A new week is here and that means the gang from the Real Life Podcast is back with a brand new episode to help you get through the rest of your Monday. On today's podcast, the guys looked at the NFL playoffs, the Battle of Alberta, the Metaverse, and a whole lot more. To kick off the Monday episode of Real Life, the boys got started with a look at the Jasper Pond Hockey tournament that's kicking off this weekend and how everyone is incredibly excited to get on the ice. With that excitement out of the way, Baggedmilk turned the conversation towards yesterday's Bills playoff loss as everyone was wondering how he handled such a crushing defeat. Getting to some good news, the guys then covered Saturday's Battle of Alberta win and spoke at length about how much everyone surrounding the Oilers needed that win. Even with that win, the guys on the podcast wondered if the Oilers still need to add more meat to their lineup to make sure they're not getting pushed around at all. From there, the podcast turned back towards the Metaverse and chatted about whether or not the guys would be interested in participating in events that weren't "real" even though they felt like it. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the podcast with a story about how Jay managed to get the Oilersnation Instagram account back after two years in the dark.

A new week is here and that means the gang from the Real Life Podcast is back with a brand new episode to help you get through the rest of your Monday. Today, the guys looked at the Oilers' continuous struggles, provided a Chicago Mix update, and a whole lot more. To kick off the episode of Real Life, the boys got started with a look at Saturday night's loss to the Ottawa Senators and how it was such a deflating loss, especially after carrying a two-goal lead into the third period. No matter how you slice it, everything that could go wrong has gone wrong lately, and with a very tough schedule coming up, the guys are trying to figure out what comes next. Needless to say, the vibes around here are anything but positive right now. Getting away from the Oilers, the guys dove into their Wordle strategies as the daily word game continues to take over the Internet right now. Is everyone playing? Do the guys have strategies? From there, the guys dove into a conversation from last Thursday's podcast about Chicago Mix after Real Life listener, Electronic Jordan, went to Costco and provided the kind of research that was desperately needed. As you'll hear, Electronic Jordan put in the work on this assignment and the results were truly incredible. Back to sports, the boys looked at a very busy NFL weekend as the playoffs kicked off and the bets were flying. Lastly, the guys wrapped up this week's podcast with a look ahead at the Winter Olympics as everyone on the podcast is looking for something to get excited about after a very tough month of Oilers fandom has started to drag them down.

A new episode of The Real Life Podcast is here! Today on the show, the gang kicked things off by getting into a really deep discussion about the dreams they've been having recently, how often they remember their dreams, and what they could mean. It was definitely a weird way to start the pod. After that, Chalmers shared a new TV series that he's been hooked too and then finally, the group dug into the struggling Edmonton Oilers. Jay and Yaremchuk are FED UP with the way the team has been playing. They show little heart, their effort is inconsistent, and the results don't look like they're going to get better. Jay wants changes NOW! They also gave our their Trades Link hardest worker of the week award. To wrap things up, they looked back at 2021 and shared some of the favourite podcast memories that listeners shared over the last few days. They also looked ahead to a great memory that they're looking forward to making in early 2022 with Tourism Jasper! All of that and more in episode 342 of The Real Life Podcast! ENJOY!

Another Thursday has landed on our calendars and the boys are back with a fresh Real Life Podcast to help you get into the Christmas break. Today, the boys talked about what happened on the Christmas break, the Oilers' return, and a whole lot more. To kick off the Thursday episode of Real Life, the podcast got started with a look at the Christmas break and what everyone got up to with a couple of well-deserved days off. From there, the guys looked back at the year 2021 and offered up some of the lessons they learned over the past 12 months and whether there were any positives to be pulled from what was another trying year. The guys also looked ahead at 2022 and offered up some New Years' resolutions for the Edmonton Oilers as work their way into a new calendar year. Sticking with the Oilers, the guys looked at what the team needs and whether or not there's any possibility of a trade happening in the coming weeks that sends a message to the squad that they need to be better. As the conversation progressed, however, it seemed like there isn't much hope among the boys that the current management group has the stones or the resources to pull off the moves that need to get done. Are the boys wrong? Only time will tell, but the Oilers are very quickly erasing all of the goodwill they built from themselves in the early portion of the season and that's a trend that desperately needs to change.

To kick off the Thursday episode of Real Life, the podcast got started with a look at Festivus and that meant the boys had a chance to air their grievances and share their feats of strength. Seeing as COVID poked its ugly head into the Christmas season for the second straight year, there's no doubt that Omicron was high up on everyone's list of grievances. Seeing as the NHL may or may not actually be back for the 27th as planned, the lack of sports had some of the guys betting on games they wouldn't otherwise be interested in. The guys also talked about the Jasper pond hockey tournament that kicks off in late January and how the boys are pumped to get back into the tournament after a few years away. A brand new week has arrived on our calendars and that means the gang from the Real Life Podcast is back with a brand new episode to help you get through what's left of your week before the Christmas break. Today, the guys looked at the NHL schedule postponement, shows to watch with no hockey, and a whole lot more. To kick off the episode of Real Life, the boys got started with an update about the mouse situation at Wanye Manor in 2021 and how things have evolved over the last months since we last checked in. Somehow the mouse talk led to a conversation about the moon landing and how not everyone on the show is quite so certain that things went down the way we were told. Unsurprisingly, talking about moon landing conspiracy theories led the boys down a strange path of talking about TV shows to watch now that there's no hockey for the next week or so. From mountain climbing documentaries to survival shows and everything in between, this was about as random of a 20-minute segment as you'll get on the Real Life Podcast. Getting back to hockey, the guys wanted to talk a little bit about how the Oilers getting back in the win column with a pair of gutsy wins over the Blue Jackets and Kraken. Seeing as some key contributors were placed on COVID protocol over the last week, the boys wanted to close out the Monday episode with some props for the team as they desperately needed to get back in the win column.

Another Thursday has landed on the calendar and that means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with a brand new episode of the show to help you get you through, and this week, they're talking AirPods, Kool-Aid season in Oil Country, and a whole lot more. Kicking off this week's podcast, Baggedmilk and Tyler got the podcast going while the rest of the crew either bailed or had an impossible time trying to join the zoom call, making for a ridiculously disjointed open to the podcast. After finally making his way into the podcast, Jay explained why he's having an impossible time joining the zoom call and how that led him to buy a second pair of AirPods, potentially welching on a deal he made with Baggedmilk to sell him the old headphones if he found them. Are there shenanigans afoot? It looks that way. Getting into Oilers Kool-Aid season, the guys talked about some of the futures bets you can put down on the team right now, and whether or not they'd be willing to put their own money down on bets like McDavid for Hart, Oilers to win, Draisaitl for Hart, and a whole lot more. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with a little bit of football talk as the NFL season kicks off tonight, prompting the boys to launch another round of football betting and prop picks.

Seeing as this was the first time Tyler has played voicemails in a little while, the conversation turned to whether or not the podcast needs more static segments or if it's better to fly by the seat of our pants. Getting away from the structure almost immediately, the guys spent a few minutes recapping what's been going on in the Big Brother house as the season has finally started to get interested.
