15 stycznia 2019 roku. Ze stolicy Kenii napływają przerażające informacje i zdjęcia. Luksusowy hotel DusitD2 stał się celem ataku terrorystycznego. Materiały wideo pokazują ludzi, którzy w panice uciekają z okolicznych budynków, a w tle słychać strzały.
The bandmates have assembled—well, most of them—and chaos follows. In this unhinged but heartfelt episode of Let's Commiserate, Sam is joined by fellow bandmates Kyle and Clay for a whirlwind discussion that veers from musical commitment issues to All-State trumpet trauma… before spiraling into a full-blown Star Wars therapy session. Somehow, it ends with a group therapy session over the Juke phone and the PG-13 rating.

227: Pt. 2 Reset Your Marketing Mindset | Dr. Dave JonesInThis part two Dr. Dave, the hockey-player-turned-high-performance-coach, shares his proven strategy to rock your marketing…and your business & life.Be sure to catch his story in part one if you missed it.We dove into everything from mindsets to marketing to miracles, and I came out with my hair blown back (in the best way). Dr. Dave dropped his powerful R7 Framework, a game-changing process for success. Vision, strategy, branding—it's all there. Our convo was rich, real, and ridiculously practical. Whether you're launching a business, a ministry, or just trying to make sense of your next move—grab a pen, and let's go!BIO RECAP:Dave is a sports consultant who coaches CEOs, executives, professional athletes to help achieve their vision, by executing and developing mental skills training, and enhancing thought blocking techniques. He works with organization leaders on their strategy, execution and communication, and managing the gaps between employees and management. As a thought leader and highly motivated individualDave engages executive teams by consulting on analytics, oversight of talent initiatives, and one-on-one coaching. He helps leaders improve the effectiveness of their organizations, by utilizing practices such as strategic planning, mental skills training, organizational assessment, and team interventions.HIGHLIGHTS:1.Growth mindset = God's setup for breakthroughDr. Dave breaks it down: if you're not open to learning and growing, you're basically blocking the upgrade God wants to give you. A growth mindset says, “There's more!” A fixed mindset says, “I've arrived.” Spoiler alert: God loves working with people who still think there's more to discover.2. Reset your people, reset your pathThis one hits deep—if you don't like where you're headed, it might be time to check your circle. You're the average of your top three friends. Want to level up? Surround yourself with folks who are spiritually and financially rich, who think bigger and dream Kingdom-sized dreams.3. R7 is the roadmap for real resultsDr. Dave's “R7” framework isn't just a snappy name—it's a powerhouse process that includes steps like Reset, Destiny, Vision, Strategy, Brand, Communication, Prayer, and Action. It's doing the work of digging that ends up with a rock-solid foundation for your life and business.4. Biblical principles are baked into the blueprintProverbs 15:10, “In the multitude of counsel there is wisdom,” isn't just good advice—it's part of the strategy. Dr. Dave works with Christian leaders and makes sure God's Word is woven into the work. Pride is out, humility and wise counsel are in.5. Don't Skip the Strategy—Creative Alone Won't Cut ItJumping straight into branding and creative assets without first locking in your vision and strategy is like lighting a match in a windstorm. It flares up fast... and burns out just as quick. Want long-term impact? Slow burn with a solid strategy.6. Want to Cut Through the Noise? Use Hero vs. VillainWe're swimming in 17,000+ impressions a day (yikes), and our attention span is toast. To break through, create a clear narrative. People connect emotionally when there's a hero and a villain. Bonus tip: the hero doesn't need to be perfect, but the villain better be memorable.7. Your Brand Isn't What You Say—It's What They FeelYour brand isn't just your logo or color palette. It's every touchpoint—email, website, tone of voice—all rolled into one emotional experience. People either feel a connection... or they don't. The goal? Be intentional, or your brand will still say something, just maybe not what you want.8. Make Them the Hero—You're the GuideMajor mindset shift: You are not the hero of your brand story. Your audience is. Whether it's a customer, donor, or guest—they need to feel like the center of the journey. Your job? Be their guide. Think Yoda, not Luke. Be the Obi-Wan of your niche.9. Pray, Think, and Taste-Test Your VisionDon't just slap your mission, vision, and brand together and call it done. Like chili, it might look good in the pot, but does it taste right? Take a step back, pray over