Confidence isn't something you either have or you don't — it's something you build, one small choice at a time.In this episode, recorded live on the back patio on a beautiful spring day (with co-host Putter by his side), Tanner breaks down the three pillars of real, lasting confidence — the kind that doesn't wilt when fear shows up.In this episode:• Why small wins — even making your bed — are the foundation of unshakeable self-belief• The 15-year-old moment on stage that taught Tanner fear is a choice• The 3 elements of progress: speed, direction, and magnitude• Why awareness is the key to growth — and how staying one degree off course quietly derails everything• What it really means to “prove yourself” (hint: you have to improve yourself first) Whether you're a teenager stepping into the unknown or an adult who's been playing it safe for too long, this episode is your reminder: courage is always just one second away.SHARE with one personRATE the show with 5 starsSUBSCRIBE so you never miss an episode

Sports of All Sorts: The PK Putter, Master the Short Game
Zum Schluss blickt Tee Time voraus: Die 400.

After a successful summer circuit in New Zealand, Kiwi shot-putter Tom Walsh is gearing up for a year of international competitions. The Diamond League is only a few weeks away and the Commonwealth Games are set for July through to August in Glasgow. But Walsh told Mike Hosking that despite performing well over the summer, his results weren't quite what he wanted them to be, distance-wise. “This is kind of the part where you've really got to trust what you're doing,” Walsh said. “Sometimes you've kind of got to, y'know, take a few hits early season to help you line up later in the season when, when things really count.” “The Commonwealth Games is what we're really working towards, and sometimes you've got to step back, and remind yourself of that.” LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this episode, Jon and Adam are joined by club-fitting experts Woody Lashen and Sonny Burgo from Pete's Golf to unpack what's really going on with the surge in zero-torque style putters, most notably from L.A.B. Golf. They explain who these putters can genuinely help, who they can hurt, and why no putter technology is ever a one-size-fits-all solution. The conversation expands into how elite fitters think about face rotation, weight, loft, grip styles, and even the yips—and why confidence and predictability matter more than chasing trends. A wide-ranging, myth-busting discussion that shows why great putting is less about buying the “right” putter and more about matching the tool to the player. Send us a textA Starlink meltdown, two missing Terriliums, and the cleanest long-neck builds you've seen—this one is part comedy of errors, part masterclass in the art of putters. We sit down with David Trett of Jet Putters to trace his unlikely route from college basketball to Dallas golf, where resort events, caddie loops, and indoor fitting bays turned into a crash course on performance gear and player psychology. Along the way, he learned to restore and customize putters—and now he shares the process live, sanding down the secrecy that usually shrouds the craft. We get hands-on with the details golfers actually feel. David breaks down why long necks can neutralize torque, how shifting the neck axis toward center changes face rotation, and when deeper milling softens sound without muting feedback. He shows how compact heel-to-toe profiles can sharpen alignment, and he experiments with left-hand neck flips to chase true zero torque. It's shop-floor truth instead of brochure buzzwords—useful for anyone debating face-balanced vs toe-hang or wondering whether a different neck could steady their stroke. There's a candid look at the live selling boom too. As the golf category on Whatnot exploded, volume and “games” reshaped pricing overnight. David explains how he reframed shows as marketing and community—teaching in late-night garage streams, fielding custom orders, and accepting the gritty reality of packing, split shipments, and the rare nightmare of unscanned boxes. The nostalgia thread runs strong: Mizuno blades, Zebra putters, burner bubbles, and proof that smart targets matter more than model year. We trade architecture notes—from the fairness of Sawgrass to the optical mind games of Whistling Straits, the beauty and brutality of French Lick, and why Ross parkland designs reward conviction. At the center of it all is meaning. Heirloom restorations for families, a Blue Angels-inspired Phantom for a retiring Navy veteran—projects that tie craft to memory. If you love custom putters, Scotty Cameron Terrilium, long neck mods, zero torque setups, and real talk about gear, you'll feel at home here. Otey Crisman Putters are golf putting clubs with a notable place in golf history and equipment craftsmanship — both as vintage collectible clubs and as modern hand-built putters inspired by that heritage. On this episode of The Wednesday Match Play Podcast, brought to you by Eden Mill St Andrews, Steve gives an overview of Otey Crisman Putters, sharing how these iconic putters have recorded five wins at Augusta. He walks us through how the putter has evolved over time, discusses headcovers and proper putter maintenance, and explains why hickory shafts remain such an important part of the story. We also talk about how technology has advanced, the role confidence plays when standing over the ball, and why these putters have a "soul." This was a historic conversation and an honor to have Steve on the show. Let's tee it off.
