Welcome to the 22nd sermon in our series on the overall story of the Bible. (22 of 23) The Bible is filled with a whole lot of characters and stories that ultimately tell one big story. We believe the Bible ultimately tells the story of God...and we're all included! This grand story is the story we tell every week when we gather: God Created the world and it was good and we enjoyed perfect relationship with God. In Genesis 3, however, mankind Rebelled against God and from that, everything fell apart. God made a covenant, made many covenants that He, alone would be faithful to keep. And, through Jesus, He will Redeem His people! One day, God, through Christ, will Restore all things, he will make the world right again. God, one day, will make His glories known as far as the curse has reached. Starting this Sunday, we will look more in depth at this whole story.

The Lord Jesus is the cornerstone of the church. The Church of Jesus Christ is God's visible people on earth that brings glory to God's name. It is vital for all Christians to be a part of a local body of believers near their homes. The local church is a body where we get to exercise our gifts and abilities in the local church for the glory of God, for the good of God's people and for the benefit of our own walk with Jesus Christ.   Scripture Reference: 1 Peter 2:4-10

In the Tanakh (the Hebrew Scriptures), the Bible tells us in Proverbs 13:20 "He who walks with wise men shall be wise, but a companion of fools shall be destroyed." If you want to improve your intellect, your acumen, the interaction of your intelligence, plus augment your intellectual abilities ... then choose out WISE associates. I pray for myself and my children (to the 4th Generation) every day that God will give us His choice of associates. My friend, you should want only God's choice of associates for you. That doesn't mean you don't love other people. That doesn't mean you don't interact with people other than your close associates―those that are your KEY associates―but you want your KEY associates to be God's choice for you. Years ago, when I first started a nonprofit corporation, I prayed that God would lead me in the selection of Directors. I had several Directors through the years, and every one of them was a Godly person. However, I remember three in particular. One was named Ed Lindquist. He had been associated with a large advertising agency in Detroit (USA), and they did lots of advertising for Ford Motor Company. Ed Lindquist is Co-Founder of EXPAT Marketing Group centered in Ecuador. Another of my Associates was Al Hagen, who was Director of Marketing and Advertising for Toyota in the United States. I held Bible studies in Al Hagen's home, as well as our friend Hiroshi Imai. One time while teaching in Hiroshi's home I asked him privately to remove the Buddha idol in his living room, as it would be offensive to God. He obeyed, and God manifested His healing power. A lady with a tumor on her wrist the size of a golf ball was sitting on the stairway leading to the second floor (the house was filled with so many people). The LORD Jesus healed her and instantly the tumor dissolved. After Mr. Imai had seen the MIRACLE working power of God, the next day he went out to the garage where he had taken the Buddha idol to destroy it. When he destroyed the Buddha idol with a hammer, he heard the voices of demons crying out. Another of my Directors was Magdi Girgis, (Mike Girgis)―my close Egyptian friend―whose father was one of the third wealthiest men in Egypt. His father had more political power than Gamal Abdel Nasser did when he was President of Egypt. My friend Magdi had to be smuggled out of Egypt because he became a Christian and they had him on the blacklist for "trying to Christianize the nation." He finally paid some Druze to transport him through Syria ... and finally he was able to obtain citizenship in USA. Magdy Girgis was educated and was an engineer, but he couldn't get a job in USA because he had never worked. He had no work experience. He was wealthy. His family had a stable of 18 automobiles at their home, and his father was third wealthiest man in Egypt. The first job Magdy Girgis worked in USA was cleaning out restrooms in gasoline (petrol) stations. But ultimately he finally got work and became an engineer with Hughes Aircraft. These three Directors were KEY asociates to me. We didn't spend a lot of time together, but the time we spent was very critical and crucial. Ed Linquist gave a large contribution to our corporation; however, I gave it back to him and I told him, "Ed, for some reason God wants me to give this money back to you." It's important to obey the Holy Spirit. Money isn't everything. The whole world is not about money. The whole world is about God. "You cannot serve God and mammon (money)." That scripture informs us to put God first. There's nothing evil with money … just like there's nothing evil with television. It's what you do with it that's important. The Bible never says money is evil. It says, “the LOVE of money is the root of all evil.” So I listened to God and gave that money back to Ed Lindquist, and he used it to start his own corporation which was very successful with the LORD's blessing. You see, the money was NOT for the corporation of which I was President (and still am). We need to be sensitive. We need to discern the will of God in matters. We need to also discern what God wants us to receive and what God does NOT want us to receive. Every day, I ask God to give me discernment over people, things and situations. You need discernment, my friend, because IF you are a Believer in Messiah Jesus, YOU are “in