Quantum computing's impact on capital markets, oh boy!IPOs are back, and they're going to be done differentlyThe corporate hybrid debt market's biggest testA green rating to rule them allWe assess what boffins and bankers have been telling us about the impact quantum computing will have on financial markets. As is so often the case with technological leaps, views differ between whether the computational power that quantum offers is a solution in search of a problem that isn't already being solved adequately by Microsoft Excel, or whether we stand on the cusp of a genuine revolution in how markets work. And of course, there are huge risks to consider, not least around security. Is the sky the limit, or is Skynet the limit? We examine the claims. We also look into the European IPO market's comeback and a shift in how deals will be done; an intimidating amount of corporate hybrid debt that needs refinancing; and a new venture for rating companies' green claims.

Autoimmune diseases for most women are life-changing and require cooperation from those who have been diagnosed. Some of the most notorious autoimmune diseases include Lupus, Hashimoto's, AIDs, and even Rheumatoid Arthritis. Most patients diagnosed with an autoimmune disease often suffer from additional autoimmune diseases, as they tend to work together to actively destroy the body. Following the SCOTUS draft leak (Alito opinion; 6-3 vote in favor of the Mississippi law in Dobbs case, 5-4 to overrule Roe v. Wade), you've been hearing and seeing an abundance of false claims, euphemisms, scare tactics, logical fallacies and straight up lies regarding abortion, pro-lifers and Roe v. Wade. E.J. has spent her last two days making notes of what she's been seeing and hearing. She takes the time to walk through her notes and bring the truth to each point. We, at Freedom Families, want to make sure you not only feel confident in your pro-life conviction, but that you also feel prepared and empowered to speak life. Do not stay silent. The preborn need you!If Roe v. Wade is overturned, it does NOT outlaw abortion. All that happens is the decision goes back to the states, to the voters. This is how it was before 1973. Some states will allow (and already do) abortion for any reason, any time and paid for by you (the taxpayer). Other states will allow abortion under some circumstances. While other states will outlaw all abortion."Roe was egregiously wrong from the start. Its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences. And far from bringing about a national settlement of the abortion issue, Roe and Casey have enflamed debate and deepened division. It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people's elected representatives."This episode is long and was not strategically planned out like our interview episodes. E.J. simply walks through the notes and screenshots she has complied. We're continuing our conversations on ADHD and family relationships on The ADHD Podcast with a discussion on teens. "But wait," you might be thinking, "I'm no teen... what do I need with this episode?" Just hang with us a bit. We're talking to the authors of Mindfulness and Self-Compassion for Teen ADHD, Drs. Karen Bluth and Mark Bertin, a book not written about teens and ADHD, but too them. It's one of the rare experiences that asks teens directly and personally to think about their ADHD, their relationship with others and their experience at school and work.A Teen ADHD Book for AllWe've read the book and agree: it's an approachable read, not lingering in the complexities of neuro-diversity, but not shying away from the way the brain works. The main focus, however, is around building a healthy social life, independence, good grades, all in a voice that lets the reader know they're not alone when they get frustrated or feel isolated along the way.The authors join us on the show to talk about the tools that help on the way, mindfulness and self-compassion. And this is where we come back around to you all, likely adults, likely not expecting to be introduced so favorably to a book on ADHD and teens. Well, as we hope you'll hear today, our guests are presenting a mindfulness and self-compassion practice as a tool for all of us, as "the engine for change" in our lives. We live with ADHD, we're parents of ADHD kids, our ADHD lives contain multitudes. Giving ourselves a compassionate pat on the back can go far in helping us approach the world with confidence and kindness to others.About Karen Bluth, Ph.D.Karen Bluth is on faculty in the department of psychiatry and a research fellow at Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she is founder of the Frank Porter Graham Program on Mindfulness and Self-Compassion for Families (https://selfcompassion.web.unc.edu). She is a certified instructor of Mindful Self-Compassion, an internationally acclaimed eight-week course created by Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer; and is a codeveloper of Self-Compassion for Educators, a self-compassion program offered through Mindful Schools.Bluth is also cocreator of the curriculum Making Friends with Yourself: A Mindful Self-Compassion Program for Teens, the teen adaptation of Mindful Self-Compassion; and Embracing Your Life, the young adult adaptation. She is also author of The Self-Compassion Workbook for Teens and The Self-Compassionate Teen. As a mindfulness practitioner for more than forty years, a mindfulness teacher, and an educator with eighteen years of classroom teaching experience, Bluth frequently gives talks, conducts workshops, and teaches classes in self-compassion and mindfulness in educational and community settings. In addition, she trains teachers in Making Friends with Yourself internationally.About Mark Bertin, MDMark Bertin is a developmental pediatrician in private practice in Pleasantville, NY. He is author of How Children Thriveand Mindful Parenting for ADHD, which integrate mindfulness into the rest of evidence-based pediatric care; and a contributing author for Teaching Mindfulness Skills