Hive Digital Technologies Executive Chairman Frank Holmes joined Steve Darling from Proactive to highlight the company's latest achievements in scaling its Bitcoin mining operations. The update comes on the heels of Hive's successful acquisition of Bitfarms' Yguazú assets in Paraguay and the energization of the site's initial 100 MW phase. Hive has now surpassed a significant milestone, reporting a global Bitcoin mining hashrate of 7.3 Exahash per second (EH/s). This represents a 10% increase over last month's peak hashrate of 6.6 EH/s. The growth is primarily driven by the energization of the new hydro-powered facility in Paraguay, where Hive has deployed a blend of its proprietary BUZZ Miners and cutting-edge Bitmain S21+ air-cooled units. The company is rapidly accelerating the deployment of new ASIC miners, currently adding approximately 1 EH/s of capacity each month. With additional hardware deliveries expected, Hive anticipates increasing this pace to 1 EH/s every two weeks. Construction is also advancing at the company's Valenzuela site, further contributing to Hive's aggressive expansion strategy. By the end of May, Hive expects to have more than 20,000 mining machines operational at the Yguazú facility. The company remains on schedule to reach its Phase 1 target of 11.5 EH/s by June 2025, positioning itself as a major player in the global Bitcoin mining industry. #proactiveinvestors #hivedigitaltechnologieslet #tsxv #hive #nasdaq #hive #CryptoMining #GreenEnergy #BitcoinMining #ParaguayMining #DataCenter #Exahash #S21Miners #DigitalAssets #ProactiveInvestors

Hive Digital Technologies Executive Chairman Frank Holmes joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company's unaudited Bitcoin production results for February 2025. HIVE mined 89 BTC during the month, bringing its total Bitcoin holdings to 2,620 BTC, valued at approximately $220 million as of February 28, based on a BTC price of $84,000. Holmes highlighted that HIVE's Bitcoin holdings have grown by 23% year-over-year. However, on a month-over-month basis, BTC reserves declined as the company strategically sold a portion of its holdings to reinvest in capital assets, including acquiring Bitfarms' 200 MW hydro-powered Bitcoin mining facilities in Paraguay. Despite the asset reallocation, HIVE maintained a strong mining capacity, averaging 5.6 Exahash per Second (EH/s) with fleet efficiency at 20.9 Joules per Terahash. The company achieved a peak BTC-only hashrate of 6.2 EH/s and a peak BTC-equivalent hashrate of 6.4 EH/s, with an average daily production rate of 3.2 BTC—equivalent to 16 BTC per Exahash. Looking ahead, HIVE is targeting significant growth in 2025, with plans to quadruple its hashrate from 6 EH/s to 25 EH/s by September. The company's 300 MW expansion in Paraguay is a key part of this strategy, with phased energization of miners set for calendar Q2 2025. The first 100 MW will be deployed at Yguazú, followed by another 100 MW at Valenzuela, positioning HIVE for substantial scale-up in the competitive Bitcoin mining landscape. #proactiveinvestors #hivedigitaltechnologieslet #tsxv #hive #nasdaq #hive
Hive Digital Technologies Chief Financial Officer Darcy Daubaras joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share the company's unaudited production results for January 2025. HIVE mined 102 BTC, bringing its HODL portfolio to 2,657 BTC, valued at $271 million as of January 31, 2025, based on a Bitcoin price of approximately $102,000. The company's BTC holdings grew 34% year-over-year, though month-over-month holdings declined due to strategic BTC sales to fund capital investments, including the acquisition of Bitfarms' 200 MW hydro-powered Bitcoin mining assets in Paraguay. Daubaras highlighted that HIVE maintained an average mining capacity of 5.7 Exahash per Second (EH/s), with fleet efficiency at 22 Joules per Terahash (J/TH). The company achieved a peak BTC-only hashrate of 6 EH/s and a peak BTC-equivalent hashrate of 6.4 EH/s, producing an average of 3.3 BTC per day or 18 BTC per Exahash. A key development in January was HIVE's acquisition of a 200 MW hydro-powered mining facility in Paraguay from Bitfarms Ltd. The acquisition is expected to significantly boost HIVE's global Bitcoin mining hashrate to an anticipated 25 EH/s by September 2025, marking a 317% increase from the current 6 EH/s. HIVE estimates a total net cost of $400,000 per MW to complete the Bitfarms site, which, alongside existing operations in Canada and Sweden, will increase the company's total operational capacity to approximately 430 MW by Q3 2025. #proactiveinvestors #hivedigitaltechnologieslet #tsxv #hive #nasdaq #hive #BitcoinMining #CryptoExpansion #GreenEnergy #Paraguay #BTC #CryptoInvesting #BitcoinETFs #Blockchain #MiningTechnology

Welcome back to the Mining Pod! For this week's stock show, Colin interviews Bitfarms CEO Ben Gagnon and Senior Vice President of Global Mining Operations Alex Brammer. Now, Bitfarms is planning to house 50% of its future hashrate in Pennsylvania with its acquisition of Stronghold Digital. They discuss how their new portfolio in Pennsylvania gives Bitfarms the option to enter the energy trading business, and Bitfarms's strategy for potentially breaking into the AI/HPC business by 2026.

In this week's news roundup, Will, Colin, and Matt break down how Babylon Chain's launch pumped Bitcoin transactions fees to multi-month highs. Plus, they discuss Bitfarms' merger with Stronghold and what it means for Riot's hostile takeover attempt, and they wrap up the pod by covering Q2 numbers from the public miners – oh, and a note on the IMF's absurd plea to tax bitcoin miners into oblivion. Welcome back to The Mining Pod! On Thursday, Bitcoin transaction fees soared to their highest levels since April, but it has nothing to do with runes or inscriptions. This go around, it was all thanks to the launch of Babylon Chain, a new off-chain BTC staking platform. We also tackle Bitfarms' merger with Stronghold and what it could mean (or not mean) for Riot's ongoing attempt at a hostile share takeover of Bitfarms. Finally, we close on the latest Q2 figures and operational updates from public bitcoin miners, and Colin rants about why the IMF needs to take their bitcoin miner tax proposal and shove it...someplace where it won't see the light of day. Co-host is Daniël Mol. The end of the crab-like movement of Bitcoin's price might be on our doorstep, with analysts predicting the U.S. Consumer Price Index and Producer Price Index coming May 14 and 15 could have a dramatic impact.
