We have a college instructor on this week's show! Brian Gordon is an old friend of mine from years ago, he works full time for the largest appraisal company in Canada, if not North America in Management. Prior to that he worked as a Senior Property Tax Analyst for one of Canada's largest REITs, if not the biggest. Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/brigor/ Brian has been methodically growing his own real estate portfolio over 7 years consisting of duplexes, a AirBnb in Blue Mountain, more recently an 11 plex development where he's adding two additional units. As mentioned Brian is the course creator and instructor of “Real Estate Investment Strategies” at George Brown College, a comprehensive, yet affordable course which is one of the big reasons why I wanted him on the show. Real estate investing is largely about return on investment and that includes one's education. This course is only $392.24 for 20 hours including private 1 on 1 consultation time with Brian. What an absolute steal. Link: https://coned.georgebrown.ca/courses-and-programs/real-estate-investment-strategies-online Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed recording this episode for you all to learn Brian's tips and tricks so we may all improve our own businesses and you'll want to hear about where Brian's next investments will be and his views on Canadian opportunities. Please enjoy the show! Follow Brian on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/acquiring_wisdom/

Tom Valone, Ph.D., P.E., is a retired Patent Examiner who has specialized in Future Energy technologies developed by Nikola Tesla and other inventors since 1984 when he gained his Masters Degree in Engineering Physics. He worked as a College Instructor in Physics, Robotics and Engineering Physics and earned his Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in 1990. He began working as a Patent Examiner at the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in 1996. In 1999, Dr. Valone organized his first Conferences on Future Energy that was scheduled to be held at the US State Department, but led to media controversy when one of the scheduled presenters was to speak about the viability of Cold Fusion technology. The resulting Cold Fusion controversy led to the State Department officially withdrawing its support, forcing the Conference to be relocated to another venue, and his sacking by the USPTO. This led to a six year legal battle, which resulted in him being eventually reinstated in 2005, after gaining his Ph.D. in General Engineering. Dr Valone retired in 2017 after a 20 year career at the USPTO as a federal employee, and began working full time at his non-government organization, the Integrity Research Institute. He has written or edited multiple books dealing with Nikola Tesla, electrogravitic propulsion, electrotherapy, and zero point energy. He has personally invented or assisted in the invention of many breakthrough technologies, which are available at the Integrity Research Institute. In this interview with Dr. Michael Salla, Dr. Valone discusses how he became interested in Future Energy, Nikola Tesla, a century of suppression of breakthrough technologies, the role of the USPTO in this suppression, the controversy over his 1999 Conferences on Future Energy, the creation of his Integrity Research Institute, and some of the breakthrough electrogravitic propulsion, electrotherapy, and zero point energy inventions he has personally worked on or whose development he has supported. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/exopolitics/support

I really have no idea what I want to do after I graduate. This statement is one of the most common I hear from students as a College Instructor. This podcast discusses higher education, the benefits, and pitfalls, the idea of taking a GAP year to discover a future track, analyzing technical or vocational opportunities, as well as the military and options for the 'creative free-spirits.' There are intense pressures applied to high school seniors from parents, peer groups, and even society to conform; however, if we are honest, a perfectly straight line from high school to choosing a major, to a degree, to career success, to retirement is, for nearly all in society, a pipe dream, a facade, and an unrealistic expectation. This podcast puts in context options, things to consider, and a roadmap for each student to find their own path.

Jay Parkes and Dawn Zimmaro discuss their book The College Classroom Assessment Compendium: A Practical Guide to the College Instructor’s Daily Assessment Life on episode 205 of the Teaching in Higher Ed podcast.
The question this week is … what is it exactly that you think is going to make you happy? Over and over again, I’m hearing stories of people who find - often after some time and a lot of struggle - that the answer to that question is not often found by acquiring or attracting anything outside of yourself … .but rather allowed by fully embracing who you already are. Such is the case with this week’s guest, Lori Peters. In this episode, we talk about happiness and relationships on many different levels. I know countless people who have felt - or currently feel - hopeless, for one reason or another. I’ve been there too. So whether we’re arrived at that place or not, how do we move forward to find and embrace happiness; true and lasting joy and contentment? Lori Peters has a great story to tell that I think you’re really going to enjoy. Lori is the author of “Getting Married At Last: My Journey From Hopelessness To Happiness”. She has been published and featured in several media outlets including Huffington Post, Your Tango, Brides, Fox News Magazine and more. She is also the host of the “Happiness Hangout®” Radio Show, which has gained thousands of listeners as she and her guests dive into deep and interesting topics around personal relationship happiness and well-being. Lori has enjoyed 25-year career in higher education, currently, teaching as a College Instructor in social sciences. She has been doing personal development presentations for over 25 years. Lori is passionate about work-life balance, relationships, and helping people to feel their best during times of challenge, and she has a wonderful story and perspective to share. Just some of the key things I took from this conversation with Lori include: Unleashing creativity - I chuckled when she said she was worried she would have to learn to draw. I'm big on people finding themselves through expressing their unique voice, which is creativity. That doesn’t mean you have to draw, or dance, or sing. It means to just be yourself. Balance - Her favorite word, and an easy thing to talk about but a tough thing to find and maintain. The value and completeness of self-love - Lori said, “I couldn't have the ultimate relationship until they accepted the entirety of who I am.” I hope people read/hear and truly contemplate and understand that. The best way to love others - and be loved by others - is to love yourself. So often we look for something or someone outside of ourselves to come along and make everything right. The perfect partner, the perfect job, the perfect house. Here is yet another story that provides evidence that once you can be completely at peace with who you already are, all the other things in your life start to line up. ©2017 Kevin Bulmer Enterprises
