This week the Waverider is flying between 1895, 1937, and 1253 B.C. We see a not vampire tale with a resurrection and a woman out of time starting wars tale. Join us as we rewatch "Return of The Mack" and "Helen Hunt" "Return of The Mack" finds Nate using his history skills and Gideon's help to find the patterns to the anachronisms and the outliers.  It led them to 1895 chasing a vampire in the time of Jack the Ripper. What they find is a cult worshiping Mallus, Rip on a vendetta to stop Mallus, and Damien and Nora Darhk.  Nora is working with Mallus to bring Damien back to life. We get some cool fight sequences and get to see Zari start to own her role as totem bearer. "Helen Hunt" has Helen of Troy brought to 1937 Hollywood. Even there she is starting literal wars by men wanting her. Jax & Stein have a "Freaky Friday" experience that only Hedy Lemar, actress and tech inventor, can solve. Damien, Nora, and Kuasa are there on Mallus's mission. We get to see Damien & Sara battle, a Totem Bearer battle, and the Legends versus Nora fight. We learn that Kuasa is Amaya's granddaughter and Nora is Damien's daughter. Sara is out for the count and Zari hacks history by taking Helen to Themyscria.     Contact Information If you want to join in the discussion, you can submit feedback via email to TomorrowsLegendsPodcast@gmail.com.

Mark Radulich and Co. take the time to review Season 3 of DC's Legends of Tomorrow on TV Party Tonight. "After the defeat of Eobard Thawne and his equally nefarious Legion of Doom, the Legends face a new threat created by their actions at the end of last season. In revisiting a moment in time that they had already participated in, they have essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms – a scattering of people, animals, and objects all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. But before our Legends can jump back into action, Rip Hunter and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question. With the Time Bureau effectively the new sheriffs in town, the Legends disband – until Mick Rory discovers one of them in the middle of his well-deserved vacation in Aruba. Seeing this as an opportunity to continue their time traveling heroics, Sara wastes no time in getting the Legends back together." "We reunite with billionaire inventor Ray Palmer, the unconventional historian-turned-superhero Nate Heywood, and Professor Martin Stein and Jefferson “Jax” Jackson, who together form the meta-human Firestorm. Once reunited, the Legends will challenge the Time Bureau’s authority over the timeline and insist that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureau’s capabilities. Some problems can only be fixed by Legends."

Following the departure of Franz Drameh and Victor Garber, Keiynan Lonsdale has joined the cast of DC's Legends of Tomorrow as a series regular, EW has learned. Executive producer Phil Klemmer said in a statement, “We loved working with Keiynan in our series premiere — the episode in which we learned that in between seasons 2 and 3 he had been fighting crime in Central City with Nick Zano's Nate Heywood. So when his character stepped away from Flash to go on walkabout, after being dumped and feeling somewhat estranged from his family and team, we knew that Wally West would fit in perfectly on Legends. After all, our show is about a collection of unlikely heroes who all began their journeys questioning who they are and where they belong — only to find those answers while traveling through time and having wacky adventures. So now, Wally West is not only back in the company of old friends from the Arrowverse, he's fighting alongside a former enemy and career arsonist Mick Rory/Dom Purcell. By the end of this season, Wally will learn that the Legends have a different definition of what it means to be a hero.” http://ew.com/tv/2018/01/19/legends-of-tomorrow-adds-keiynan-lonsdale-as-series-regular/ NEXT EPISODE   Link to Promo: (Date: 01 Feb 2018) http://comicbook.com/dc/2018/02/02/arrow-season-6-episode-13-the-devils-greatest-trick/   Episode: “The Devil's Greatest Trick” [Season 6 Episode 13] Air Date: Thursday, February 8, 2018 Summary: Cayden James launches a full out attack when he uncovers a secret about the Green Arrow that puts him over the edge. Katrina Law is returning to “Arrow” for a single episode later this year. Executive producers Wendy Mericle and Marc Guggenheim said. “In an unforgettable episode that will change ‘Arrow' forever, Katrina Law returns as the Daughter of the Demon, Nyssa Al Ghul. Nyssa comes to Star City to warn of an impending danger that will threaten everything we know and love.” http://variety.com/2018/tv/news/arrow-katrina-law-nyssa-al-ghul-1202675995/ TV Ratings: 'Supernatural' Delivers on Thursday Night, 'Arrow' Falls (Date: 26 Jan 2018) At 9 o'clock  Arrow on The CW struggled once again. With 1.39 million viewers, the show slipped to