I first heard of Coach McGriff when he went and did a long stay at the famous Petchyindee Academy in Thailand! helping the team string together MULTIPLE wins and titles while he was there. Although I was already going to the CSA coaches clinic in 2019, when I saw Coach McGriff was a headlining coach there, I WAS STOKED, and he did not disappoint! Today we get to talk about what it's like working at the Mayweather Boxing Club, his Journey to Thailand and what it was like working with a STRONG stable of fighters, making a working and active gym in his yard over cov!d, and what it was like guiding world champions to battle like Teofimo Lopez and Devin Haney! - of course we hit Coach with a few top 3 questions which were FIRE To say I was excited for this is an UNDERSTATMENT! Today is a very sacred day: Nāga Panchami, the Day of the Serpents! Vishnu reposes on a serpent couch named Ananta. Ananta means "un-ending", i.e Infinite. In the Taittīriya Upanishad, Brahman, the Absolute Reality is described as सत्यम् ज्ञानम् अनन्तम् ब्रह्म  "satyam jñānam anantam Brahma": that which is Existence, Consciousness and Infinity. Now you might have heard a different formulation of Brahman: Sat-Cid-Ānanda, Existence-Consciousness-Bliss. Notice how Infinity is synonymous with Bliss? As we learn in the Chandogya Upanishad, यो वै भूमा तत्सुखं नाल्पे सुखमस्ति "yo vai bhūmi tat sukham, nalpe sukham asti!": Joy is vast-nes, joy is Infinity!! There is no joy in limitation!Now, taking all of this from the perspective of Shaiva Tantra: this Infinitely Free Awareness which is Innately Blissful is Śiva! God is Vimarśa-Śakti, Śiva's self-reflexivivity, i.e Awareness Reposing in Itself. This is why Vishnu (i.e, God, I.e Vimarśa) "reposes" in his serpent couch, who is called the Infinite (Consciousness). In a Shaiva sense, he is in a state of svātmaviśrantih: self-respose. This is liberation!Patañjali, the founder of Yoga philosophy is considered by our tradition to be the incarnation of the Ananta, Vishnu's serpent couch and so he is the perfect yogi, reposing in his svabhāva, his essence nature and from that arises his profound teachings on Yoga, Grammar and Medicine. Abhinavaguptapada, is known as the "new" (abhinava) serpent (guptapada) because building upon the foundations of Yoga and Samkhya, he takes the Shaiva tradition to whole new heights with his unique presentation of the Trika doctrine! Lakshmana, Rāma's brother and Rāmanūja, the founder of Viśishtadvaita Vada are also both seen as incarnations of Ananta, this Great Serpent. On a personal note, my kula devi on my Mother's side is Nageshwarī, a form of Mariamman (Kālī) to whom my grandfather was deeply devoted. In 2018 his innovation and life story were featured in the movie Padman starring Akshay Kumar. Think of Uri, Padman, Sanju, Raazi, Raid and so many others. These films want both – the authenticity and heft of fact with the dramatic possibilities of fiction. It's tough to do and many directors topple. In Why Cheat India, Soumik Sen manages to stay standing for some time. Subtlety is not his strength but in his own, heavy-handed way, Soumik creates a reasonably engaging first hour. Ultimately however, he can't resist the lure of full-blown, blaring background music, suspense via split screens and giving his star Emraan Hashmi a speech from the pulpit about how the system forces him to be corrupt.

With Akshay Kumar's movie Padman coming up next week, we hear from the real Padman of India, who shook up the sanitary napkin industry with his work more than a decade ago. At that time, Arunachalam was a young, married man in a village near Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, and he created a low-cost sanitary napkin at home to impress his wife. That began a dramatic journey that subject him to his entire community's ridicule, nearly broke his marriage, helped bring focus to a taboo issue, and finally won him a Padma Shri Award, international recognition, and now even an Akshay Kumar film.

Arunachalam Muruganantham is better known as 'Menstrual Man'. A social entrepreneur from Coimbatore, Arunachalam became the subject of ridicule when he decided to make low-cost sanitary napkins. His innovation is now changing the lives of women in Indian villages, and his story is also being depicted by Akshay Kumar in R. Balki's 'Pad Man'. Padman is a biopic on Arunachalam Muruganantham and will chronicle his journey of finding a way to make cheap, affordable sanitary napkins for women in his village. The film stars Akshay along with Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor. Amitabh Bachchan will have a cameo appearance in the movie, which has largely been shot in Indore and Newyork and is set to release on January 26 next year. TECH Oppo has launched its new 6-inch bezel-less smartphone Oppo A79. The new smartphone features an 18:9 display and looks similar to the Oppo R11 smartphone in relations of the design. There are some differences in terms of their specifications though. AUTO Kawasaki India has launched the Versys X-300 in India at a price tag of Rs 4.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The newly launched model belongs to Kawasaki’s family of adventure touring motorcycles and is the entry-level offering of the same. The X-300 will be assembled at Kawasaki’s plant in Chakan, Pune. It is powered by a 296cc parallel-twin engine which has been tuned for better low-end and mid-range torque delivery.