the world, but not of it.” If you know the LORD, if you've received Yeshua as your Messiah―been born again (the Spirit of God lives in you)―you are in the world, but NOT of the world (John 17:6-16). So you need God's discernment. You need the discernment of the Holy Spirit! I had felt led to start a non-profit corporation as a result of a vision I had while I was preaching in the open air one time. It was not an ocular vision, but a mental vision. I had such a great anointing on me (probably been fasting). While I was preaching my heart was crying out to God. I was reaching multitudes―reaching thousands just that day―ministering in the open air. But my heart was crying out. “Lord, how can I reach the whole world?” God spoke to me while I was preaching to those crowds. God answered me, “Through the media.” So I started a corporation named Ruach Advertising. Ruach in Hebrew means “spirit.” I had different ideas … plus the LORD gave me different ideas. Remember, in the last two podcasts we talked about being a good steward of ideas. We talked also about IDEAS and MIRACLES. In this podcast teaching we're talking about IDEAS and ASSOCIATES. One time I had an idea concerning “Billboards for Jesus.” That IDEA pertained to supplying people with blueprints and building instructions for putting up their own billboards. The Lord gave me this idea, but I didn't really know how to implement it, so I called together a group of men. Mike Girgis came together with several other men and several engineers from Hughes Aircraft. One of the men at Hughes Aircraft in the engineering department was also a cartoonist. I shared my idea with them. We met only for about an hour; but at the close of the meeting each man had a different assignment to do. We met again in two weeks, and it was fantastic what these men put together. As a result, I now had seven different plans for “Do-it-yourself” billboards, and these were all engineered for safety. I contacted another Spirit-filled engineer who was head of the Placentia, California Planning Department; he was a Civil Engineer. He approved these plans and put his stamp of approval on them and certified them. They were all safe and sound. And so we had a “Mini Plan” … a “Maxi Plan” … and several sizes in between. People could choose which plans they wanted to use, and these plans were a success. The cartoonist had put together a brochure describing the plans, and how people could reach multitudes for Christ in their own community with the billboards. It was a tremendous brochure: a beautiful brochure of each model plan with the sizes and so forth. Also, the cartoonist did lots of good artwork in between model plans on each of the pages. I remember a retired Lieutenant Colonel US Air Force Officer received one of the brochures in the state of Maine (in New England), and he financed five billboards for the Lord in his own area. These billboards were a great success. After a short period of time I received a communication from a Hispanic Pastor in downtown Los Angeles who pastored a church at a critical junction of TWO freeways: the Harbor Freeway and the Santa Monica Freeway. These two freeways join right in the KEY hub of the downtown L.A. Metroplex. He wanted to put up a billboard there on top of the church roof! So I went to meet with him. As a resultof that meeting I had special plans drawn up for this billboard. Now this sign required a special light 24 feet long (about eight meters long) to enable the billboard to be lighted at night. I found only one place that had a light this size that I could utilize for this particular design. It was a company in the State of Utah, in the Western part of the United States. So I ordered the sign. I don't remember if I made a down payment or deposit, but the sign was very expensive. I did NOT have the money. The day the payment was due for the sign―nobody knew that I owed this money―the money came in to either the penny or the dollar to pay the total amount for this sign. We had the light shipped to Los Angeles where we would be constructing the sign. The sign was ready to be built on top of the Church. So the sign was ready to go on top of this big giant billboard in downtown Los Angeles. But I had to get the plans approved by the city (after already spending the money for the sign and the light). One of my friends, Wally Hage (I conducted a Bible study in his home), held a very high position at Pacific Telephone Corporation in USA. He went with me to the Planning Commission in Los Angeles just to “tag along” and see what MIRACLES the LORD would do! So my friend Wally Hage from Pacific Bell Telephone went with me to the Planning Commission in Los Angeles. I think we were on the third floor or fifth floor, I don't remember. And the Planning Engineer looks at our plans and says, “You can't do this.” I already had a lot of time and expense in the project. He said, “These plans violate Los Angeles Building Codes and Planning Laws five different ways.” First of all, on a sign at that location the wording could only have “I.D.” In other words, the identification of the sign, or name of the entiry upon which it was placed. You could NOT just put up any message. The message on this sign for which we were applying for a permit was very plain. It had a Star of David and it said, “Messiah Jesus is God our Salvation.” [Remember, some of the wealthiest Jews in the world at that time passed by this location on their way to Hollywood, Brentwood, and Beverly Hills daily―hardly moving in their automobiles due to backed up traffic at times.] The sign also violated the city codes because there was an ordinance that specified the sign