(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims abduct pastor, wife and others during church On Sunday morning, armed Muslim bandits attacked Christians in Ejiba, a community in the Kogi State of Nigeria, abducting a pastor, his wife, and several worshippers during the Cherubim and Seraphim Church service, reports International Christian Concern. According to Open Doors' 2024 World Watch List, more than 4,100 Christians were abducted across Nigeria in the previous year. Data gathered from Nigerian and international monitoring groups place the number of Christians kidnapped since 2014 at more than 20,000, many of them during attacks on villages and houses of worship. Isaiah 59:2-3 says, “It is your evil that has separated you from your God. Your sins cause Him to turn away from you, so He does not hear you. With your hands you have killed others, and with your fingers you have done wrong. With your lips you have lied, and with your tongue you say evil things.” Pray that these menacing Muslims trust Christ as Savior. Trump and Hegseth defend targeted attacks on Venezuelan drug boats At Tuesday's cabinet meeting, President Donald Trump and War Secretary Pete Hegseth responded to questions about the controversial September 2nd air strike on a suspected drug boat in the Caribbean from Venezuela, reports RealClearPolitics.com. Secretary Hegseth doubled down on their methodology and mission. HEGSETH: “The evidence-based way that we're able to, with sources and methods that we can't reveal here, make sure that every one of those drug boats is tied to a designated terrorist organization. We know who's on it, what they're doing, what they're carrying. All these white bales are not Christmas gifts from Santa. This is drugs, running on four-motor fast boats or submarines that we've also struck. No one's fishing on a submarine.” Secretary Hegseth justified the lethal attacks on Venezuelan drug boats in international waters to protect the American people from deadly drugs like fentanyl and cocaine. HEGSETH: “How do you treat al-Qaeda and ISIS? Do you arrest them and pat them on the head and say, ‘Don't do that again'? Or do you end the problem directly by taking a lethal, kinetic approach? And that's the way President Trump has authorized the War Department to look at these [drug] cartels. “The American people are safer because narco-terrorists know you can't bring drugs through the water to the American people. We will eliminate that threat, and we're proud to do it.” President Trump added that these dangerous drugs, much of it from Venezuela, killed 200,000 Americans just last year. TRUMP: “These people have killed over 200,000 people, actually killed over 200,000 people last year. And those numbers are down, there way down. And they're down because we're doing these strikes. “We're going to start doing those strikes on land too. You know the land is much easier. We know the routes they take. We know everything about them. We know where they live. We know where the bad ones live, and we're going to start that very soon too.” Court rules NY's efforts to censor pro-life centers unconstitutional An appeals court panel has ruled that efforts to stop pro-life pregnancy centers in New York from informing patients about abortion pill reversal are unconstitutional, reports The Christian Post.   In an opinion published Monday, a three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit unanimously upheld a lower court ruling siding with two pro-life pregnancy centers, Gianna's House and Options Care Center. New York Attorney General Letitia James alleged that the pro-life groups at the center of her office's enforcement action engaged in “false and misleading” speech by promoting abortion pill reversal as effective. Truth be told, abortion pill reversal is indeed effective through a progesterone protocol. Rev. Phillip Phaneuf, of North Chili United Methodist Church in Rochester, delivered this disturbing announcement as he wore a pro-homosexual, pro-transgender rainbow pride stole in the pulpit. Listen. PHANEUF: “I get to announce with joy that I'm transitioning. I'm affirming and saying to all of you that I am transgender and so and so, the best way to put this is that I'm not becoming a woman. I'm giving up pretending to be a man. So, what will change? My voice. It might go a tad higher. Pronouns?  