Am Dienstag beendete Klaas Heufer-Umlauf seine Late-Night-Show «Late Night Berlin» nach sieben Jahren. Die Produktionsfirma Florida TV hat im Anschluss an «Circus HalliGalli» insgesamt 185 Episoden in 14 Staffeln gepackt. Die Show war allerdings seit Jahren kein Garant für hohe Quoten, weil das Vorprogramm von ProSieben sehr variierte und der Zuschauer keine Regelmäßigkeit erwarten konnten. Dennoch fragen sich Mario Thunert, Veit-Luca Roth und Fabian Riedner, ob nicht das Konzept der Late-Night nicht der Vergangenheit angehört. Bei «Late Night Berlin» erreichen die aufwändig produzierten Einspielfilme bei YouTube ein Millionenpublikum, die Sendung selbst besteht noch zum großen Teil aus Talks und Spielen mit Gästen. Daher bleibt die Frage, ob man dieses Format noch benötigt. Außerdem startete am 22. April die neue Joko-und-Klaas-Show «Ein sehr gutes Quiz (mit hoher Gewinnsumme)» bei ProSieben. Das Konzept der neuen Sendung, die bei der Autobahnausfahrt Nord bei Bad Rappenau startete, ist nicht wirklich gelungen. Allerdings sind die Moderatoren Joachim Winterscheidt und Klaas Heufer-Umlauf solche Entertainer, dass das drumherum zum Spaß wurde.

So sah das Jahr 2024 der Bieler Band Pegasus aus, als mittendrin Bassist Gabriel Spahni seinen Austritt gibt. «Ich musste akzeptieren, dass es nicht mehr das Richtige ist. Es ist nicht gesund für mich», erzählt Spahni in der SRF-«DOK» «Pegasus: Eine Band macht Schluss». Spahnis Ausstieg bringt das ganze Bandgefüge ins Wanken. Wer bleibt? Wer geht? Kann die Band das überhaupt überleben? Es ist Sommer 2024. Die Show muss weitergehen. Bis zum definitiven Ausstieg Ende 2025 stehen die Mitglieder von Pegasus noch rund hundertmal zusammen auf der Bühne. «Du kriegst einen Oscar, wenn du hundertmal so tun kannst, als hättest du richtig Spass miteinander», so Pegasus-Sänger Noah Veraguth zur herausfordernden Situation. Seit über 20 Jahren sind Noah Veraguth, Gabriel Spahni, Stefan Brenner und Simon Spahr eine Band. Eine, deren Name aus der Schweizer Musikszene nicht mehr wegzudenken ist. Die vier Freunde aus Biel BE wurden im Proberaum, im Studio und auf der Bühne zusammen erwachsen. Aus den Kids wurden professionelle Musiker. Aus der Band ein ambitioniertes Unternehmen. «Bei Pegasus gab es wenig Platz, Schwäche zu zeigen», gibt Veraguth zu Protokoll und bezeichnet die Banddynamik von Pegasus hinter den Kulissen rückblickend als «oldschool». Darunter hat streckenweise die Freundschaft des Quartetts gelitten. Man ist sich einig, dass der bandinterne Umgang nicht immer optimal war. Der Filmemacher Ivo Amarilli hat Pegasus 2024 sehr nahe begleitet. Die Idee war, dieses unglaublich intensive Jahr festzuhalten. Doch es kam anders. Plötzlich passierten Dinge, die die Leben der vier Freunde und dieser Band für immer verändern sollten.

What does it really mean to be a disciple of Jesus Christ? Those that have been around church for any length of time, have undoubtedly heard the term or even been a part of the process called "discipleship". But what does it really mean to be a disciple and how does that apply to our lives today? My guest on The March or Die Show today is Dennis Allen. Dennis has a diverse background  having served as six-time Chief Executive Officer specializing in “turnarounds” for Wall Street-backed corporations. Dennis works and speaks with businesses, universities, churches, and conferences focusing on leadership and discipleship. Dennis serves today on boards, in business and charity leadership roles. As well as his efforts in churches of all sizes – megas, mids, and startups – as an elder, deacon, and teacher. A combat-rated Air Force F-15 fighter pilot, and an alumnus of the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. Throughout his career Dennis has been involved in a number of churches and has noticed a disturbing trend: Many Christians and regular church attendees are either unable or unwilling to share their faith outside of the walls of their church! This has led to an alarming percentage of young people walking away from the faith that was a part of their growing up lives. Man sitzt und schwitzt, weil es gesund ist und dem Körper guttut, nicht um sich aufzugeilen. Entsprechend ist die Atmosphäre unerotisch. One area that we do not focus on enough is the mental health challenges of those working in the First Responder community. Dealing daily with traumatic and potentially dangerous situations, years of shift work and mandatory overtime all contribute to high levels of anxiety, depression, often suicide among those who keep us safe. Thankfully, these challenges, as well as resources and solutions, are finally being recognized and increasingly prioritized by police and fire departments.