could not be nearer than so many feet to the freeway. Our sign was just “hugging” right up against the freeway and overhead. Also because of the lighting AND the size of the sign, there was also a zoning restriction against it (they were trying NOT to get too many signs in that particular area). Our sign (the plans) violated FIVE (5) city planning and building codes. This is where I learned, “Never take 'NO' for an answer!” So the Planning Engineer told me, “You cannot do this. It violates the Codes and the Covenants five different ways.” I just looked at him. My friend Wally Hagy, the executive from Pacific Bell, was standing beside me. He learned a great lesson that day. He was just kind of tagging along with me; he liked to travel around with me. I just stared at the Planning Engineer behind the counter at the Zoning Commission. I didn't say anything. I just looked at him. I didn't say one word. I don't know how much time went by. Finally, the Planning Engineer said, “Let me go upstairs and check with someone.” I don't know how long it was: 20 minutes or 30 minutes. The Planning Engineer finally came back down ... and he said, “It's all approved.” Praise God! I want to tell you, my friend Wally Hage almost had a heart attack right there. He told me later, “I have never seen not only such a miracle, but such a series of miracles in so short a time.” He said, “This was an impossibility. Five different ways!” My friend, God is the God of the IMpossible. In Jeremiah Chapter 32 27 in the Tanakh we read, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Nothing is too hard for me.” So my friend ... never take “NO” for an answer IF you are serving the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. So the billboard went up … and that billboard for several years reached multiplied millions of people. Tens of thousands every day and multiplied millions of people through the years, day and night. What I didn't tell you was, at that particular place where this billboard was … in key traffic time―not only morning, but evening and even throughout the middle part of the day―traffic would just creep around―foot by foot―around this sign because there was a 'traffic bottleneck' there. People would SEE this sign with the Star of David that said, “Messiah Jesus is God our Salvation.” And as I mentioned previously, this was a particular area where some of the wealthiest Jews in the world had to travel by every day. This was the main thoroughfare from downtown Los Angeles as it turned off going out to Westwood, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, and Brentwood. So when God gives you an IDEA, you need to make sure you are a good steward of that IDEA. ~  ~  ~ When God gives you an IDEA, there will be MIRACLES attached to it. There will be an ANOINTING on that IDEA resident in―or upon―that idea by the Holy Spirit: MIRACLES in the implementation of the IDEA … AND MIRACLES in the lives of people who receive the message in the IDEA: Salvation, healing, deliverance, prosperity, success. ~  ~  ~ And when God gives you an IDEA, if you don't know how to do it, then you need to choose wise companions, KEY associates to help you implement that idea. You see, my friend, we need to have a Spirit of Excellence in everything that we do unto the LORD. I trust this message has helped you! We believe that the whole Bible is about Jesus. In fact, everything is about Jesus. “From him, through him, and to him are all things” (Rom. 11:36). “For by him all things were created…all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together” (Col. 1:16-17). Since everything in the world is about Jesus, certainly the Bible, which is his word, is about him too. “And Jesus said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?’ And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself” (Lk. 24:25-27) “You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me” (Jn. 5:39) In fact, we are convinced that reading the Bible without seeing how it points us to Jesus is to read the Bible with a veil over it. “For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed” (2 Cor. 3:14-16). This text goes on to say that it is the Gospel that is veiled. But when the veil is taken away by the Spirit, and we see the Gospel throughout the Bible, we don’t just get new information or discover clever connections. We actually see, “the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Cor. 4:4). Seeing Jesus and his Gospel throughout the whole Bible is not about trying to see something that isn’t really there, but trusting the Spirit of God to show us what is really there. And what is really there is the image and glory of God in Jesus. This isn’t about seeing beyond the text or through the text. It isn’t about overlooking the historical events or the author’s intent, to see something mystical and secret. It is about seeing how God operated in historical events, through authorial intent, in the texts of scripture to show us more of his glory in Jesus. That is our goal in this podcast. We will work through books of the Bible in segments. Usually these segments will be broken up by the text itself, pausing for reflection where the literature seems to tell us to stop and take account. Our hope is to make it through the whole Bible, speaking the Gospel out of every corner of Scripture. Welcome to our public experiment to test this thesis. Welcome to Spoken Gospel.

Jerry, Fred, Greg, and Scott did a great job leading us! Here Peter shows us that we are to see that Jesus was rejected by men but chosen by God. The same is true for God's people in this world: rejected by the world but God's "chosen race" (v. 9).

