After surviving a torrential Nor'easter that rips parts of his home and adjoining properties to shreds, Bridgton, Maine resident and graphic artist David Drayton, his son Billy and wife Steff notice a strange fog rolling in on the lake behind their house. After confirming that his boathouse was crushed by neighbor Brent Norton's old tree, a source of old resentments, David gathers Billy and Brent into his jeep and heads into town for supplies. Upon arrival at the local supermarket, The Food House, into which half the town seems to have crammed, it becomes apparent that the mist is no longer on the lake: in fact, it's now is at the doorstep of the supermarket. Inside the store, we meet a gaggle of characters: Ollie Weeks and Bud Brown, the store's co-managers; Mrs. Carmody, a god-fearing woman who's convinced that Man has brought shame and disgrace upon the world; feisty old Mrs. Reppler, who's not a fan of Mrs. Carmody; locals Jim, Myron, Hattie, and Ambrose; and Dan Miller, whose frantic first appearance in the store heralds the danger to come. For there are terrors lurking in The Mist, the stuff of Hieronymous Bosch nightmares, monstrous beings that make even the act of venturing outside dangerous and deadly, and perhaps portend the coming of the apocalypse. ***This episode contains our upcoming Christmas lineup. Thank you so much for all the wonderful suggestions***This week, we took a deep dive into a newer DCOM that somehow still feels nostalgic? In How To Build A Better Boy, Gabby and Mae take on a challenge that is almost Pixel Perfect. However, as this experiment comes crumpling around them, we find ourselves asking important questions like1. When will The Iconic China Anne McClain grace our screens again?2. How many military men does it take to arrest 2 teenagers?3. Is that REALLY the perect boy?4. Will we actually answer any of these questions in the episodeAll this and more on Disney Deviants

It was announced in Jan 2020, Sandler and Netflix extended their deal for 4 more movies. Box Office: Ratings: IMDb 5.2/10 Rotten Tomatoes 54%Metacritic 53% Google Users 79% First time you saw the movie? Plot:It opens at Westford State Mental Hospital with Hal from Happy Gilmore finding the psycho is on the loose. Cutting to Salem, we see Hubie biking through the town, being friendly, but everyone being a dick to him, throwing eggs at him. A slow motion viewing of Violet Valentine, sends Hubie flying over a car. Hubie is working at the meat counter, Mr. Landofla is called and calls him Pubie. Generally giving him shit, when, with the help fo the other employee, they jump scare Hubie with the lambs head in the meat case. Everyone laughs. Sgt Downy is watching videos in his cruiser, like all cops do, and he gets a call that Richard Hartman escaped the psych ward. Its revealed that Downy testified against him, when Hubie startles him, telling him the O'Doyle kid was buying a bunch TP. Hubie obviously is a worry wort as Downy tells him not to bother him, a gang of kids with scream masks chase after him, and he expertly dodges everything, including flaming dog shit. Hubie takes a tumble and they ride off with an "O'Doyle Rules"... Hubies new neighbor Walter Lambert helps him up, and some back story about his swiss army thermos. We see how over done his house is for halloween. He walks in and is scared by a decoration. Hubies mom is wearing a 'boner doner' shirt and they discuss Mr. Lambert. His mom comments how hard Hubie works to help others, but that he needs to stand up for himself. In his room, Hubie is reminiscing about high school, and see that Sgt. Downy and Violet were a couple, and he regrets not being brave enough to ask her out. He gets scared, again, and busts his window with the year book, and cleans it up with the thermos. Outside the house, we see the escaped inmate peeing in front of Hubies house. S:-Regarding him getting scared so much... Why is halloween his favorite holiday? Also, how can you get scared by decorations that you obviously put up?-The kid who plays Deli Mike was supposed to be played by Cameron Boyce, but he died from epilepsy complications days before filming began. At Violets house, shes watching Wake Up Boston and all the anchors are dressed at Harley Quinn, they interview the Salem mayor. Sgt Downy is investigating a pig that was killed, and it almost descends into ta domestic dispute. At the salem museum, the janitor is making fun of Hubie in front of Violet, and even the museum worker throws away his word searches. She introduces him to her children, including foster children, and Hubie tells that his ancestors were in the Salem witch trials, where Chris was a judge. She discloses she and Sgt. Downy are divorced, and she makes it VERY obvious shes interested. She mentions something off about a Lambers tombstone, and Hubie goes to investigate. There is of course a funeral going on right next to the grave he's looking for. As Hubie digs, he's throwing dirt on the attendants. He finds Walters grave says born in 1661, but no death date. We learn it was Landolfas dad