There's A Reason  On today's Podcast  - we're going to discuss the reasons certain Safety Practices are in place.  So stay tuned... Welcome to Warehouse Safety Tips! You can find the show notes to each episode, links to information mentioned on the podcast, the social media platforms we're on, and anything else related to the podcast at WarehouseSafetyTips.com (https://www.warehousesafetytips.com) . If you're a seasoned Podcast Listener - this podcast is going to be different from most you listen to.  It's based around exactly what the name implies - Warehouse Safety Tips.  And since the people in that industry are busy - we know time is money, so each episode will be as short and to the point as possible. And now that all that is out of the way - let's get to the Podcast! When you make a Podcast or Social Media Post - one of the things you almost always adhere to is keeping your information Evergreen.  Being Evergreen means it's fresh, relevant, and will never go out of date to those consuming it.  On our last Podcast entitled "Are You Ready EVERY Day?" - we spoke about our world being in the grips of the Coronavirus.  Unfortunately that situation appears it's going to get worse before it gets better.  And it's the same reason why I've chosen to break the constraints of remaining Evergreen - to hammer in our message today. What IS that message? It's the idea that there's a reason for everything.   Do you remember the first time you saw signs telling you not to climb into enclosures at the zoo and thought, "Why WOULD anyone EVER do that?!?"  Not only did enough people do it, that it required zoos to create and display a permanent sign - but people CONTINUE to do it even though it goes beyond all Common Sense and there are warnings on why you SHOULDN'T do it. The same thing exists with the Coronavirus. Most of us KNOW: We shouldn't cough and sneeze without covering our face. We should regularly wash our hands and maintain good - if not great - hygiene. We should keep our fingers out of our mouth and eyes. We shouldn't go to work - and other public places - when sick. We should wear protective gear when handling anything we're serving to others. And although this Coronavirus - and all the chaos surrounding it - will eventually go away, the rules that are created during it won't.  And at some point - people will wonder why: They're told to wash their hands so much. There are SO many Hand Sanitizer Dispensers at their facility - and why they're told to use them so much. Social Distancing is so widely enforced. Safety Masks are needed. Safety Gloves aren't just for protecting your hands any longer. Shaking Hands is prohibited. Clean / Sterile Environments and Practices are strictly enforced. The difference is - now there are going to be signs and very likely, teams within facilities that create and enforce enhanced hygiene and safety practices. Before moving on - here's a word from one of our sponsors. If you've ever been to or worked in a warehouse - you know just how important safety is to both management and staff.  It's almost impossible to go 10 steps without seeing Safety Tape, Angles, Signs, and/or products.   It's these items that show us how to be safe and avoid danger in the workplace.  And if you're looking for the best products to make this happen - look no further than Mighty Line!   Mighty Line Floor Signs / Floor Markings offer the best industrial products out there! Go to MightyLineTape.com/SafetyTips (https://mightylinetape.com/safetytips) to request a Sample Pack of their incredible Safety Signs and Floor Markings. What makes Mighty Line the superior choice in keeping your facility safe and productive? Mighty Line Tape is the strongest floor tape on the market and has a beveled edge that increases durability for industrial brush scrubbers, forklifts, and heavy industrial wheel traffic.  Easy installation and removal thanks to Mighty Line's peel and stick backing.  You can apply and reapply it during installation - and it leave no sticky residue should you need to remove it.  This allows ability to change workflow areas quickly and easily - and not have the downtime associated with painting or using floor markings that leave behind a mess when you remove them. Mighty Line Tape is 7 times thicker than the average Safety Floor Tape. Mighty Line's Signs and Marking come in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes.  And if they don't have what you're looking for in stock - their Customize It Program allows you to create exactly what you're looking for.  Mighty Line offers a Limited 3-Year Warranty on their Floor Signs and Markings. And last but certainly not least - Mighty Line Products are Patented and PROUDLY Made in the USA! We're proud to have Mighty Line as THE Official Floor Sign / Floor Marking Company for the Warehouse Safety Tips Podcast and Site.  Again - Go to MightyLineTape.com/SafetyTips (https://mightylinetape.com/safetytips) to request a Sample Pack of their incredible Safety Signs and Floor Markings. Now back to the Podcast... At the start of this Podcast - we spoke about how there's always a reason for how certain things are handled. In the commercial you just heard - you know our sponsor has all the Safety Signs and Floor Markings you would ever need to accommodate creating Social Distancing Markings throughout your facility, as well as signs indicating Hand Washing Stations.  A benefit they have over a lot of other Safety Tape and Sign Companies - is their ability to create almost any custom design you need and do so in house.  In addition - all signs and floor markings are manufactured with their patented process and Made In The USA! As you can image - needs that have NEVER surfaced before will arise from this Coronavirus Pandemic, and thanks to our sponsor, your facility can have specialized Safety Signs and Floor Markings that will be needed to enforce these new needs, policies, and guidelines. We will get through this. We will get back to business as usual. And we will be here to bring you Safety Tips to continually keep you, your staff, and your facility safe, organized, and productive! If you visit WarehouseSafetyTips.com (https://www.warehousesafetytips.com) - you'll find the Show Notes for this episode.   Thank you for listening to Warehouse Safety Tips - and have SAFE day!