a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demo, matching its non-Thanksgiving series low. Part of what caused the struggle for Arrow is the crowded Thursday night block across every network. ABC's Scandal (5.2 mil/1.3). NBC has its all-star night of comedy. Will & Grace (2.56 mil) and Great News (2.19 mil). [Michelle's Notes: Project Runway All Stars is at 9PM] http://comicbook.com/dc/2018/01/26/tv-ratings-arrow-supernatural-thursday-night/   CW Won't Air More Than 4 Superhero Shows At One Time (Date: 24 Jan 2018) The CW has taken its own steps in hopes of staving off audience exhaustion: limiting the number of superhero dramas that air at one time to four. The CW has The Flash, Supergirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow and, just this month, Black Lighting. However, the Arrowverse programming block hasn't been bulletproof in the ratings, which have dipped 7.5 percent this season (although numbers are said to be flat with last season when streaming and DVR audiences are taken into account). That said, however, he doesn't foresee the current demand for superheroes coming to an end soon. “The audience will tell you when the fatigue has set in,” Pedowitz said. “If you have a quality show or a fun show, the audience will stay with it.” https://www.cbr.com/cw-tv-4-superhero-shows/ 'Riverdale,' 'The Flash,' and 'Arrow' Take a Week Off in Mid-February (Date: 26 Jan 2018) The same week Supergirl begins a hiatus to make way for the return of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, numerous other comic book shows on The CW are taking a break. The Flash, Riverdale, and Arrow will all be taking a week off starting the week of February 12th, leaving Legends of Tomorrow and Black Lightning to pick up a fair amount of slack (along with the season finale of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend). There is no official word when the shows will return, although it seems likely that they will return either the next week or following a short hiatus. Breaks of one to three weeks are common for each of the three shows, either to accommodate scheduling on The CW or to get ahead on post-production. http://comicbook.com/dc/2018/01/26/riverdale-the-flash-and-arrow-take-a-week-off-in-mid-february/   GENERAL DC NEWS:   Legends of Tomorrow adds Keiynan Lonsdale as series regular (Date: 19 Jan 2018) Welcome to the Waverider, Kid Flash! By the end of this season, Wally will learn that the Legends have a different definition of what it means to be a hero.” http://ew.com/tv/2018/01/19/legends-of-tomorrow-adds-keiynan-lonsdale-as-series-regular/ The Flash: Elongated Man's Super Costume Revealed in New Photo (Date: 17 Jan 2018) In the photo, Dibney sports a burgundy jacket with white accents. The jacket has a gauge on the left shoulder, not unlike the one worn by Firestorm. He also wears a pair of goggles, with black eye makeup underneath to obscure his face so that he won't be easily recognizable. The costume is likely of Cisco's design, since it will have to stretch and conform to Dibney's metahuman abilities. https://www.cbr.com/the-flash-elongated-man-costume-2/ Arrow Cast and Crew Interviews:   Legends of Tomorrow: Constantine Boards the Waverider in New Photos (Date: 24 Jan 2018) DC's Legends of Tomorrow welcomes Constantine aboard the Waverider in several new photos from “Daddy Darhkest,” the upcoming midseason premiere of Season 3. "I want to say, 'Absolutely,'" executive producer Marc Guggenheim said about Huntress' potential return. "Jessica De Gouw has expressed an absolute willingness to come back. Jessica's a favorite actor of mine, and the Huntress is a favorite character of mine. I want to make it happen in Season 6. "I'm so proud and I feel so fortunate to get to portray a hero like this, an inclusive hero, you know, part of the LGBT community, a person of color who's a person of, you know, endless optimism and positivity. And it's a role that I love to play and as far as Curtis, I know he takes a lot of pride in that, too, you know? "I personally, I feel like, you know, what a time to be alive where, you know, I get to see so many people, I can be on TV, I get to portray that," he said. This time around, he got a version of the Steel powers -- and, as in the comics, it comes from Nazis trying to take out the JSA who inadvertently provide him with abilities. TO BE MARRIED TOMORROW - The idea that the beautiful girl he happens upon is set to be married tomorrow to the Shogun -- loosely translated as "Royal Ugly Dude" -- feels like the kind of thing that pops up from time to time in time-travel fiction...but Bill & Ted is the most obvious one for us. LOST - "If I've learned one thing from Lost, it's that you don't go opening secret hatches." This is one of a couple of not-so-subtle pop culture references this week. Typically those don't make the "Easter eggs" lists, but we're acknowledging more of them this year since last season we had lots of fans chiming in to let us know that we "missed" them in the comments. Obviously, that's a reference to the long-running network drama LOST, one of the big mysteries of which revolved around a hatch into an underground chamber which, rather than providing the answers the characters hoped, only resulted in more questions. 