REPLAY! Most people think "grass-fed" tells the full story. According to Cloe Parker, it often does not, and that changes everything about how you shop for meat.On this episode of Wellness Junkies, host Amy Sherman sits down with Cloe, who runs Parker Pastures, for one of the most practical wellness conversations the show has had. Cloe returned home after her mother was diagnosed with cancer and officially took over Parker Pastures right before she turned 20. Her mission since then has been simple. Help families understand what they are eating and why it matters. The wellness tips she shares here are not about supplements or skincare routines. They are about the food most of us buy every week without thinking twice. Cloe breaks down why the "grass-fed" label lost its regulatory meaning in 2016, what grain finishing does to the omega-3 to omega-6 ratio in beef, and what fat color and meat color actually tell you about quality. She also gets into chicken processing, including the bleach bath most commercial chicken goes through before it hits the shelf. These are not wellness hacks you will find in a listicle. They are honest wellness conversations about the food system itself, the kind of relatable wellness conversations that make you rethink your next grocery run. Cloe also shares her wellness routines, from clean food and protein to faith, time in nature, and staying grounded in something real.Whether you are searching for the best wellness products or want better wellness tips for everyday life, this episode gives you a clear framework for both.Episode Breakdown:00:00 How Cloe Parker Took Over Her Family's Meat Company03:32 The Truth About Grass-Fed Labels and What They Actually Mean05:42 How to Tell If Your Meat Is Really Grass-Fed, Grass-Finished13:04 The Truth About Grocery Store Chicken and Bleach Baths13:43 How to Order From Parker Pastures and Buy Meat in Bulk18:19 The State of the Food Industry and Why Small Farms Need Your Support23:01 Wellness Tips From a Rancher: Nature, Clean Food, and Daily GroundingConnect with Cloe Parker:Follow Cloe on InstagramFollow Parker Pastures on FacebookVisit the Parker Pastures websiteUse code "WELLNESS" at checkout for 10% off at ParkerPastures.com, other links on prior episode page on website For More on this Episode: Read the full show notes here

REPLAY! Consider this your sign to finally listen to the episode everyone keeps talking about. If you have been searching for beauty tips that actually work after 40, this is the episode. Kate Talbert, MUA and beauty educator, joins Wellness Junkies host Amy Sherman for the kind of conversation you want to have with a friend who just happens to know everything about makeup and skincare.Kate did not take the obvious path to beauty education. She was a kindergarten teacher, then a stay-at-home mom who started hosting small makeup classes around her kitchen table for women who had spent years putting themselves last. Then COVID hit, a friend suggested a Zoom makeup tutorial, and it went viral. Four years later she has built a following around one idea that sounds simple but changes everything. You are probably using too much and doing too much, and your skin would look better with less. She brings that same honesty to her beauty product recommendations. The brands worth knowing about, the classics worth keeping, and the places where the drugstore version is genuinely just as good. No hype, no sponsorship energy, just what she actually uses and why.Her skincare tips follow the same logic. Skin prep matters more than most women realize, facial oil is underrated, and applying makeup before your skincare has fully absorbed is quietly ruining your base. Her skincare product recommendations are practical and cover every budget, which makes them actually useful.Beauty routines get a full rethink here too. These beauty tips cover everything from eye shadow placement to the five-minute face, and the whole conversation makes getting ready feel like something you might actually enjoy again. For anyone hunting for the best beauty podcasts for women that respect your time and your intelligence, Wellness Junkies earns its spot. Skincare routines have never been more elaborate, yet the most important step might not come in a bottle. Some nutrition experts call it “eat your skincare,” the idea that your beauty routine is not just what you put on your body, but what you put in it. The body is constantly renewing itself, including skin and hair, and that process relies on nutrients like fiber, antioxidants and essential minerals.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-like-it-s-live--4113802/support.

REPLAY! This one was too good to sit in the archives.Interior design has never felt this personal, this practical, or this easy to actually use in your own home.Amy Sherman of Wellness Junkies sits down with her longtime friend and interior designer Zoe Feldman for a conversation that covers a lot of ground, from summer decorating on a budget to the beauty routines of a woman running a 35-person design firm. If you caught this one the first time around, you already know why it is back. If you missed it, you are in for a treat.Zoe's approach to interior design is refreshingly honest. Your home is meant to be lived in, not preserved. Marble etches. Wine spills. That is the point. She talks through the 80/20 rule she uses across every project, 80% quiet canvas, 20% bold statement, and how that same thinking applies to budgets, materials, and the way color works in a space. Natural stone, color-forward kitchens, and organic materials are having a moment, and Zoe breaks down why it all connects to a bigger cultural shift toward authenticity over perfection. She also pulls back the curtain on Demi, her newer service tier built for clients who want serious design talent without the full-service price tag. It is one of the more relatable wellness conversations you will hear from a creative entrepreneur, because it started with Zoe realizing she could not afford herself. The wrap session brings relatable beauty tips. Highlighter every single day. Foundation serum over heavy coverage. Moisturizer as a non-negotiable. These are the low-effort beauty hacks that actually hold up when you are a busy working mom running out the door with a bun and five minutes to spare. As far as beauty routines go, hers is proof that simple and intentional beats are complicated every time. This is one of the best wellness podcasts for women doing the real work of building something while staying grounded. Why Hyaluronic Acid is the key to radiant healthy skin

