Lui viene rappresentato con la pelle scura. Regge una spada, delle frecce e dei pugnali perchè è un grande guerriero. La sua cavalcatura è un corvo. Shani rappresenta la resistenza e la struttura, sia quella fisica sia quella che costruiamo attraverso le prove della vita. Egli è figlio di Surya, il sole e Chaya, l'ombra compartecipando degli aspetti dei suoi genitori: ci aiuta a viaggiare attraverso le ombre per trovare la luce. Mercurio in India diventa Budha, è di colore verde e cavalca un leone (a volte un'aquila o un animale mezzo leone e mezza aquila). Gli attributi sono spada, scudo e clava. Le mani sono in Abbaya Mudra e Varada Mudra. I suoi vestiti sono dorati. Viene rappresentato come un eunuco. Serve Briashpati, il pianeta Giove ed è il messaggero degli Dei. This weeks episode we get an in depth look into the rapidly growing music scene/culture of EDM/DUB step music. Our guest Tesreflect, not only produces his own songs, but also performs them out live as a DJ. It was a massive pleasure having him on the show, not only for his vibrant song writing ability, but his extensive understanding of where this genre of music has stemmed from historically.  This episode was immensely refreshing to me. Talking to people about music can bring out an excitement from within that you don't usually see on the surface level in typical interactions. Tesreflect to me, genuinely is passionate about this genre of music, and I really feel it translates in this interview. The rich history and culture in this realm of music is one of welcoming hearts and open mindedness towards anyone that wants to just enjoy the euphoria of body thumping bass and upbeat head bobbing positivity. The culture is exploding and I look forward to hopefully seeing more of these kinds of shows in the future! Tereflect also gave us our first live performance since I have taken over as host. DONOVAN CARLESS The original Soul Syndicate vocalist, Donovan Carless brings smooth and silky singing that shows music fans an insight into what real reggae is about. Passioni ideologiche e ragioni di schieramento si sono abbattute sul lavoro degli storici come forze prementi e distorcenti sino al punto di rendere assai ardua la ricostruzione effettiva del passato". Queste parole di Giorgio Rumi spiegano molto bene come mai, a oltre 60 anni dalla fine della Guerra Civile, molti, troppi suoi snodi importanti siano ancora o poco conosciuti o addirittura ignorati, o - ancora peggio - radicalmente travisati attraverso una oculata manipolazione. Da un lato, infatti, non si vuole ancora riconoscere una verità in realtà palese, e cioè che la guerra di Spagna (18 luglio 1936 - 1 aprile 1939) è stata essenzialmente e prima di tutto una persecuzione religiosa, che trae origine dall'ideologia anticattolica del regime repubblicano instaurato nel 1931, e che è cosa ben diversa dalla repressione politica, la quale fu invece praticata, in modo brutale e spietato, da entrambe le parti contendenti (e invero i 239 martiri spagnoli beatificati da Giovanni Paolo II sono tutti vittime dei repubblicani, e hanno subito il martirio in quanto cattolici). E dall'altro lato, si è venuta creando una serie di vere e proprie leggende, che tuttora si trovano nei più diffusi libri di storia, e delle quali è urgente una verifica per ristabilire la pura e semplice verità dei fatti.LA LEGGENDA INVENTATAPrendiamo per esempio Guernica. Secondo la vulgata universalmente diffusa, Guernica è una cittadina basca di 7000 abitanti, bucolica e senza alcun interesse militare, che sarebbe stata rasa al suolo dalla modernissima aviazione nazista il lunedì 26 aprile 1937; i morti sarebbero stati 1454 (3000 secondo altri) e 889 i feriti: così tanti, anche perché il lunedì era giorno di mercato. Per commemorare l'eccidio, Picasso avrebbe dipinto il famosissimo quadro omonimo. Ma le cose stanno davvero così? Va premesso che all'origine della "leggenda" sta una corrispondenza sul Times di un noto giornalista, George Lowther Steer che peraltro non era sul posto quel giorno, e che poi riunì le sue disinformazioni in un libro, The tree of Guernika, pubblicato a Londra nel 1938. E ora vediamo i fatti.GUERNICA: I FATTI1) Guernica raggiungeva a stento i 4000 abitanti, e costituiva un importante obiettivo militare, in quanto rilevante nodo stradale e ferroviario e sede di due fabbriche dì armi e bombe.2) Quel lunedì non ci fu mercato a Guernica, perché il delegato del governo basco, Francisco Lozano, lo aveva sospeso, così come aveva sospeso la partita di pelota, in programma per la sera.3) Il bombardamento non fu opera esclusiva dei bombardieri tedeschi, e neppure di aerei molto moderni (come Steer volle far credere, per fomentare l'odio verso i nazisti e convincere della necessità di un riarmo inglese per difendersi contro Hitler e la sua potenza bellica): ad esso parteciparono infatti tre Savoia Marchetti 