Our card this week is Bobby Ray Jones, the 8 of Clubs from Florida.Bobby Ray Jones had just moved back to Walton County, Florida, in the late summer of 1971. It was a rebirth-of-sorts for this 33-year-old man. After getting caught up in a love affair and running off to Alabama, he had only recently returned to the sunshine state to try and reconcile with his wife. And seemingly, he was on track to do just that. He had already found a new job and a place to stay. Things were starting to turn around. So much so, that on September 29th, he even told his “mama” she had no reason to worry about him… and that he didn't have “an enemy in the world.” But the very next morning, Bobby Ray was murdered… If you have any information about the death of Bobby Ray Jones in Darlington, FL, in 1971, please call the Walton County Sheriff's Office at 850-892-8111, or remain anonymous by calling the Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS (8477) View source material and photos for this episode at: thedeckpodcast.com/bobby-ray-jones/ Let us deal you in… follow The Deck on social media.Instagram: @thedeckpodcast | @audiochuckTwitter: @thedeckpodcast_ | @audiochuckFacebook: /TheDeckPodcast | /audiochuckllcTo apply for a Cold Case Playing Card grant through Season of Justice, please visit www.seasonofjustice.org The Deck is hosted by Ashley Flowers. Our coverage of horror comics continues this October with Rich Douek and Alex Cormack chatting about their newest series with Dark Horse Comics, Drive Like Hell. Issue #1 hits your LCS on October 25th and it's a banger. Drive Like Hell tells the story of Bobby Ray and Dahlia as they pull one last bank heist before driving off into the sunset, Only the glow ahead is actually the fires of eternal damnation. Drive Like Hell is Smokey and the Bandit meets Supernatural. Anyone familiar with Road of Bones, Sea of Sorrows, or Breath of Shadows (and you really need to read those) knows what a fantastic creative team Rich and Alex are together. They are joined by letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou this time and have crafted a fun, fast-paced, heist plus getaway, devil-infused comic and I absolutely loved it. This week we have the absolute honour of chatting with Ness Galleghan a Mum to five children within her blended family, and Mother of Bobby who is currently undergoing treatment for a rare form of Leukaemia. Just around Bobby's second birthday, about 17 months ago, he was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer; T-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. This turned their families world upside down, and both Ness and her partner have stopped working to care for Bobby and their other children. This is a really beautiful, raw and honest chat about navigating treatments and illness as a family, and Ness's tips for anyone else who may be going through something similar. A really amazing listen for everyone to share more awareness on how to best support other families in this situation, and to above all else treat others with kindness. A huge thank you to Ness for sharing her story with us. You can follow Ness and Bobby's story on instagram @charlie_eddie_bobby You can purchase some of the amazing hats from Bobby Ray at www.bobbyray.com.au To help ease the burden for this beautiful family, you can send a donation to their go fund me page here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/kwrkzt-help-ease-the-financial-burden?utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link_all&utm_source=customerSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Bobby Ray Jones Jr. grew up in a two-parent household in Compton, CA. In this episode, I talk with him about how home, sports, academics, and being an introvert all helped keep him busy and out of trouble in his youth. Bobby excelled first in track, then in basketball. At the legendary Dominguez High School, he overlapped three years with Tyson Chandler. During Bobby's time, Dominguez won three state titles and, in 2000, the national championship. It was there that he first honed his skills on defense and as a team player; he went on to play for coach and mentor Lorenzo Romar at the University of Washington. He shares about his experience being drafted into the NBA, and we talk about travel and his years playing professionally in Italy. Finally, he talks about the value and importance of giving back to his community. Bobby is now a full-time yoga practitioner and teaches yoga to kids in his hometown.https://www.bobbyrayjonesjr.com