to Kids and Teens. He is on faculty at New York Medical College and The Windward Institute, on advisory boards for Common Sense Media and Reach Out and Read, and on the board of directors for APSARD (the American Professional Society of ADHD and Related Disorders). His blog covering topics in child development, mindfulness, and family is available through PsychologyToday.com, Mindful.org, and elsewhere. In this episode we explore one aspect of our Dharma, our purpose in life.People often think this is one thing. Like, when people say “I’ve always known I wanted to be a marine biologist, ever since I was a kid.”Or, “I just knew I was going to be a teacher.”But the truth is, many of us have multiple strengths and passions that we long to share with the world - especially freedom junkies like my clients, and like you rebels out there listening to this podcast - but we never give ourselves permission to explore and cultivate them. One term used to describe a person with many passions is “multi-passionate,” and here’s what usually happens when someone is a multi-passionate:You notice that bright shiny object (aka new passion)Then uber-obsession kicks in and you think about it all the freakin’ timeThen you take a deep breath and dive in. You learn all you can. You immerse yourself in it. If you’re like me, it make look like an obsession. Then, you start doing it - the new hobby or the new adventureAnd eventually, once you got it figured out or learned “enough,” you may ditch it, or quickly finish it up/get it over with...or add another passion to the listCan you relate?Other characteristics of multi-passionate people:// They love to learn. That’s me 100%. I budget thousands of dollars a year just for learning. I love it THAT much. I wish school was free. But it’s not. So I have to reign it in a bit.// Multi-passionates also read widely in divergent areas that often are not connected.Like how what I’m reading now ranges from a revisiting of Martha Beck’s Steering By Starlight, Michael Benavov’s Men of Salt, about a man’s journey along the Sahara’s ancient salt trade route, and the “green journal” of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Seriously. But what ends up happening with multipassionates is that as a result of this exposure to so many things, we have tons of idea babies. We start to see connections across seemingly disparate areas - and for people that get really good at it, there are brilliant new discoveries, inventions, new ways to apply things, amazing collaborations.Justine Musk, who was formerly married to Elon Musk, the founder of PayPal and the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX (another multi-passionate, right?) once gave some advice about how to become a billionaire. She recommended choosing something unique and helpful that no computer could replicate, and to master that. Then to choose a second thing and become the master of that as well. Then she said, “Introduce hot ideas to each other, so they can have idea sex and make idea babies that no one has seen before”.Brilliant! And this, fellow humans, is what a multi-passionate at their best can do!So it’s actually a blessing to have so many interests, especially when we let our brains explore the different ways we can combine them allWe know a lot about ...a lot! Some examples of multi-passionates are people like Leonardo DaVinci who was a scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, painter, sculptor, architect, musician, and writer...he’s been credited with inventing the helicopter too! Then there’s Maya Angelou. I mean, she has done so much. She danced at a strip joint, ran a brothel, mastered several languages (after not speaking for 5 years as a kid), published a variety of books from cooking to children’s books to poetry. She wrote plays and screenplays and acted in them (she was even nominated for an Emmy!)! And more. I mean what the what????Another characteristic of multi-passionates is they have the ability to focus on a given topic for a long period of time. Many people think multi-passionates have ADHD - and many might, but actually most MPs can also deeply focus on a topic – but with the caveat that they can focus on a given topic as long as it is necessary to learn what they need to know. After that, they move on.And this powerful ability to focus is not to the exclusion of everything else.Rather, it is a stepping-stone to the next thing! The thing that causes a lot of suffering in all this for MPs is that lots of us freak out about having to choose one thing. We don’t want to.But the world really really really wants us to.And we feel that our changing directions lead others to see it as proof that we are confused or something. And we worry people might see us as flaky.I know when I was first starting to strut my multipassionate colors, I would also constantly feel really self-conscious when people at parties would ask, “What do you do?” Where do I even start?Even my hair stylist - she said, “Hey what exactly do you do? I was telling someone about you and how you help women get more confidence and build resilience and have more adventure...but I realized I didn’t know exactly what you DO?”And that’s because it doesn't fit into a box, my friends.Multi-passionates often hear, “Why don’t you just do the safe thing instead? The ‘normal’ thing. The obvious thing?”And our response is usually...because that seems kind of boring. And people don’t get that, especially those folks that are totally content with doing their one thing.Even though I have a truly amazing life now, for much of it I often felt judged. I felt like people thought I was lazy, or scattered, a dilettante, Jill of All Trades (Master of None), unable to focus. “Why can’t she just pick one thing and stick to it?” Barhara Sherer, who wrote the book Refuse to Choose, said, “You are the owner of a remarkable, multi-talented brain trying to do its work in a world that doesn’t understand who you are and doesn’t know why you behave as you do.”When I read that, it put all the things that