2056 - There are a few superheroes -- notably The Flash and Green Lantern -- who have spent time in the not-too-distant future quite a bit in their careers, but the year 2056 doesn't come up specifically in the comics. Where it does come up is in Young Justice, the animated series in which Barry Allen's grandson Bart (Impulse/Kid Flash/Flash) played a key role. In that version of the story, Bart comes from a future where The Reach has conquered Earth and travels back in time to join Young Justice, which in part could potentially help to alter that dark future. MASTER YODA  - Of course, almost anyone would know that the reference to Ray Palmer's "sensei" Yoda, who shared the wisdom "do or do not; there is no try," is a nod to The Empire Strikes Back, in which the diminutive Jedi Master trained Luke Skywalker to harness the Force. THE SOULTAKER - It's established by the end of the episode that the young woman Nate wanted to help was pretty capable of defending herself under normal circumstances. She's from the clan Yamashiro, which if you don't recognize, you ought to. Not only did her descendant Tatsu Yamashiro and her husband Maseo recur throughout season 3 of Arrow, but Tatsu also appeared in this summer's Suicide Squad movie in her costumed identity as Katana. That sword? It's the Soultaker which, in the comics and in the Suicide Squad movie, absorbs the soul energy of the people killed with it. ARROW NEWS Marc Guggenheim reveals Ep 16 Title: Checkmate (Date: 19 Jan 2017) * The sixteenth episode of Arrow's fifth season has gone into production, and  EP Marc Guggenheim has given some insight into what's coming up with a peek at the episode's title. * The episode is called "Checkmate," which Guggenheim assures us that it does not refer to the spy agency formerly run by Maxwell Lord and Amanda Waller in the comics.Link:http://comicbook.com/2017/01/19/arrow-episode-16-title-revealed-by-executive-producer/   ARROW SYNOPSIS TEASES PROPER INTRODUCTION FOR TALIA AL GHUL (Date: 14 Jan 2017) Titled “Second Chances,” the Feb. 1 episode will see Oliver Queen team up with Talia in flashbacks in an effort to defeat Russian government strongman Kovar. TALIA AL GHUL TAKES OLIVER UNDER HER WING — In his quest to take down Kovar, Oliver (Stephen Amell) gets help from a surprising source – Talia al Ghul (guest star Lexa Doig). However, when she reveals what she wants from him in exchange, Oliver isn't sure he can accept her help.Link:http://www.cbr.com/arrow-synopsis-teases-proper-introduction-for-talia-al-ghul/     Katrina Law On Whether ARROW Will Have A Nyssa And Talia Al Ghul Family Reunion (Date: 12 Jan 2017) Katrina Law's Nyssa al Ghul has yet to make an appearance in season 5 of Arrow but her sister, Talia, is set to appear soon, played by Lexa Doig.  Does that mean Nyssa will be returning as well? Cinemablend recently caught up with Law to discuss her role in the Training Day TV adaptation from CBS but also asked about a possible Arrow guest spot. "There's always talk. Whether or not those talks will ever come to fruition is another matter, but I would love to have a reunion with Talia. I just think having the two sisters either fight side by side together or fight with each other would be epic either way. And then if we could somehow do some sort of flashback with Ra's al Ghul coming in as well… Let's petition to make that happen." But before you get your hopes up, Law cautioned that the shooting schedule for Training Day makes it difficult for her to get away to Vancouver, where Arrow films.Link:https://www.comicbookmovie.com/tv/dc/arrow/katrina-law-on-whether-arrow-will-have-a-nyssa-and-talia-al-ghul-a148121     A New Female Vigilante Is Coming To Arrow (Date: 16 Jan 2017) Part of the synopsis for episode 11 states: “Meanwhile, Curtis (Echo Kellum), tells the team about a female vigilante, Tina Boland (Juliana Harkavy) he uncovered on-line who has been wreaking havoc all over the country.” Tina Boland… a vigilante with no code name. And the description of those who have seen her on the set is that she wears all black. Put that with the executive producer Wendy Mericle saying that Green Arrow needs Black Canary and the spoiler-ish trailer telling us that the Laurel Lance we've seen is the Earth-2 version… this is making people on-line question if Tina Boland will become the new Black Canary. Earth-1 Laurel asked Ollie to not let the Black Canary end with her. Only the Earth-2 Laurel solves the problem of the Canary Cry being natural, but having her go through a full redemption arc compared to bringing in a new character all together might make Tina the better choice. We know she ends up joining with Team Arrow against Prometheus… but will she do it in a familiar black outfit? Link:https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/01/16/new-female-vigilante-coming-arrow/      Arrow Will Have a Dolph Lundgren-Heavy Episode Set Mostly in the Russia Flashbacks This Season (Date: 17 Jan 2017) Action movie icon Dolph Lundgren will take center stage in an upcoming Arrow episode set almost entirely during the flashbacks later this season. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim told ComicBook.com that he and the writers were aware of the excitement fans have for both Lundgren and the Bratva flashbacks, as well as the additional social media attention on all things Russian just now, all of which makes the episode seem like a good way to fill in some backstory. "Russia is very much in the zeitgeist these days, and coming into the back half of the year, we're doing a lot more with Russia," Guggenheim told ComicBook.com. "We're going to do a Russia-centric episode, a flashback-centric episode like we did in the first three years of the show. We'll be doing that later on in the season and that will have Dolph Lundgren's character, Konstantin Kovar, very much front and center."Link:http://comicbook.com/2017/01/18/arrow-will-have-a-dolph-lundgren-heavy-episode-set-mostly-in-the/    Arrow Season 5 Extended Trailer - 'This Is Getting Good' (Date: 18 Jan 2017) The CW has just debuted a new trailer ahead of next week's new episode, and it focuses on the questions surrounding Laurel's sudden reappearance. After Oliver sees her, he begins to wonder if what he's seeing is real. The remaining issues surrounding Prometheus are still weighing heavy on Oliver and the team, and it sends him further into a state of disbelief. For anyone in that world, it's a difficult time to understand what's going on around you. In addition to the teasing of these complicated plot lines, the new trailer features a ton of action. In fact, we may be seeing some of the best action in the show's five-year run. The trailer ends with Wild Dog saying what many fans are thinking following the intense footage, "This is getting good!"Link:http://comicbook.com/2017/01/18/arrow-season-5-extended-trailer-this-is-getting-good/ Arrow Episode 16 Title Revealed By Executive Producer (Date: 19 Jan 2017) The episode is called "Checkmate," which Guggenheim assures does not refer to the spy agency formerly run by Maxwell Lord and Amanda Waller in the comics. Beth Schwartz and Sarah Tarkoff wrote the episode, which will be the directorial debut of Ken Shane, a veteran second unit director and assistant director who has not only worked on Arrow for years but also worked on Alien 3 and Tim Burton's Batman.Link:http://comicbook.com/2017/01/19/arrow-episode-16-title-revealed-by-executive-producer/   Title  (Date: xx month year) SummaryLink:http://comicbook.com/2017/01/19/arrow-episode-16-title-revealed-by-executive-producer/     GENERAL DC TV NEWS KEVIN SMITH TEASES NEW ALIEN SPECIES IN SUPERGIRL (Date: 17 Jan 2017) A photo was posted to Smith's Instagram page and shows him sandwiched in-between two menacing looking aliens. Those aliens, you might remember, were teased in the “Supergirl Lives” extended trailer that the CW released the other day. As it turns out, that alien species has a name, and they are Maaldorians. It seems like this particular alien species was created specifically for this episode, so it's unknown what the aspects and abilities of them will be. Whatever powers they may possess, it seems like Supergirl can still take them down with no problem, as she punches one with no hesitation in the trailer.Link:http://www.cbr.com/kevin-smith-teases-new-alien-species-in-supergirl/   Neil A FLASH ALUM TEASES UNEXPECTED RETURN (Date: 16 Jan 2017) When a television series frequently features time travel, alternate timelines and alternate universes, a character's death doesn't necessarily have the usual feeling of finality. Central City Police Detective Eddie Thawne after actor Rick Consett announced today that he's coming back to The CW drama. How Eddie Thawne finds himself back in Star City remains to be seen. The show was recently renewed for a fourth season, and given the nature of the space-time continuum, the guest roles could keep coming for Cosnett.Link:http://www.cbr.com/a-flash-alum-teases-unexpected-return/    Michelle SUPERGIRL TRAILER TEASES RETURN OF LIVEWIRE AND DOMINATORS (Date: 13 Jan 2017) Fortunately, a new trailer for The CW's “Supergirl” marks the return of the heroine for the second half of Season Two with the Kevin Smith-directed “Supergirl Lives,” which sees Kara Danvers, played by Melissa Benoist, and Mon-El, portrayed by Chris Wood, traveling to another world to break up an alien slaver's ring. The trailer also teases