She/her,  but I'm not going to be ‘pronoun police,' okay? Because I don't think that anybody will misgender out of malice.” The pastor admitted that he has been taking hormone replacement therapy for the past three months. He also addressed what his parents thought. PHANEUF: “Are my parents okay with this? Absolutely not. They texted me this morning and they asked for me to tell you all that they do not support me and that they have chosen their convictions and their beliefs over supporting their child.” Phaneuf, who donned a transgender stole during a subsequent service, claimed that God had endorsed his transition, reports LifeSiteNews.com. He asked, “If you felt God's Holy Spirit surrounding you in ways that you haven't felt in years, would you have a sense that that might be something that God was okay with? Yeah.” However, Genesis 1:27 affirms that God created each of us to be either male or female. “So, God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” 91% of college students say words are “violence” after Charlie Kirk murder And finally, in the aftermath of the horrific assassination of free speech activist Charlie Kirk, 91% of American undergraduates believe “words can be violence”, reports FaithWire.com. The new data was compiled by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, which asked more than 2,000 college students about their perceptions of free speech in the United States. Remarkably, 204 of the students surveyed were from Utah Valley University in Orem, where Charlie Kirk was fatally gunned down while peacefully and cordially taking questions from attendees. The foundation called the survey results “especially startling coming in the wake of Charlie Kirk's assassination — an extreme and tragic example of the sharp difference between words and violence.” Sean Stevens, chief research advisor for the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, said, “When people start thinking that words can be violence, violence becomes an acceptable response to words. Even after the murder of Charlie Kirk at a speaking event, college students think that someone's words can be a threat. This section of something I have been writing lately, has to do with Prabhupāda's statement about how chanting Harē Kṛṣṇa is forced meditation; I'm just interpreting that. I've included some other śāstra, which I'll just read to you briefly. In other words, it's a brief segment excerpt. At Nectar of Instruction, verse three. In his purport, Śrīla Prabhupāda tells how powerful such a prayer can be. "Devotional service," Prabhupāda writes, "is so pure and perfect that once having begun, one is forcibly dragged to ultimate success." In other words, for those who pray for Kṛṣṇa's help, Kṛṣṇa takes personal care and pulls them in the right direction. Anugraha, often translated as mercy, literally means "to grab and pull." Chanting japa invites Kṛṣṇa to grab and pull us to him. Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura, in his last bhajan in Śaraṇāgati, tells how the Holy Name abducts him, taking him directly to Kṛṣṇa. "The Holy Name is the bud of the flower of divine love, and it is the very abode of astonishing mellows. Such is the power he manifests that when his holy name starts to blossom a little further, it then reveals his own divine form and qualities. Thus my heart is abducted and taken directly to Kṛṣṇa. Blossoming fully, the flower of the holy name takes me to Vraj and reveals to me his own love dalliance. This name gives to me my own eternal spiritual body, keeps me right by Kṛṣṇa's side, and completely destroys everything related to this immortal frame of mine." Abduct means "the action of taking someone away by force." Kṛṣṇa, by his supreme powers, personally escorts those who chant his divine name back to his supreme abode. Kṛṣṇa's name is so kind that he helps even those who accidentally chant His names, what to speak of those who chant with love? The first ambush occurred on the evening of Saturday, August 9 in North Kivu Province.  The Muslims targeted a specific vehicle and abducted its passengers. The second, more deadly attack occurred during the night of Sunday, August 10 in the Ituri Province.  They killed three people, set ablaze several vehicles and houses, and abducted many residents who remain missing. Nearly 10,000 sign petition demanding Toronto mayor end taxpayer funding to homosexual ‘pride' events A petition signed by 10,000 people has been submitted to Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow demanding an end to taxpayer funding of homosexual/ transgender “pride” events, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Earlier this month, Gregory Tomchyshyn, the Canadian campaign director for Citizen Go, dropped off a petition to Mayor Chow calling for her government to end its lavish spending of taxpayer dollars on the promotion of sexual perversion, including the “Toronto Pride” parade. For years now, LifeSiteNews has documented the event's crude floats, public nudity, and public displays of sexual exhibitionism. The petition said, “Mayor Olivia Chow and Toronto City Council just handed $350,000 in taxpayer money to Pride Toronto, despite the event's history of public nudity and indecent displays in full view of families and children.” According to Canadian Broadasting Corporation News, “Pride Toronto” will see its taxpayer funding hiked by 26 percent since fewer corporations want to promote sexual immorality. Venezuelan Evangelical Christians march for Jesus Thousands of Evangelical Christians mobilized across Venezuela during the March for Jesus, reports The Christian Post.  