In early 2023, Chris and Katie Wolf opened Wolf Pack Chorus, a bold, beautiful restaurant in the Little Italy neighborhood of Cleveland. It was intentionally different from the red sauce and meatball spots along Murray Hill, with a diverse menu and an upscale ambiance. After the struggle of the pandemic, it was kind of a celebration and a sign that things were back to normal and "finer dining" was here to stay. It was a "must dine" spot on all the lists for 2023.Two years in, the story changed. Chris had to make the difficult decision to close. It's all top easy for all of us on the outside to speculate and comment, which is why I asked Chris to share the story from his perspective. He talks about some of the hard decisions and how he faced the eventual reality of a closure and the ending of a long-held dream. This episode is presented with support from Edgewater Hospitality and Kate's Fish, at the West Side Market.

Send us a textBridget stops by the podcast to discuss music, metaphysics, and much more. ****Bridget Barkan is a chameleon artist who shape-shifts through genre and style with a thread of raw truth and soul, woven into every melody and lyric. A native New Yorker, she has toured the world with pop/glam band Scissor Sisters and has performed with Bright Light Bright Light and Slow Knights. Starring in LGBTQ romantic classic “Walk with Me,” as a singer/songwriter, featured on the original album as well. As a singer, she has also opened for Lady Gaga, and has shared the stage with Drag legends Joey Arias, Murray Hill, and more. She worked closely with Baz Luhrmann as the voice of Misty Holloway on the Netflix show “The Get Down.” Bridget has released singles with the House DJ/producer legend Todd Terry as well as numerous of her own singles. As a child actress, she has appeared in countless commercials and Sesame Street. She has starred in HBO's Everyday People, Sherrybaby, Redacted, God's Pocket, Steven Soderbergh's The Knick and had a recurring role as a one-legged “hooker” on Law & Order: SVU. On stage, Barkan has appeared in numerous productions including Dog Sees God and alongside Lea Michelle in a workshop of Spring Awakening. "Heartbroken Ones” was a practice in healing, purging, and processing what Barkan was going through. “It helped me get through one of the worst moments of my life. It was the acceptance I was singing to myself,” Barkan explains. “All that mattered was releasing the pain that this indiscretion had caused.” Working with producer Austin Bello (Nikki Pope, FNKHOUSER, Goldvein) again who worked on her previous single “Good Things” and singer songwriter Poet Hawkins, she crafted the song in “a more old soul approach at first. But then I kept listening to my friend Natti Vogel's song ‘FAB (Free Ass Bitch),' which also was a healing song, which had a more pop and synth based energy, so we went in that direction, instead. We took parts of a voice memo and created a soundscape which really captured the inner world I was in.” A regular in the NYC artsy pop underground that includes Bright Light Bright Light, Xavier Smith, and John Cameron Mitchell among many others, Bridget is a “Jill of All Trades” on a one woman journey through life, love and loss. She also formerly toured the world with Scissor Sisters and can be seen in their earth-shattering “Let's Have A Kiki” video as one of Ana Matronic's crew. Having inherited her father's knack for songwriting, Bridget's intrinsic artistry and talent is a legacy she proudly carries. *****If you would like to contact the show about being a guest please email us at Dauna@bettertopodcast.comFollow us on Social MediaInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/author_d.m.needom/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bettertopodcastwithdmneedomAudio production by Rich Zei of Third Ear AudioIntro and Outro music compliments of Fast Suzi©2025 Better To...Podcast with D. Murray Hill is larger than life. He's got a big personality, a positive outlook, an infectious style of banter, and an endearing demeanor. It is all presented in a colorful package, suit and all. But it is not just a persona. After chatting with him for just a few minutes, it is clear that he is the real deal. Talking to him is like talking to everyone's favorite guy at the bar. He's got stories, jokes, and opinions on life. He's also got a lot of talent that has taken him from the New York club scene to the stage and screen. You never know where he is going to pop up, from cameos in films to burlesque, from opening for rock bands to performing at parties for Liza, from performing in his one-man show Murry Hill As Himself to co-starring in the hit HBO show Somebody Somewhere. He's a throwback to classic Hollywood in the style of Benny Hill and Sammy Davis Jr. but with modern flair. He's unapologetically queer and has moved our community forward in media representation, but without pomp and circumstance, just a lot of heart. In this episode, we talk about the challenges Murray overcame in his youth, the importance of the New York City scene in the 90s, being true to yourself, the power of persistence, Murry's touring one-man show, the power of his HBO show Somebody Somewhere, having a little grace with Arnold Schwarzenegger, the power of comedy, and even a little Liza.Hosted by Alexander Rodriguez. @alexanderisonairCheck out our in-depth chat with him in the current issue of Metrosource or at Metrosource.com For info on Murray's tour head to Mistershowbiz.com

Exploring the hidden gems of Manhattan, we take listeners on a vibrant journey through the the city. Beginning in the Murray Hill neighborhood, the American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog, is a unique destination dedicated to celebrating our canine companions through art and exhibits. The museum showcases a rich collection of dog-themed paintings, sculptures, and even an interactive AI exhibit that allows visitors to discover which dog breed they resemble. About The New Couple in 5B Rosie and Chad Lowan are barely making ends meet in New York City when they receive life-changing news: Chad's late uncle has left them his luxury apartment at the historic Windermere in glamorous Murray Hill. With its prewar elegance and impeccably uniformed doorman, the building is the epitome of old New York charm. One would almost never suspect the dark history lurking behind its perfectly maintained facade. At first, the building and its eclectic tenants couldn't feel more welcoming. But as the Lowans settle into their new home, Rosie starts to suspect that there's more to the Windermere than meets the eye. Why is the doorman ever-present? Why are there cameras everywhere? And why have so many gruesome crimes occurred there throughout the years? When one of the neighbors turns up dead, Rosie must get to the truth about the Windermere before she, too, falls under its dangerous spell. With echoes of “Rosemary's Baby” and Hitchcock's “Rear Window,” THE NEW COUPLE IN 5B is a chilling warning that even the place you think of as home may be built on dark secrets and lies About Lisa Unger LISA UNGER is a New York Times and internationally bestselling author of twenty novels, including Confessions on the 7:45 and Secluded Cabin Sleeps Six. Get Tickets to the show! Hey fam! We've just had an amazing chat with our content partner and friend Mike Freed. Mike is not just a very successful lawyer, but also master of making people laugh. He's a genius at touching hearts and making a real difference with his words. And guess what? He's spilled all his secrets on how we can do it too, in our own content! We talked about something super cool. Making content, the stuff we read or watch online, is a lot like telling jokes or funny stories. Mike told me that whether we're trying to make someone laugh or make them think, it's all about practicing a lot and paying attention to what works and what doesn't. He mentioned a special ingredient: being real and sharing a bit of our own stories. It sounds a bit scary, right? But when we share a little bit of ourselves, it's like magic. People feel more connected to us and remember what we say way better. So, if you love creating things for others to enjoy, such as writing, making videos, or anything else, you'll find this chat with Mike super helpful. It's packed with #goldenboulders of wisdom that'll help you elevate your content. Today's show will make your brain go, "Wow, I can totally do this!" So, are you ready?
