Gil and Jesus talk for a few moments about the immigration protests happening now in America. Gil receives a tip about another employee that is allegedly spending a lot of time with the Boss. Gil discovers he and Jesus have been preemptively blocked on social media by this Rafi employee. Come to find out this RLG employee is loitering in Gil's building in downtown phoenix. WHOSE WATCHING ME?Gil asks Raees to ask all RLG employees to stop visiting his places of business. Gil is reminded by Creed III movie with Jose Benevidez that his promoter reached out last year to set up a celebrity boxing match. GIl shares with his audience that he is open to a celebrity boxing match with BBR. In fairness Gil says BBR can bring a second person into the ring to make the match even.

In this episode we learn that mediation didn't resolve the parties differences. We find out that Brandon has avoided being deposed. Raees Mohamed may soon be replaced as Brandon Rafi's lead counsel on the bomb threat case. Rafi employees are being supplemented to the lawsuit to question their involvement with Mr. Rafi and RLG.
The Federal Compliant by RLG is a classic case of looking in the mirror. YC and WK both get left at the altar. The truth always comes out... and the WhoIsGilNegrete lawsuit? It's coming. Stay ready.
In this episode we read an affidavit signed by Hector Sanchez from December of 2024 alleging he's been scared of Gil Negrete since June 2, 2022. Gil shares that since the soccer game in 2022, he and Hector have hung out and spent time playing golf. Some 30 months later Bill files a police report against Gil and enlists the help of his assistant, Hector, to lie under oath and allege he's suddenly become deathly afraid of Gil dating back to June of 2022. Very peculiar of a Rafi employee to make false allegations against Gil in a statement some 30 months after the alleged incident. We also reshare the song heard around the World in July 2022 by local rap artist that depicts the shenanigans of BBL Rafi. “Why they name it after you, that white boy running up your practice.” ‘There's certain shit you never should do, I heard in law school your wife was doing better than you.” Years later the lyrics sound awfully familiar to the real life version of the so-called owner of RLG.

Link to bioRxiv paper: http://biorxiv.org/cgi/content/short/2020.07.07.191262v1?rss=1 Authors: Weightman Potter, P. G., Washer, S., Jeffries, A. R., Holley, J. E., Gutowski, N. J., Dempster, E. L., Beall, C. Abstract: Aims/hypothesis: Recurrent hypoglycaemia (RH) is a major side-effect of intensive insulin therapy for people with diabetes. Changes in hypoglycaemia sensing by the brain contribute to the development of impaired counterregulatory responses to and awareness of hypoglycaemia. Little is known about the intrinsic changes in human astrocytes in response to acute and recurrent low glucose (RLG) exposure. Methods: Human primary astrocytes (HPA) were exposed to zero, one, three or four bouts of low glucose (0.1 mmol/l) for three hours per day for four days to mimic RH. On the fourth day, DNA and RNA were collected. Differential gene expression and ontology analyses were performed using DESeq2 and GOseq respectively. DNA methylation was assessed using the Infinium MethylationEPIC BeadChip platform. Results: 24 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were detected (after correction for multiple comparisons). One bout of low glucose exposure had the largest effect on gene expression. Pathway analyses revealed that endoplasmic-reticulum (ER) stress-related genes such as HSPA5, XBP1, and MANF, involved in the unfolded protein response (UPR), were all significantly increased following LG exposure, which was diminished following RLG. There was little correlation between differentially methylated positions and changes in gene expression yet the number of bouts of LG exposure produced distinct methylation signatures. Conclusions/interpretation: These data suggest that exposure of human astrocytes to transient LG triggers activation of genes involved in the UPR linked to endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. Following RLG, the activation of UPR related genes was diminished, suggesting attenuated ER stress. This may be mediated by metabolic adaptations to better preserve intracellular and/or ER ATP levels, but this requires further investigation. Copy rights belong to original authors. Managed accounts have been around for a while in workplace retirement plans. However, according to my guest Jason Roberts, the founder and chief executive officer of the Pension Resource Institute, a consulting firm that delivers compliance, training and technology-based solutions to financial institutions and plan fiduciaries, we are on the verge of major transition to managed accounts 2.0 which will have benefits and implications for retirement plans, employers and plan participants. We logically start with what a managed account is, some general pros and cons, how they differ from target date funds and more. Then we delve into the what managed accounts 2.0 will look like, how this could lead to high utilization as default funds in retirement plans, benefit participants and the fiduciary implications for employers. Jason, who is also the founder and managing partner of Retirement Law Group, a law firm specializing in ERISA, tax and investment related matters shares thoughts on how to monitor managed account providers and why the DOL tips for target date funds could apply and how tips is probably understated.