Some examples of “human-sector” as well as “other-worldly” engagement would be as follows: ► Media and memes;► Bio-ethics and life choices; and,► Politics and Globalism. The above three, by nature, influence the following: ► Social media and relational patterns;► Human gene editing (HGE / AI); and,► Geopolitical alignments. __________________________________________ ■ WHAT ARE “MEMES” AND HOW DO THEY AFFECT CULTURES Definition of “meme” ― ► An idea, behavior, style, or usage that spreads from person to person within a culture. Memes (discrete units of knowledge, gossip, jokes, and so on) are to culture what genes are to life. Just as biological evolution is driven by the survival of the fittest genes in the gene pool, cultural evolution may be driven by the most successful memes.— Richard Dawkins ► An amusing or interesting item (such as a captioned picture, image, GIF or video or genre of items) that is spread widely online especially through social media. The power of a meme is insane, they widespread in a matter of seconds over multiple different social media platforms. Reaching millions of people usually becoming rapidly popular on a scale of humor and relatability: both contributing factors that have the power to influence the average individual. Memes were used very effectively during the 2016 Presidential campaigns in the USA. And―probably―will be used moreso in the 2020 campaigns … as well as in Israel and in Europe. But have you ever considered that memes not only influence your political alignment(s) … but also your eternal alignment?! Have you also considered that memes can―and may―be created, designed, and anointed by “other than human” forces?! There are competitive voices seeking your vote … and there are TWO major forces recruiting YOU for a life―an eternal life―of service: your eternal vote! ■  WHY IS ISRAEL'S MOSSAD NOT DOING ITS JOB The Institute needs to increase the number of Katsas and Marats involved with cyber and social intelligence (in comparison with KGB) especially in countries vulnerable to political change that may be critical to the peace and prosperity of Israel: such as USA and other pro-Israel areas. The Mossad needs to be more “Tanakh oriented.” There are LOTS of clear, easy-to-understand, prophetic KEYS to alert Israel―and God's People―about present and future geopolitical trends. Combining knowledge with accurate surveilance can assist Israel―and Jewish People everywhere―from unnecessary evil … at the least palliative respite when needed. ■   WHAT IS THE ORIGIN OF MEME COMMUNICATION God confused the language of the masses at Babel, who “were on the verge of accomplishing whatever their minds could conceive.” (Torah: Genesis 11: 6) Notice TWO (2) things. Their language was ONE; Their goal (purpose) was ONE. Building the Tower of Babel―ONE language, ONE goal―resulted in God confusing their language, and caused "same language" people groups to migrate to different global sectors and regions. The sin of the people of Shinar was the desire to reign over the world and to determine their own destiny apart from God. “ONE language, ONE goal” was the first meme! Since then, communication has been the most demanded commodity in history! Remember: ONE language = 0-1-0-1; ONE goal = globalism. Binary PLUS globalism. Most people do NOT discern what's happening outside―and inside―their “meme-fed” domain of globalism. Even though there are opposing views and voices inside the meme-bubble, those inside the meme bubble are not cognizant of the peripheral bondage. AND ... those outside―Jews and REAL Christians―will increasingly become the objects of persecution. They discern and are not part of the “meme-team” ... but are obstacles to New Global Governance. Convergence from all sectors of society, commerce, and governance will become synergistic ... and ultimately reach singularity. ■  IT WILL GET WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER Because of the return to ONE language (Binary 0-1-0-1) and ONE goal (Globalism), God has already planned the future destruction―AGAIN―of Babel. We know from Scripture (Daniel and Zechariah) that hard times are designed by Satan's New Globalists: and directed at Israel. The New Global Governance will appoint a NEW leader: He will be the FALSE mashiach (FALSE messiah) who will deceive Israel (and deceive Jews globally). This FALSE mashiach―the future New Global Governance leader―will make a 7 year peace treaty (covenant) with Israel and the Palestinians. BEWARE!!! The coming Global Governance leader will allow Jews to build the Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. In the middle of the seven years, the New Global Governance leader will command all animal sacrifices to STOP. He will go into the Temple and act like (say that) he is God. (Tanakh: Book of Daniel 9:27 and Daniel 11:36-37). Notice that these verses can NOT apply to Antiochus IV because the mention of the “time of the end” in verses 35 and 40 tells us that this prophecy is “jumping ahead” to the end of this present age and to the one whom Antiochus symbolized―the FALSE mashiach: the anti-mashiach! The last half of the 7 year Treaty between Israel and the Palestinians (last 42 months) will be the WORST time of persecution the Jews & Israel have ever known … worse than the Nazi Holocaust. Whereas the Holocaust took away one out of three Jews, this next attack on God's Chosen People will take away two out of three Jews. (See Tanakh: Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 30:6-7). ■  WHERE DOES RELIGION FIT INTO ALL OF THIS The New Global Governance Leader will appoint a Head of Global Religion who will be a "FALSE Prophet" who persecutes Jews and REAL Christians. The Head of Global Religion (the FALSE Prophet) will demand people worldwide to worship the New Global Governance Leader (FALSE mashiach―referred to in Brit Chadashah as “The Beast”) … and will construct an image of him, demanding the populace to also worship the “image.” The head of Global Religion―the FALSE prophet―will also decree that people worldwide receive a "mark" or number―or number of―the New Global Governance Leader's name: represented by “666.” Don't laugh ... it's true. Stick around long enough & YOU may be deceived by it ... unless YOU act. Without this "mark" or number you will NOT be able to buy or sell―or possibly even trade. However, I am NOT sure how this will play out on the underground―dark web―market: that is a project for believers inside the Institute (Mossad). Do NOT take this "mark" or number. Refuse it! That is, IF you want to go to Heaven ... instead of Hell. It will be BETTER to have your head decapitated than to take this "mark" or number. If you take it, there will be NO deliverance by HaMashiach: the REAL Mashiach. ■  WE KNOW ABUT MEMES AND MOSSAD ... WHAT ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM The New Global Governance―with other regional Islamic forces―will attack Israel. However, at the last nanosecond, the REAL Mashiach (Messiah) will appear and He will defeat the anti-Israel armies. He will set up His Messianic Kingdom where peace, prosperity and purity will abound. We talk about the Jews being God's Chosen People and we touch some more on the heresy of Replacement Theology.

