Welcome to another iteratoin of the Monday Breakfast show, broadcasted from the 3CR studio in so-called Fitzroy, Naarm/so-called Melbourne. On today's show you'll hear: Palestinian Activist Nour Salman and Activist and UniMelb Academic Prof Tony Birch, Nakba Day rally outside Victorian Parliament, speaking about the banning of the Kuffiyeh, Solidarity, and supporting the student encampments. On Nakba Day following this speech, hundreds of community members gathered outside the Victorian Parliament to watch a debate -brought on by a community-led petitio - about Victorian Labor's continued partnership with the Israeli Defence Ministry and Elbit Systems — Israel's largest weapons manufacturer. Since Parliament had closed the gallery to the public, people watched the debate live, on a projector on parliament steps. It should be noted that Labor did not put forward any speakers for the debate — and rather than tabling the community petition, it was ultimately rejected altogether with contributions from the Liberal Party, National Party. Then you'll hear Zoe's conversation with Jia of the Work Without Barriers team at Fitzroy Legal Service. They were speaking about the Living and Lived Experience and Peer Work Job Expo, which is taking place on Friday the 24th of May at the Fitzroy Town Hall from 10:30AM to 1:30PM. This event is an incredible opportunity to hear directly from others with lived and living experience who are now working across the community sector, to learn about their roles and the pathways they took to get settled into their careers. The event is kid-friendly and wheelchair accessible. Following that we play the second part of a conversation between Grace and Rabia, the founder of the social group Covid Conscious Queers Naarm. This is part two of their discussion on what covid safe gatherings and connections look like, and why covid safe spaces for queer people, and for all people, are essential. You can listen to part one of their interview from the 24th of May here. Finally, we hear Jacob Gamble, presenter with Earth Matters, speaking to Save Wallum campaign organiser Svea Pittman, and NSW Greens MP Sue Higginson, about the proposed development and environmental conservation in planning laws, where property developers have been given the greenlight to build apartment blocks across Wallum, a coastal landscape home to over a dozen threatened species of flora and fauna. Sam Newman, Mike Sheahan and Don Scott - 'You Cannot Be Serious'

John Setka (born September 1964) is an Australian trade unionist. He is secretary of the Victorian-Tasmanian division of the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, and Energy Union which also administers the South Australian division under a temporary arrangement. He is a controversial figure in the Australian trade union movement. He is known for his strong support at a grassroots level, especially among the rank and file of the CFMMEU. His supporters regard him as a strong advocate against political, legal, and industrial opponents; the national secretary of the union, Christy Cain has called him one of the "most fair dinkum union people in this country". On the other hand, Setka's political opponents have derided him as a bully, and criticized his purported stance that it can be necessary to break the law to pursue union interests. He has also faced strong criticism for alleged public remarks on the topic of domestic violence, and a guilty plea for harassing his ex-wife via text, issues that contributed to his formal expulsion from the Australian Labor Party in 2019. In recent years Setka's personal life has been the subject of considerable media attention. His marital breakdown, and associated legal issues, have led to additional public criticism. John Setka was born to a Croatian family. His father was a labourer named Bob Setka, who survived the West Gate Bridge collapsein 1970, one of the worst industrial accidents caused by employer negligence in Victoria's history. Setka began working as a labourer at the age of 19. He began involvement with trade unionism first after joining the Builders Labourers Federation. He was mentored by state secretary John Cummins. Under John's leadership, media commentators have noted the "pervasive power of the CFMEU over construction companies". In 2012 he unsuccessfully attempted to sue the opposition leader Tony Abbott in defamation after Abbott called him a thug. In 2015, Setka encouraged workers within the Rail, Tram and Bus Union to strike during the Australian Football League finals to "use finals fever to their advantage in their bitter industrial fight with Metro Trains and Yarra Trams". The decision was criticised by Victorian Labor minister Jacinta Allan due to the strike's impact on businesses. Setka openly criticised the former prime minister Kevin Rudd in 2018. During a speech, he said: 'he's one of the worst fucking Labor PMs we've ever had ... (because) ... he kept the ABCC and coercive powers and he wants to talk about workers and the trade union movement.' Setka is known for his public condemnation of the ABCC and its staff. In 2017 he publicly threatened to target the home addresses of building watchdog inspectors and lobby local footy clubs so their "kids will be ashamed of who their parents are". These comments were controversial. On the other hand, he is regarded by many in the union movement, especially in the industrial left faction; to be a robust and genuine union activist. He has in the