La ciencia ficción contemporánea le debe mucho a una escritora del siglo XIX colombiano: Soledad Acosta de Samper. Hoy viene una gran teórica y crítica del tema, Teresa López-Pellisa y nos lleva a un viaje hacia lo insólito y conocer quién fue esta escritora. Nacida en 1833 en Bogotá, Acosta de Samper fue una escritora y pensadora que mediante elementos narrativos como la distopia hizo una crítica de la ola de modernidad que estaba llegando a su país. En sus cuentos enfrenta las visiones de progreso y tradición, con una mirada esceptica que pone el dedo en la llaga de la conversación política y social de la época. En 1878 funda la revista La mujer que muestra su visión desde un feminismo católico de las consecuencias que el progreso y la idea de la mujer moderna podría tener. Acosta de Samper empieza a publicar sus primeros libros en los mismos años que aparecen libros como María de Jorge Issacs. Algunos títulos de ese momento son: Dolores (1867) y Teresa la limeña (1868). Más tarde vienen otros libros como: Biografías de hombres ilustres o notables relativas a la época del descubrimiento, conquista y colonización de la parte de América denominada actualmente E.E.U.U. de Colombia (1883), Los piratas en Cartagena: crónicas histórico novelescas (1886), y La mujer en la sociedad moderna (1895).

Ayer el expresidente Leonel Fernández se ocupó de explicar ampliamente su participación en el proceso electoral de Venezuela que, para él, culminó con un regreso accidentado en un vuelo privado que llegó al país con un retraso de cinco horas al aeropuerto Joaquín Balaguer. La explicación era necesaria dado que el entorno de Fernández consideró que su participación en el proceso venezolano lesionó su imagen y que incluso esa lesión fue provocada desde el partido de gobierno. Igual que el comunicado  que emitió la madrugada del martes de manera conjunta con el también ex presidente Ernesto Samper, el artículo de ayer tiene más antecedentes que data actual. 18 párrafos son de antecedentes y 9 de la información que corresponde al proceso del 29 de julio. Los antecedentes claro está son protagonizados por Fernandez en distintos procesos. El martes en la mañana les dije a ustedes que sorprendía el comunicado de Fernández y Samper porque aunque terminaba con un llamado a la  transparencia y publicación de las actas, las primeras dos páginas estaban dedicadas a validar el proceso.  El mismo martes en la tarde les dije que el expresidente llegaba al país en un vuelo de la empresa Panorama que forma parte del grupo Helidosa. De hecho en las redes sociales circuló el meme de que un avión de Gonzalo traía a Leonel. Siempre les digo que me ocupo de verificar las informaciones que les comparto y ese día dos fuentes me confirmaron el nombre de la línea y el destino del vuelo. HOY debo decir que esa información era real pero no en relación a LF no era la verdad. El avión de Panorama salió de RD voló a Caracas y regresó pero no con LF sino con un empresario venezolano que contrató sus servicios y lo llevó a Punta Cana. Leonel Fernández llegó al país por el aeropuerto Joaquín Balaguer en un vuelo de la empresa Skycana y dijo que el servicio se lo agradecía a un amigo. Ayer un cabo me informó que el amigo de Fernández fue el gobierno dominicano que pagó el servicio y que si alguien lo duda que pida la factura. Como todo lo confirmo, busqué mis otras fuentes del sector, algunas de las cuales están en el chat, y el cabo tiene toda la razón. Creo que el gobierno dominicano tiene el deber de garantizar la seguridad de todos los ciudadanos y más si es un expresidente de la República. La pregunta es porqué LF no agradeció a quien realmente pagó y le atribuyó la gracia a un amigo. Habrá que interpretar que el amigo está en la doctor Báez.

En ‘Esquilo y remuga' les contaremos también que el departamento de Agricultura, Ganadería y Alimentación del Gobierno de Aragón ha lanzado un servicio de recogida gratuita de lana para los ganaderos de ovino.En ‘Agua y regadíos de Aragón' repasaremos el informe de seguimiento del Plan Hidrológico de la cuenca del Ebro para el curso 2022/23 que evidencia que la falta de lluvias redujo la actividad agraria durante ese periodo, aunque se pudieron mantener los caudales ecológicos en el 93% de las estaciones de control.Esta semana tenía luga una visita de inspectores chinos con el objetivo de comprobar sistema de monitoreo y control de plagas que se lleva a cabo en Aragón, así como evaluar nuestro estatus fitosanitario para abrir la exportación de cerezas españolas a ese país. Se han visitado parcelas y almacenes en Calatayud, Ricla y la Comarca del Aranda.Nos explicarán por qué el cereal cerró 2023/24 con precios camión de destino más bajos que la media de campaña, también por qué la importación española de frutas y hortalizas frescas ha crecido un 16% en valor y un 6% en volumen y de la aprobación esta semana por el Pleno del CRDO Campo de Borja solicitar la modificación del Pliego de Condiciones, para incluir la mención  “Garnachas Históricas” en el etiquetado de los vinos que procedan de viñedos de 35 o más años de antigüedad.

In his recent book entitled The Seduction of Youth: Print Culture and Homosexual Rights in the Weimar Republic (University of Toronto Press, 2020), Javier Samper Vendrell writes the first study to focus on the League for Human Rights and its leader, Friedrich Radszuweit. It uses his position at the center of the Weimar-era gay rights movement to tease out the diverging political strategies and contradictory tactics that distinguished the movement. By examining news articles and opinion pieces, as well as literary texts and photographs in the League's numerous pulp magazines for homosexuals, Vendrell reconstructs forgotten aspects of the history of same-sex desire and subjectivity. While recognizing the possibilities of liberal rights for sexual freedom during the Weimar Republic, the League's "respectability politics" failed in part because Radszuweit's own publications contributed to the idea that homosexual men were considered a threat to youth, doing little to change the views of the many people who believed in homosexual seduction – a homophobic trope that endured well into the twentieth century. Michael E. O'Sullivan is Professor of History at Marist College where he teaches courses about Modern Europe. He published Disruptive Power: Catholic Women, Miracles, and Politics in Modern Germany, 1918-1965 with University of Toronto Press in 2018.