other people criticized me for in a positive light. I finally felt seen. Understood.Once I embraced this aspect of who I was, I was able to piece all my passions together into a mandala of sorts that works for me. I’ve done everything from being a massage therapist and a New York Times paper girl, a nurse, international climbing guide, yoga teacher, midwife, professor, Master Life Coach – and more! There is a lot to be passionate about within both coaching and the medical field, so they keep me quite content;)I want to make it clear here: you don’t have to choose one thing. One of my superpowers as a coach is being able to see the passions of my clients and helping them create a lifestyle that allows them to LIVE it all. Just like the amazing multi-passionates before them. So many idea babies get born! You can create a mandala like I did, fitting in multiple passions at once. You can drop into one passion for awhile and then move on to the next when you’re ready. You can do it your way. Don’t worry about “having” to pick one. How do you weave together your own mandala in life? In this episode I talk about the importance of:Fulling owning being a MP Managing your mind around it. Choosing who you share your passion projects with with care. When to decide that a passion is a long-term project and what it means for entrepreneursAnd lastly, the importance of letting people be wrong about you and your myriad passions. In short, if you’re a rebel multipassionate, I want to challenge you to own your multipassionism and strut it! Fly that freak flag and wave it in the air. You are a miracle. You are unique. Rifling through the back channels of who dunnit? You always seem to be moving in a tizzy. Does it madder who dun' what? The "WHAT" now "IS" and you need to keep moving.-That is it! It's just it...I'm not moving, I am going through motions, motions I'm in tune with, mostly-but mostly there's a disconnect. This disconnect isn't solely reserved for me, don't seem that way. Luke warm swiss miss, Hallmark channel dreamscapes, I'm not sure how long these heralds of escape can anchor someone, me. I've seen Frasier so many times. The first dozen runs of viewing, I'll ride that off to the writing, to the cast. I'm repeating that with the Big Bang Theory, the attempt to flee into another world. I'm so tuned in, so I can be so tuned out. Let's go back to Frasier, that show captured me when I was an eight year old boy occupying a single bedroom apartment; the "thali" was split between my brother, myself, our rents', and a community of cocklouches, as the building manager would spell them; she gave her word, she was constantly "splaying" to rid the building of those antennae hippies. That flat, Frasier's condo, his world, the accessories to his world was magic. Broomsticks are used to clear the scene of a Raid massacre, maa was too trigger happy.I convinced myself the more I was tuned into the world of Frasier, I'd be able to calibrate mine to sync with that wave. My existence ebbs opposite. Frasier, The Big Bang Theory were the appeasers of my escape, this fluff now is the agitator of my uneasiness. Frasier and his old man constantly clashed, differentiating ideologies born of class structure. Frasier, Niles, the two brothers were the seeds of Martin, to me they seemed to be the fruit occupying the highest branch. Martin was mulch, the elderly thing decaying, inhabiting a decaying recliner housed in the highest branch. We clash with our father, we sit on no particular tier, clashes born of uncertainty, born of the need to grasp on to something. These clashes feel like decaying; the process of decaying is an element in the surgance of life, these clashes aren't that, they're just decay feeding into decay. So often we feel disconnected, unsure, and bad about ourselves. We don’t set the boundaries we need and we don’t take care of ourselves. Here is the answer to these problems. The wisdom you seek is within you, and when you can listen deeply without distraction, you will hear the truth. Ana is an Energy Aligner and Heart Activator. In 2014 she had a spiritual awakening and felt like she had come home to herself. Now she helps people heal their emotional wounds so they can live a meaningful life.Quotes to remember: “When we receive such a deep, profound message in our lives, whatever it is… it takes so much courage, it takes so much faith and trust because it shakes the foundation of who we think we are.” “I allowed myself, even though I was scared, the possibility of what wanted to come through, what wanted to be given to me.” “Just look at creation; you can see God.” Takeaways:We put so much responsibility on our parents to parent us wellLack of self-love and self-worth are so pervasiveWe are constantly changing and discovering ourselvesThere is power in acknowledging that you may not know it allWe are here to have experiencesThe heart’s wisdom is irrational to the mind and cannot be understood with the mindWe are so connected and for one person to witness another’s experience is healing for both peopleLove never dies, even if a relationship comes and goesWe often feel depressed when we are denying ourselves and who we areOur human brain cannot understand what God or Spirit isWe are a part of God; God is within usWhat you’ll learn:How Ana’s desire for a mother she didn’t have led her to self-love and reparenting herselfWhere we go wrong in our thinking when things don’t last like we thought they wouldHow to listen to your heart to know yourself, and what it sounds likeWhy we close off our hearts and stop feeling, and the ill effects of doing thisWhen Ana lost herself in tending to other people’s needs, and how she recovered herself by speaking her fearHow to connect to God even when you haven’t felt unconditional love from anyoneMentioned on the podcast: https://analauralevin.com/Links:FacebookInstagram