past had strong support from Luke Hilakari, among other prominent leaders in the trade union movement. In August 2022 a unanimous ballot at the South Australian branch of the CFMMEU brought about a co-operative administration arrangement between that branch, and the Victorian-Tasmanian division led by Setka. In 2015 Setka was arrested and forced to appear in court to face blackmail charges. On the day of his court appearance, around 2,000 CFMEU members and other unionists gathered outside the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 8 December to show their support. Three years later, the Victorian prosecution office dropped the charges, a decision that the Magistrate Charles Rozecwajg described in court as 'very sensible. Setka spoke outside of court saying that he had been the victim of a witch hunt. He later sued a group of executives from the company Boral, successfully obtaining a settlement after alleging they conspired in the tort of malicious prosecution. Expulsion from Labor In June 2019 John attended a meeting of his union's national executive. It was reported by The Age that during that meeting, he made comments to the effect that the work of Rosie Batty had left men with fewer rights. Setka publicly denied that he made the comments. Following the reporting of these comments, the Australian Labor Party leader Anthony Albanese proposed to expel Setka from the Labor Party. John publicly objected to this attempt at expulsion and claimed that there was "dirty politics at work". He made an implicit claim that he was the victim of a witch hunt, driven by his "view of where the union should be in regard to the ALP, and some people probably don't share that view". Reactions to John's behavior and his potential expulsion were mixed. The CFMEU Victoria branch (that he controlled) threatened to cut financial support to the ALP if he was expelled.  The NSW and WA branches also expressed their support. Numerous politicians, as well as the ACTU secretary Sally McManus called on John to step down. Additional pressure upon John arose after the Senate crossbencher Jacqui Lambie threatened political blackmail, making a demand that he steps down or she would vote for a bill strongly opposed by the union movement. This threat was made during a lunch invitation at her Tasmanian house. In the midst of these events, John pleaded guilty to using a carriage service to harass a person in the Melbourne magistrate's court. The victim was identified as his wife at the time, Emma Walters. Following this, more than a dozen individual unions, including the three biggest in the country, renewed their calls for Setka to step aside. Some factional allies of Setka, like the then head of the RTBU Luba Grigorovitch , maintained their support. In July, John applied for an injunction at the Victorian Supreme Court to stop the expulsion decision. He argued at court that the ALP national executive didn't have the legal power to expel him, and that it was instead a matter for the Victorian State party branch. The court decided in August 2019 that the motion to expel Mr. Setka was 'outside the court's jurisdiction', and that it 'could not interfere with internal decisions of voluntary unincorporated associations'. In October he commenced an appeal of this decision, before withdrawing. After its withdrawal, the ALP immediately expelled him.

Homeless people are dying more than 30 years earlier than the general population, a new Guardian Australia report revealed. It found homeless people are dying at an average age of 44, compared to 77-years-old for the general population.  The Guardian reported that many of these deaths were “directly connected to the trauma and desperation of homelessness, and compounded by the vast waits for emergency and public housing”.  Meanwhile, the waiting lists for public and social housing continue to grow, with almost 60,000 people on the waiting list in New South Wales alone in October last year.  Successive state governments have greenlit plans to demolish public housing sites. The Victorian Labor government is pushing ahead with its plan to demolish 44-high rise public housing estates, despite a big pushback from tenants and housing experts. Antipoverty Centre spokesperson Kristin O'Connell spoke to Green Left's Isaac Nellist about the desperate need for investment in public housing and other solutions to counter worsening poverty.  We acknowledge that this was produced on stolen Aboriginal land. There's plenty more B-words in this chat with the Barker MP in south eastern Australia as we discuss some hot topics in the electorate from Mt Gambier and the Limestone Coast to the Riverland, Barossa and Mallee including regional bank branch closures and Kingston SE's BankSA temporary reprieve. We unpack the approach of the SA and federal Labor water ministers Close and Plibersek on the Murray Darling Basin Plan and buying water from irrigators contrasted with Victorian Labor minister Harriet Shing and NSW Labor shadow minister, possibly soon the minister, Rose Jackson. One thing Tony Pasin isn't buying is the communications minister Michelle Rowland's explanation to FlowFM listeners why a recent 'targeted' mobile black spot funding round overwhelming favoured Labor electorates. We also reflect on recent commentary from treasurer Jim Chalmers about superannuation and whether Labor was up front with the electorate before the May election, like Bill Shorten was in 2019, on its plans for retiree savings.

