Meet my friends, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton! If you love Verdict, the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show might also be in your audio wheelhouse. Politics, news analysis, and some pop culture and comedy thrown in too. Here’s a sample episode recapping four Thursday takeaways. Give the guys a listen and then follow and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. RIP Hulk Hogan and Russiagate 101 The shocking report of wrestling icon Hulk Hogan’s death at age 71. Clay reflects on Hogan’s cultural impact during the 1980s and 1990s, his recent appearance at the Republican National Convention, and his vocal support for President Donald Trump. The hour opens with a tribute to Hogan’s legacy in sports entertainment and American pop culture. The episode then transitions into a deep-dive breakdown of the Russiagate scandal, prompted by listener feedback requesting clarity on the complex narrative. Clay outlines the origins of the Russia collusion narrative following Trump’s 2016 election victory, emphasizing how the media, intelligence community, and Democratic establishment allegedly collaborated to delegitimize Trump’s presidency. He argues that the narrative was built on misinformation and politically motivated leaks, leading to years of investigations that ultimately found no evidence of collusion. Clay also discusses the Supreme Court’s 2024 ruling on presidential immunity, suggesting it could shield former President Barack Obama from potential legal consequences related to the 2016 surveillance of the Trump campaign. He explores the implications of this precedent for future administrations and how it may influence accountability for figures like James Comey, John Brennan, James Clapper, and Hillary Clinton. Uncle Bill Confronts Evil Clay speaks with bestselling author and media veteran Bill O’Reilly on a range of issues, including the passing of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan at age 71. They reflect on Hogan’s iconic legacy and his pivotal legal victory over Gawker Media. They also explore Hogan’s cultural impact and transitions into a deeper discussion on O’Reilly’s upcoming book, Confronting Evil, which examines historical and modern manifestations of collective evil, including figures like Hitler, Stalin, and Putin. The hour intensifies with analysis of the Idaho murders and the chilling demeanor of the accused, Bryan Kohberger, as well as the broader implications of confronting individual versus systemic evil. O’Reilly and Travis then pivot to the explosive revelations from Tulsi Gabbard regarding the 2016 election and alleged misconduct by intelligence agencies. The discussion centers on former CIA Director John Brennan and the legal ramifications of knowingly using false information to obtain warrants, with O’Reilly suggesting potential prison time. The Epstein case resurfaces as Clay asks O’Reilly what advice he’d give President Trump amid renewed scrutiny. O’Reilly reveals he spoke with Trump earlier that day and advises full deferral to the Justice Department, warning against media manipulation and emphasizing the political weaponization of Epstein-related narratives. The conversation also touches on the Wall Street Journal’s reporting and the risks of releasing unverified names tied to Epstein, which could trigger massive lawsuits. Clay's Business Advice Deep dive into the latest developments in the Russiagate hoax and new revelations from Tulsi Gabbard and the long-term media and political implications. Clay also discusses the controversial decision by an Obama-appointed judge to block the release of grand jury testimony related to Jeffrey Epstein, highlighting ongoing concerns about transparency and justice. Sunny Hostin of The View says Stephen Colbert’s potential firing is a threat to democracy. Clay challenges her legal credibility, sparking a broader conversation about First Amendment rights, media accountability, and the economics of entertainment. He contrasts Colbert’s financial losses with the massive $1.5 billion deal awarded to South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, underscoring the market-driven nature of media success. GA Rep. Brian Jack Wants to Bring Boxing Back An exclusive interview with Congressman Brian Jack of Georgia’s 3rd District. Jack, a former Trump White House official, discusses his newly introduced Muhammad Ali American Boxing Revival Act, aimed at revitalizing professional boxing in the U.S. by modernizing outdated legislation. He emphasizes the need for innovation, athlete protections, and restoring boxing’s cultural relevance, with support from Lonnie Ali and the Association