We must protect this planet as we protect our own eyes, and cherish Mother Nature the way we treasure life. We must preserve what gives our planet life and embrace green development.–We should pursue harmony between humanity and nature. Lush mountains, vast tracts of forest, blue skies, green fields, singing birds, and blossoming flowers offer more than visual beauty. They are the basis for our future development. Nature punishes those who exploit and plunder it brutally, and rewards those who use and protect it care-fully. We must maintain the overall balance of the Earth's ecosystems, not only to ensure that future generations can continue to access material wealth, but also to protect their right to enjoy the wonders of the natural world.–We ought to achieve economic prosperity through green development. Green is the color of nature. I have always said that clear waters and green mountains are invaluable assets, and that eco-environmental improvement leads to greater productivity.Healthy ecosystems promise boundless economic potential, generate steady returns, and contribute to economic and social sustainability.–We need to foster a love of nature. Well-measured exploration and use of resources is the key to eco-environmental progress. We should encourage a healthy lifestyle that is simple, green and low-carbon, and reject extravagant and excessive practices.Additionally, it is essential to raise people's awareness of environmental and ecological protection, and develop an environmental governance system in which the whole of society participates, so that the eco-environment will become a primary focus of daily life.We need to advocate the value of green development grounded in respect and care for nature so that blue skies, green fields and clear waters will be deeply cherished by all.–We should adopt a sound approach. In environmental governance we should follow the laws of nature, make holistic and well-informed plans, do what is appropriate in light of local circumstances, and create harmonious ecosystems in which all elements coexist in tandem with each other. Human wisdom is essential to sustaining the dynamism of the Earth, our common homeland. Although environmental governance is an arduous task, we will ultimately obtain the expected results as long as we take the right steps. We must press ahead with a sense of urgency and perseverance to achieve our goals.–We need to join hands to meet common challenges. A beautiful homeland is the shared aspiration of humanity. In the face of environmental challenges, all countries are a community with a common stake, and no country can remain aloof. Only together can we effectively address climate change, marine pollution, biological conservation, and other global environmental issues, and achieve the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Only concerted efforts can drive home the idea of green development and bring about steady progress in building a global eco-civilization.
3. Tips for Working at HomeOur work storyMatt is a professional entertainer, and travels for a living (most of the time). His show Buckets N Boards is a live stage comedy & percussion show. He and his business partner Gareth, perform on Disney Cruise Lines as a featured act, and in many performing arts centers and corporate events throughout the year.Dynae has been exclusively a WAHM for the past decade. She is a professional photographer, mentor and graphic designer at Dynae Levingston Photography.Recognize working from home is freaking hardLogistically, working from home is one of the hardest work environments. Especially when you add kids into the mix. There’s A LOT of distractions. Between ignoring housework Our 6 year old sneaks into content videos for work, and while we’re on Zoom calls. Matt talks specifically about a YouTube video he filmed, and didn’t realize she was in the background until after it was published. You can view that video here: Gravity Falls Theme by Buckets N Boards. How we manage it allWe try to have a dedicated space away from everyone else. Right now, we have turned a room in our unfinished basement into a makeshift office away from the kids.We set a schedule. The Google Calendar app helps our family tremendously.Time blocking. Having the schedule during the day and week for specific tasks keeps us on track. For example, after the kids are off to school, we have set times to return emails. Then specific times to edit photos or videos, do social media posts, etc. Blocking tasks throughout the day keeps the deadlines in check.Team work. We are super lucky that we have each other. And to make work and family time successful, we tag team the parent/household stuff. Like pickup/drop off at school, running them back and forth to activities, etc. We also have the whole family help with household chores, and even time block that with everyone having their own set tasks. We’re flexible. We understand that deadlines come up, and kids get sick, so sometimes that schedule has to change. We communicate if this happens, and when we might need the other to take over certain other aspect of the parenting gig. If you have to work after bedtime, sometimes that happens. We have boundaries. We have set work hours and we manage client expectations on communication up front. Nobody likes getting texts at 10pm for work. We’ve also scheduled days off. Family is super important to us, as well as our own mental health, and taking dedicated breaks away from work are so needed. Step Eleven Thought in the Unseen WorldLet us consider the influences of the Unseen World on human thought and emotion. Itmay be difficult for those who have not studied the subject to grasp the absolute reality of the forces of the Unseen World. In order to avoid doing harm unintentionally, and to use the unseen forces for good, we will consider some aspects.Step Twelve Record Audio Messages, Share with AllWe now discuss the manner in which a person speaks. If a person is writing or coding into a computer, the voice is not relevant. When the voice is used, there should be a degree of competence. As the people develop their telepathic gifts, Telepaths will appear on media channels and will be speaking telepathically...