In this week's episode of The People's Project: DAN HAS A PROBLEM #CookversusCrook Daniel Andrews, Brett Sutton and Dandenong council have created a monster! A slug that threatens the Premier's own seat: Mulgrave. Ian Cook founded iCook Foods where a slug was planted by a corrupt Melbourne council with backing from the Labor Party. With a team of retired detectives Ian has defeated all charges and now openly labels the players involved as 'corrupt' with not a single defamation action or threat levied in response. Ian is running in Mulgrave to stand against corruption in Victoria. CORRUPT COUNCILS Casey council was dismissed by Labor MP Adem Somyurek in 2020 for some of 'the most corrupt conduct ever seen in a Victorian council' with property developers paying bribes to councillors and Labor MPs. IBAC investigations have since revealed via covert telephone recordings that Premier Daniel Andrews has not only dined with such property developers, but has indeed discussed planning decisions at those dinners. The CEO of Dandenong Council also goes under the microscope as Ian lays out hundreds of thousands of dollars that have gone missing, bombshell board minutes, implications with Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton, and millions of dollars 'disappeared' by the Labor government in the winding up of Community Chef. CORRUPT POLICE? A senior Victoria Police officer made a submission to IBAC with detailed allegations about a cover-up inside the highest levels of Victoria Police. That submission alleges and implicates Shane Patton and lays out evidence of the 'Red Shirts Rort' investigations (into Victorian Labor stealing $400,000) being covered up. The submission was leaked to multiple media outlets, including Discernable. Former Victoria Police PORT/CIRT officer Chris Burson joins us on the panel to give us a peak into the culture inside Victoria Police. After a pandemic of foot-in-mouth discourse from our political leaders over the past two years, a new biosecurity threat of foot and mouth disease is causing concern. I cover all the latest globalist health alerts on this week's Tim's News Explosion. The concern is growing over foot and mouth disease potentially coming into Australia following an outbreak in Indonesia. A single case could devastate Australia's meat industry and see meat prices rise even higher. Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has called for the border with Indonesia to be closed. New Agriculture Minister Murray Watt has boasted about new biosecurity measures rolled out to airports including requiring travelers from Indonesia to walk over sanitation mats. The World Health Organisation has declared the monkeypox outbreak in western nations a global health emergency of international concern. The declaration was a captain's call by WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. 98% of the cases in this outbreak are men who have sex with men, there are 44 confirmed cases currently in Australia. Two monkeypox cases in children in the US were likely infected by household contacts who are men who have sex with men according to CDC Director Rochelle Walensky. Monkeypox spreads mainly via skin-to-skin contact, smallpox vaccines work against monkeypox. Melton City Councillor Moira Deeming has won Victorian Liberal preselection for the number one spot on the party's Western Metro Region Upper House ticket for the state election. Moira is pro-life, pro-family, and pro-woman which has already triggered Dan Andrews who called her views unVictorian. Dan's Health Minister Mary-Anne Thomas called Moira a Bernie Finn clone, Moira's preselection is rebuked by Liberal members against Leader Matthew Guy's expulsion of Bernie from the state party room. Dan Andrews has again refused to resign after a damning joint IBAC and Ombudsman report about Victorian Labor's misuse of taxpayer-funded staff for party branch stacking activity. Dan also bragged about CommSec declaring Victoria as the best-performing state, the 30,000 Victorians who fled the state during Dan's lockdowns might disagree. It's been Watching Day for us here in Victoria on fronts: the first day of Freedom/Apartheid Day in New South Wales, and the first day of IBAC hearings into Victorian Labor branch stacking I replay today's highlights on this week's Tim's News Explosion. Because the restored freedoms in NSW today are only for the fully vaccinated many are instead calling today Apartheid Day or Segregation Day as even public and private gatherings are only permitted for the vaccinated. A proper freedom day in NSW won't come until December 1 when the unvaccinated are allowed to participate again in society. If Premier Domonic Perrottet wants to live up to his values of freedom by December 1 he should also get rid of all mask mandates, QR code check-ins, and quarantine requirements. Businesses such as Rashays operated by Rami Ykmour are choosing to only reopen when they can welcome all customers in. The beginning of the NSW reopening has also been judgment day for lockdown fanatics and fun haters online sneering at people in Sydney shopping at Kmart and drinking beer in pubs. Some are so addicted to lockdown and fear that they wish the lockdown lifestyle was the new normal. Not all Australian progressive-leftists have turned into totalitarian police state lovers, former Race Discrimination Commissioner Tim Soutphommasane is perplexed why so many are now afraid of freedom. Having lost the argument for the endless use of lockdowns the covid doom establishment have now turned their attention to masking children in schools until they can be vaccinated. Pfizer now