De dag die je wist dat zou komen, was daar in Canada. De twee teamgenoten van Mclaren kregen het met elkaar aan de stok en het eindigde in tranen voor Lando Norris. In een crash die verdacht veel weg had van een crash op dezelfde plek met twee McLarens in 2011, nam Norris de bekende woorden van de legendarische Ayrton Senna iets te veel ter harte. Daarnaast was er nog de legendarische GP van Le Mans waar ex F1 coureur Robert Kubica met Ferrari de zege wist te behalen. Kortom genoeg om te bespreken! We gaan van start!

Kirkwood lyckades ta en seger för Honda-försedda Andretti Global som, åtminstone enligt Mattias, Chevrolet definitivt borde ha tagit. I Le Mans infriade favorittippade Ferrari förväntningarna och tog tredje segern i rad – men blev det verkligen som de hade tänkt sig? Specyfikę wyścigu Le Mans, i pułapki czyhające na kierowców podczas jego trwania objaśnia następująco:Pamiętajmy, że Robert Kubica startował już któryś raz w Le Mans; w 2021 roku w niższej kategorii, w LMP2, on jechał po pewne zwycięstwo. Na tym ostatnim okrążeniu, w tej 23 godzinie, 59 minucie, auto odmówiło  posłuszeństwa. Nie przekroczyli linii mety. I takie sytuacje się zdarzają; jeśli zawodnik będzie zbyt zmęczony, nie dogada się, czy to właśnie z bolidem, czy po prostu przeceni swój manewr to rozbije bolid. [...] Więc to są 24 godziny maksymalnego skupienia  kierowców, strategów i całej ekipy.

Peter talks at length with the driver who in 2024 underwent open-heart surgery before rising again to win. Only one other driver in motor racing history - Robert Kubica - has won both a World Championship Grand Prix and a major rally championship; the other is Heikki Kovalainen. Winner of the 2008 Hungarian GP for McLaren-Mercedes and a podium finisher for Renault F1, Heikki subsequently won two Japanese Rally Championships with Toyota in 2022 and 2023. Then, in the spring of 2024,  Heikki's life changed suddenly when he underwent urgent open-heart surgery in Finland. For two hours he was on life-support.As we now know, the operation was a resounding success. Heikki was soon back in business, presenting the trophies on the podium for the Secto Rally of Finland in early August, before winning again in Japan. It wasn't over, though: on November 25 he was lying a stunning third in the WRC2 division of the Rally of Japan when he crashed heavily on a fast right-hander. Did you know? There have been more Canadian Grands Prix than any other Grand Prix outside of Europe. BMW have been in and out of Formula 1 since the inaugural Drivers' World Championship in 1950. As BMW's Motorsport Director, Mario Theissen oversaw their most recent return at the start of the 21st century. Firstly with Williams and then with Sauber, the following 10 seasons provided plenty of ups and downs before the company decided to pull out of F1 altogether at the end of 2009.  Speaking to Tom Clarkson, Mario shares his memories of an unforgettable decade in the sport. Williams enjoyed a couple of years as ‘best of the rest' during an era of Ferrari and Michael Schumacher dominance in the early 2000's, but relationships within the team started to falter and the partnership ended in 2005.  BMW bought Sauber and Theissen became team principal from 2006 onwards. He recalls the emotions he felt when Robert Kubica suffered a horrifying crash at the Canadian Grand Prix in 2007, before leading a 1-2 at the same track a year later. Mario reveals why he and Kubica had a dispute as he challenged for the drivers' title in 2008, why BMW's decision to leave came as a surprise and how the introduction of the double diffuser played a part in their destiny.  Plus, hear why Sebastian Vettel showed wisdom beyond his years at the very beginning of his career. He's the newest member of ‘The Piranha Club' – the nickname for the ruthlessly competitive group of F1 Team Principals. Aston Martin's Mike Krack is not a newcomer to F1, however. A former European go-kart racer, Mike earned his engineering stripes with Sauber in the early 2000s, where he moulded and mentored a young Felipe Massa. He witnessed the supreme strength and skill of Robert Kubica, and steered Sebastian Vettel through his Grand Prix debut at BMW in 2007.