it, reflect, and ask, “Lord, is this really what You want me to cook up?” (Bonus: Ask yourself—should I start, stop, or continue?)10. God Might Pull the Plug—and That's OkayEven after investing time and money, sometimes God just says “Nope.” Dr. Dave reminds us: that's not failure—it's divine redirection. You're not alone if a seemingly great opportunity gets shut down. It happens to the best of us.11. Ask the Big 5-Year QuestionBefore jumping in, ask God: “Is this what I'm supposed to be doing for the next 5 years?” This isn't just a weekend project. If you're going to commit, make sure heaven's backing it.12. Don't Just Dream—Test It OutA/B testing isn't just for marketers. Send your ideas into the wild—get feedback, observe reactions, tweak and repeat. Whether it's formal surveys or just gauging real responses, testing brings clarity.13. Take Action (But Not First!)Action is step 7, not step 1. Don't jump the gun. Lay the foundation first, then move. Faith isn't passive—yes, you've got to move—but not without preparation. God can move a parked car, but He'd rather you turn the ignition.LINKS for DR. For this episode, we asked our MTK Patrons what Obi-Wan related topic would they like us to cover, and of course they delivered! We received several amazing answers (which we will cover in future episodes), but the one that we decided to cover this week is to discuss (and defend) Obi-Wan's famous line from "Empire Strikes Back", the one that has become rather controversial across the fandom: "from a certain point of view." Was it really an acceptable explanation to give Luke? What had happened if Obi-Wan DID tell Luke, plainly, who his father was early on? Would it have changed the course of what we know today? CAN the line be defended at all? You'll find out what we have to say on the matter in this episode. The Brothers Krynn return to share their fan fiction idea, The Kenobi Timeline. Inspired by the Legends novel, Secrets of the Jedi, the story follows the what-if scenario of Obi-Wan and Obi-Wan's lover, Siri secretly having a child. From there events unfold unexpectedly, especially with lesser-known companions of Anakin and Obi-Wan who are the focus of the narrative. Each of these characters has a fully fleshed-out backstory with motivations that weave into but never contradict the events of the Prequels. This week, Jackie and Danielle welcome their hilarious and insightful guest Maria to help break down the most melodramatic space opera in the galaxy: Revenge of the Sith. From Anakin's “I'm not like the other Jedi” energy to Padmé dying of what can only be described as emotional inconvenience, no moment is safe from their lovingly savage commentary. Maria dives in lightsaber-first with hot takes, unforgettable quotes, and a deep suspicion that the Jedi Council's HR department was just Palpatine in a robe. Yoda's vague advice? Dragged. Obi-Wan's “you were the chosen one” meltdown? Roasted to a crisp—kind of like Anakin.Together, the trio tackles the fashion, the feelings, and the flaming chaos of the final prequel with the perfect blend of fan love and side-eye. They ask the hard questions: Did Anakin spiral or sprint to the Dark Side? And most importantly, why does Palpatine look like a microwaved raisin in a velvet cape? Whether you're a prequel apologist or just here for the memes, this episode is your one-stop shop for cathartic laughter, galactic gossip, and a lot of underacting.·Season 5 Episode 4·—No More Late Fees 909-601-NMLF (6653)—Follow Us on Social:InstagramTikTokFacebookYoutubeTwitterBlue Sky—CONQUERing10% Off Code: JACKIE10—NostaBeauty20% Off Code: NMLF—MariaInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mariawatcheseverything/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mariawatcheseverything—Maria's Previous EpisodesBend it Like Beckhamhttps://nomorelatefeespodcast.com/episode/bend-it-like-beckhamKickin' it with Mariahttps://nomorelatefeespodcast.com/episode/kickin-it-with-mariaHoleshttps://nomorelatefeespodcast.com/episode/holesDiggin' it with Mariahttps://nomorelatefeespodcast.com/episode/diggin-it-with-mariaStar Wars Episode 2 - Attack of the Cloneshttps://nomorelatefeespodcast.com/episode/star-wars-episode-2-attack-of-the-clonesVillain Worship: Ranking the Hottest Movie Baddies with Mariahttps://nomorelatefeespodcast.com/episode/villain-worship-ranking-the-hottest-movie-baddies-with-maria
We jump back in time and discuss Outboud Flight. Jorus C'baoth is determined to get Outbound Flight off the ground, while Palpatine plans to destroy it and all the Jedi on board. In the Unknown Regions, Jorj Car'das comes into contact with an unknown species, the Chiss. The group he meets is led by a young commander named Thrawn. And for some reason, Obi-Wan and Anakin are in this book for the first two-thirds of it.