No, of course not, it’s everything i’m working towards why on earth would I fear getting everything I want, you crazy?’   Right?   Well, you might be surprised to know that this is one of THE most common fears that hold us back as business owners and often the hardest to spot for exactly that reaction. Why WOULD you fear getting everything you’re working so hard for? Well, on a conscious level you don’t really!  That’s the problem   Fear of failure and fear of judgement are FAR easier to identify but the fear of success can be slightly more pesky.   There may be a few little sneaky unconscious drivers at play that need to be identified so they can be challenged and told ever so politely to stop getting in your way.   We’re all working and striving for success so why on earth would we sabotage ourselves based on something we actually want?   Sounds bonkers right?   Well, if unconsciously you think that getting the success that you want would affect your relationships, your friendships or anything else for that matter in a potentially negative way then it starts to become easier to see why this may happen.   Fear of success is also one of the BIG reasons that we procrastinate, and we can’t work out why. How do I know if I have a fear of success? So, how do you identify a fear of success...and overcome it?   To identify it look at your behaviours currently in your business and really start to challenge what you’re telling yourself about why you’re doing them. A lot of these won’t be in your conscious thoughts BUT the REASONS and EXCUSES you’re making will be.     Do you not finish tasks even though you know that if you did it could propel your business forward?   Do you procrastinate but it’s not because you don’t WANT to do something or are afraid of failing?   Are you easily distracted?   Do things start going really well and then all of a sudden things start going wrong all at the same time? Fear of success can be HUGELY linked to your money story too.   If you believe that ‘Rich people are bad people’ or anything along those lines it’s really going to get in your way and your unconscious WILL sabotage you because...you don’t want to be a bad person right?   With success comes potential (inevitable) rejection too and maybe even some good old trolls, so if you don’t put yourself out there to be seen by lots of eyeballs then you’ll stay safe right?   A biggie is that you worry about change and fear the unknown when it comes to what it will mean for your life when you’re successful. Your brain loves certainty so it’s obviously going to try and keep you there as best it can. How can I work out mine?!     There are a few common underlying thoughts that I see come up often with clients that may help you identify your own and a little reframe for each to help you think differently: What if I get judged by or even lose my friends?   You may think on the surface you’re working towards everything you’ve ever wanted but the reality is not everyone will support you and that’s fine, you’ll learn who your real friends are.     Your relationships will evolve and the RIGHT people will stay right by your side and be proud of you.     There will be people who are jealous, you will highlight things in other people that they don’t like (not everyone would back themselves to do what you’re doing so kudos to you for that!)   You will find new friends, with common goals, interests and values.  It can be hard to let some friendships go but don’t be afraid to. OMG it will be SO much responsibility! And it’s all on ME!   You may unconsciously be concerned about the level of responsibility. Bills to pay, irregular income, no paid holidays.     It’s easy to sabotage your success when on the outside it LOOKS like you’re doing all the things to set you up for success but the responsibility of having your own business can feel heavy sometimes.     For example, you might be delaying registering your business or registering as self employed or VAT registering.  All the things that make it REAL. I was DEFINITELY guilty of this one in my first business.   You may even be telling yourself you will have to do ALL the things, the reality is it’s just not true! The more successful you get the more you can outsource and build your team. Will my family still accept me?   A lot of your unconscious beliefs around success and money will come from your family.     So if you grew up with things like ‘rich successful people are greedy and arrogant’ then why would you help yourself get rich and successful?     You’ve told your brain your entire life it’s not what you want or who you want to be, so you have some serious cognitive dissonance going on where you’re battling what you consciously want against your unconscious beliefs!     If you also believe it’s what THEY will think of you then it becomes easier to see how this could hold you back. What if I become someone I don’t like?   Similar to the previous point.  If you believe that what you’re trying to achieve comes with a potential personality shift for the negative then why would you NOT sabotage your success?     If you believe successful people are greedy, arrogant, have no time and are selfish then of course you’re going to unconsciously get in your way.     Do you have evidence to suggest otherwise?  Do you see successful people doing charity work, being kind to others, being generous and humble?  Those are the people you need to focus on and remind yourself (and your brain!) of! Will I still have time to do the things I enjoy, will I have ANY time?   If you believe success is linked to ‘busy-ness’ or has to come FROM it then this one could definitely get in your way.     If you believe that having a successful business means LESS time with your family and loved ones, LESS time with friends, LESS time to be doing the things you love then it would be helpful to nip that in the bud.     It’s like I mentioned before.  The more successful you get the more your team can grow so you can work less and earn more.     Delightful, right?  Change that story!   There are a TONNE more but these are the ones I see most frequently and until you can identify the unconscious beliefs and habits that are keeping you stuck, you’ll continue to sabotage yourself.     BUT, once you identify them and create that awareness, then you challenge them, reframe them and create NEW beliefs and habits that actually SERVE you...then the whole world opens up to you my friend!   If you know that now is the time to start changing things for yourself and want to explore this further, have any questions or want some accountability to make sure you’re doing the things you need to then please book in a free discovery call so we can see what needs to happen to get you from where you’re at right now, to the successful business owner you know you can be!!   Fx

Chazal teach us that the name of Mashiach is the leper. Why would Mashiach have such a strange name? Only the Kohen can declare someone afflicted with tzaras to be pure or impure. Why? Would it not make more sense to have the chacham who actually knows the halacha be the one who makes the declaration? In this shiur, Rav Burg expounds upon the notion that it is our worst parts that can bring us redemption. The secret is seeing even our most difficult personality traits with love and compassion. We all carry within ourselves an inner Metzora that is standing outside the gates but ultimately they will bring us the message of Mashiach's arrival.