bigger events down the road. Long-running “Superman” villainess Livewire, played by Brit Morgan, will make her return, and it looks as if greater emphasis will be placed on Jimmy Olsen's (Mechad Brooks) costume identity Guardian. Link:http://www.cbr.com/supergirl-trailer-teases-return-of-livewire-and-dominators/    Chris Legends of Tomorrow star Wentworth Miller talks Captain Cold's return (Date: 11 Jan 2017) After sacrificing himself in season 1 to destroy the Time Council and save the Legends, Snart (Wentworth Miller) is slated to join Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), and Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) in the Legion of Doom — and not just as a vision in Mick's (Dominic Purcell) head. How? Well, it is a time travel show, and it sounds like the Legion may be scooping up Snart from an earlier time. “My sense is that if Snart comes back into the storyline via his present day incarnation, then he's a straight up villain,” Miller tells EW — the actor was on hand at the Television Critics Association's press tour Wednesday to promote the return of Prison Break. “He hasn't gone on that first season Legends of Tomorrow journey yet, so when we meet him again — quote unquote alive in 2017 — I imagine that he's going to be much like when we first met him the first season on The Flash, which I'm looking forward to, because it means I get to arc to a completely different place.”Link:http://ew.com/tv/2017/01/11/legends-of-tomorrow-star-wentworth-miller-captain-cold-return/   THE FLASH: THE FUTURE ISN'T WHAT IT USED TO BE IN EXTENDED TRAILER (Date: 17 Jan 2017) In this extended trailer for “Borrowing Problems from the Future,” the mid-season premiere, Barry and Cisco work backwards to prevent a future where Savitar kills Iris. HR Wells also toasts to Barry and Iris' relationship, and the team assembles to outsmart Savitar once and for all.Link:http://www.cbr.com/the-flash-barry-cisco-head-back-to-the-future-in-extended-trailer/    Michelle JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK: DEADMAN REACHES OUT TO BATMAN IN NEW CLIP (Date: 17 Jan 2017) Batman is in for a nasty surprise. In a new clip from “Justice League Dark,” Deadman reaches out for the Dark Knight's help, but he may just cross a boundary or two in order to do so. The clip opens as Bruce Wayne prepares for a shave. As soon as he touches his razor to his face, though, an unseen entity creeps up behind him, and he appears to be completely oblivious to its presence. When he becomes aware of it, it startles him enough that he cuts his cheek, and the pain causes him to look away for a brief moment. When he looks back up, he finds a name scrawled in the fogged up mirror: Constantine.Link:http://www.cbr.com/justice-league-dark-deadman-reaches-out-to-batman-in-new-clip/?utm_source=CBR-TW&utm_medium=Social-Distribution&utm_campaign=CBR-TW&view=list     Neil Kevin Smith Returning to Supergirl For Another Season 2 Episode (Date: 18 Jan 2017) Smith told ComicBook.com that he will return for a second episode this season -- the as-yet-untitled seventeenth episode of the season. Smith said that midway through the episode “Supergirl Lives”, producers started feeling out his schedule. Ultimately, they offered him episode 17, which he described as "sweet," saying that it was nice that producers liked the job he was doing enough to bring him back within the season.Link:http://comicbook.com/2017/01/18/kevin-smith-returning-to-supergirl-for-another-season-2-episode/?utm_source=Comicbook.com&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=170118_180220_Comicbook.com%20Daily%20Newsletter&utm_content=Link   GREEN ARROW COMICS & TOY NEWS DC COMICS RAISES PRICE FOR MONTHLY REBIRTH TITLES, ADDS DIGITAL CODES (Date: 17 Jan 2017) DC Comics will raise the prices of 15 of its monthly “Rebirth” series starting in April, with cover prices increasing from $2.99 to $3.99. The pair find the sunken ship with only Mick aboard in stasis, who tells them what happened after being revived. Rip's team—Mick, Ray, Sara, Jax, and Martin—traveled through time dealing with "aberrations" in history. They learned that a nuclear bomb would be detonated in New York City in 1942. The team discovered Damien Darhk, working with the Nazis, was behind the attack. Sara attempted to kill Darhk to prevent Laurel's death, but Darhk escaped and launched his sole atomic bomb toward New York from a U-boat. Rip chose to scatter the team throughout time, except for the injured Mick, to save their lives while he intercepted the bomb with the Waverider and saved New York. In the present, Mick and Nate use the Waverider to travel through time and rescue everyone, but fail to find any trace of Rip. After fixing events in 1942 to prevent the Nazis from making a nuclear bomb, the team is confronted by the Justice Society of America (JSA). Meanwhile, Darhk is shown to be working with Eobard Thawne.