The event featured preaching, public worship, biblical reflection, and prayers for Venezuela. According to the Latin Evangelical Alliance, this year's theme was: “Jesus, the nations belong to You.” Social media was filled with images of the march, which was held not only in cities but also in rural towns. Pastor José Piñero, executive director of the Evangelical Council of Venezuela, addressed the crowd in Cumaná with a message in Spanish focused on grace.  I'll translate this 9-sentence clip in a moment. (Piñero speaks in Spanish) Pastor  Piñero said, “We are here because this land cries out for hope. And that hope has a name. And His name is Jesus Christ! (cheers) “Today, we march with purpose, with conviction, with firm love.  We don't march for ideologies. We don't march for human agendas. We don't march for political agendas. We don't march for sectarian agendas.  We come with the eternal Word of God, the Bible.” Proverbs 30:5 says, “Every W ord of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.” Seventeen percent of Venezuela's population is comprised of Protestants and 71% is Catholic. Trump-Putin meeting in Anchorage today about ending Russo-Ukrainian War Anchorage, Alaska Mayor Suzanne LaFrance, an Independent, has announced that the city is “prepared and ready” for President Donald Trump's high-stakes meeting today with Russian President Vladimir Putin about ending the Russo-Ukrainian War. The meeting is set to be held at the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Trump seeks to extend federal D.C. takeover as ‘sanctuary city' policies put on ice In an effort to eradicate violent crime in our nation's capital, President Donald Trump is preparing to ask Congress to extend the 30-day limit on his federal takeover of Washington, D.C. When asked by a reporter Thursday if he intends to seek congressional approval to prolong his federalization of D.C.'s Metropolitan Police Department, the president said this in reply. TRUMP: “Well, if it's a national emergency, we can do it without Congress, but we expect to be before Congress very quickly. We think the Democrats will not do anything to stop crime, but we think the Republicans will do it almost unanimously.” The president began moving federal law enforcement agents into D.C. late last week, following the vicious beating of a Department of Government Efficiency staffer, 19-year-old Edward Cristine, who intervened in a carjacking to protect the female victim. On August 11th, President Trump officially took federal control of the D.C. police department and quickly mobilized the D.C. National Guard. Between August 7 and the morning of August 13, the federal crackdown yielded 103 arrests on charges ranging from suspected homicide and narcotics to firearm offenses and even illegal immigration. Woman sues Marine who allegedly poisoned her drink with 10 abortion pills And finally, Liana Davis, a Texas woman, has become the latest victim of a disturbing case of the abortion kill pill being used against her, and she's taking her pain to court, reports The Washington Stand. Her lawsuit alleges that Christopher Cooprider, a 34-year-old U.S. Marine, impregnated her and repeatedly pressured her to “get rid” of the baby, despite her firm refusals. According to the federal lawsuit, Davis has accused Cooprider of dissolving at least 10 misoprostol pills into her drink, without her knowledge, at her Corpus Christi home while she was eight weeks pregnant with his child. It only took 30 minutes after drinking the spiked beverage for Davis to start “hemorrhaging and cramping.” She asked for his help, but Cooprider fled the scene and was unreachable.  In a text at 12:30a.m., she wrote, “I am gushing blood. Please hurry.” But he never responded.  Tragically, their baby died. The first half of Proverbs 28:13 describes Christopher Cooprider well. “He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.” The wrongful death lawsuit seeks unspecified damages from Cooprider and Aid Access, the company which sold the abortion kill pill to the randy Marine. According to NBC News, “The Corpus Christi Police Department said there are no active investigations involving Cooprider.”  The Marine declined to comment as well. According to a new study from the Journal of the American Medical Association, Aid Access shipped 118,000 chemical abortion pill packs into the U.S. between July 2023 and September 2024. On X, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins wrote, “The Trump administration must take action now. 1 in 10 women suffer severe complications from the abortion pill. Traffickers and others use easy drug access to control women and kill unborn children.
