Founder of the Radical Resistance Institute, our guest today is Victor Lee Lewis. He brings a unique, socially progressive vision to the work of personal growth, personal empowerment, and emotional health. An early advocate of Jeremey Taylor, he is also profoundly influenced by his dreams. Victor starts by telling how a dream he had in the early 1980s woke him up to the need to radically remake his life. He sees dreams as a realm of oneness and says that dream groups are an ideal forum for bringing people together. We talk about about the idea of imaginal cells and also about how neuro-divergent people have the kind of “out of the box” thinking that we are in need of right now. After the break, we take call from Jenny from Santa Cruz in which she shares a dream that a friend sent her which highlights spiritual vs political action. Max asks Victor what to say to young people who are neuro divergent. We also take a call from Ray from Santa Cruz who has some further reflections on Jenny’s dream. Victor ends by talking about his passion for human liberation. Contact info: FB @VictorLeeLewis, or email me and I will get you in touch. Creativity, community and mastery are the trio of words that best describe the online community for artists that Mike and Julie deBoer founded along with Victor Lee in Canada. Mastrius is now serving artists in 29 countries through an online mentor program that connects aspiring, emerging and accomplished artists with masters who provide feedback, motivation, and encouragement through online sessions. As mentors with Mastrius, Val and Armin were anxious to share a conversation with Julie and Mike. This is a chance to hear the origin story of the company and learn more about Mastrius' exciting growth and future. The unique model of providing artists across the globe the chance to learn face to face with art mentors via Zoom encourages a community that is dedicated to mastering artistic competence in a supportive, noncompetitive atmosphere. It truly provides a niche for artists looking to hone their skills in the comfort of their studios and home and along the way the artists become part of a connected community of like-minded creatives. Here is information on Mike and Julie through their bios posted on the Leadership Team page of the Mastrius website. Julie deBoer Julie is a professional artist, instructor, and business owner with intuitive skills in branding, marketing, and messaging. She has successfully built a career as an artist, achieving professional status and gallery representation with over 6 galleries in her first 10 years as an artist. She has worked with a variety of charitable and non-profit organizations, creating and leading many grassroots teams over the past 20 years. She has also had the unique opportunity to spend over a decade establishing and growing a new church in inner city Calgary. Julie's belief that each of us has a responsibility (and privilege) to give a leg-up to those around us, is at the heart of Mastrius. She is pleased to ensure it is knit into the company's very DNA. Julie serves as Chief Messaging Officer and Co-Founder of Mastrius. Mike deBoer Years of seeing people struggle with inexperience and isolation caused by our technology-saturated culture sparked Mike's passion for changing the world one person at a time. After successfully leading teams of 100+ people, executing projects worth $250M+, leading several organizational mergers, Mike left behind his career in oil & gas executive-level management to pursue his vision to restore an ethos of people-helping people. A life-long student of leadership best practices, Mike is known as a leader who is empowering, effective, engaged, and possessing the highest integrity. He's worked hard to earn the title of Alberta's Strongest Man on numerous occasions and was 2016 Western Canada's Strongest Natural Man. Mike has grown into a tenacious and visionary entrepreneur who believes the path to growth, to mastery of great skills, is never more successful than when journeying alongside a seasoned traveller. Mike serves as Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Mastrius. Programs through Mastrius include mentorships available with master artists, opportunities to exhibit and sell art in Mastrius online exhibitions, attend art events online, access an online library of instructional events, and be part of an extensive chat community via messaging and online face to face conversations. He also co-created and produced the science fiction podcast Earth Eclipsed which was recently nominated as the podcast of the year at the Ambies in an official selection of the Tribeca Festival 2021. Victor Lee Lewis is a progressive life coach, trainer, speaker, and Founder of the Radical Resilience Institute. As a social justice educator, Victor brings a unique, socially progressive vision to the work of personal growth, personal empowerment, and emotional health. He addresses the question of “What Could Possibly Go Right?” with thoughts including:That many esteemed institutions and structures that we deeply believe in are counterfeit to what we really want and need. That humanity and life can’t bear another century of white supremacy, patriarchy, and Western enlightenment-based education. That “we need to unpack and detox our notions of freedom and liberty”, which has typically been construed in racial terms in the United States of America. That liberation is a nonlinear process and much has changed, even if progress isn’t always obvious. That this is an infinite game. “We're not trying to win it, we're not trying to complete it. We're in an infinite game that we want to keep going. I'm not trying to live forever. I'm trying to see that life lives forever.”That “as things fall apart, opening our hearts as well as our minds, and taking courage may yet carry us through.”ResourcesBook: "I Seem To Be A Verb" by Buckminster FullerBlog post: “An Easter Sermonette” by Vicki Robin https://vickirobin.com/an-easter-sermonette/ Current Conversations Episode #307 with Victor Lee Lewis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egZ9n7wtSxYConnect with Victor Lee LewisWebsite // FacebookFollow WCPGRFacebook // Twitter // InstagramJoin our Patreon Community to receive bonus conversations with guests and "backstage" conversations between Vicki and other podcast hosts.Learn more: https://bit.ly/wcpgr-resSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/vickirobin)

On this episode of the Informonster Podcast, Charlie Harp is joined by Randy Woodward, Carol Macumber and Victor Lee, MD, to talk about the COVID 19 Interoperability Alliance, an initiative designed to provide value sets and resources to identify, understand and monitor COVID-19 information patterns. They discuss why the Alliance was formed, the problems the industry is currently facing and how the Alliance can help combat the pandemic.
It may be the oldest cliché in the book, but if you do something you love, you'll never work a day in your life. In this episode I learn about Victor Lee's career journey which, in his words, was based on passion and character. Dreaming, tinkering, dabbling and thinking of innovative new ways to do things created the launchpad that guided his career. Victor was most notably SVP at Hasbro and in this episode we discuss the skills he developed as an agency marketer, his work leading pivots to digital marketing for a wide range of companies and the importance of having the conviction to fight the fights worth fighting for, not just the ones you know you can win. Key takeaways from this episode: Clichés are overused for a reason and many of the cheesiest have merit when considering your career: do what you love, find passion in what you do, don't be afraid to fail and know that there is always a bit of luck involved.Marketers are often tasked with coming up with big ideas, to the point where we're almost scared to get the “yes” and having to follow through. These big ideas are great but they're not everything. There is beauty in pragmatism, in small pivots, and small wins.Digital isn't black and white. There are many different ways digital can work in tandem with other facets of business, such as retailers. It doesn't need to be competitive, and it doesn't need to be complicated.Check out this and other episodes of The Marketer's Journey on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, and Google Play!

Victor recounts how he was already hustling and selling insurance back in Malaysia, and how the sales skills he learned coupled with his product development expertise helped him jump into a career building financial technology products at Standard Chartered Bank. How Victor was able to use his resources wisely and be able to pay salary to part-time employees while himself having a day job. How Victor was attracted to the concept of decentralized governance and falling into the blockchain rabbit hole. What inspired his new company, Bitcurate, and what it does.