Healthy glowing skin is often the result of one simple principle that dermatology research keeps confirming. Hydration matters. Hyaluronic acid has become one of the most respected skincare ingredients because of its unique ability to bind water and support moisture retention in the skin. When skin is properly hydrated it can appear smoother, calmer and more luminous, while dehydration often leads to dullness, tightness and visible fine lines.During a feature on CapeTalk and 702, fitness enthusiast and wellness correspondent Liezel van der Westhuizen shares insights into why hyaluronic acid has become such a powerful tool in modern skincare. As a fitness presenter and mental fitness coach who focuses on holistic wellbeing, Liezel explores how skin hydration connects with overall wellness and daily routines. The conversation highlights the science behind hyaluronic acid, who should consider using it, how to apply it correctly and why ingredients that support hydration and skin balance remain one of the most effective foundations for radiant, healthy looking skin.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Hi friends, happy Wednesday! Did you guys ever see those ads for the Rejuvenique face mask? It was this electric face mask that looked like it was straight out of Friday the 13th.  The guy on the infomercials was like “imagine what doing 8 situps a second could do for your abs! Well, Rejuvenique is doing exactly that… but with your face!”  Well, apparently, years later, the FDA issued a warning about this miracle device. Turns out, the Rejuvenique face mask was actually causing their skin to sag and age *more.*  I could be wrong, but it makes me feel like it will only be another ten years before someone realizes that LED lights are *ALSO* doing more harm than good.  And this sent me down a rabbit hole of beauty devices that are secretly, silently, killing us. Molson Coors is the pettiest beverage company on earth…and it's hilarious. Several years ago, class action lawsuits alleged that Molson Coors “pixie dusted nutrients” into Vizzy Hard Seltzer and utilized various marketing strategies (with the intent) of profiting consumers' increasing desire to consume healthier food and drink. But who says an alcoholic beverage, that includes a potent antioxidant like Vitamin C…can't be a “wellness” product anyways? But more importantly, what did Molson Coors recently do that was so petty? Molson Coors decided to make its most popular product the centerpiece of a new wellness invention called the "Coors Light Chill Face Roller." And what Molson Coors determined was…that as long as you didn't also “drink the product” within your skincare routine utilizing the "Coors Light Chill Face Roller,” the beverage company could make multiple health claims about the product.

Get Organized for Good with Corinne Morahan: Maximize Your Productivity, Cultivate Purposeful Habits and Have More Fun!

“I like looking good; it makes me feel good. I don't apologize for it, it's fun,” says host Corinne Morahan who breaks down her beauty routine on this episode of Get Organized for Good. From the hair care tool she insists is worth every penny to the skin procedure she adamantly refuses to use, Corinne shares what she does to look and feel glamorous, even when she's lounging on the couch in sweats. Like all aspects of getting organized, putting beauty systems in place makes for a quick and easy daily routine. It's an investment of time and money, but it's also a ton of fun!   Today, Corinne will reveal how she protects and maintains her weekly blowout, her stance on facial lasers versus serums, and her approach to makeup depending on whether or not she'll be appearing on camera. She'll discuss teeth whitening, lymphatic drainage, facials and Botox. She'll share what she thinks makes the biggest difference to your appearance, even if you do nothing else.    If you're ready to look better and feel better, join the Get Organized for Good podcast to learn how you can elevate your beauty routine today.    Quotes “I will say this: the happier and less stressed you are, the better you look. Period.” (1:52 | Corinne Morahan) “When I talk about getting organized and eliminating pain points in our lives, this is a piece of it. It is certainly not the reason I do it. It's not for vanity—I'm not actually that vain—but, not only is it a nice byproduct, I think it is really hard to look and feel your best when you feel like the rest of your life is a dumpster fire.” (2:03 | Corinne Morahan) “I would rather invest in something significant to make my life easier on a daily basis—and what I mean by that is lasers. I have done a lot of face lasers because I feel like ultimately, they are a bigger bang for your buck in less time than trying to rely on the skin serums and creams—which I still do use, but, nothing's a miracle.” (13:20 | Corinne Morahan) “I would rather trade these bigger chunks of time when I'm going to these appointments and having a very quick routine daily. For me, it just works better that way.” (20:07 | Corinne Morahan) “For me, it is an investment in looking good. I do spend time and energy and money on it, but I've made it a priority so that in my day-to-day, I can feel put together but with a lot of ease.” (24:34 | Corinne Morahan)   Links Click here to listen to Episode 13 - Love your Body: What YOU Need to Feel your Best Every Day: https://www.gridandglam.com/blog/episode13 Click here to listen to Episode 27 - Love your Body, Part 2: https://www.gridandglam.com/blog/episode27   Connect With Corinne: https://www.gridandglam.com/ https://www.corinnemorahan.com/ https://www.instagram.com/gridandglam/ https://www.instagram.com/corinnemorahan/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/corinnemorahan/ https://www.facebook.com/gridandglam https://www.youtube.com/@gridandglam1 Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

From lip butter to Botox, people today are shelling out a lot of money on beauty products and procedures. According to The Aesthetic Society, people in the U.S. spent $11.8 billion on aesthetic procedures in 2022. When it comes to beauty products, one report from Lending Tree shows the average American spends $1,754 annually, with younger generations budgeting even more for beauty (thanks, TikTok). But do we really need to spend big bucks on beauty products and procedures to look our best? Val Monroe, the former longtime beauty director at O Magazine and writer behind the popular Substack How Not To F*ck Up Your Face, says it's time to get back to basics. She joins us to talk about her simple skincare routine and whether you really need that new product you're eyeing. Takeaways: Having a simple, effective, and inexpensive beauty routine is key. Surgical procedures should be approached with careful consideration. It's important to ask who you're doing this for and learn how to practice radical self-acceptance.
