The New York Knicks just did something that should not have been possible. Down 29 points — in an NBA Finals game — they outscored the San Antonio Spurs 46-30 in the second half and 32-16 in the fourth quarter alone to win Game 4, 107-106. The Knicks now lead the series 3-1 and are one win away from the first NBA Championship in franchise history. And OG made the play of a lifetime.Jalen Brunson delivered a 36-point, 7-assist masterpiece, and OG Anunoby went absolutely supernova — 33 points, 7-of-9 from three, 6-of-6 from the line. The Spurs had the game in the bag. Victor Wembanyama had a 24-point, 13-rebound double-double. And New York just… didn't care. The fourth quarter was a 32-16 Knicks demolition that ended with a one-point win and a stunned arena. This is the episode where we tell you exactly what it means. Championship basketball. The New York Knicks are two wins away from the NBA Championship after stealing both games in San Antonio. Game 1 was a statement — the Knicks won 105–95, powered by Jalen Brunson's 30 points, KAT's 18-point, 12-rebound double-double, and an absurd 15-rebound, 8-steal, 4-assist Josh Hart performance where he scored only 3 points and didn't care one bit. Game 2 was a war — the Spurs led by 12, had everyone shook, and the Knicks escaped 105–104 on Mikal Bridges going nuclear (20 pts, 4/6 from three, 6 assists, 76.9 eFG%) while KAT put up 21 and 13. Victor Wembanyama had 29 in Game 2 and is clearly locked in, De'Aaron Fox finally showed up after a brutal Game 1 (7 pts, 23% FG), and the Spurs have gone back to San Antonio with their season in serious question. The Knicks head home to MSG for Games 3 and 4, and the city is going absolutely crazy.Tap into Episode 753 of  the Productive Conversations Podcast—available now on all podcast platforms and YouTubeBest way to contact our host is by emailing him at productiveconversationspodcast@gmail.com or mbrown3212@gmail.com Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/productive-conversations-with-matt-brown/id1535871441 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7qCsxuzYYoeqALrWu4x4Kb YouTube: @Productive_Conversations  Linktree:https://linktr.ee/productiveconversations

(02:50) Being a former player, Sean mentioned the challenge of guarding left-handed players, especially with the Knicks' go-to player, Jalen Brunson, being a lefty. (04:55) Since the Spurs' local broadcast stopped calling games once the regular season, Sean provided his thoughts on the Spurs making it through the first three rounds of the playoffs, where they're now competing for an NBA Championship with such a young roster. (07:43) What do the Spurs need to do to try to get Victor Wembanyama more looks near the basket in Game 2? (10:13) Something Head Coach Mitch Johnson mentioned after game one was that the Spurs need to try to run their offense inside-out, not outside-in. Sean echoed that strategy when asked about how the Spurs can get more paint scoring in Game 2. (12:16) Spurs rookie Dylan Harper came off the bench with 16 points on efficient shooting. Elliott provided his observations on the young rookie so far in the playoffs. (14:33) While the Spurs' defense still played well enough to win the game by holding the Knicks to 105 points, there are still some areas they can clean up, according to Sean. (19:24) Lastly, Sean knows what it's like to go to Madison Square Garden during the NBA Finals and try to win in that arena. He shared his perspective on what the Spurs players have to be ready for in that environment. Sign up for the newsletter at TheSpotUpShot.com Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Dive into the principles of conceptual defense in basketball with Charles Klask, a highly respected NBA coach and champion who served on the Denver Nuggets' staff during their historic 2023 NBA Championship run. With decades of experience across the Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets, and Orlando Magic, Klask shares how conceptual defense serves as the essential counter to modern offense—moving beyond rigid rules to flexible, principle-based systems that allow players to read and react intelligently in the game's “gray areas.”The discussion unpacks the core ideas behind self-organization within clear team parameters, such as shrinking the floor without surrendering strong-side corner threes. Charles shares how coaches can create a collaborative, empowering environment by involving players in defining team values, fostering a “safe to fail” culture, and using targeted “sniper coaching.”Listeners will also learn practical tactical tools like “if-then” decision frameworks and the innovative “Medal System” for prioritizing actions and valuing possessions—Gold (no free throws), Silver (no layups), and more. Whether you're a coach, player, or basketball enthusiast, this episode delivers powerful strategies for building adaptable, high-level defensive systems.

Kliq This: The Kevin Nash Podcast

This episode of Kliq This finds Kevin Nash in a remarkably candid and fiery mood as he transitions from the serene shores of Lake Michigan to the high-stakes corporate drama currently unfolding in the wrestling world. While he shares lighthearted tales of family trips to the tulip festival and the Detroit zoo, the legendary "Big Sexy" quickly pivots to the heavy-hitting news of massive pay cuts and executive bonuses within TKO. His unfiltered perspective provides a rare look at the friction between old-school wrestling mentalities and the new corporate hierarchy. The conversation dives deep into the strategic shifts occurring at the top of the industry, specifically questioning the creative autonomy of Triple H amidst a changing landscape. Nash doesn't hold back his thoughts on the rumored salary reductions for veteran talent and the absence of top stars like Roman Reigns from upcoming schedules. By dissecting the "corporate wrestling" phenomenon, the show explores whether the soul of the business is being sacrificed for the sake of balance sheets and shareholder meetings. Beyond the boardroom battles, the duo pays tribute to the monumental legacy of the late Ted Turner, reflecting on his role as a maverick who revolutionized cable television. They also tackle fan questions ranging from the potential for a wrestling union to the finer points of modern character work. This installment serves as a provocative analysis of where the industry stands today, blending historical reverence with a sharp, contemporary critique of the powers that be. If you've ever felt paralyzed by the options in your life, you're not alone. Today, Forrest is joined by best-selling author David Epstein to discuss how constraints can lead to greater creativity, generativity, and, paradoxically, freedom. They trace how intentional constraints have led to some of the most influential contributions to the world, including Mendeleev's periodic table, Viriginia Woolf's groundbreaking novels, and Kyrie Irving's (potential) hall of fame career. Throughout, they focus on how we can go from seeing constraints as an obstacle to appreciating them as an asset, and then apply this principle to building more meaningful and satisfying lives.  About our guest: David Epstein is a renowned science journalist and the best selling author of The Sports Gene and Range. His new book, Inside the Box: How Constraints Make Us Better, comes out May 5th. Key Topics:  0:00: Why focus on constraints? 5:21: Why constraints are good for us 13:50: Time and attention as (productive) bottlenecks 17:10: Why ‘flashes of genius' are often exaggerated 25:02: What Virginia Woolf teaches us about constraints and creativity 29:35: How unlimited freedom undermines the scientific process 38:29 Constraints make for better sports training 40:23: Applying constraints to our work and relationships 46:02: Satisficers vs maximizers, and how to become a satisficer 48:50: Expanding our notion of constraints 55:14: Death and impermanence; the ultimate constraints 57:45: Will constraints help the Celtics win the NBA Championship? 1:05:49: Recap Support the Podcast: We're on Patreon!