who died... He begins to apologize, but it was a rouse to push Hubie in the grave. When the gravedigger starts to throw dirt, he says hes down there, it scares the digger, he grabs his chest, and falls in, on to Hubie...which would be the only way Trey could get someone on top. Riding his bike down the street, ducking random objects thrown at him, Hubie finds Mr. Lambert boarding up his house and they have a very strange conversation about age. At the school, O'Doyle gives one of Violets foster kid a hard time, and a teacher sticks up for her. Hubie comes to give a halloween safety speech, wearing his pee stained sheet. He starts to explain his GHOST acronym, and he gets scared by a kid in costume, so they all start throwing food at him. At a coffee shop, Violets son Tommy tries to hit on the barista, and she tells him about the halloween party. A confusing phone call to the radio station, and at Violets house, she tells her kids Hubie is the nicest guy in town, and that niceness matters. Halloween starts, and the escaped inmate ominously puts on a pig mask. S:-The mayors jacket is like the mayors from jaws-The two girls that are Violets kids are Adam Sandlers real life kids-I get the comedy...but why dig up a grave like that when there's a funeral going on right next to it. Come back in an hour. Jeez. As Hubie leaves, his mom implores him to stay. As he rides, he saves a cat, and Violet threatens the woman to thank Hubie... Which she still doesn't. Hubie almost asks Violet out, and shes visibly disappointed. We see a girl who is about to take more than one piece of candy, and he starts to teach her a lesson about the honor system. Mr. Hennessey approaches and gives him more crap, and the others laugh at him. He tells him he heard weird noises coming from Mr. Lamberts house, so Hubie goes to investigate. Hearing the noises, Hubie racks up a B and E, and gets in the house. Searches for him, he falls into the basement and finds things leading him to believe Mr. Lambert may have a dog... He finds Walter, but he takes off. At the police station, Downy is still talking to the farmers, when Hubie interrupts. Downy tells him about the AUU, Auxiliary Undercover Unit. Hes not to contact anyone, and to keep a log of what he finds, and drop it in the trash can across the town hall, and he agrees just like Tuckers captain told him. Cookie builds a candy tower to donate, as Hubie suggested, but she can't find Tommy, so she goes to Danielle for help. We find Tommy at the halloween party. Deli Mike spikes the punch, when the barista finds Tommy and they flirt. Hubie enters and starts pooping the party. They threaten to kill him and he goes into a boner tirade. Deli Mike hatches a plan to scare Hubie in the corn maze. Tommy and the barista go to tell Hubie its a prank. Mike scares barista Megan, and he punches Tommy. We see someone/something approach Mike and he looks scared, and it cuts to Hubie finding Tommy and Megan. Walking through the maze, he finds Mike tied up and gagged. and he's just yanked into the corn. According to the voice over it's 9pm. Hubie tries to contact Downy, but he ignores him. Violet arrives at the diner misses a call from Danielle. At the drive in the Hennessys comment how impressive it is how long Hubie has been a loser, and hatch an idea to scare him. Mrs. Hennessy approaches Hubie and tells him about a scary old car. As he approaches, the lights come on, the engine starts, and it starts to approach him, he sees it's a headless driver, and he runs scared. The top drops and the kids in the scream masks start throwing eggs at him, he uses a grapple hook to get away, and they all laugh at him. Hubie encounters Walter, who he asks if he's a werewolf, and Walter turns and runs. At a city party, the mayor tells Downy they're not cancelling any of the activities because of a lost kid. The girls are wondering around looking for Tommy and encounter the guy in the pig mask. Hubie at the diner, talks with Violet about purpose, as he mixes soups in his thermos. She offers him some chardonnay, complements him and calls him a hero. The Hennessys are driving and laughing at Hubie when they encounter something in the road. He gets out to move what turns out to be be a scare crow, and he vanishes. Mrs. Hennessy gets out calling for him, and she's yanked away. S:-If Violet is SO into Hubie, why doesn't she ask him out? We're not kids anymore... The best part about being an adult, is we can do what we want. For kids, I do think the guy should ask the girl...but after a certain age... fuck it. who cares?-Seems like a pretty killer halloween party for all the underage kids to be drinking at... obviously someone had to know what was going on?-With everyone out trick or treating, at the drive in, who is home to give out candy.-Where did the old car come from?