Richard Muma earned his doctorate 20 years ago before climbing the ranks at Wichita State University, becoming president in 2020. Now, an investigation by Kansas Reflector senior reporter Tim Carpenter has found dozens of instances where Muma copied someone else's work into his doctoral dissertation without adequate attribution. Carpenter joins editor in chief Sherman Smith to talk about the story and how he reported it.

Interrogé par Yannick Le Guillanton, Dominique Rouet, l'un des trois commissaires de l'exposition avec Sylvie Aubenas et Benoît Eliot, revient sur ce dialogue pionnier entre deux arts majeurs. Ce dernier célèbre autant les 150 ans de l'impressionnisme que la révolution que fut l'invention de la photographie en capturant des images, puis des scènes en mouvement. Avec l'évocation de Gustave Le Gray et de Claude Monet, cet épisode de L'Œil écoute raconte ainsi le foisonnement artistique et la place centrale que la Normandie occupa dans la seconde partie du 19e siècle, portée par le développement du chemin de fer, les traversées transatlantiques, mais aussi la croissance du tourisme de bord de mer du Havre à Étretat en passant par Trouville, Dieppe ou Cabourg. We had the absolute pleasure of chatting with Pip Wallis, Senior Curator at MUMA Monash University Museum of Art! Pip has curated a solo exhibition of work by acclaimed Chinese-American artist Candice Lin titled ‘The Sex Life of Stone' opening this weekend, Saturday 29th of June. Candice Lin is an interdisciplinary artist who works across ceramics and sculpture, installation, drawing, video and living materials and processes - materials such as mould, mushrooms and bacteria. Her work considers the politics of representation - focusing on issues of race, gender and sexuality. MUMA's exhibition will feature a new installation Untitled 2024, co-commissioned by MUMA with the 24th Biennale of Sydney, that delves into the speculative and historical entanglements surrounding manganese pigment, industrial mining, ancient trade routes linking Asia and Australia, and the intriguing sexual properties of sea slugs. Civillikuma nodaļā "Prasījumi no darba attiecībām" ir noteikts regulējums darba līgumam un uzņēmuma līgumam. Šķiet, daudziem darba ņēmējiem Latvijā īsti nav skaidrs, ko tad nozīmē darba līgums un uzņēmuma līgums, kur ir atšķirības, kur ir riski, ja sākam strādāt ar uzņēmumu līgumu, nevis darba līgumu un kādas tam visam ir sekas? "Ja mēs runājam par darbiniekiem, tad uzņēmuma līgumu aizmirstam," norāda Kaspars Rācenājs. "Ar darbiniekiem mēs slēdzam darba līgumu. Kaut arī mēs darba attiecībās piemērojam Civillikumu, Darba likums ir speciālais likums, kurā lielākā daļa visu jautājumu ir noklāti. Ja mēs sākam jau lietot terminu uzņēmuma līgums, tad atkāpjamies no darbinieka jēdziena, un tad jau mēs runājam Civillikuma izpratnē par tiem gadījumiem, kad pēc būtības divas vienlīdzīgas personas slēdz līgumu par dažādu pakalpojumu sniegšanu." Rācenājs norāda, bieži "vai nu jauc šos jēdzienus neapzināti, vai gluži otrādi - apzināti" "Tajā brīdī, ja jums uz galda uzliks uzņēmuma līgumu, jums ir jāsaprot, ka tās garantijas, kas ir noteiktas Darba likumā, uz jums neattieksies. Piemaksas par virsstundu darbu, nakts darbu, darba atpūtas laika regulējums - par to visu aizmirstiet, ja būs noslēgts uzņēmuma līgums," skaidro Rācenājs. "Bet tas, kas ir jāskatās, ka ļoti bieži darba devēji cenšas darba līgumu noslēpt kā uzņēmuma līgumu un saraksta tās lietas, kuras pēc būtības atbilstu uzņēmuma līgumam, kaut gan praksē dzīvē persona strādā kā darbinieks," tā Rācenājs. "Un tad jau būs strīds, ar kuru jūs nāksiet pie juristiem un iesiet uz tiesu, lai tiesas ceļā pierādītu, ka pēc būtības jums ir faktiski darba attiecības, nevis uzņēmuma līguma attiecības. Arī to ir iespējams tiesā apstrīdēt." "Darbiniekam noteikti, parakstot līgumu, jāpievērš [uzmanība] ir ne tikai nosaukumam, bet arī tīri saturiski, kas ir ielikts iekšā. Arī  pie uzņēmuma līguma, kur varbūt puses vienojas it kā varbūt nevar saukt viņu par darba devēju, jo tad viņš ir pasūtītājs, var būt pārliecina otru pusi, ka uzņēmuma līgums ir labāks. Bet ja tur ir arī šī pakļautība, ir pienākumi, kas ir jāpilda, lai sasniegtu galarezultātu, tas tomēr vairāk norāda uz uz darba līguma darba tiesiskajām attiecībām," skaidro Karīna Platā. Uzņēmuma līgums būtībā ir kā attiecības starp diviem uzņēmumiem.

