Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick, Jr., is Senior Pastor of the Bethel Church, located in Jacksonville, Florida. Will take place during Season 7's Empty Places. Buffy makes a wish that has disastrous consequences. She wishes that she never changed out of being a vampire from Billy Palmer's dream. That it will become real and forever with no spell to end it so she can't feel anything for anyone because they kicked her out and didn't want her, the real HER. Well, it becomes true and she is sucked into Season 1 and after they save Billy (AGAIN), Buffy remains a creature of the night. With a soul, she shuns the Scoobies by talking to the Master eventually becoming his favorite childe and receiving special treatments more than the Scoobies ever gave her. She enjoys being a vampire very well and is quite good at it, choosing to be evil rather than the soul forcing her. She has no curse to stop her unlike Angel. The Master is left unstaked and takes Sunnydale along with Buffy who finds herself interested in Spike. Quelle écologie, alors, pour les images ?L'arrivée d'un train, la sortie d'une usine : on remarque rarement combien, avec les frères Lumière, la naissance du cinéma emprunta ses emblèmes à la révolution industrielle, célébrant ici la mobilité et la vitesse, s'attardant là sur la foule affairée des travailleurs du regard. L'extraction des moindres éclats du réel et leur réplication sur pellicule vont alors bon train : bientôt, les rails du travelling s'inspireront de ceux du chemin de fer et les studios afficheront fièrement leur statut d'industrie ; il n'y aura guère que Buster Keaton à la proue d'une locomotive ou Charlie Chaplin entre deux roues dentées pour s'inquiéter de la frénésie de conquête technique et géographique où les images se trouveront prises, de l'appétit avec lequel elles annexeront des territoires entiers au périmètre du visible, se dispensant d'interroger leur propre impact sur la nature ou sur les peuples ainsi offerts à la voracité de l'oeil.Un siècle plus tard, cette évidence a vécu. À mesure que les enjeux écologiques s'installent au coeur des motifs du cinéma populaire, à mesure aussi que les effets du changement climatique s'avèrent sous nos yeux dans des lueurs d'incendie, la tension s'accroît entre le souci de protéger l'environnement des effets destructeurs de l'activité humaine, et les formes de production, de circulation et de consommation des images. Car le train des frères Lumière n'a pas cessé de rouler, ni son réseau de s'étendre : il dessert désormais, outre les salles de cinéma, les multiples terminaux qui donnent sur nos rétines et il ne nous est plus permis de fermer les yeux sur ce qu'il exige de terres rares dans nos téléphones, de câbles sous nos océans, d'énergie pour refroidir nos serveurs. Peut-on imaginer et pratiquer une écologie des images?Peut-on, aux images conquérantes, substituer des visions d'artistes en forme de présages, attachées à alerter sur les dangers et les possibles d'une transformation planétaire dont les effets sont encore à venir ? Ces questions traverseront la 16e édition de Hors Pistes, festival dédié à explorer toutes les formes de l'image en mouvement, et à rencontrer celles et ceux qui en font la matière de leur création, de leur pensée et de leur écriture. “I got dangerous for a while.”   DALE! You guys, it’s Dale! Dale Guffey, author of Faith and Choice in the Works of Joss Whedon (among other things) is finally here! And she makes an enthusiastic addition to the graveyard chorus. She brings her wit, charm, and scary brain to the discussion of, well, Faith coming back to Sunnydale, and the various choices of Caleb the Minister of Murder. Episodes 718, “Dirty Girls” and 719, “Empty Places” bring some genuine horror, real world horrors that were uncomfortable to watch in 2003 but are even more gut wrenching in today’s climate. We certainly get some humor and heart, such as Spike continuing to insist he’s nothing like Angel, and Clem sweetly suggesting maybe Buffy should get out of town. In "Empty Places", as the town's citizens flee, Sunnydale's police force gets antsy for some Justice. When Faith takes the potentials for a night out, the group is forced to fight some overzealous law enforcement. Meanwhile, Spike and Andrew leave town to investigate a lead, leaving Buffy without backup when the rest of the group mutinies. Kristen and Mike discuss the townspeople's awareness of the apocolypse, and the culmination of events that lead to Buffy's explusion from the group. In "Touched", with Buffy ejected from the Summers home, the rest of the group doesn't find the easy peace they expected. Spike's fury at Buffy's banishment leads him to find her languishing in an empty house. The gang forces a Bringer to speak via Andrew, pointing them to an underground arsenal. While everyone prepares for the next day's battle, the Scoobies get frisky. We break down the different "coupling" milestones in this ep, and analyze the concurrent final assaults.

Instead of glamorous hotspots, famous faces and iconic structures, Oakland-based photographer Katherine Westerhout prefers just the opposite. Rather than the latest and greatest venues du jour and the throngs that flock to them, Westerhout has built a career on creating large-scale images which capture the empty places long since forgotten by the general public -- including abandoned hospitals, churches, and theaters. "I've been photographing in abandoned buildings for about 12 years now, and what I am so drawn to is the way the light enters these buildings and the way it carries color, from the outside, depending on the time of day," Westerhout explains to Spark during a photo shoot at the train depot at 16th and Wood streets in West Oakland.

In the Genesis account of creation, on the first day, deep darkness hovered over the deep. On this first day of new creation, darkness opens our narrative, John 20:1-18. Broken hearts and scattered disciples populate this account. The risen Lord appears alone, to Mary Magdalene. Left abandoned by Peter and John, she alone is left to grieve the loss of her beloved. Suddenly, the risen Lord appears, taken as a Gardener, and brings comfort and a commission. Go tell the ones who abandoned you in your grief that Christ is risen. Mary accepts the challenge. We are all like Mary left with the challenge to recognize the voice of the risen Lord and relate to him in new ways. We are called to share the Gospel of Jesus, crucified and risen, to those who have let us down, and to the whole world. Christ is risen and we have hope!
