Just like today five years ago on December 1st 2017, that's when I opened doors to Welltopia for the first day ever.I remember the first prescription I entered in my system: was for an antidepressant for a fine customer from Shorewood, sertraline 50 mg, take one tablet once a day.I do not want to say I did not know what I was doing, I knew exactly what I was doing back then and what I am doing today. I am serving my patients and helping them same way I help my wife, my mother, my son, my brother, my daughter, my sister, and my father. My family in an unorganized order because one of them will need me now before the other and I have to be there ready with what god has given me strength and weapons to help defend their health and wellness. My mission in my pharmacy is sacred, and I do everything I can to make it happen, and my biggest daily challenge is to build a team with the same vision of giving it everything offering the sincere excellence of customer experience. You come to my pharmacy to receive a service, period. My commitment is this customer experience. I am useful when I can offer you what I promised by my words and by my team committed to your health.Five years passed and we were challenged by so many factors. We built a big family in wisconsin and nationwide that supports and knows the name Welltopia. We won national awards recognizing our efforts for innovation and giving. And we built a whole pharmacy that offers the medication and the supplement and the recommendation and promise for better health. I will not just keep dispensing health. I want to dispense advice and heritage of an interesting life promised by the updates of everything and anything related to a pharmacy.Thank you mother for making me who I am.Thank you father for keeping me going.Thank you beautiful wife for your support. Thank you Brother for believing in me.Thank you kids for bringing joy to my life.Thank you my team members for making it work every single day.And thank you patients for being my bigger family.Omar the pharmacist

Investing in the New Normal Series -- COVID-related shutdowns distorted the economy vs where it was before COVID and we are still trying to adapt to this world.  The question now is; how do we, as investors trying to save for our future, navigate and invest in it?  Let's learn from real people living and working in this "new normal" to help provide a unique perspective on what's going on. Early on in the COVID crisis gyms and fitness facilities were closing at higher rates than almost any other industry, including bars and restaurants.  Thus came the boom of the at-home fitness industry, which some were saying would be the end of future in-person gyms.  Fast forward two years, in-person gyms have re-opened, but at what rate?  How have they changed? How is the industry accommodating for both at-home and in-person; and is it a zero-sum game? Mike Wojciechowski & Jamie Eischen, owners of Brew Fitness Shorewood come on the episode and help answer those questions.  Mike and Jamie share their inspiring story of going out on their own and opening an in-person gym in the midst of a pandemic, and in the face of naysayers.  Their gym aims to focus on community as much as they do fitness offering structured strength classes that include power lifting, high-intensity interval training, strength circuits, and yoga.  Full of valuable information.  Enjoy! --- For more information: - Ryan Hitchcock: www.rhitch.com - Brew Fitness Shorewood: https://www.facebook.com/brewfitnessshorewood - Jamie Eischen: https://www.facebook.com/jamie.eischen - Mike Wojciechowski: https://www.facebook.com/mike.wojciechowskiotf     Ryan Hitchcock Financial Planner High Point Capital Group Direct: 414-253-4611 rhitch@hpcg.com   Investing involves risk including the potential loss of principal. Mac Antigua grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and came back to the Midwest via Texas and St. Paul. Hackers be damned, Mac has lived in Milwaukee for eleven years, in Shorewood, WI. He started his career in youth development, and has worked for decades as a professional convener and facilitator. Though he is departing, Mac looks forward to a future as a (loving yet disgruntled) listener of the pod. Because SNL didn't call him to become a writer, he will be leaving Imagine MKE to work at My Brother's Keeper Alliance within the Obama Foundation. He will also be appearing on Lindsay Sheridan's “Slap Tour.”   In the interview, he talks about the formative experience of learning through practicing improv to inhabit a space of love and fullness, instead of a space of “am I good enough”? or wanting to perform perfectly. Because in improv, you deal with failure and ambiguity all the time.  He reflects on how the arts matter to him, how it has helped him to exist in spaces where there is not a clear answer but instead to see opportunities. And, ask questions, including “why else does this matter?” During his time at Imagine, he has been focused on creating spaces of insight, connection and trust. In the conversation, he reflects on the magical six words. Lindsay asks, “Is it too late for meeting rehearsals?”   Mac shares highlights and reflections from working with the team at Imagine. The team is grateful to him for modeling the notion of possibility, joyful abundance, and examples of what all great teams have. Hint: it's not The Whizzer. It might appear in “The American President.”  Follow Mac @MacArthur31 on Twitter and Instagram and learn more about https://www.obama.org/mbka/ (MBK Alliance, The Obama Foundation)  415 Ephemera  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_19pRsZRiz4 (AI: Artificial Intelligence) (Trailer)  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FVqjhi1qqM (Whose Line is it Anyway) (Compilation)  https://www.vice.com/en/article/qbxpwv/how-improv-made-its-way-into-corporate-america-521 (How Improv Made its Way into Corporate America) (VICE)  “https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/17971839-do-improvise (Do Improvise: Less Push. She's done her share of adventure travel as well, summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro, trekking the Andes, kayaking the South Atlantic, and canoeing the Zambezi River. Her journeys always include visits to schools, whether a boarding school in the Gobi Desert, a two-room building in the desert of southern Madagascar, or a stick hut in Tanzania. Make Life More Joyful Episode 17   "You should have a life you love. Let's uplift women and do great things. Make life more joyful." – Sheila Long   In this episode, Holly & Kristin talk with Sheila Long about: Her decision to start her own business after she decided to leave the world of big corporate America to focus on family. How Sheila began to get acclimated to a new city and make friends and contacts that would later be so important to her beginning her business. The power of women helping women to succeed.   Key Takeaways There are so many issues in society, and women play a crucial role in moving forward on these issues, especially when they unite. As a society, we do not celebrate women taking risks like we do men. Women working with other women helps make that easier for would-be women entrepreneurs. Find your tribe of women or a personal board of directors when launching a business or re-inventing yourself. Your loved ones don't want to see you fail and may hold you back in the interest of trying to protect you from all the unknowns and possible failure. People outside your immediate circle can give you the feedback you need most. Be open to admitting you can't do everything and reach out for help. Hire an accountant or virtual assistant to allow you to focus on the work you do best. Sometimes it's hard to trust that someone else will do it as well as you.   Sheila Long is the Founder of MalamaDoe, A Coworking Community for Women in Shorewood, Wisconsin, that she began in 2015. Sheila believes in inspiring awesome women to get connected professionally. She facilitated her local Project Management Institute Expert Panel for many years while holding various roles on local boards. Prior to consulting, Sheila worked for over eleven years at Motorola in high tech sales, quality, and service management. When your mind and heart are in the right place, you can do just about anything. In episode 3, Kody sits down for a deep chat with Dr. Gabe Ellis, a father, husband, member of the Ultra Running community, and fellow entrepreneur. A bit of happenstance--the two are meeting for the first time yet share quite a bit of common ground. For example, Kody is a big fan of fellow ultra-runner and author David Goggins, and Gabe happens to be a previous competitor.Right out the gate Kody asks, "How did you become where you are, right now, in a short sentence?" To which Gabe humbly replies, "I have no clue." Gabe retraces his life's steps with us as we discover that he possessed an inner fire to win from a young age, but influential people came into his life to keep it burning (like that time he went on a 100-mile run). This discussion is full of themes such as actualizing your full potential through an "I can do this" mindset, society's definition of success versus your own, the dangers of complacency, and leaving a lasting legacy for the next generation.Gabe leaves us listeners with a challenge: pick one word that you can apply to your personal, professional, and health goals that will change your life."Pick one damn word. Stick to it. And before you do something, see if that word matches where you're trying to go.