Series: Christmas CarolsGood Christian Men, Rejoice!Luke 2:8-14 The attempt to find joy is a part of Christmas for almost everyone. However, Christmas joy is often a thin veneerlike wrapping paper. For joy to last, the source of joyhas to be sufficient. good Christian men, rejoice Christian joy is not circumstantial; it is rooted in our relationship with Christ. Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!Philippians 4:4 He is in the manger nowThroughout the Old Testament, there are numerous prophecies about a coming Messiah. The fact that a Messiah came reveals that Godkeeps His promises. We are “I hope” people. God is an “I will” God. He has opened heaven’s doorBecause of Jesus’ coming, a relationship with Godis possible. From the beginning, man has tried to reach God. Good work, religious exercise, increased knowledgeand moral efforthave all fallen short. God came down to usbecause it was impossible for us to get up to Him. A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.John 10:10 Kingsand wise mendo not precede the lowly in the kingdom. Everyone faces three questions: 1) Where do I come from? 2) Why am I here? 3) Where am I going? calls ye one and calls ye allWe have been commanded to share the gospel throughout the world. Christ is the exclusive path to heavenand lasting joy. Not everyonewill find joy in Christ, but no one can take awayour joy! Today’s Takeaway1. A relationship with God is possible.2. Jesus resists the proudand receives the humble.3. The task of sharing good news is entrusted to believers. 4. True joy is found in focusing on Christ.

Esther Gokhale has been involved in integrative therapies all her life. Her early interest in healing led her to study biochemistry at Harvard and Princeton and, later, acupuncture at the San Francisco School of Oriental Medicine. After experiencing crippling back pain after her first pregnancy and after an unsuccessful back surgery she later developed the Gokhale Method, a unique, systematic approach to help people find their bodies’ way back to pain-free living.Ester’s book, 8 Steps to a Pain-Free Back, has sold over 100,000 copies and has been translated into eight languages.https://shop.gokhalemethod.com/collections/allWe talked about Esther’s journey with back pain and how this inspired her to create the Gokhale Method and how our genetic and cultural heritage relates to the postural guidelines we’ve inherited and live by today. Esther also touches upon the idea that it’s time we change the way we approach athletics and the consequences that athletes face with back and neck health down the road. How our social norms and poorly designed furniture have dictated our postural norms and how we can change that by revisiting our ancestral heritage and way of life. Esther also shares with us her simple steps to back pain relief and how you can incorporate it in your everyday life.Connect with Esther at:http://www.gokhalemethod.comSubscribe to our podcast & leave a great review:https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/integrate-yourself-with-allison-maja/id1203490106?mt=2Connect with Allison at:https://www.pureenergypdx.com/personal-training-servicesConnect with Maja:http://www.majagottlieb.com/Support our podcast and get integrated into our community:http://www.patreon.com/integrateyourself/Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/integrateyourself)
有声英语少儿童话故事 绿野仙踪 第12卷 第16章“We dare not harm this little girl,” he said to them, “for she isprotected by the Power of Good, and that is greater than the Power of Evil. Allwe can do is to carry her to the castle of the Wicked Witch and leave herthere.”So, carefully and gently, they lifted Dorothy in their arms andcarried her swiftly through the air until they came to the castle, where theyset her down upon the front doorstep. Then the leader said to the Witch:“We have obeyed you as far as we were able. The Tin Woodman andthe Scarecrow are destroyed, and the Lion is tied up in your yard. The littlegirl we dare not harm, nor the dog she carries in her arms. Your power over ourband is now ended, and you will never see us again.”