Today's post is an addendum from Saturday's post on the apparent death of a health system Lean program: "Why Would a New Healthcare CEO Kill a Lean Program?"If you read that post, there's an interesting comment from a Presence Health employee that doesn't shed too much more light on this: "From the standpoint of a current Presence Health Employee~ my opinion is that the RIEs failed because they were aggressively site specific. At a time when PresenceHealth is "Becoming One" I do not believe the RIEs took the entire ministry into consideration when planning events. Decisions and "experiments" where being made and conducted through a site specific lens, and this was often in contradiction to the spirit of the new organization." As I commented in response, I'm not sure why a goal of common processes or a health system that's actually a system would be a reason to stop with Lean. Unless hopefully they are really just re-booting the effort instead of killing it altogether. As I alluded to in the post Saturday, there was a sad story about ahospital that I featured in the 2008 1st edition of Lean Hospitals that basically killed their promising program when a new CEO was hired from the outside. As Adam Zak, one of the top Lean-focused executive recruiters said, it's a shame that the board (apparently) didn't hire a CEO with Lean experience. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/lean-blog-audio/support

I have people who want to start podcasting and they have an idea of what to talk about, they have the money to buy equipment, but still they won't start podcasting. Today we talk about why, and what you can do to get over it. Because of My Podcast I  Spoke in Front of 20,000 People [2:30] Kenn Blanchard of the Black Man with a Gun podcast and the Motor Cycle Radio got to speak at an event in New York and got to share the stage with non other than Donald Trump. How cool is that? Check out Kenn's book, "Black Man with a Gun." We have spoken with Kenn before. He once helped a listener who was thinking of committing suicide. He got to speak about the rights of people and have dinner with some millionaires. Shalom Baby! You can find all of Kenn's podcasts at www.blanchardmediagroup.com  Last 5 in 5 [4:50] This was recorded on the floor of Podcast Movement with Jeremy and Taylor from Final Clock Out podcast. I am humbled by this number. http://youtu.be/4BUXd2y1wEc You can still here my first episode. Is Fear Stopping You From Starting Your Podcast? The answer I'm hearing more and more is how people are trying to get over their "jitters" to start recording your podcast. When we launch a podcast we go into areas that we have never gone before, and that will make us nervous. It's normal. You're going to hate your voice. That's normal. I know that fear can really become a factor so here are some thought to help you face the fears of starting a podcast. 1. Its not live. You can record it once, twice, three times before releasing it. Just because you record it doesn't mean you have to release it to the public. 2. Editing is your friend If it's not perfect, you can edit out the part that need help. And you can always record it again. 3. Why Would people listen to me? Remember you don't have to know everything, you just have to know more than your listener. Or if you don't know anything make it a journey podcast. I'm sure President Obama feels this way when he puts on his tie. I have never felt I could sing. Mainly because my brother told me at an early age. It stung. I sing in most of the bands I play in, but its usually the really high stuff and I have to wear a size smaller underwear to hit the high notes. But I was shocked when my friend asked me to play and sing at his wedding. I did, and I got huge compliments. Everyone had heard me scream on stage, but they had never heard me sing. It turns out I'm not half bad. 4. What's the worst that could happen? If it's really bad, you can always pull it off the Internet. Remember, when you first start there won't be much of an audience (so there isn't much to be embarrassed about ). Try this: instead of convincing yourself to believe the worst about something you fear, try imagining the best. You might make someone's day. You might inspire to change their life for the better. You might inspire a future customer .  When a podcast show fails, there are always lessons to be learned. Many very successful podcasters are on their second (third) show because the first one tanked. Episode 5 – Why Would an Investment Offer a Dividend The other day someone was bragging about the dividend payment they received for one of their investments.  They had no idea that the company was actually making less profit than they were paying out in a dividend annually.  This got me thinking, what does a dividend actually tell you about an investment?  Better yet, what does a company want you to think about them when they decide to offer a … Read more

We begin by trying to name five things: lands, but we end up asking many more questions than we can answer in this episode. Can you help us? Is Greenland a country? Is Luseland a land? Can you name 5 Reichs? What is your dependency status? Is Scotland a country or just a nation? Does Greenland have its own soccer team? Who plays for the Vatican's side? Have you ever eaten while crapping? (You should have been expecting a poo question in here somewhere.) Is the problem swallowing or chewing? Continuously or continually? Are you sick of these questions? Why? Would you like to email us (maskedman@limitedappeal.net)? Theme music courtesy of General Patton vs. The X-Ecutioners and Ipecac Recordings.