3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time Walls are necessary for security, to protect the life that is fostered within those walls. Just before our first reading begins, the Jewish people have finally been allowed to go home to Jerusalem after being conquered and sent away years ago.  The first thing they do is rebuild the walls to ensure their security.  Then our reading picks up with the great stories of their history being retold to this people who had in many ways forgotten their heritage and identity as God's Chosen People - they are being formed again so that they can become the light to the world that God intended.  It is much the same in our Catholic Church today.  To be strong and secure in our Catholic faith we do need to be set apart, we do need to build walls to protect our life inside from the attacks of the outer world.  But we are also invited – like the Israelites – to reclaim our identity and then throw open the windows to let this life transform those around us: it’s both/and.  Where do you need to strengthen a wall this week?  And where are you being asked to open a window?

The very first episode of God's Chosen People!

First Corinthians 10:1-13 uses two views of the 40 years of wandering by God's Chosen People to give us some powerful examples of God's consistent blessings and his warnings about our lives. As we move into 2019, the reality of God's blessings and the truth of His warnings can be helpful companions on the way. Jesus said, "I am with you always."

We believe that the whole Bible is about Jesus. In fact, everything is about Jesus. “From him, through him, and to him are all things” (Rom. 11:36). “For by him all things were created…all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together” (Col. 1:16-17). Since everything in the world is about Jesus, certainly the Bible, which is his word, is about him too. “And Jesus said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?’ And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself” (Lk. 24:25-27) “You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me” (Jn. 5:39) In fact, we are convinced that reading the Bible without seeing how it points us to Jesus is to read the Bible with a veil over it. “For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed” (2 Cor. 3:14-16). This text goes on to say that it is the Gospel that is veiled. But when the veil is taken away by the Spirit, and we see the Gospel throughout the Bible, we don’t just get new information or discover clever connections. We actually see, “the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Cor. 4:4). Seeing Jesus and his Gospel throughout the whole Bible is not about trying to see something that isn’t really there, but trusting the Spirit of God to show us what is really there. And what is really there is the image and glory of God in Jesus. This isn’t about seeing beyond the text or through the text. It isn’t about overlooking the historical events or the author’s intent, to see something mystical and secret. It is about seeing how God operated in historical events, through authorial intent, in the texts of scripture to show us more of his glory in Jesus. That is our goal in this podcast. We will work through books of the Bible in segments. Usually these segments will be broken up by the text itself, pausing for reflection where the literature seems to tell us to stop and take account. FOUNDATIONAL FRAMEWORK. PART 28 Foundational Truths: The Bible is God’s self-revelation.God is the Eternal, Sovereign Creator; all that He creates is good.Man is a responsible agent, held to a moral standard.Sin originates within a person, separating us from God.God declares one righteous by faith alone, apart from works.Exodus 3:7-10. YHWH claims ownership of the “sons of Israel,” calling them “My people.” Why would the Creator of all things hold a tiny and insignificant people so near to Him?Israel is YHWH’s Firstborn SonExodus 4:18-23. Israel is declared to be YHWH’s son, “My firstborn.” This name has great implications. As the firstborn son, Israel has special rights and privileges, which is often understood as a “double-inheritance” in a familial situation. The firstborn was also the head of all others; with Israel being the chief of the nations (Jer 31:7-9).Many get caught up in the notion that YHWH would harden Pharaoh’s heart. We should understand that YHWH would never do such a thing unless Pharaoh had rejected the revelation of God given to him. God does not make people stubborn if they are not already stubborn while at the same time rejecting the opportunity to change their ways. YHWH pleads with people to turn to Him (Ezekiel 18:23, 32; 33:11) and has the desire that all would be saved (1 Tim 2:4-6).Israel is YHWH’s ChosenDeuteronomy 4:36-38. Love motivates YHWH’s choosing of Israel. He personally, “by His presence,” led them out of Egypt and spoke to them audibly.Israel is YHWH’s Special Treasure, His Own PossessionDeuteronomy 7:6-10. Israel is referred to as holy (set apart), chosen, and as a “special treasure,” being YHWH’s own possession. They were selected for His mission based off of YHWH’s love for them and nothing else. God has liberated Israel, being their only Savior.In life, a person is only as good