Welcome back Legendaires! The anticipated Season 2 premiere did not disappoint! It was fun, fast-paced and set-up some big things for this season. We started the episode with the introduction of a brand new character, Dr. Nate Heywood, who has discovered our Legends are in trouble. He enlists the help of Oliver Queen to find the Waverider and discover what happened to the Legends. Aboard the Waverider, we find Mick Rory in stasis and are reminded of the closing scene of the finale where Rex Tyler encounters the Legends in 2016 to warn them about the dangers that lay ahead. Mick tells Oliver and Dr. Heywood what he remembers. We join our team in France at the court of King Louis XIII where they are protecting the King from assassins traveling through time and disrupting key points in history. Hilarity and violence ensue when the rogue time travelers pull out laser guns and attempt to assassinate the King. Our team engages the assassins with the full force of their capabilities to the confusion of those around them. Meanwhile, Sara is keeping the Queen of France occupied.  After successfully preventing the aberration, the team discusses their next destination aboard the Waverider. A time quake rocks the ship and Rip reveals that an A-bomb has destroyed New York in 1942, three years before the A-bomb was actually created. Despite Rex Tyler's warning of impending death, the team decides to travel to 1942 and prevent New York for being nuked by kidnapping Einstein. Meanwhile, Sara tracks down Damien Darkh in 1942 to kill him and avenge Laurel. Ray stops her before she can kill him and they discover that he is working with the Germans. After Stein, Rory and Rip kidnap Einstein, it is revealed that they have not saved New York and the aberration is still set to occur. Einstein reveals that his wife Mileva, is also capable of building an A-bomb and Darkh must have kidnapped her instead. The team sets off to confront Darkh and stop him from procuring the A-bomb. During the confrontation, Ray's suit cannot withstand the radiation for long enough to defuse the bomb and the team is forced to retreat without the bomb.  Darkh boards a U-boat with the A-bomb and arms a torpedo with it. Rip steers the Waverider into the ocean and follows the U-boat to stop the Germans from nuking New York. When they fail to stop the U-boat before the torpedo is launched, Rip uses the Time Scatter protocol to scatter the team throughout time. He then knocks out Rory and puts him in stasis since his injuries prevent him from traveling through time. The final scene of the flashback shows Rip aboard the Waverider and the bomb exploding. Back in present day, Oliver sends Dr. Heywood with Rory to find the rest of the team throughout history. The newest team member proceeds to find the Legends one by one throughout history and Mick pilots the Waverider to rescue them all. Once the team is assembled, Dr. Heywood reveals he cannot find any trace of Rip and Gideon plays his touching final message. Without Rip, our team makes one final change to history to ensure the Einstein's safety. As they are about to board the Waverider, they are stopped by four members of the JSA. Fight/stunt 3 Battle in the oculus chamber.  Lots of firing, heat gun, cold gun etc. Time travel: Thoughts on the tropes and mechanics Nice flashback to start, back to the recruiting scene in 2016 Great to see the team back before all the messing with the timeline Jax - “Something called time travel - the team's in trouble”.  Very Bill and Ted showing up in his own past once he's left the room. (Marty! It's your kids!) This timetravel model, there is no free will - only free will at the vanishing point Nothing you can do to change time?   Part 2: The Characters Rip Hunter Rate on a scale of 1 (Capt. of the Titanic - Edward John Smith) to 10 (the best - Picard) Freaking out with “NO ONE CONTROLS ME” which breaks him. “You lot guard the entrance”. I'm sorry, but is “you lot” the official way to address the crew. Well, it's either that or walk the plank Argggg! Shrinks Ray to carry him. Vandal Savage “An appointment I have… with Destiny” kinda sounds like an exotic dancer Execution of Rip's family - still murders Miranda and Jonas Time Masters The Reveal of the oculus and the reveal of the master manipulation of the entire crew Ordered Savage to kill Rip's family to motivate him.  