this segment.
Alex, Trevor, and Adam talk about the all-time Challenge champion: Johnny Bananas.
In the powerful conclusion to our four-part conversation with two-time major champion Jane Geddes, we explore the remarkable evolution of a player who redefined what life after golf can look like. From the fairways to the front office, Jane's post-playing journey is as bold and fascinating as her competitive career.Jane shares how she pivoted from the LPGA Tour to academia, earning a law degree and quickly transitioning into a leadership role within the LPGA's executive team. She offers behind-the-scenes insight into her work with commissioners Carolyn Bivens and Mike Whan, including her integral role in bringing golf back to the Olympics and championing gender equity within the sport. But perhaps most surprising is her bold leap into the world of professional wrestling, taking on a high-profile executive role at WWE. Jane recounts the challenges of stepping into a new culture, leading talent relations, and even appearing on the hit reality series Total Divas. Her candor and humor shine as she reflects on those chaotic, unforgettable years. We then follow Jane back into the golf world, where she played key roles in the LPGA Amateur program and the Legends Tour, always striving to create meaningful opportunities for women in the game. Jane closes the episode with reflections on legacy, purpose, and the life lessons she's learned both inside and outside the ropes. This finale is a testament to resilience, reinvention, and the enduring spirit of a true champion. Jane Geddes' journey is not only unique in the world of professional golf—it's one that continues to inspire.

In another player interview of Chasing Pars Golf Podcast sponsored by Golf Tips Checker Craig was joined by Scottish veteran & current Asian Tour professional David Drysdale who was phoning in from freezing cold Cockburnspath. David has spent an overall 21 seasons on European Tour now DP World Tour & has amassed over 575 starts with 4 2nd's/5 3rd's & 29 Top 10's overall with the most notable 2nd coming at Education City for 2020 Qatar Masters where David would miss a 15ft birdie chance on the 72nd hole to win on his 498th European Tour start. What transpired from there in a playoff with Jorge Campillo was nothing short of mind boggling with David playing approaches brilliantly to within Jorge's ball every time only for Campillo to put on the putting performance of a lifetime to deny Dave his 1st ever Euro Tour title & Campillo winning his 2nd in the process. David has also has 2nd's at Russian Open in 2006, Andalucia in 2009 and at his favourite course at Leopard Creek for Alfred Dunhill Champs in 2018. David is a 2x Challenge Tour winner having won in France in 2004 at Grand Final & El Prat in 2006 while having a Euro Tour card & in 2009 would play at World Cup for Scotland along with Alistair Forsyth at Mission Hills GC in China. David lost his DP World Tour card at the end of 2022 after 20+ years & decided to take the leap at Asian Tour Q School in Thailand where he would gain a Tour card for 2023 Asian Tour season with 2 Top 10s T3rd in Taiwan & T9th in Hong Kong with a T11th at Macao Open which would help in finishing 47th overall therefore having a full card to play whatever Asian Tour events & International Series events going forward for 2024 where he sets off to Thailand tomorrow for a 2 week practice before the first event in Kuala Lumpur. An honest and refreshing take into a long Golfing career from David & I hope one day he wins on Tour before he calls it a day. Jane and I discuss the upcoming Senior US Women's Open for which she helped lobby the USGA. We talk about the possibility of the LPGA Legends Tour adding more majors including a Masters Tournament and a mixed team event with the Champions Tour players. They do have a women's team event set for later this year in Lexington, Kentucky. I also get Jane's thoughts on whether the PIF will turn their attention to the LPGA if their partnership with the PGA Tour goes through.
Mark returns from caddying out on the Legends Tour at the JCB Championship and gives feedback on the event. We take a look at the new PGA Tour Schedule and have a chat about the current Ryder Cup standings. We give the usual BIRDIE BOGEY BUST for the week before looking ahead to the AIG Women's Open and the start of the FedEx Playoffs. As always, we hope you enjoy!!Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-bogey-boys-golf-podcast. Hour 3: Hour 3 begins with a caller suggesting the reason for arm problems with modern pitchers is how they are trained when they are young. Jerry and Sal share wiffleball stories. Should WFAN start a wiffleball league? CLo returns and shares updates on Pete Alonso, Anthony Volpe and rehabbing pitchers. Luke Voit wore a sleeveless jersey the other night. Sal and CLo are big vest guys. Todd Frazier was not a fan of Sal's harsh but fair criticism back in his days with the Mets. The Braves are on fire. The Knicks signed Donte DiVincenzo and traded Obi Toppin. Damian Lillard finally requested a trade but only wants to go to the Heat. How are teams still interested in Kyrie Irving and James Harden? Can the Knicks win with Julius Randle? Sal wants to see Randle fully healthy in the postseason to find out for sure. In the final segment of the hour, Jerry and Sal discuss how impressive it is that Frankie Valli is still performing. Jerry pitches his Legends Tour idea to Sal.
