In today's episode we offer you a profound understanding of why the resurrection of Jesus Christ is not just a historical event, but the bedrock of our faith, as Paul explains in 1 Corinthians 15. We pay tribute to the enduring legacy of William Cowper, delving into his classic hymn "There Is a Fountain Filled with Blood," and uncovering the depths of its theological richness. We take a look at both Cowper's personal struggles, and the pastoral support and comfort he received from the Unwin family and Rev. John Newton. We learn a little about how the Cowper's words have had various music settings and get to hear various takes on the most popular tune used today. Reawaken Hymn's moving rendition of this hymn bring home the episode's message of hope and the enduring promise of the gospel. As we reflect on themes of atonement and the free gift of salvation, the life-changing impact of this sacred song becomes clear. Cowper's song  journeys from the somber reflection of Good Friday to the triumph of Easter Sunday.  We explore the vivid imagery of the dying thief and the infinite mercy of God, challenging us to live as "resurrection people," filled with the transformative power of Jesus' resurrection in our daily lives. The Adrian Flux live events team were mobilised, the tickets sold out within hours, the boys quickly organised draught beer and a barbecue, and all they needed now were some special guests! Well, with it being only a couple of days before the BTCC weekend at Silverstone, it made sense to make it a touring car legends special, and they don't come much bigger than Tim Harvey and Matt Neal! As long as Dave could make sure that Matt didn't try and punch Jason again, it promised to be a decent night! This is what happened…

Jade McInally is the singer, songwriter and guitarist with four piece Australian band, Jade Imagine. The band made a real impression on ‘I Wish I Wrote That Song’ presenter Keith Wyatt when they supported Julia Jacklin on tour in the UK, towards the end of 2018. We talked to Jade about her new EP, ‘You Remind Me Of Something I Lost’, covering the Tiny Ruins song ‘Dream Wave’ for the Milk On Milk album and of course, the song she wish she wrote, a song by Sibylle Baier released in 2006, almost 30 years after it was originally recorded.. The new EP was the follow-up to the critically acclaimed ‘Basic Love’ album released in 2019. As with all of their releases to date, the EP was produced by band member, Tim Harvey. Enjoy listening! The future looks not so bright for the worst players in the entertainment industry, and while that is definitively a good thing, the long-term impact on the genre world is still unclear. The treatment of women also plays into some of the criticisms of the original Blade Runner, and with the release of its sequel last weekend, those criticisms and others are being discussed again by genre fans. Mr. Harvey takes a look at how Film Noir influenced the first film for good and ill, his own interest in that genre and its issues, and how Blade Runner influenced and continues to influence our cinematic view of the future. And, more importantly, no matter how influential or popular it is, why it's OK to not like Ridley Scott's iconic film.

Harry Knowles and his team were paving the way with scoops and previews of all the pretty genre things. Now, Ain't It Cool (yes, it's still around) is dealing with a staff exodus in the wake of 20-year-old sexual harassment allegations against Knowles. That, plus the news that Devin Faraci went back to work for the Alamo Drafthouse folks after the reveal that he was accused of the same thing, now puts Tim League and Alamo in the cross-hairs.Plus: there was a thing what happened this week. A thing calling itself Star Trek. And you know what? It might not be all bad... but let's talk about it.

To be blunt, it hasn't been a great summer for Hollywood. While 2017 has seen genre success with films like Kong: Skull Island, Logan, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Get Out, Split and, of course, Wonder Woman and some little film about a clown, the summer months are supposed to be where Hollywood's blockbusters live, and yet the list of big budget genre films that have crashed and burned is not at all short. Valarian and the City of a Thousand Planets, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, The Dark Tower, Alien: Covenant, The Mummy, Transformers: The Last Knight, Life, Ghost in the Shell... all these and more cost $100's of millions to make and promote, only to see audiences stay away in droves. The studios are pointing to the critics and sites like Rotten Tomatoes and blaming them for poisoning the public on these big-budget, big-name flops, but are they the real culprits here? This week Mr. Harvey takes a look and asks: Bad reviews, or bad movies?

Jason and I covered some of that ground with H2O - SciFi4Me's very first and longest running podcast - and I hope to cover even more here. We're looking at doing reviews, interviews, maybe even some live old-school radio theatre along with - one does hope - the thoughtful analysis and reasoned opinion that you've come to expect from us, and more. The best part of writing and recording for SciFi4Me is that it's a kind of conversation with our readers and listeners, and if you watch The Tim Harvey Show live on SciFi4Me TV.2, you can be a part of that conversation in real time. I'll be taking your comments and questions every Thursday night on our Twitch channel, hopefully be a little bit entertaining and informative, and try in probable vain to keep to 30-35-minute schedule.I do hope you'll join me.

Michelin will host the Supercar Paddock at the Goodwood Festival of Speed for the second year in succession, teaming up with former British Touring Car Champion Tim Harvey at the UK’s flagship motorsport event. The 2013 event marks 20 years of the Festival of Speed, which Michelin will help celebrate by bringing its supercar and motorsport heritage to life with two exhibition sites, one in the Supercar Paddock and one in the main arena, at the festival. The stands will showcase some of Michelin’s milestones over the years both on the track and on the road. Harvey will welcome superstar cars and drivers on to the Michelin Supercar Paddock stand for interviews and to display some of the most impressive and exciting cars at the festival.

Now in its sixth year, BRDC SuperStars is well established as a programme which any serious young British driver aspires to be part of. As the scheme only selects the very brightest prospects, competition for places is tough and keenly fought. The SuperStars are supported with training programmes which the on-track results of the last two years suggest, do help give those taking part a competitive edge. SuperStars compete across the different disciplines from single seaters to prototypes, touring cars to GTs. Indeed, it is an important part of the scheme's ethos to ensure that those who benefit from the support go on to be successful across all disciplines of motor sport and not simply in racing cars. The Club very much wants to play its part in nurturing talent across the board in order to ensure that British drivers remain at the fore, both nationally and internationally, in years to come. In addition to access to the Club and the opportunities for networking with the Members, the SuperStars will receive direct assistance with all aspects of professional motor sport. This will include help with physical and mental training, career guidance, team building skills, sponsorship advice, media and sales training, PR and marketing, motor sport seminars and workshops with BRDC Members. They will also gain significant benefit of media coverage that the BRDC SuperStars programme itself generates. Indeed, the Club's endorsement of each young driver's status as one of the very brightest prospects in motor sport is undoubted but hard to put a value on. The SuperStars programme helps to strengthen links between young drivers and the Club, as well as reinforcing the relevance of the BRDC to the wider motor sport community. I look forward to a successful and helpful year with the 2013 BRDC SuperStars drivers.