79 italiani, oltre a numerosi caccia, sempre italiani (Si tenga presente che esiste la documentazione abbastanza precisa del numero dei voli, del tipo di apparecchi impiegati e del tipo di bombe sganciate).4) Il numero delle vittime è stato enormemente gonfiato, e in realtà non arriva al centinaio: il che non significa che il bombardamento non ci sia stato, come per anni ha cercato di sostenere la propaganda nazionalista, attribuendo l'incendio della città e i morti soltanto all'azione dell'esercito repubblicano in ritirata.5) Sta di fatto, comunque, che la distruzione di Guernica dipende per circa un quarto dal bombardamento: ma, dato che la città fu bruciata per circa il settanta per cento, il resto è stato provocato da incendi ed esplosioni ad opera dei repubblicani prima di abbandonare la città (anche qui, esistono testimonianze dirette e specifiche, di cui la mitologia ufficiale non ha mai voluto tener conto).IL QUADRO DI PICASSO SUL TORERO MORTOQuanto infine al quadro di Picasso, anche qui la verità sembra divergere nettamente dalla leggenda ormai consolidata. Come racconta Messori, in effetti, il famoso pittore, grande appassionato della corrida, aveva celebrato in un'enorme tela - che conservava ancora nel suo studio parigino - la morte di un celebre torero, Joselito. Ma quando il governo repubblicano gli chiese un quadro per l'Esposizione Universale di Parigi, che doveva aver luogo nel 1937, ecco che Picasso pensò bene di utilizzare l'opera già dipinta in memoria di Joselito, limitandosi a qualche modifica e al cambio del titolo, che divenne appunto Guernica: dopo di che passò ad incassare dal governo spagnolo il prezzo pattuito (300.000 pesetas, cioè qualche miliardo di lire oggi, regolarmente fornito da Stalin). E nasce così la leggenda di quest'opera certo notevole, ma sicuramente sopravvalutata - perché in sostanza troppo enfatica e gridata nel suo acceso espressionismo - e sulla quale le interpretazioni peregrine si sprecano: fino a scambiare per il Minotauro (motivo peraltro molto caro a Picasso) il toro che uccise Joselito, e a non avvertire che il cavallo trafitto, al centro del quadro, non simboleggia un bel niente, ma è soltanto una povera bestia sventrata dal toro. La conclusione di questa breve nota, che rischia di essere tacciata di revisionista, è sempre la solita: la storia, quella vera, non può che essere seriamente - revisionista, perché uno dei suoi compiti essenziali è proprio quello di smascherare le mitologie interessate a nascondere la realtà dei fatti per scopi politici abbastanza evidenti, e poi pedissequamente ripetute fino a passare per verità assodate. E la guerra di Spagna è uno dei campi in cui più occorre ancora indagare con tranquilla ma rocciosa e implacabile intransigenza.CRONOLOGIA14 aprile 1931. Lettera collettiva dei vescovi spagnoli ai loro confratelli nel mondo. I vescovi vedono nella rivolta di Franco una speranza per la libertà della Chiesa.28 marzo 1939. Le truppe del generale Franco entrano in Madrid.1 aprile 1939. Termina la guerra civile con la sconfitta delle sinistre. La persecuzione contro la Chiesa presenta un drammatico bilancio: 13 vescovi, 4.184 sacerdoti e seminaristi, 2365 religiosi, 283 suore e decine di migliaia di laici uccisi dai comunisti e dalle sinistre in odio alla fede.

Johannes Thürigen (Max-Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics) gives a talk at the MCMP Colloquium (15 January, 2014) titled "Theory convergence in approaches to quantum gravity?". Abstract: Theories in (empirical) science can be considered epistemically justified not only according to empirical content but also systematization power and uniformity. In the light of these concepts we present an analysis of the basic structure and intertheoretic relations of some approaches to quantum gravity each starting from quite different assumptions. These are Loop quantum gravity, Spin foams, Causal dynamical triangulations, Regge calculus and Group field theory. The aim of this analysis is to critically discuss an argument of physicists working on quantum gravity, stating that there is some kind of convergence of the mentioned approaches which (at least partially) justifies them. Such an argument would be of high relevance since neither the precise relation to the established theories (and thus the phenomena described by those) nor the derivation of original phenomena might be achievable in the foreseeable future, leaving uniformity as the only epistemological criterion in favor for them. We find that intertheoretic relations can be found mainly at the level of the conceptual framework of the theories, rather than regarding the actual dynamical laws. Therefore a weaker notion of theory relation is needed. The recent concept of theory crystallization is a good candidate and we analyze to what extent the approaches to quantum gravity meet its conditions.
