In this episode, I interview my friend and fellow dermatology PA, Archana Sangha. Archana is a past president of SDPA and is currently working as a Medical Science Liaison. Not only does she share how she landed her job, but she also talks about her path to get there and how she managed two little ones, a full-time dermatology job, and held PA leadership positions during the pandemic. Archana and I met on a Kenya medical mission trip when we were new dermatology PAs, and our most recent escapade was dressing as Tina Turner and Dolly Parton at a Nashville conference. This woman is amazing; you won't regret listening to her interview! Participants and Efficiency Tips Scott from What Was That Like is speeding up editing using keyboard shortcuts and a Red Dragon M908 Gaming Mouse (aff) Craig from Live Well and Flourish is speeding up editing by using iZotope plugins. I use Dialogue Enhance 2. Jill from Fit Stong Women Over 50 eliminates editing by doing more research for your interviews. Branden uses the sound pads on the Zoom Podtrak P4 to help identify edit marks (he assigned tones from Audacity to the pads) Karin from Just Grow Something uses templates where she adds all of the files she uses for her show and saves it as a template. Then opens the template and chooses "Save As," and gives it a new name (so the blank version of the episode stays blank). Kim from the Pharmacists Voice also uses Templates for her audio, her images (using Canva), and anything else. Jim from Home Gadget Geeks ensures any online tools (like auphonic) he uses take advantage of any integrations. Tools like Active Pieces and Zapier can tie two products together. Mark Vinet from the History of North America and Historical Jesus batch records. Steve Steward from the Podcast Editors Academy and his own Editing Service uses two monitors, which speed things up and make things less stressful. Tips To Speed Up Your Podcast From Dave Use the playback speed option in Audacity. It will make people sound like chipmunks, but every little bit helps. Use Text Expander to create templates or anything you type over and over (Libsyn.com has a snippets feature as does Captivate, which has episode defaults (templates). Podpage is a set-it-and-forget-it website tool. You create an episode, and it just appears on your website. You can learn Podpage for Free. Podpage also has an episode signature at the bottom of every episode on your site. A Transcription service like Otter or any AI Transcription tools can be used for editing. I use Evernote to organize my thoughts to avoid wasting time looking for things. A cheap alternative to Notedex. Use a calendar scheduling tool like Acuity Scheduling, Tidycal (although it's having an issue), or Calendly. Using these tools takes the stress out of scheduling guests. I Use Brandy to manage my Press kit. Use your audience, who often have time, treasure, and talent, to help you with your show. Pin a folder to the left navigation in Windows Explorer and the Finder on a Mac so you don't have to dig down to get to the folder. Pay someone to do your editing. Tips and insights are shared by everyday Wordle players – and one of them is absolutely mind-blowing. Can't believe no one ever focused on these #Wordle issues before. The #WordleTips included are not discussed and present a unique, and winning way of looking at #Wordle puzzles. Additionally, the talk shares insights on the biggest wordle aggravation, when most people play Wordle, how long Wordle players are willing to devote to a tough round of Wordle, and whether or not many have a standard second Wordle word when their standard first Wordle word doesn't produce an adequate number of viable letters. Wordle is the game that has been sweeping the Internet. With only one hand each day, players have six chances to guess the daily five-letter word. A green square indicates a correct letter in the correct spot and a yellow letter reveals a correct letter in a different spot. And then there are the little spoken-about Wordle tips. In fact, I've never seen one of them mentioned anywhere! The tips and insights are shared by everyday Wordle players in this talk make it not only entertaining but also educational. Without out a doubt, I find it hard to imagine that no one ever focused on these Wordle issues before, but they are not mentioned in the popular press. Today's episode is talking about comparison and here are a few things to help you break free from comparison and walk in freedom! 1)Take a social media break! Socials are so awesome. They connect people and can be a lot of fun and super entertaining BUT they can also create some crazy comparison issues. Looking at people's ‘best' lives of everyone can cause some serious emotional instability when we are seeing what others are doing and what we are not. Hebrews 12:1 2) Have in person relationships & build community! Seeing people in their 'real life' will help you see that most of us have struggles and will help you not feel so alone!3) Start a gratitude journal! When you count your blessings and remember what you DO have and not what you don't have then when the lies of comparison come it won't be so easy to attach to! Start by writing 5-8 things you are grateful for from today before you go to bed or right when you wake up! Make it routine!4) Know that your ultimate purpose is to be known by God and make Him knownWe are constantly striving for the world's standards…having lots of friends and making them happy or making them ‘like' us or the things we do. Working towards world goals of wealth or fame. Or even being the best mom at your kids school! We set standards for ourselves based on what others are doing and where they are in life…what cars we drive, what kind of houses we have, what clothes we wear, what kind of mom we are-do we feed them healthy food or not?Matthew 6:33- Seek Jesus first! When our eyes are on Him then it's hard to be discontent.Pray this is a blessing and challenge for you today friend!!Come hang with me on IG- https://www.instagram.com/mrsangelapitnikoff/Join our FB sisterhood!- https://www.facebook.com/groups/kingdomdaughterssisterhoodBe more amazing and leave a review!- https://lovethepodcast.com/LoHGyjWant some fun free resources? Let's say you're cooking dinner, preheating your stainless steel skillet to sear some lamb chops with briny anchovies and capers. You add oil, wait, and then place the meat in the pan, after which you toss in the rest of your ingredients. Alas, those delicious toppings get a little burnt as the chops cook through, sticking to the pan and leaving a hardened crust of oil behind. Don't despair: Even seasoned cooks can scorch a pan, whether they're searing meat at high temperatures or fiddling with a delicate sauce. But cleaning those tough stains isn't as much of a pain if you have the right gear and supplies. Based on our years of experience cooking at home and in professional kitchens, here are the techniques we use to keep our cookware gleaming. For more cleaning tips at home, you can visit your nearest braintree highlands house cleaning services! Three methods for cleaning tough stainsThe simplest method: Baking soda and elbow greaseIt's always easier to clean a scorched pan as soon as possible after cooking. To remove cooked-on oil or burnt food when dish soap and scrubbing aren't cutting it, create a slurry of water and baking soda or another powdered cleaner in the bottom of the pan. Don't be afraid to be generous with the baking soda. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes, and then scrub it off with a scouring pad (preferably a new one with a fresh, unworn scrubby side). If the stains won't come off, you can repeat these steps and let the paste sit for longer, even overnight. An extra step for bigger stains: Boil the baking soda firstFor bigger, tougher stains that climb up the sides of a saucepan or skillet, Geri Porter, the longtime kitchen manager for Martha Stewart, suggested the following method: Add a small mound of baking soda to the center of a pan, cover with about ¼ cup water (you might need more for a bigger pan), and bring to a boil. As the water boils and evaporates, it will leave a film of baking soda around the walls of the pan that you can then scrub off. When most of the water has boiled off, turn off the heat and use a long-handled brush or scouring pad to scrub off your mess (again, new pads will work better). It's best to do this while the pan is still hot, so it may help to use gloves and grip the pan with a towel or oven mitt. We've had success with this method for freshly scorched pans, but it isn't as effective for boiling off years of grime.A more involved method for years of grime: Boil the whole pan with baking sodaTo truly banish all scorch marks—even years of baked-on oil—with the least amount of scrubbing, we turn to Wirecutter kitchen writer Michael Sullivan's method. He fully submerges his dingiest pans in a pot of boiling water and baking soda to boil the stains off. Although it's a little awkward to wrangle a large metal object from a pot of steaming water, the results are magical. With minimal scrubbing, our pans were gleaming—even a formerly blackened 10-year old All-Clad skillet.