of Boxing Commissions. In a sports-meets-politics crossover, Travis praises NFL coach John Harbaugh for defending his visit to President Trump amid media scrutiny, calling it a “home run” response and a sign of shifting cultural courage in sports. The segment also touches on the resurgence of UFC and WWE, the decline of boxing, and the importance of American athletes reclaiming dominance in combat sports. It was a tough week for celebrity deaths - Ozzy Osbourne, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, and, of course, Hulk Hogan, who shook off his moral coil at the age of 71 on Thursday. We covered the Hulkster back in 2019, and in the handful of years since, he didn't stay out of the limelight. Most recently, he ripped his shirt off at the Republican National Convention as he endorsed another very public sex pest.  Want early, ad-free episodes, regular Dumpster Dives, bonus divorces, limited series, Zoom hangouts, and more? The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In 07/26/25. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. This weekly broadcast examines current events from across the globe to learn what's happening in all areas of people activity. We cultivate Counter-Racist Media Literacy by scrutinizing journalists' word choices and using logic to deconstruct what is reported as "news." We'll use these sessions to hone our use of terms as tools to reveal truth, neutralize Racists/White people. #ANTIBLACKNESS For millions of Victims of Racism/non-white people who spent any portion of the 80's, 90's, or 2000's parked in front of a television screen, chances are high that you watched a few minutes of the Suspected Race Soldier known as Hulk Hogan. The entertainment behemoth spent a solid half century in front of television cameras, sometimes flagrantly engaged in or suspected of practicing White Supremacy/Racism. He even linked up with long time crony Pres. Donald J. Trump at the 2024 Republican National Convention to help him burst back into the White House for term two. And, the same television watchers will surely remember the handsome and talented works of the late Malcolm-Jamal Warner. Beloved for his role as "Theo" on The Cosby Show, Warner reportedly died this week in a swim accident while on family vacation in Costa Rica. Warner's tragic death reminded many C.O.W.S. listeners of the years of deliberate Racism that's left generations of black people unable to swim. We also share a word on President Trump trafficking AI-generated fake videos of former President Obama being arrested and Ms. Sheena Scarbrough's visit to the Wisconsin state capitol to advocate for her daughter Sade Robinson and a state task force for missing and murdered black females. #SoberWouldBeBest #INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/TheCOWS Cash App: http://cash.app/$TheCOWS

The Republican National Convention began on a high note last year, with Donald Trump and the MAGA Movement beginning to sense that victory, once seemingly impossible, was now almost a certainty. The political landslide that happened in November bears witness to that. Indeed, election fever ran so high that many failed to notice the curious graphics chosen by the GOP to kickoff their convention. An Egyptian pyramid, the all-seeing Eye of Horus, and the Latin inscription ‘Novus Ordo Seclorum', or New World Order. That's what you voted for, and that's what you have right now whether you believe it or not, whether you can see it or not. It's here, and that's the memo.“Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.” Habakkuk 1:5 (KJB)On this episode of the Prophecy News Podcast, the Republicans are riding high today as we celebrate our 4th of July, recognizing the 249th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. President Trump has chosen this day to sign the passage of his One Big Beautiful Bill, taking a well-earned victory lap. But I am here to remind you that today is also Day 1,936 of 15 Days To Flatten The Curve, and not only have end times events not stopped, not slowed down, they are rapidly accelerating. As you read this, at least a dozen other states now have plans to open up their own ‘Alligator Alcatraz' to detain immigrants and illegals. These camps will be funded by our friends at FEMA. In addition to that, Donald Trump has tasked Peter Thiel over at Palantir with building a database to go with the FEMA Camps, and to build a database that'll include every single America citizen as well. The America that Obama threatened us with is the America that Trump is now building, can anything stop what's coming next? Today we show you from the Bible what's actually happening in the world around us.