-Any pranks on people when you were younger? Tp yards, fork, anything like that? Hubie is riding his bike looking for Danielle and Cookie, dodging objects thrown at him. Hubies mom looks at how people have vandalized her yard when Walter comes running by. He handcuffs himself to his fridge when the pig mask guy arrives and says they need to talk. Tommy and Megan are looking for the girls when Hubie arrives with them. Hubie tells them to be safe, that he's going to protect the city. In the bathroom, he hears a dog howl and thinks its Walter. He finds a dog that takes off into a haunted house. He goes through the house, terrified. Londalfa comes out of the haunted house with the teacher from earlier, and starts hitting on her. Hubie finds the dog, and tries to throw a silver bullet at it, but it eats it instead. Outside, Londolfa is called out for hitting on her, and the dog turns out to be hers. He hears Hubie, and goes in the house to scare Hubie. As he goes to scare him, he's yanked into the darkness. The mayor, officer Downy, Hubie and a few others gather and complain nothing has been done, Downy says nothing else planned is going to happen. Hubie tells them about his werewolf theory. Downy calls in the station to have someone check on Walter, when the other officer tells him Walter and Richie turned themselves in 45 minutes ago and we find out Walter and Richie are roommates at the mental hospital. Walter, who is Nick Hudson, broke out a month ago, and Richie broke out to find him. So with those two in custody, they turn on Hubie accusing him of making the people who are mean to him making them disappear. Hubie runs away, through the woods, still getting things thrown at him, when he approaches the radio station. Inside, what has sounded like a woman voice over/DJ Aurora, turns out to be Shaq. Hubie is looking for some advice, and the DJ and his wife tell him about the only other person who calls in more than him, and that he always dedicates a special song to Hubie and they said they were going to do something special for Hubie on halloween, after drinking too much chardonnay. Downy arrives and Hubie tells him Violet is the only person who is nice to him. They set up a sting. S:-What time is it at the haunted house? Who does all that on halloween night-The sliver bullet, that shit was plastic. Who would walk around with silver bullets like that?-WTCH is a radio station from Shawano, Wisconsin-Was the "wife" a guy or a girl? Violet approaches and Hubie, and he immediately calls for back up. Downy calls the number who called the radio station, but the phone doesn't ring, and they find the cell phone is in Hubies house. Hubie and Violet confess their love for each other, and Hubie steals a boat for some reason. At Hubies house, he finds his mom with a glass of chardonnay. Hubie asks if hes her special someone. He sees Landolfo in the back yard, goes out and sees all the missing people. Hubies mom tells him why she did what she did, and starts adding gas to the wood. As she strikes a match and they all ask for help, Hubie remembers how all of them have been mean to him, laughed at him, all the punishment he's taken, when he remembers what Violet said about him being a hero, he slings the last bit of soup and puts out the match. The cops arrives, and they still give him shit even though he just saved them. Hubies mom tells them all off, and calls them all out...and they explain why they're all mean to him. Pressure to be cool, hair loss, lack of sexual fulfillment, fake dyslexia because he's just dumb. Hubies mom explains why she did what she did, and she yells "Frankenstein" and runs off. We also find out Walter killed the pig from early on. Hubie wishes Violet happy halloween and share a kiss through the tv. 1 year later, they kiss and the kids show their costumes for Halloween, Father Dave, Richie, Officer Downy and wolfman Walter. Hubie is shown to be the mayor with his sash, he made thermos' for the kids, as he rides to the city events, we see the kids and they are nice to Hubie. Hubie pranks them instead, and everyone is shown to be nice and wave to Hubie. Credits roll with Hubie screaming and outtakes. S:-The reporter that shows up at the end is Adam Sandlers wife-All in all, kinda funny, I like the references to other Sandler movies. I hope they do one where they bring in a bunch of other Sandler characters. China Anne McClain Says She Was Planning “Black Lightning” Exit Before Cancellation
When Black Lightning returns for its fourth and final season on The CW early next year, it'll be with a little less of one of its biggest stars. China Anne McClain, who plays Jefferson Piercer's daughter Jennifer (aka Lightning) on the hit DC Comics series, announced in a video to fans over the weekend that we'll be seeing less of her character as the show heads toward its curtain call. In an emotional, 12-minute video message posted to her Instagram page, McClain -- also known for her roles in Tyler Perry's House of Payne and Disney's Descendants films -- revealed that she was planning to leave Black Lightning after the fourth season even before the cast knew that Season 4 before would be the final one. Because of that, she noted that she'll have a reduced role in the final season. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/essie-berry/message