Ding ding ding!!!! Ladies and gentlemen and children of all ages!!! Welcome to tonight's fights. We have a heck of a show for you with people punching people and hilarious hijinks. Hold onto your beer, cause it is going to get foamy. The 1985 film Gymkata set out to answer the question: is gymnastics a kick-ass martial arts style? The film then quickly answered that question with a resounding "no." Though Austin Powers eventually won the fight in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Mini Me definitely messed him up. The round two battle of Austin Powers in Goldmember, however, was all Austin. The fight scene from They Live is both epic and completely ludicrous. . Both men landed devastating blows, but no matter what, they kept getting up. Every time the fight seemed settled, it started back up again for another brutal round. No person could possibly take the beating Frank and Nada gave each other. The 2004 adaptation of The Punisher is a very dark tale of a man getting revenge for the murder of his family. The battle between Frank Castle and The Russian packs the punches and the laughs. Frank's gun is no good because the Russian bends the barrel, and even a grenade proves useless. The comedy comes from the question of what it takes to defeat the Russian. As it turns out, a pot of boiling water does the trick. The Clone Wars is often regarded as one of the weakest films in the Star Wars franchise, and part of that could be the completely ridiculous Anikan Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi lightsaber duel against Count Dooku. Obi-Wan is easily incapacitated and Anakin gets his hand cut off during some of the lamest choreography in the franchise. As if the fight wasn't silly enough, Yoda comes in to save the day, and none of his flips or moves is enough to defeat Dooku. Picking the funniest fight scene from Kung Fu Hustle is like choosing the most unsettling scene from Human Centipede; there are so many to select from. The Landlady and her husband, the Landlord, are Kung Fu masters, but they are no match for the legendary assassin, the Beast. Each ridiculous attack launched by the couple is thwarted by the Beast in an even more hysterical fashion. The fight plays out like a Three Stooges slapstick comedy with over-the-top martial arts violence. In the movie Airplane!, Captain Oveur inappropriately asks Joey if he likes movies about Gladiators, and the fight scene from Spartacus is almost certainly why. The 1960 Stanley Kubrick classic features plenty of oily combat that was more like dancing than fighting, but the Spartacus/Draba match-up was the least convincing. What was supposed to be a fight to the death looked more like two sweaty guys trying really hard not to hurt each other. All of this lazy choreography was sluggishly executed by grown men in diapers, making it one of the most unintentionally funny fight scenes in cinematic history. Of course, I am just cribbing from CBR (https://www.cbr.com/funny-movie-fight-scenes-ranked/). But that is because I am lazy. The Brothers Krynn come back on the pod to share their fan fiction idea, The Kenobi Timeline. Obi-Wan Kenobi is known across the galaxy by many titles, but none more renowned or unique as "The Negotiator". The way he was able to first observe and think through a situation and then manage that situation with his word was a characteristic he undoubtedly excelled at. We dive into examples from across Star Wars media that contributed to him earning this title, but we also ask the question: were times where his skill for negotiating and being diplomatic was *not* successful? In this episode of Star Wars Generations, host Matthew takes control to discuss his favorite episodes from Season 1 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, specifically episodes 11–14. These episodes cover two distinct arcs: the "Dooku Captured" storyline and the Lurmen episodes, "Jedi Crash" and "Defenders of Peace."The first arc introduces fans to the infamous pirate Hondo Ohnaka as he captures Count Dooku, then subsequently captures Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker when they come to verify Dooku's imprisonment. The hosts discuss how this storyline showcases the comedic potential of The Clone Wars through the witty banter between Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Dooku. They examine how this arc highlights characters who aren't invested in the war but are simply trying to profit from it.What does the Lurmen arc reveal about Jedi philosophy? The hosts explore how the second storyline presents thought-provoking questions about war, peace, and the Jedi Order's role as "peacekeepers." When Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, and Aayla Secura crash-land on a planet inhabited by the pacifist Lurmen, they encounter a society that challenges their fundamental beliefs about violence and defense.Topics the hosts discussed:How Hondo Ohnaka's introduction marks a memorable debut despite his character evolving significantly in later appearancesWhether the strict pacifism of the Lurmen is portrayed as admirable or impracticalHow Ahsoka serves as an audience surrogate for young viewers grappling with complex ethical questionsWhat