wants to get its vaccine approved worldwide for 5-11-year-olds, however, the head of ATAGI Professor Allan Chang has stated the approval for the vaccine in children is not as straightforward given that most children do not get seriously ill from covid so the risk of side effects like heart inflammation is greater than the risk of covid itself. Last Friday Dan Andrews received two $200 fines for breaking his own mask mandate. But that is now the least of his concerns with the state's anti-corruption body IBAC beginning its public hearings streamed online into the alleged misuse of taxpayer-funded electorate staffers to engage in Labor Party branch stacking, The first day of hearings has already seen a resignation from Dan Andrews' Cabinet with Luke Donnellan resigning after admitting he paid for other people's Labor Party memberships. If Victoria's current coronavirus lockdown has taught voters anything it's that elections have consequences. Even though civil liberties have been suspended in the state democracy has not. Local government elections are proceeding as scheduled in October. On the midweek edition of WilmsFront we explore how local government operates in Victoria and how you can make sure you cast an informed vote with City of Greater Dandenong Liberal Councillor Timothy Dark. Timothy is the sole Liberal Councillor in Greater Dandenong which has 9 from Labor and 1 Green. The council moving to the single council ward electoral system which has made his re-election campaign difficult. Party affiliation is not required to be disclosed in Victorian local government elections and with the unpopularity of the Victorian Labor brand at present Labor aligned candidates have no red in their election material. Local councils are elected in Victoria for fixed four-year terms, they operate under the council-manager system where the Councillors are part-time and appoint a CEO to run the day to day operations of the council, cities in the US use the strong-major council system with a full-time Mayor who also runs the day to day operation council/city. Timothy is a strong supporter of the role of local government plays in Victoria and to stop councils wasting time with things such as anti-Australia Day motions locals need to elect better Councillors. With the stage 4 lockdown extended for Melbournian's for another six weeks coupled with the dictatorial inflexible approach that Premier Dan Andrews has displayed during the coronavirus second wave and associated lockdown strategy community resentment is growing. There was a revolt in the local Muslim Dandenong community in late August which was aggressively suppressed by Victoria Police. Timothy as a local Councillor thought the police crackdown was over the top and unnecessary. He predicts this could see the Greater Dandenong area turn against Labor. The incompetence and dishonesty of the Andrews Government exposed during the pandemic has awoken the Victorian Liberal Party from its slumber with leader Michael O'Brien and frontbencher Tim Smith getting the Opposition message out much more effectively. Timothy believes for the 2022 state election the Liberals need many young fresh feisty candidates.  Contact: Email: me@timwilms.com Message: https://t.me/timwilms Wilms Front Links: Entropy: https://entropystream.live/app/wilmsfront Website: http://timwilms.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/wilmsfront Minds: https://www.minds.com/timwilms Gab: https://gab.com/timwilms Telegram: https://t.me/wilmsfront Parler: https://parler.com/profile/timwilms/ Support the Show: Membership: http://www.theunshackled.net/membership Donate: https://www.theunshackled.net/donate/ Paypal: https://www.paypal.me/TheUnshackled Other Unshackled Productions: The Uncuckables: http://theuncuckables.com/ Report From Tiger Mountain: http://reportfromtigermountain.com/ Other Unshackled Links: Website: https://www.theunshackled.net Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TUnshackled Twitter: https://twitter.com/Un_shackled Gab: https://gab.ai/theunshackled Telegram: https://t.me/theunshackled Minds: https://www.minds.com/The_Unshackled MeWe: https://mewe.com/p/theunshackled Music and Graphics by James Fox Higgins Voice Over by Morgan Munro See omnystudio.com/policies/listener for privacy information.

On the Uncuckables panel this week is just the two main guys: Tim Wilms Editor in Chief of The Unshackled and David Hiscox Editor of the XYZ. Teflon Dan Andrews has had a sticky week. Nine's 60 Minutes program and The Age newspaper released secret recordings of Victorian Labor powerbroker Adem Somyurek bragging about and organising branch stacking on the taxpayer dollar. In the recordings he uses violent language against women and disparages gays and migrants. The secret recordings were taken in the offices of the Labor Federal Member for Holt Anthony Byrne Deputy Chair of Parliament's intelligence committee. David speculates that the hit job on Somyurek was assisted by Australia's intelligence agencies due to the Victorian Government's support for China's one belt on road globalist infrastructure program. It all appears to be finally falling apart for Dan Andrews with Victoria recording two days of significant spikes in new coronavirus infections. Youth gangs are also back out of Melbournes streets with a 16 year old white girl punched a kicked by a gang of 8 African girls on Sunday morning. A 15 year old Samoan boy was stabbed to death in Deer Park on Wednesday afternoon. For the second half of the show the Senator Slayer phones in Another riot after the death of a black criminal has occurred in a major United States city.