She is one of this country's most internationally successful graphic designers, the child of Croatian migrants who took her solo agency from Melbourne to New York,  head-first into the competitive world of international branding -- and she's the subject of the first significant art survey of a female graphic designer in Australia, Visnja Brdar: Design Exalted at MUMA.Inner sanctum is the title of the 2024 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art. The recent struggles of the Jacksonville Jaguars defense has perplexed fans about why they've struggled. Many people are calling for DC Mike Caldwell to be brought up in front of the congregation for questioning. However a late substitution of Chad Muma in the 2nd half in Kansas City makes me wonder if rookie Devin Lloyd may be in line to have his time split with fellow rookie Chad Muma. 1. Many consider Utah's Devin Lloyd as the best off-ball LB in this class. Just weeks ago, many mock drafts had him as a top-10 pick. That said, since he didn't test as well as hoped at the Combine, he could very well experience a fall on draft day. How does he compare with recent players at his position who went in the top 10 (Roquan Smith, Devin White) and if he does fall, how far can you see him falling? 2. Another off-ball LB prospect that many see as the best in the class is Nakobe Dean of Georgia. Now, some buzz suggests he could fall all the way to Day 2 given concerns about whether his physical play-style can hold up at his relatively petit size (229 pounds). Moreover, some are of the opinion that one or both of his fellow Bulldogs in this class (Quay Walker and Channing Tindall) may be as good or better options. In what order do you have these three Georgia ‘backers ranked on your board at this time, and why? 3. Just two years ago, the Bengals selected a LB from Wyoming in Logan Wilson who has already grown into a core piece of their defense. This year, Wyoming is sending an arguably better LB prospect to the NFL in Chad Muma. Muma was a tackling machine for the Cowboys (11.3 tackles per game over the past two seasons) and posted some special numbers at the Combine (40” vertical jump and 129” broad jump). How does Muma compare/contrast with Logan Wilson as a prospect and can you see him carving out a similar role for himself as his fellow Wyoming Cowboy within the next two seasons? 4. A prospect that could very well be rising up boards across the league after posting some super freakish results at both the Combine and his Pro Day is Wisconsin's Leo Chenal. Aside from a 40.5” vertical and a 128” broad jump in Indy, he posted an ASTONISHING 6.84s three-cone drill. Moreover, according to data analyst/statistician Kent Lee Platte, Chenal's Relative Athletic Score ranked fourth out of 2,188 LB dating back all the way to 1987. Does the tape match the traits for Leo Chenal in your view, and how early can you see him hearing his name called? 5. As ESPN's Jordan Reid and others reported at the Combine, a LB that the NFL is apparently much higher on than those in draft media is LSU's Damone Clark. Based on what you have seen of him, why do you think that is? 6. Buy Or Sell: Christian Harris, Jesse Luketa, Malcolm Rodriguez, Darrian Beavers, Brandon Smith, Zakoby McClain, Brian Asamoah, Aaron Hansford 7.
