As far as I'm concerned this is the new blueprint. Gotta go and check that Neil Young and John Mayer thing out. Have a lovely week.

Antojos. Silky is a 72 year old OG acid head with a heart of gold. He spoke about getting his hands on some of Timothy Leary's LSD from the famous clinical trials of the 60's. We spoke about the war and also touched on geriatric A.I.D.S. There is even a special call from his mother mid interview. This conversation was an attempt at a Kodak moment. Recording someone without their knowledge is shysty AF, but it makes for a decent podcast... On today's show I talk to musician Michael Rault. Michael is a Toronto based singer, guitarist and songwriter who fronts his own eponymously named band and also plays as a member of Slim Twig's group. Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, he's part of the same music scene that spawned Mac DeMarco, and he's got a cassingle "Still Not Sad" b/w "Nothing Means Nothing" along with his album Living Daylight available now on Burger Records. Both of those things are great! This is the website for Beginnings, subscribe on iTunes, follow me on Twitter.

This week on TransCanada Music West, we feature Edmonton ex-pat Michael Rault. Michael has been a fixture on the Alberta music scene for the better part of a decade. His latest album, Living Daylight, receives its US debut on Burger Records this month. The record is earning him comparisions to the likes of Tame Impala, and T-Rex, with Exclaim.ca calling it "one of the best rock records of 2015". This week, you'll hear live renditions of the songs performed in session in CKUA's performance space.Tracklist:All Alone Real Love Fall in Love with Every Girl I See Hiding from Heartbreak Lost Something Too Bad So Sad Nothing Means Nothing Too All My Friends Still Not Sad
