Nesta meditação, partimos da festa da Epifania para refletir sobre uma atitude fundamental da vida cristã e do discernimento vocacional: aprender a navegar o mistério da vida.A partir de um episódio simples do cotidiano, da contemplação da natureza e do conceito de awe (admiração profunda), somos convidados a recuperar algo que nossa cultura hipercontroladora tende a perder: a capacidade de nos deixarmos surpreender pela realidade e pela ação de Deus. Confira:  Hoje é o dia da Epifania do Senhor e o celebramos com a canção “Três reis magos do Oriente a sós” (HL 564), lembrando a sua visita ao menino Jesus. No entanto, eles não eram reis e nem do Extremo Oriente (antes, só Oriente). Também é improvável que fossem apenas três. No entanto, sabemos que foram três presentes, e a música cita cada um deles. Quando os magos chegaram a Belém, “abriram seus tesouros e o presentearam com ouro, incenso e mirra” (MATEUS 2:11). Os presentes simbolizam a missão de Jesus. O ouro representa Seu papel como Rei. O incenso, misturado ao incenso queimado no santuário, fala da Sua divindade. A mirra, usada para embalsamar cadáveres, faz-nos refletir. Os versos da canção demonstram que “a mirra de agreste odor pertence a Jesus; o brilho da estrela nos conduz. Tristeza, suspiros, sangue e morte estão selados na fria pedra do túmulo” (tradução livre). Nós não escreveríamos tal cena na história, mas Deus a escreveu. A morte de Jesus foi fundamental para nossa salvação. Até mesmo Herodes tentou matar Jesus quando Ele ainda era criança (v.13). O penúltimo verso da canção une os três temas: “Rei glorioso, bendito Deus / Sacrifício aos pecados meus”. Celebramos la Solemnidad  de la EPIFANÍA DEL SEÑOR, O MANIFESTACIÓN DE DIOS.  Y esta manifestación de Dios se realiza a través de las cosas sencillas de nuestra vida diaria en sintonía con el Evangelio, dentro de un ambiente de Sencillez, confianza y esperanza y así nuestra vida se va transformando  a medida que nos dejamos iluminar por la luz de Cristo que nos viene a través de la Palabra de Dios y de la Eucaristía. El Evangelio hoy nos habla de una estrella que solo ven los magos paganos  oculta a los sabios y poderosos de Israel. Recordemos que Dios revela sus secretos a los sencillos y a los humildes quienes saben estar atentos a  la luz de la estrella que va apareciendo en sus vidas escondidas y silenciosas. Hoy más que nunca necesitamos la luz de la estrella y la alegría cristiana que nace de la fe, para vivir cada día con esperanza la salvación  de Dios con nosotros y entre nosotros. Debemos vencer la desilusión y el desencanto. Empezando cada mañana  con el propósito de construir con nuestro testimonio diario, un mundo más humano, más en paz y más fraterno, viviendo nuestra vocación cristiana que por su naturaleza es vocación misionera.
