The Hell Hole Trail isn't extremely difficult but there is one section that is really hard. Jimmy claims it is as difficult as the hardest part on little sluice on the Rubicon Trail. He wheeled down to this section five years ago but had to turn around due to time and the buddy he was with wasn't going to make it any further. Tyler and Jimmy took Bobcat out the the Marlin Crawler Roundup (MCR). On our way in we were able to hang out with the Yokohama Tire crew as they were on a day trip into the Rubicon Trail. Once they were at their turn-around spot, little Sluce, Tyler, and Jimmy left the group and continued on their way. Arriving at Rubicon Springs they quickly set up their camps because it was about to dump rain on top of everyone. The iconic Rubicon Trail is colosed. After what has been deemed an illegal closer done by El Dorado County Parks and Rec. The Board of Supervisors has retroactively approved the closer due to their granted power because of the county's State of Emergency. Now making the Rubicon Trail is closed for the next 60 to 120 days. From the Rubicon Trail to the Rubicon Trail to Fordyce Creek Trail for Sierra Trek these past two weeks have been an outstanding whirlwind adventure.