Judging by how often US President Donald Trump has repeated the slogan “Drill, baby, drill”, you might think he coined it. But the phrase actually dates back to 2008. It was at the Republican National Convention that former Maryland Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele first used it, arguing the United States needed to become energy independent. The slogan, the result of what Michael describes as a late-night epiphany, quickly entered the mainstream of American politics - adopted by a range of politicians in the years that followed. He shares his memories of that moment with Marco Silva. This programme contains archive from: C-SPAN, PBS Newshour, Fox News, and CNN.Eye-witness accounts brought to life by archive. Witness History is for those fascinated by the past. We take you to the events that have shaped our world through the eyes of the people who were there. Now in a new chapter of her life, Mary reflects on what it means to grieve not just people, but old lives, family, identity, and the loss of a place in the world. Together, she and Matthew explore how we rebuild, find chosen family, use creativity to heal, and speak up after a lifetime of being told to stay quiet. fWotD Episode 2952: 1880 Republican National Convention Welcome to Featured Wiki of the Day, your daily dose of knowledge from Wikipedia's finest articles. The featured article for Wednesday, 4 June 2025, is 1880 Republican National Convention. The 1880 Republican National Convention convened from June 2 to June 8, 1880, at the Interstate Exposition Building in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Delegates nominated James A. Garfield of Ohio and Chester A. Arthur of New York as the official Republican Party candidates for president and vice president in the 1880 presidential election.Of the 14 men in contention for the Republican nomination, the three strongest leading up to the convention were Ulysses S. Grant, James G. Blaine, and John Sherman. Grant had served two terms as president from 1869 to 1877, and was seeking an unprecedented third term in office. He was backed by the Stalwart faction of the Republican Party, which supported political machines and patronage. Blaine was a senator and former representative from Maine who was backed by the Half-Breed faction of the Republican Party. Sherman, the brother of Civil War General William Tecumseh Sherman, was serving as Secretary of the Treasury under President Rutherford B. Hayes. A former senator from Ohio, he was backed by delegates who did not support the Stalwarts or Half-Breeds.With 379 votes required to obtain the nomination, on the first ballot Grant received 304 votes, Blaine 285, and Sherman 93. Balloting continued for several days without producing a nominee. After the thirty-fifth ballot, Blaine and Sherman switched their support to a new "dark horse", James Garfield. On the next ballot, Garfield won the nomination with 399 votes, 93 more than Grant. Garfield's Ohio delegation chose Chester A. Arthur, a Stalwart, as Garfield's running mate. Arthur won the vice presidential nomination with 468 votes, and the longest-ever Republican National Convention adjourned. The Garfield–Arthur Republican ticket narrowly defeated Democrats Winfield Scott Hancock and William Hayden English in the 1880 presidential election. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 00:40 UTC on Wednesday, 4 June 2025.For the full current version of the article, see 1880 Republican National Convention on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm neural Olivia.

For decades, conservatives treated unions like an economic flu—tolerable in small doses, but best avoided altogether. But starting with Trump's election in 2016, that narrative began to unravel, with prominent Republicans increasingly taking pro-union positions.Perhaps the most striking example was Teamsters President Sean O'Brien speaking at the 2024 Republican National Convention. Despite both parties courting working class voters, union membership has cratered to just 10%, down from over 20% in the early '80s.This puts the Trump administration in an interesting position. The old conservative playbook misses that many workers fueling this movement are now Republican voters. The question isn't just whether conservatives should oppose unions, but whether they can afford to.Joining today is Liya Palagashvili, Senior Research Fellow at the Mercatus Center, whose new paper "Do More Powerful Unions Generate Better Pro-Worker Outcomes?" examines these questions and argues for a moderate stance on unions.

Like a super-shitty reboot of a failed TV show that nobody asked for, Donaldo Octavius Frump is back for season two. And like all shitty reboots, this one looks like it's just going to be more of the same: a rancid clown car of tired, racist, bullshit. Only this time he's brought along a friend, A similarly focused little troll who many think is pulling the strings. I'm referring to, of course, the world's richest and dumbest human being, Elon Musk. And the combined power of these pathetic clowns has already had disastrous effects. One of Ronald's primary campaign promises was the institution of a mass deportation program inspired by the infamous “Operation Wetback” of the 1950s. You know, that bygone era when America was “great.” This comes as no surprise really, as Trompito has publicly praised these Eisenhower-era immigration raids since he first ran for president way back in 2016. And leading up to the recent election, he only escalated his verbal attacks on immigrants, proclaiming to his sycophants and cultists that immigrants are “poisoning the blood of our country.”In fact, at the Republican National Convention this past July, he declared that "The Republican platform promises to launch the largest deportation operation in the history of our country," as his crowd of dipshit supporters held up signs bearing the phrase "mass deportation now!"He even directly referenced Operation