as his or her word. If they break their promise to you, they lack all integrity and cannot be trusted. The covenant(s) of YHWH are the means by which we measure His faithfulness. If He fails or neglects to fulfill anything that He has promised, He cannot be trusted for anything. YHWH is only as good as His Word.The word “hesed” is used, being translated as “lovingkindness,” and meaning His “loyal love” toward Israel, again implying faithfulness.Being YHWH’s People Does Not Excuse Sin!Ezekiel 6:1-7, 7:1-4. Idolatry was a constant noose around Israel’s neck. Repeatedly, they bowed to stone and wood rather than to the Creator who loved them. While YHWH is longsuffering and slow to anger (Psa 86:15; 145:8), this does not excuse sin, nor does it give Israel the right to presume upon His kindness and longsuffering. Like all of mankind, Israel was and is responsible for their actions. They should be supported when they seek to do righteously, and they should be opposed when they seek to pursue wickedness.Israel Serves as YHWH’s Witnesses to the Nations!Isaiah 43:1-13. This passage speaks of YHWH’s unrelenting love for Israel and shows their missional calling to be a witness to the nations of what an intimate fellowship with the Creator can be like. While their unfaithfulness has greatly tarnished this witness, the Lord loves them nonetheless!Missional Dispensationalism states that God seeks to institute His Kingdom program on earth through mankind. In each dispensation, YHWH desires for the world to know Him, to see Him as intimate, personal, loving, and righteous. Israel was to show this relationship.As seen with Israel, YHWH’s Character is One of Tender Mercy.Psalm 103:8-14. The graciousness of God is seen toward those who fear Him. He is looking for opportunities to be merciful. Will we give Him the opportunity to be merciful to us?

He was a mighty hunter before [Lit: against] Adonai—this is why people say, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before [Lit: against] Adonai.”– Torah: Bereshith (Genesis10:8-9) “And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, says the LORD.”– Jeremiah 51:24 “On her forehead was written a name with a hidden meaning: BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF WHORES AND OF THE OBSCENITIES OF THE EARTH.” – Revelation 17:5 Daniel and the three Hebrew children are examples of deliverance for G-d's People. More particularly, Mordecai and Esther (the Jewish heroine Hadassah), through their prayers, fasting and action kept the Jews from being exterminated by Haman in 127 provinces from India to Ethiopia. However, recall the mass pillage and murders done to the Jewish People under the Roman Titus and his armies [mostly conscripts and enlistees from Ishmaelite-Arabian areas in the Middle East] in 70 C.E. And that's NOT even acccounting for the genocide of six million Jews under the rule of Hitler in Nazi Germany. [Note: first usage in Bible of the word "Arabs" is in 4 Kings  (Tanakh) or 2 Kings 17:11 in Holy Bible. Satan tried many times to exterminate the Jewish People. WHY? First, because he did not want the Mashiach of Israel to be born; therefore, he attempted to destroy the seedline of the Jewish People and thereby cut off the family line from which it was prophesied that Messiah would come. “Before she travailed, she brought forth;Before her pain came, she gave birth to a boy.”‒ Isaiah 66:7 Second, because after Messiah was born, Satan did / does NOT want the Mashiach to return a second time to deliver Israel from her future travail in the Time of Jacob's Trouble and establish His Kingdom. “Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once? As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons.”‒ Isaiah 66:8 However, let's look at three specific historical events designed by the enemy of Israel: ▪ The enemy tried to destroy the Hebrew boys in Moses' day under Pharaoh. ▪ The enemy tried to destroy ALL the Hebrews in Esther's day under Haman. ▪ The enemy tried to destroy the Hebrew boys in Yeshua's (Jesus') day under Herod. ~ Satan will try again to destroy the Jews ~ ~ He does NOT want Messiah to return the second time ~ ~ WHY? Because Messiah will establish His kingdom on earth ~ __________________________________________ “It will come about in all of the land," declares the LORD, "that two thirds of the people living there will die, but a third will survive who live there.”‒ Zechariah 13:8 __________________________________________ Now let's look at a quick historical background of the “Jews” and/or “Hebrews” and follow the evolution of the etymology of the names ... and while doing that we will SEE what's happening today ... and what will happen in the future. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The name "Jew" was first used to refer to someone from the tribe of Judah. Later, after the return from the 70 year captivity in Babylon―in the time of Ezra and Nehemiah―the name "Jew" was used to refer to anyone from any of the 12 tribes. However, the tribe of Judah seemed to make up the larger portion of the remnant of Israel. The children of Israel were originally called "Hebrews." Concerning the term "Hebrew," it is interesting that after the Children of Israel finished wandering for 40 years, and before they passed over the Jordan River into the Promised Land, they lodged for three days at the brink of the Jordan River. Joshua, their leader after Moshe, sent officers through the camp who commanded the people as: "When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your G-d, and the priests―the Levites―bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it.” “Yet there shall be a space between you and the ark, about 2,000 cubits (1,000 yards or 914 meters) by measure. Do not come near the ark, so that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before." (Tanakh: Sefer Y'hoshua / Book of Joshua.) The Hebrew root word for "passed" used [in previous text] is "abar" [ah-var] which means "to pass over, go through, pass beyond, or to make a transition [figuratively or literally]." To arrive INSIDE your own personal Promised Land, you will have to go through a TRANSITION! The Hebrew word "abar" also means "to pass from one side to the other side." Interestingly enough, a derivative of the word "abar" is "ibriy" which means "Hebrew" and is the ethnic description of Abraham and his seed line, who was a descendant of “Eber”―the great grandson of Noah's son Shem. Genesis 14:13 / Bereshith talks about "Abram the Hebrew." Exodus 7:16 / Shemot mentions "the LORD G-d of the Hebrews." Here "Hebrews" represents a tribe of Semites (sons of Shem). Abraham "crossed over" the Euphrates River from Haran to Canaan, the land G-d promised him. How did he do it―through OBEDIENCE! Abraham, with his wife Sarah and his nephew Lot, had originally left Ur of the Chaldees with his father, Terah, and arrived in Haran. It's possible the LORD had wanted Terah to take the trip of faith from Haran and he may not have obeyed; possibly that is why G-d chose Abraham. FAST FORWARD: The extended war in Iraq played―and will continue for a while―to play an important part in End Time prophecy: 1. for Israel; 2. for the Middle East; and, 3. for the West. The result will be a paradigm shift in world commerce, geopolitics and religion. Plus ... Israel will be swept up in a vortex of persecution. But wait … With the President of USA, Donald Trump, declaring Jerusalem as [undisputed] Capital of Israel―and with observed synergistic economic prosperity of those who agree―an emotional “brain twist” will result in Islamic nations: jealousy AND attention. REFLECTION: What politicians. educators and the news media do NOT realize―rather, do NOT understand―is that President Trump of the USA is anointed by G-d to help Israel. That's WHY in just one year the economy of the USA has surged: corporations investing in development plus training employees; unexpected bonuses to employees; corporations returning to USA from abroad; stock market soaring to new highs. Dead people do not understand life; unbelievers do not understand ... nor comprehend ... the anointing: what it is; why it is imparted; and from where it originates. Donald Trump―in his office of President―is anointed as much as Cyrus was who commanded the Jerusalem to be rebuilt and the foundations of the Temple to be laid. Cyrus was a pagan ruler! Isaiah refers to pagan Cyrus as “the Lord's anointed.” (See Isaiah 44:28 – 45:7.) This prophecy―and G-d calling Cyrus by name―was 150 years before the happening! Remember, in Torah G-d promised “I will bless those who bless Israel.” [Several places in Bereshith / Genesis.] Even Middle East Islamic countries could be blessed if they were to “wake up” and work with Israel ... helping Israel. However, recall the mass pillage and murders done to the Jewish People under the Roman Titus and his armies [mostly conscripts and enlistees from Ishmaelite-Arabian areas in the Middle East] in 70 C.E. And that's NOT even acccounting for the genocide of six million Jews under the rule of Hitler in Nazi Germany. [Note: first usage in Bible of the word "Arabs" is in 4 Kings  (Tanakh) or 2 Kings 17:11 in Holy Bible. Satan tried many times to exterminate the Jewish People. WHY? First, because he did not want the Mashiach of Israel to be born; therefore, he attempted to destroy the seedline of the Jewish People and thereby cut off the family line from which it was prophesied that Messiah would come. “Before she travailed, she brought forth;Before her pain came, she gave birth to a boy.”‒ Isaiah 66:7 Second, because after Messiah was born, Satan did / does NOT want the Mashiach to return a second time to deliver Israel from her future travail in the Time of Jacob's Trouble and establish His Kingdom. “Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once? As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons.”‒ Isaiah 66:8 However, let's look at three specific historical events designed by the enemy of Israel: ▪ The enemy tried to destroy the Hebrew boys in Moses' day under Pharaoh. ▪ The enemy tried to destroy ALL the Hebrews in Esther's day under Haman. ▪ The enemy tried to destroy the Hebrew boys in Yeshua's (Jesus') day under Herod. ~ Satan will try again to destroy the Jews ~ ~ He does NOT want Messiah to return the second time ~ ~ WHY? Because Messiah will establish His kingdom on earth ~ __________________________________________ “It will come about in all of the land," declares the LORD, "that two thirds of the people living there will die, but a third will survive who live there.”