How Coaching Can Transform Your Life: An Interview with Master Coach Molly Claire

Four years ago I found a coach, and from that moment the transformation began.   No longer did I believe that living with anxiety would keep me from progressing and becoming the person I am meant to become.  There is so much more to me than my anxiety, and my coach showed me that we all have limitless possibilities to grow and progress and create the life we want.  It's truly within each of us.  I needed a coach to help me see it for myself.    Coaching has  truly changed my life.  So much so that I want to shout it from the rooftops and share it with everyone I know!  But rather than getting on top of my roof everyday, I decided to become a Life Coach instead, with my mission to help you realize what I did four years ago.  I have had the privilege to train with Molly Claire, Certified Master Coach and instructor,  as well as be part of her Business Coaching program, The Coaching Collective. She is an amazing coach. I have invited Molly to join me in discussing how Life Coaching can transform your life.  She will share her own journey with Life Coaching and then we will discuss  a  Life Coach's role and  how everyone (yes, everyone) can benefit from having a coach.  We will also explore how, as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we both have witnessed how the remarkable tools from coaching go hand in hand with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Her enthusiasm and passion for what she does truly emanates from her. Whether you are needing help in managing your own anxiety, or buiding a business, we both agree that having a life coach is so empowering and makes everything in life better.   You won't want to miss this episode!   When you a ready to get the help you want and need, get on my calendar and schedule a coaching session with me.  https://coachwithangela.as.me/To find out more about Molly Claire and The Coaching Collective, visit:https://mollyclaire.com/https://mollyclaire.com/thecoachingcollective/

Ever-increasing self-trust builds upon itself, yielding confidence and increased ability to tackle dreams and make them reality. The authenticity that results from healthy self-trust nurtures strong bonds with clients, boosting their own self-trust and success. In turn, that deep trust brings you long term coaching business success and fulfillment. True fulfillment is a perpetual gift, in that what you do serves both your clients and yourself. Self-trust is foundational to crafting and nurturing an intentional life of peace and alignment. As you master decision-making, you master releasing permission into yourself to forge the path that's right for you. In this episode, which is Part 4 of my 6-week series: “The Big Whys”, I dive into the topic of self-trust. It's one that is near and dear to my heart, as I have witnessed it make such an impact in the lives of strong, powerful women. I've experienced it firsthand. If you join Aimée Gianni and me in The Coaching Collective, which I hope you will, you'll find that self-trust is woven throughout the six-month program. It's that important. Speaking of The Coaching Collective, enrollment opens soon! In the meantime, I encourage you to go back and listen to any (and all) of the first four episodes of “The Big Whys” series. Each episode is a glimpse into a topic we go in-depth into in The Coaching Collective. In Part 1, I focused on how to master your coaching, and in Part 2, how to create your ideal life. I followed that up with Part 3: designing a unique business. Finally, Part 4 was a look into connecting with the right community, as four lovely members of The Coaching Collective Community all shared their personal experiences. In addition to these “The Big Whys” series episodes, I recommend these three additional podcast episodes specifically about self-trust: Business Mastery: Self-Belief As Fuel Interview with Andrea Giles: Self-Trust for Business Mastery Meet The Coaches: A Mentor Coach's Journey What You'll Learn What does self-trust mean to you? In coaching, especially, there is a high level of independence and self-direction so community can end up secondary to other business aspects. But connection and community are integral parts to your business success. They can go a long way to relieving the pressure you may feel to do everything alone, to figure everything out yourself. That powerful support system cannot be overemphasized. We all need one another. For this episode, which is Part 4 of my 6-week series: “The Big Whys”, I asked four members of The Coaching Collective for their thoughts on community and support. It can be tempting, or you may even feel pressured, to do everything alone, to figure everything out yourself. But a powerful support system cannot be overemphasized. We all need one another to succeed. Understanding what kind of community is right for you is key. Not every community meets the needs of every coach. In this episode, I share my thoughts and advice, and I ask four members of The Coaching Collective for theirs. Relationships are a major factor in coaching any client. Relationships affect quality of life, which affects your clients' businesses. Even if it's not what you're focusing on, relationships should be positively addressed at appropriate points during your coaching. But how do you know the best approach to addressing relationships? How do you know what to say? How do you overcome your own insecurities? And, more importantly, how do you avoid making mistakes? These questions and more are what my business partner, Aimée Gianni, and I talk about in this podcast episode. Aimée also happens to my sister, so we can definitely speak from a place of nurturing a simultaneous personal and business relationship. What You'll Learn What Aimée and I use with our coaching clients... How to start: The foundation to addressing relationships The Untangling Stage: looking at the individuals Coaching individuals to take responsibility, shift responsibility, become self-aware, and then come back together The mistake of hurried or incomplete untangling and reconnection How to move forward: Setting a destination How to have an end goal that motivates relationship work The mistake of not feeding hope and pointing out progress How to have coaching tool effectiveness: Getting unstuck The mistake of putting the tool before the client How to be ready to pivot at any moment The mistake of over-asserting experience into your coaching Mistakes Aimée and I have made in relationship dynamics and coaching… Stopping too soon The mistake of not realizing there is more, another step to connection The mistake of being hyper-attentive to one tool or one approach Going down the wrong road or an ineffective path with a client How to refocus and stay curious How to pause discouraging thought patterns Giving place to insecurities (aka a fraud complex) The mistake of believing you have to be perfect before you can help others How to mentally reframe what you do How to embrace your personal relationship work to make you a better coach How to instill both confidence in yourself and competence in your coaching Contact Info and Recommended Resources Aimée C. Gianni, M.S. Aimée Gianni is a seasoned marriage and family therapist, with over 25 years' experience. If you struggle with confidence or competence as a coach, it can feel like your dream business won't succeed. But it's really not a problem to have some feelings of uncertainty. Your self-assurance can always be improved. Just the act of engaging in bettering yourself and your business proves you have some level of confidence. You need only to build on that. When it comes to competence, it's no different. You can build your knowledge. You can improve your skills.  But how do you know if you've got too much of one and not enough of the other? Somewhere in the midst of mixing confidence and competence, lies the ‘magic sauce' of coaching everyone wants. In this episode, I discuss this necessary -- and achievable -- balance.   What You'll Learn Confidence -- your level of self-assurance Self-worth: Recognizing what you believe your inherent value is (and where it comes from) Self-esteem: Admitting what you believe others think about you (and how much you're relying on that) Self-confidence: Identifying your assurance in your abilities and capabilities (and where you feel less sure) How to take stock and use your stronger areas to both improve your weaker ones and grow your business Competence -- your level of skills, knowledge and expertise Driven by confidence, determination and commitment Approach 1: Fake it ‘til you make it -- jumps right in, relying on confidence Approach 2: Perfection delay -- holding back indefinitely Approach 3: Building and working where you are -- while increasing your skills Identify specific areas you need to master and areas you've already mastered The ‘Magic Sauce' of mixing confidence and competence How each propels you forward in boldness toward the other How to improve each quality using specific actions How to step into belief Contact Info and Recommended Resources Aimee Gianni, M.S. -- Master Coach and Co-Founder with me of The Coaching Collective.
