Jason Dennen is on a mission to inspire people by sharing his story of survival and to empower people to get through life's most challenging hardships by utilizing the lessons they have already learned throughout their lives, and by taking advantage of the strength, they already possess inside themselves.   Book BRIEF - "8 Days Till Sunrise:  A True Story of Survival, Rebirth, and Discovering My Purpose in Life"This is a story about a man going down a path he hadn't intended to go down where he lost his way. He thought he was going through one of life's difficult trials when he hit the side of a building at high speed in a skydiving accident. And that is when his real trial began. The accident left him in a coma for 8 days. He woke up from a coma to a badly broken body that required him to stay in the hospital for three and a half months, undergo 11 months of rehabilitation, and relearn to walk.  After being told by his doctor he may never be able to run again, he decided to sign up for a triathlon to test the doctor's prognosis. Less than one year after the accident he completed a triathlon and proved the doctor wrong.  He relied on the foundation he built years before the accident to survive and recover.  He was guided by the scriptures and lessons from the Bible that he learned throughout his life. The long journey to recovery from the accident allowed him time to reassess the direction of his life and answer the question why was his life spared. This second chance at life revealed to him a new purpose in life. He promised himself that he would share his story, and what he learned to help others that are going through difficult hardships in their own lives.

Imagine crashing into a wall in your car while traveling at 30 mph. That could certainly leave some ugly marks. Let's take away the seat belts and airbags and imagine careening down a hill on a bike or on skis and hitting an object at that same speed. That will probably hurt quite a bit, perhaps a trip to the hospital. Now imagine skydiving and smacking into the side of an immovable building. Jason Dennen of Boulder, Colo. experienced that extremely tragic scenario, and the results were predictably catastrophic. For starters, Jason broke 10 of 12 ribs on one side, his pelvis, his arm, his leg, and suffered damage to multiple organs. Most significantly, his heart was ripped from one side of his chest to the other. The doctor who performed the surgery to move it back into its proper place later told Jason that no one at the trauma hospital had done it before; he had studied the procedure in med school, but no one there had ever seen a patient survive such an injury, so this was a first-time type of surgery. Jason spent eight days in an induced coma, hence the name of his new book, 8 Days Till Sunrise. I think you'll be riveted listening to Jason's amazing journey of awakening to that doctor in awe that Jason had even survived, his family and friends getting the shocking news of his accident, his numerous months of mind-challenging healing and determined rehabbing, his many highs and lows in hospitals, and how his deep faith in God and desire to see the Colorado mountains again carried him through that emotional rollercoaster. Of course, it wouldn't be quite right on the WASP if this saga doesn't end with Jason completing an astonishing athletic achievement, a triathlon less than a year after his near-death accident. This is also a compelling story of someone who felt that he had lost his way in life while working impossibly long hours in his career, and then trying to understand why his life had been spared and discovering a new purpose for himself on this Earth. His mission now is to inspire and empower people to get through their toughest hardships by using their own life's lessons and inner strength. His book is a fantastic read and is available on jasondennen.com and on Amazon.Jason DennenJasonDennentheHealer@gmail.comJasonDennen.comFacebook Jason DennenInstagram @jwdboulderlinktr.ee/dennenjBill Stahlsilly_billy@msn.comFacebook Bill StahlInstagram @stahlor

Jason Dennen joins Michael Rasile on For the Love of Sports to discuss his love of the outdoors and how that nearly ended his life. Jason has always been active and even loves to push himself to the brink. He has finished multiple Ironman races and understands the discipline that goes into running these races. He has also loved all things outdoors and was out skydiving one day when a gust of wind hit him at the worst possible time, throwing him right through a fence and an airplane hangar. This technically should have ended Jason's life due to the severity of the injuries and how it all happened, but thankfully it did not. Jason then spent the next year recovering, rehabbing, and eventually ran a triathlon 364 days after his horrific accident, even after the doctors said he may never run again. Through this experience, Jason realized that he had more to give to society, and while speaking about his accident and how it changed his life, writing a book could potentially reach more people! He wrote "8 Days Till Sunrise" about how he was able to overcome all of the obstacles that were in his way and how life is a series of small things that add up to the biggest things possible! Amin (Dod).

Lisa was the 1st WOC forensic linguist in the United States, and combines her lineages of medicine women and civil rights activists with Martin Luther King Jr so that you can experience your healing, embodiment, and unique prosperity codes to unlock your most empowered life. She also witnessed me at a very vulnerable point in my trauma healing journey as my coach and mentor in her 2021 All Access Mastermind. It was such a delight to sit down with Lisa and discuss: the beauty of noticing patterns and solidifying our foundations evolving and showing up for ourselves... and the ripple effects we can create as leaders exploring her process through my own experience (and I get emotional, y'all) dismantling the idea that any of us are "too much" "No matter where you are and what step you're taking next, if and when you experience things that make you feel like 'What is happening to me? I thought I passed this already! Am I taking steps backwards?' This is part of the process that indicates that you are on the journey. You are on the path. You are progressing. It's from that place of chaos... in whatever form it takes for you, that's where the rebirth gets to happen." Lisa, thank you again from the bottom of my heart for doing the work that you do, and for coming on the show today. I want ALL of you listening to check out her offerings at https://www.lisadennenyoung.com/ and learn more. And of course, you can find me over at lisakuzman.com, and book a call if you want to chat. Songs Inside|Songs and Stories from a Singer/ Songwriter

Crown Guitar Festival, just celebrated it’s sixth year. This is a week long workshop and festival held at the Flathead Lake Lodge in Bigfork, MT. Every night there is a performance by leading guitarists in their genre. During the day students attend classes taught by experienced and skilled guitar instructors. In the afternoon you can find one of the performers giving a master class. The meals are exceptional and are great way to collaborate, meet and celebrate with the participants, their families, special guests, board members, sponsors, donors,  bass and drum players and all the others that make the week go so smooth. The idea was conceived by David Feffer who loved guitar and wanted to create something amazing in his home area. Crown of the Continent Guitar Foundation was born with the concept  to “promote the artistry of the guitar across all genres in a non-competitive community environment” and to  provide a place for guitarists to be creativley inspired from the beauty here in northwestern Montana. I am ever thankful that they also have an incredible scholarship program, through generous donors and sponsors 15 people from our local area were able to attend.  Through Crown Guitar Fellowships 13 other students were able to attend, which included three international students. The recap of the performances by LA Guitar Quartet, Jon Herrington, Madeleine Peyroux, Lee Ritenour, Dave Grusin, Brett Dennen, David Grissom,  Dweezil Zappaand Romero Lubambo.  This was an incredible week of guitar music, of talent and performers.