Hour 1: Most people are off for a long holiday weekend but not Jerry and Sal. Jerry is here despite a weird situation with his phone. Sal and Jerry marvel at how the Mets put themselves in such a bad position where a series win over the Giants feels meaningless. Despite how bad June was, Sal thinks the Mets are about to go on a run. Sal will explain his full plan later but believes the Mets overall should be buyers at the deadline. CLo is here and Jerry noticed that he has his pillow, meaning he slept here after a late night TV appearance. Jerry's AC at home is out. Sal and CLo have questions about Jerry's golf course injury. The Mets beat the Giants on Sunday night and actually won a series. Baseball games are much quicker this year. Is that a good thing? Pete Alonso will compete in the HR Derby again. A fan fell onto the field at Citi Field last night. The Yankees lost Sunday's game and the series to the Cardinals. Aaron Boone was ejected again. DJ LeMahieu looks washed. What will Domingo German do in his first start after the perfect game? The Yankees and Mets have only 3 all-star selections combined. Tommy Pham is second in MLB in OPS since May 28 behind Shohei Ohtani. Billy Eppler didn't return Sal's texts and Sal deleted his number. In the final segment of the hour, the guys discuss Aaron Boone getting ejected again and how replay is changing sports. Why are some clear plays not reviewable? Sal would get rid of replay completely. Hour 2: Hour 2 begins with Sal revealing his plan for the Mets. Sell one of Scherzer/Verlander and buy relievers. Jerry is not so sure that would work. CLo returns and begins with the Mets beating the Giants and winning a series. Kevin Burkhardt went from hanging with Sal and Jerry to hanging with A-Rod and Jeter. The Yankees, as usual, didn't score with Jordan Montgomery on the mound. The problem was that they played against Montgomery this time. Jerry still doesn't understand why the Yankees didn't want Montgomery. In the final segment of the hour, Jerry and Sal look at how much pitching has changed over the years. Is money the reason pitchers don't pitch as many innings? Hour 4: Justin Shackil joins the show to discuss calling Domingo German's perfect game, sharing the moment with a close friend, seeing a lot of great pitching performances, living a dream and of course the state of the 2023 Yankees. Sal wishes he could see a no-hitter or perfect game in person. CLo returns but first we discuss showing beloved movies to kids and how Sal thinks all babies look alike. The Mets won a series for the first time in a month. Sal says Francisco Lindor deserves to be an all-star. Sal would be too nervous to throw batting practice in the home run derby. Jordan Montgomery outpitched Gerrit Cole in the Yankees rubber game loss to the Cardinals. Aaron Boone was ejected after arguing an awful strike call. CLo has a Moment of the Day that features Jerry's golf course injury. In the final segment of the show, Sal explains how “lanes” in baseball drive him nuts. Jerry agrees, it's almost impossible to plan out a baseball game.

This week's edition of the podcast was Major as we discuss all things Oak Hill and Woodbrook after a week of high-class action at home and abroad. There was no denying Brooks Koepka a deserved fifth Major title at the US PGA. We look at what Koepka's victory means for him, LIV Golf, the Ryder Cup and the game at large. As ever, we have the Irish angle covered, plus arguably the story of the week as Mike Block melted hearts as he lived out his wildest dreams in Rochester. Meanwhile, there was no such fairytale for the home contingent at Woodbrook where Lorna McCylmont captured the Flogas Women's Amateur at Woodbrook despite a stout Beth Coulter challenge. There was ample joy for Roscommon's Olivia Costello, however, as the teenage talent romped to the Girls prize. We also have heroes and villains, and we round-up all the action from elsewhere too, including a landmark week for Gary Murphy on the Legends Tour. As ever, we hope you enjoy the listen. Don't forget to subscribe and let us know what you think.
