We haven't talked about Navy in a while, but they're right behind Army. No. 19 Johns Hopkins (6-5, 0-3 B1G) at No. 8 Penn State (7-3, 1-2), 1 p.m., Big Ten Plus What can you say? The Jays need this. Hopkins has controlled this series, winning last year and four of the last five meetings. However, this one is at Penn State, and the Nittany Lions have won four of the last five meetings in University Park. No. 6 Maryland (8-2, 1-2 B1G) at No. 2 Ohio State (11-1, 3-0), 2 p.m., Big Ten Network Big game in Columbus. Maryland has dominated this series, 14-3, and the Terps have won six in a row and eight of the last nine.  No. 7 North Carolina (8-2, 1-0 ACC) at No. 12 Duke (9-3, 0-1), 4 p.m., ACC Network Fans may remember last year when a depleted UNC shocked No. 2-ranked Duke, 15-12. The 2025 Tar Heels aren't going to sneak up on anybody. No. 4 Syracuse (9-2) vs. No. 1 Cornell (9-1), Uniondale, N.Y., 4 p.m., Corrigan Sports Network Cornell has won four of the last five, including two consecutive. The game has gone into OT each of the last two meetings, with Cornell winning 18-17 in 2OT last year, and 16-15 in 2022. We can only hope for another one as good as those. SUNDAY No. 14 Michigan (6-5, 2-1 B1G) at No. 18 Rutgers (6-6, 2-1), noon, Big Ten Network Rutgers is 10-1 all-time against Michigan, dating back to 2012. RU lost in Ann Arbor in 2015 in the first ever meeting of the two teams as Big Ten foes. Since then, Rutgers has won nine straight, including a 6-0 all-time record at home against the Wolverines. In this week's Ovie-themed Give & Go, the guys talk about Ovechkin breaking Gretzky's record and Ovie's status in the pantheon of Washington, D.C. all-time great pros. I'll introduce some interesting storylines (i.e. a rematch from the game four years ago, Andy Reid & Patrick Mahomes about to reach rarefied air, Kyle Shanahan's attempt to win his first Bowl, the Niners title drought, among many others) There's plenty of time to breakdown the game itself, which I'll do on Thursday's podcast, so today will focus on the headlines that will be discussed all week as we prepare for the final game of the NFL season. In coaching news, the Washington Commanders hired former Cowboys defensive coordinator, Dan Quinn to patrol the sidelines in DC. Was this a smart hire? Was it a good hire? CORRECTION: I made a mention of Andy Reid's son being involved in a fatal car accident. It was NOT fatal. The little girl involved was severely injured. My apologies for the erroneous comment. (26:37) There have been some developments in the Association over the past week, with the big one being reigning MVP, Joel Embiid. He suffered a knee injury and had to get surgery to repair a torn meniscus. How his absence will affect not just the Sixers, but the Eastern Conference overall. The Lakers have had two huge road wins in Boston and New York against the Knicks. Are they starting to turn the corner? In three days, the NBA trade deadline will arrive. I'll get into which names are being thrown around as teams look for reinforcements for the stretch run of the season. As well as, Bradley Beal's triumphant return to Washington in his first visit back from his playing days with the Wizards. (39:08) College basketball is starting to take more notice as North Carolina-Duke renewed their long standing rivalry on Saturday night, with the Tar Heels winning in the Dean Dome. With quite a few blue bloods (i.e. North Carolina, Kansas, Duke, Kentucky) ranked in the Top 25, is that good for the casual college b-ball fan, unlike last year? (43:11) The NHL is coming out of their All-Star Break with the 'second half' picking up tonight. I'll take a look at what the remainder of the season looks like for teams that may take some big leaps (i.e. Vancouver, Winnipeg, Boston) and others that are scrambling or jockeying for playoff positioning. What about the Edmonton Oilers trying to make history after a ten day layoff to go for a record 17 game winning streak tomorrow night in Vegas? (51:54) With pitchers and catchers reporting in a week and a half, the Baltimore Orioles made a significant trade in bringing in former Milwaukee Brewers ace, Corbin Burnes. Is it their division to lose again, after winning the AL East last year? Tim Donnelly shares why over the past week, No. 4 UNC basketball is the top ACC basketball team in the State of North Carolina after wins over NC State basketball and Syracuse basketball. Tim also has questions about No. 7 Duke basketball after squeezing out a win against Georgia Tech basketball, and discusses how Wake Forest basketball can get a big win vs NC State basketball. Donnelly also says Duke basketball lacks a killer instinct, and it showed in a recent win vs. Georgia Tech. 

In this episode, Couz is joined by Andrew Johnson from  @TarHeelIllustrated  to preview the upcoming Duke's Mayo Bowl between the North Carolina Tar Heels of the ACC, and the West Virginia Mountaineers out of the Big 12. The guys will talk about key players who will miss the game for each team. They will also talk about players to watch and where each team may have an advantage. They will also cover the mood around each program going into the game and will even touch on conference realignment at the emd of the show. With North Carolina's star quarterback, Drake Maye, and receiver Tez Walker opting out of the bowl game to prepare for the NFL Draft, the Tar Heels will rely on freshmen quarterback Conner Harrell and 1,400 yard rusher, Omarion Hampton, to pick up the slack and lead the UNC team into battle. They will face a West Virginia defense led by consensus All-American cornerback, Beanie Bishop, who leads the nation in pass breakups. For the Mountaineers, their offense will be missing less pieces. Quarterback Garrett Greene will lead WVU, but as usual, Neal Brown's squad will rely heavily on the best rushing attack in the country. Even though their leading rusher, C.J. Donaldson will miss the game with an injury, freshmen phenom Jahiem White is more than capable of carrying the load. White rushed for over 700 yards on the year for the Mountaineers. Greene will also factor into the WVU running attack. The Tar Heel defense will be led by Kaimon Rucker, who has 56 tackles and 8.5 sacks on the season for Mack Brown's Tar Heels. Which one of these 8-4 teams will get their ninth win of the season? At the end of April the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases published results of a study on Remdesivir, a drug used to treat COVID-19. Drug studies like this can take months, if not years, but due to the urgency of the pandemic the study moved a lot faster than usual. Remdesivir was tested at 68 hospitals worldwide including two in North Carolina: Duke and UNC. Dr. Cameron Wolfe was one of the doctors who conducted the study at Duke.