Wetback way back in 2015 (he didn't identify it by its name at the time, but I'm sure we can look forward to the normalization of the word “Wetback” in the coming months.) Ronald stated, "You look back in the 1950s, you look back at the Eisenhower administration, take a look at what they did, and it worked.” But did it work? Historians say the program tore families apart, violated civil rights — and at times, turned deadly. And yeah, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that former President Barack Obama earned the title of “deporter-in-chief” for overseeing the deportation of 3 million plus individuals, 2/3 of which had no criminal record. But he ain't gonna be President again, and we need to prepare ourselves for the shitshow on the immediate horizon. So with that, dear listeners, we here at the Tales From Aztlantis Podcast thought it would be prudent to take a look at Operation Wetback and its precursor the Bracero Program. The speech was broadcast live to millions of people via the major US TV outlets. She argued that she did not want her sons, aged four and two, to face stigma from the "whisper of Aids" once she had died. It is ranked as one of the most important speeches in the US in the 20th Century. President-elect Donald Trump came within millimeters of losing his life to an assassin's bullet on July 13th in Butler, Pennsylvania, just two days before the Republican National Convention was set to kick off in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At the time, President-elect Trump had not announced a running mate, leading to a moment that could have thrown the party and country into utter chaos. The week culminated in the President-elect selecting Republican Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as his running mate and delivering one of the most memorable speeches of his political career to accept the nomination. Today on the From Washington podcast, we look back on the week that shaped a nation. Just over a month after what most would describe as a disastrous debate performance, President Biden bowed out of his re-election bid and subsequently endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to replace him. A sudden swell of enthusiasm surrounded Vice President Harris' election bid that summer, culminating in 4 days in Chicago where the Democrats united around her and her running mate, Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. While Democrats looked to claim the mantle of 'joy,' the country decided differently a few months later. Today, we look back on a memorable week. Learn more about your ad choices. Well, now that Trump has been reelected - seemingly because regular folks were hoping he'd fix the economy for them - we thought we'd take this moment to highlight the difference between right wing and left wing economic populism. On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre flatly denied Biden ever called Trump supporters garbage. Meanwhile, members of the media have attempted to cover for Biden—with NBC's Kelly O'Donnell even referring to the gaffe as a symptom of the president's lifelong battle with stuttering. 3:40pm- Reacting to President Joe Biden's claim that Donald Trump supporters are “garbage,” Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro said he would never insult any American for supporting a presidential candidate. 4:05pm- Big Legal Win in Bucks County. Marc Levy of the Associated Press writes: “A Pennsylvania judge on Wednesday sided with Donald Trump's campaign and agreed to extend an in-person voting option in Bucks County, where long lines on the final day led to complaints voters were being disenfranchised by an unprepared election office. Judge Jeffrey Trauger said in a one-page order that Bucks County voters who want to apply for an early mail ballot now have until Friday at 5 p.m. The Trump campaign's lawsuit, which was filed Wednesday morning, comes amid a flurry of litigation and complaints over voting in a battleground state that is expected to play a central role in helping select the next president in 2024's election.” You can read more here: https://6abc.com/trump-campaign-sues-pennsylvanias-bucks-county-board-elections-claims-turned-away-voters/15488664/ 4:10pm- Rich gets distracted—he starts by complaining about the YouTube graphic making him look fat, but the conversation quickly turns to making homemade mozzarella cheese AND Matt and Justin both having fake girlfriends. 4:20pm- Are Polls Undercounting Kamala Harris? CNN Senior Political Analyst Harry Enten explained that after undercounting Donald Trump's support in the 2016 and 2020 election, pollsters may be overcorrecting in 2024. Enten notes that no party has been undercounted three presidential elections in a row over the last 50+ years—so, could Harris be doing much better than the data suggests? 4:45pm- Listener Mike calls into the show and explains that he voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016—but he's supporting Donald Trump in 2024. 5:00pm- Tulsi Gabbard—2020 Presidential Candidate & former U.S. Congresswoman—joins The Rich Zeoli Show en route to Bedford, Pennsylvania for a veterans town hall event with vice presidential candidate J.D. Every four years, the presidential election brings with it a perennial question about an essential voting bloc: Who will Black voters turn out for? Mother Jones video correspondent Garrison Hayes has spent months on the campaign trail talking to Black voters about how they see the goals and limits of their own political power. He paid special attention to Black Republicans and a new crop of Black supporters of former President Donald Trump. This week on Reveal, we hear from voters at the Republican National Convention, a graduate from a historically Black university whose star is rising on the right after appearing in a viral video hugging Trump at a Chick-fil-A, and a Republican organizing other Black voters to turn out for Vice President Kamala Harris.