Super dick move. Guy doing the induction process kinda enjoys it. Love the time ships preparing to jump in the hangar, like the rebel fleet about to attack the death star or the Mass Effect Pelicans getting ready for a combat drop or the Space Marines about to assault the Alien Queen with Ripley The Atom - Ray Palmer Still cares for Kendra - freaked out when she was shot by the prison guards. Continues the theme of believing in the face of adversity Interesting bonding with Mick & how he survived not being turned into Chronos “All I wanted to do was make a difference.”  Keeps working even though that's how he dies. White Canary - Sara Lance And she's a badass pilot.  “Punch it Gideon” “Want to steal a kiss from me… you better be one hell of a thief”.  Dammit, I really wanted these two to get together. - then the final kiss just kills me. Hawkgirl - Kendra Saunders Kinda loses it when she realizes Savage is going to kill Rip's family.  That was the whole point of the mission… well, that and saving the earth from Savage's destruction and reign. They arguably failed at all of that and made it worse. No barista reference. Hawkman - Carter Hall In stasis - not in this episode Captain Cold - Leonard Snart I freakin' love Snart in the past Dammit - I want an entire show of just Sara and Snart “There are no strings on me”  Frickin beautiful line. He was a hero. Heatwave - Mick Rory Soliloquy when faced with becoming Chronos again - “I focused on vengeance. I focused on how much I hated all of you” “Oh yeah, that's good… break my arms” - Mick has the best lines “For a time master, you sure waste a lot of it” Executes the a**-hole time master “Get me out of this stupid robot suit” “If you tell the team I actually care, I'll shave your head” - focused on the team Firestorm - Professor Martin Stein Arrogant interaction with Jax in the past Nice speech to Jax about something having gone right on the mission re: Jefferson maturing and he being less of an asshat. Firestorm - Jefferson Jackson “It's the best decision I never made.” re: being roofied and going on the mission. Waverider/Gideon Calls on the ye olde fashioned phone - uploaded into the latency core. Love the firing effects on the vanishing point   EPISODE DC EASTER EGGS:   Season 1 Episode 15 “Destiny” (Date: 12 May 2016) Article:http://comicbook.com/dc/2016/05/13/legends-of-tomorrow-things-you-might-have-missed-in-destiny/ Thanagar: Legends of Tomorrow made Thanagarians - DC's alien hawkman species and home to Nth Metal with strong ties to Hawkgirl and Hawkman, this just became cannon for the DC TV Universe.  Lots of comic references and lore, and on the cartoon Justice League Unlimited Smugglers Hatch: Pretty obvious reference to Star Wars and the Millennium Falcon Time Sphere: When Jax heads back to 2016, we get a look at he and Martin working on the Time Sphere that was broken in the season finale of The Flash last year.  In the comics, the Time Sphere (also sometimes called a Time Bubble) was the primary means of time-travel used by Rip Hunter, Time Master...as well as Booster Gold, The Legion of Super-Heroes, and other characters. “I'll shave your head”: The threat Mick uses against Ray -- that he'll "shave your head" -- is presumably a nod to the fact that all season long, he's referred to Ray as "haircut.". “No strings on me”: Iconic Pinocchio line, used by Ultron in the second avengers movie Tabula Rasa: While "Tabula rasa" has a broader cultural meaning outside of DC Comics, meaning "blank slate," as explained by Ray…  it's worth noting that there are two major DC Comics uses of the phrase: one is a Batman story in which he is forced to work with Bane -- and the other is an organization in the Wildstorm universe whose actual name is Tabula Rasa.