Tee Watt Kaa's challenge to Aayla Secura about true peacekeeping reveals about the Jedi's contradictionsThe episode concludes with the hosts looking forward to upcoming discussions, including their book club covering Mask of Fear from the Reign of the Empire series and their planned coverage of Andor Season 2 when it releases next month. **************************************************************************This episode is a production of Star Wars Generations, a The Ethical Panda Podcast and part of the TruStory FM Entertainment Podcast Network. Donald Trump's second term does not look like his first. In his Super Bowl interview with Brett Baier, Trump admitted that back in 2017, he was a New York guy, a novice to Washington, D.C., and all but confessed that he stepped on every rake in sight. He appointed the wrong people, got caught up in the wrong traps, and was unable to effectively govern. To the casual observer, it may seem like not much has changed—Trump was causing chaos then, and he's causing chaos now. But this show understands the difference: Previously, chaos happened to him; now, he is the one orchestrating it. His agenda is taking direct aim at the centers of government he believes he was sent back to reform. Agencies long targeted by conservatives are now being affected—slashed, possibly shuttered. This is a direct assault on the structure of the federal government as it has been known, something many have promised but only Trump has aggressively pursued. If we can't compare what we've seen over the last month to any prior sitting president, what historical precedents can we look to? I submit to you the year 1992 and three figures whose political strategies echo what we see in Trump today: Pat Buchanan, Ross Perot, and Bill Clinton.First, Buchanan. No one brought the conversation about immigration into the modern presidential sphere quite like him. Though his 1992 challenge to incumbent George H.W. Bush was short-lived, his influence endured. Buchanan's rhetoric on immigration laid the groundwork for the hardline stance Trump would take in 2016. One of his biggest issues was the interpretation of the 14th Amendment regarding birthright citizenship, arguing that the phrase "under the jurisdiction thereof" meant only legal citizens should have offspring automatically granted citizenship. Now, Trump is doing something Buchanan only talked about: actively challenging birthright citizenship.Next, Ross Perot. If there is one historical figure whose message about government size and spending echoes through Trump's current actions, it is Perot. Running as an independent in 1992, Perot famously railed against the national debt, which then stood at $4 trillion—a fraction of today's $34 trillion. His colorful metaphors, like calling the debt a "crazy aunt we keep in the basement," helped him connect with voters who felt Washington was bloated and inefficient. He championed the idea of running the government like a business—sound familiar? Both men also shared a deep distrust of federal agencies. Perot famously quit his campaign in 1992, alleging that the CIA had infiltrated his operation, convinced that President George H.W. Bush, a former CIA director, was behind it. One can only imagine a President Perot would have pursued intelligence reforms as aggressively as Trump is now targeting the Justice Department and FBI.Perot, however, never won. Nor did Buchanan. But one man did in 1992: Bill Clinton. Initially, I planned to focus on just Buchanan and Perot, but our friend Michael Cohen recently made a compelling case for why Trump's current approach also parallels Clinton. While Clinton focused on large-scale economic policies, he also knew how to capture public attention with wedge issues—ones that were more symbolic than substantive but extremely popular. In 1996, he championed the V-chip, a device to block violent content on TV, and pushed for school uniforms to combat youth violence. Neither policy had a significant impact, but they polled above 70%, making them politically beneficial.Trump is using a similar playbook. His recent executive orders—banning men from women's sports and bringing back plastic straws—affect relatively few people in practical terms, yet they are wildly popular. These 70-30 issues serve as the sugar that makes the medicine go down, keeping the public engaged while larger, more complex reforms take shape. They also bait his political opponents into fighting battles where he holds the high ground— Obi-Wan style. At its core, Trump's approach today mirrors Clinton's in how it connects emotionally with voters. Is there really much of a difference between “Make America Great Again” and “I feel your pain”?Chapters00:00:00 – Intro00:02:17 – Trump's Second Term: Chaos or Competence?00:04:12 – 1992 as a Parallel to Trump's 47th Presidency00:15:30 – Update00:17:53 – Judicial Roadblocks Against Trump's Agenda00:21:31 – International News: Ukraine and Gaza Updates00:26:12 – Guest Interview: Kirk Bado from National Journal 00:31:36 – The Looming Government Shutdown00:39:52 – The Media's Role and Chilling Effects00:46:07 – Nancy Mace: Political Calculations or Genuine Outcry?01:16:45 – Closing Remarks This is a public episode.