‒ Zechariah 13:8 __________________________________________ Now let's look at a quick historical background of the “Jews” and/or “Hebrews” and follow the evolution of the etymology of the names ... and while doing that we will SEE what's happening today ... and what will happen in the future. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The name "Jew" was first used to refer to someone from the tribe of Judah. Later, after the return from the 70 year captivity in Babylon―in the time of Ezra and Nehemiah―the name "Jew" was used to refer to anyone from any of the 12 tribes. However, the tribe of Judah seemed to make up the larger portion of the remnant of Israel. The children of Israel were originally called "Hebrews." Concerning the term "Hebrew," it is interesting that after the Children of Israel finished wandering for 40 years, and before they passed over the Jordan River into the Promised Land, they lodged for three days at the brink of the Jordan River. Joshua, their leader after Moshe, sent officers through the camp who commanded the people as: "When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your G-d, and the priests―the Levites―bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it.” “Yet there shall be a space between you and the ark, about 2,000 cubits (1,000 yards or 914 meters) by measure. Do not come near the ark, so that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before." (Tanakh: Sefer Y'hoshua / Book of Joshua.) The Hebrew root word for "passed" used [in previous text] is "abar" [ah-var] which means "to pass over, go through, pass beyond, or to make a transition [figuratively or literally]." To arrive INSIDE your own personal Promised Land, you will have to go through a TRANSITION! The Hebrew word "abar" also means "to pass from one side to the other side." Interestingly enough, a derivative of the word "abar" is "ibriy" which means "Hebrew" and is the ethnic description of Abraham and his seed line, who was a descendant of “Eber”―the great grandson of Noah's son Shem. Genesis 14:13 / Bereshith talks about "Abram the Hebrew." Exodus 7:16 / Shemot mentions "the LORD G-d of the Hebrews." Here "Hebrews" represents a tribe of Semites (sons of Shem). Abraham "crossed over" the Euphrates River from Haran to Canaan, the land G-d promised him. How did he do it―through OBEDIENCE! Abraham, with his wife Sarah and his nephew Lot, had originally left Ur of the Chaldees with his father, Terah, and arrived in Haran. It's possible the LORD had wanted Terah to take the trip of faith from Haran and he may not have obeyed; possibly that is why G-d chose Abraham. FAST FORWARD: The extended war in Iraq played―and will continue for a while―to play an important part in End Time prophecy: 1. for Israel; 2. for the Middle East; and, 3. for the West. The result will be a paradigm shift in world commerce, geopolitics and religion. Plus ... Israel will be swept up in a vortex of persecution. But wait … With the President of USA, Donald Trump, declaring Jerusalem as [undisputed] Capital of Israel―and with observed synergistic economic prosperity of those who agree―an emotional “brain twist” will result in Islamic nations: jealousy AND attention. REFLECTION: What politicians. educators and the news media do NOT realize―rather, do NOT understand―is that President Trump of the USA is anointed by G-d to help Israel. That's WHY in just one year the economy of the USA has surged: corporations investing in development plus training employees; unexpected bonuses to employees; corporations returning to USA from abroad; stock market soaring to new highs. Dead people do not understand life; unbelievers do not understand ... nor comprehend ... the anointing: what it is; why it is imparted; and from where it originates. Donald Trump―in his office of President―is anointed as much as Cyrus was who commanded the Jerusalem to be rebuilt and the foundations of the Temple to be laid. Cyrus was a pagan ruler! Isaiah refers to pagan Cyrus as “the Lord's anointed.” (See Isaiah 44:28 – 45:7.) This prophecy―and G-d calling Cyrus by name―was 150 years before the happening! Remember, in Torah G-d promised “I will bless those who bless Israel.” [Several places in Bereshith / Genesis.] Even Middle East Islamic countries could be blessed if they were to “wake up” and work with Israel ... helping Israel. 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time A vineyard is meant to produce grapes, which turn into wine, which lightens and cheers the hearts of all those willing to drink of it.  Isaiah says that God's Chosen People, the Jews, were the vine, hand-selected by God, to produce amazing wine for this world - but they didn't produce good fruit.  So God took the vineyard from them and gave it to other tenants: now we, as the Church of Christ, have been given this vineyard to tend, so that we can produce good fruit for the world.  It means first being intoxicated by our own relationship with God, and then intentionally sharing these "spirits" with others so that they can find deep meaning, purpose and happiness of heart in relationship with God.  Then they will also begin producing good fruit for others.  Our potential is amazing!  So how are you bearing fruit?