We are so close to leaving paradise on our 2nd half of the penultimate episode of "Paradise Hotel"! On this week's episode of "TV Talk", Brandon tries to order room service, the houseguests participate in a challenge, and Lukas makes up words for our hottie ratings. Get ready for an episode that pits new and former couples against each other in challenges, and in a scramble to form relationships for the end of their time here in paradise. Oh, and apparently this is the last checkout ceremony left. We literally have no clue how the rest of the houseguests will be narrowed down to the winners, but I guess we will have to find out. Why does Bobby Ray flip out at Tatum? Do you really not have ANY passions if you love things? And what is the actual number for room service in paradise? Tune in this week to find out all this and more, but only on "The Good, The Bad, & The Movies"! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/tgtbtm/message
Big week on "TV Talk"! Double elimination and we are losing OG houseguests. Also, breaking news... Carlos is a sleaze bag and Tatum is a real slimy friend and girlfriend. But I think we kinda knew those things already. Let's take some time away from the Tyler drama this episode, and get into all the drama of the full house again. New people get to come into the house, but not just guys or girls. We get them all! Hot bods are entering left and right and it is almost too much to handle in the house. Which girl does Carlos keep around in the house? How romantic did Bobby Ray make his first time having sex with Tatum? And what role did Lukas play in his elementary school performance of "The Sound of Music"? One of the biggest leaks in the UFO community starting in the 1980s, was the story of MJ-12. It was the rumored control group formed by President Truman for controlling the UFO subject information starting in 1947. The existence of this group has been very controversial, despite the fact that there is a lot of supporting evidence. I detailed numerous people who had talked about MJ-12 in my book UFOs, Area 51, and Government Informants. In this podcast I look at a series of high level people who talked about this control group, and I add an audio that was done with Admiral Bobby Ray Inman, who was Director of Naval Intelligence from September 1974 to July 1976, then moved to the Defense Intelligence Agency where he served as vice director until 1977. He next became the director of the National Security Agency. The interviewer was Bob Oechsler who was a NASA engineer and UFO researcher for many decades. In the interview you will hear a conversation about MJ-12, and the UFO data they were rumored to have controlled. The conversation took place on phone but was arranged in May 1988, at a ground-breaking ceremony for the National Security Agency's new supercomputer facility for the Institute for Defense Analyses, of which Inman was a former director. With episode 19 comes great responsibility. A responsibility to LISTEN! Our delicate hosts take some time this episode to talk about how Drake is human, just like all of us. He may be unfathomably wealthy and privileged, but human, nonetheless. The hosts then talk about how problematic Arkansas's new abortion law could be, why shopping cart etiquette can reveal if someone is a good person or not, before diving into which two fast food stops they would put in the same building, a la Taco Bell and KFC or Tim Horton's and ColdStone Creamery. They also take a journey down the feed of Instagram's own @SiblingsorDating. Which is just... exactly as it seems. Unity 101 in conversation with the three Womack Sisters. BG, Zeimani and Kucha, three gifted, soulful siblings who make up The Womack Sisters. Daughters of the renown songwriters, producers and multi platinum recording artists Cecil and Linda Womack (of Womack & Womack); Nieces of singer, songwriter and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Bobby Womack and Granddaughters of the legendary Grammy Lifetime Achievement award winner Sam Cooke. The Womack Sisters have inherited the legacy of music giants and declared themselves the rightful bearers of the royal scepter of soul troubadour. When these gifted and equally beautiful young women lift their voices to sing, we the listeners can do but one thing... Bow Down! Not Womack in name only, The Womack Sisters and the real deal. They are the living embodiment of Soul and R&B music. It's fair to say, The Womack Sisters have good music implanted in their DNA. The second eldest, second youngest and the middle child of seven other siblings compose this bubbly sophisticated young singing trio. They are also the best of friends, they finish each other's thoughts and are as close as sisters could be, due in part to their extraordinary upbringing. Their father, Cecil was an incredibly focused and intellectual man, tiring of the politics of the American music industry,Cecil and Linda left the USA and moved to the UK in the mid 1980's. Thus began a lifetime of travel, moving again to Europe, Asia, and Africa. The sisters stayed close, they were homeschooled and got used to a lifestyle of heavy travel, where they encountered somewhere new every six months or so.It wasn't long before Cecil brought his children into his music, the girls were taught the ropes at an early age, not just writing, but production, and publishing, he wanted his children to understand the business of the music business. Looking back now the sisters are ever grateful for the gifts they were given, what they missed in High School and Boyfriends they made up for with incredible life experience; the sheep farm in Dublin, the water well in Kenya, the rural village in Tanzania overlooking Kilimanjaro, and their longest memory of all; London. Also performing to crowds of 10,000 plus, working with the Rolling Stones, Kid Rock, Ozzy Osborne,Annie Lennox and many more, are all in their own way life changing moments that have crafted the sound, the feel and the depth of The Womack Sisters.Making their home in Los Angeles, the girls have been busy writing and recording, featuring on the 7xGrammy nominated Billboard #1 album "The Adventures of Bobby Ray" by B.O.B, and writing songs for double platinum recording artist The Game. The Womack Sisters have a long lineage of timeless musical history to draw strength from and a bond between them that is as unshakable and as strong as the music they create.

After a week off, the Rap Takes Podcast is back with a new episode about B.o.B's debut album, B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray. While the title of the project is redundant, the music isn't as B.o.B jumps between genres throughout this project. Listen to us discuss the rapper's debut album and where his career has gone since then.
In this episode featuring Bobby Ray Jones, I talk with him about what it was like growing up in Compton and dealing with gangs, the story behind him playing for 5 NBA teams in one season, and how he produced a documentary while playing professional basketball overseas.

We had everyones favorite boxing analyst Snoop EZ in the house hanging out hot off the Floyd Mayweather Sr. interview to talk everything from the tight jeans trend to indie artists. Although the liquor got us there quicker than we anticipated, all was good. Although we didnt get to the Stash Box this week, we had Playboy Tre who also threw B.o.B. aka Bobby Ray on the phone for a quick second. Good show and some GREAT music. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

This guy from ATL is TALENTED. Featured as one of the top freshmen in hip hop in 2009, Bobby Ray is creating a lot of buzz with his live concerts and singles with staying power. This song apparently is a promotion for some Reeboks but it samples Bonita Applebaum so I'm OK with that.
