A Different Ending... | I Wrote A Fun Alt Ending to Mando S3

I wrote a very fan service / fun alternate (loose) ending to the Mandalorian season 3. Hope you smirk at it and LMK what you think! At the end of mando season 2, Grogu leaves with luke skywalker and r2d2...only to return to Din after a couple episodes of him with Luke in the book of boba fett show. I think what would have worked better, was if grogu stayed with luke, and when the time of the mandalorian season finale came, Grogu felt something wrong with Din in the force, once he was captured by Moff Gideon, as the events played out the way they would have basically, just without grogu there, Luke grogu and R2 get in the X-wing and fly over to Mandalore as per Grogu's wishes. He has been training with luke for 2 years now as jon favreau said, so he's much stronger and in tuned with the force, so he feels Din is in trouble. They head to Mandalore, break Din out, until they come across the hall of Clones. It's Din, Grogu, and Luke, as Bo Katan fights the storm troopers in beskar with the other Mandalorians, siege of mandalore style. The clones aren't moff gideon, but rather Clones of Darth Maul, as we find out that Moff Gideon is a Darth Maul loyalist...i mean, if we can't figure it out from the clues all throughout the show, the horns and double bladed staff are a dead giveaway. So all these force sensitive darth mauls come alive, and luke has to fight them. This would be a major nod to George Lucas' original plans for the sequel trilogy he was creating and had written treatments for before Disney did their own thing, thinking they know better. Where he had Luke train new jedi for his jedi order and Darth Maul would return to train his apprentice Darth Talon. While Luke fights Maul, Mando helps Bo Katan fight Moff and Praetorian and it's an all out war while Mandalorians fly overhead with the stormtroopers and newly upgraded dark troopers with them. I'd have loved to see some bounty hunters as well working for the empire flying in there to make it real difficult for the mandalorians. This is where Boba, Fennec and Black Krrsantan show up to blast em in the Slave 1. Dropping seismic charges where applicable and blasting off out of his ship with his jet pack to join the war. While the Mythosaur gets angry at all the seismic charges being dropped and rises to absolutely destroy the area around them. Grogu and Luke use their powers to tame the beast for the moment, and Bo rides it, becoming the supreme ruler of Mandalore as the enemies are defeated. Super fan fictiony. Super fan service, but ultimately, more exciting than what we got. Oh and the dark saber isn't destroyed. Mandalore is back to where it was before the Empire's purge. Grogu back with Din. Luke goes to meet Han and Leia and introduced to Ben Solo, nodding to his journey as we will see him later. Boba in Slave 1 with crew off on an adventure. Bo Katan lights the torch and leads Mandalore Everyone off to their own story, to be met up with again in Dave Filoni's movie (and the Ahsoka show coming up) Learn more about your ad choices. We end the episode with Din kicking his feet up at his new cabin, and Grogu lifting a frog with the force, like he did when training with Luke Skywalker. Ok, look, this episode felt more like a they lived happily ever after than a major cliff hanger or a larger threat entering to galaxy. I would have liked if Thrawn's fleet showed up to kill Gideon perhaps, or show up outside Mandalore. I think they're keeping Thrawn for the Ahsoka show, as we don't know where he is at this point. This season of the mandlalorian had no direction like the first 2 seasons. It focused a lot on Bo Katan, which I liked, but I feel like we didn't get as much Mando as we thought we would, like previous seasons. I hope the next season will return us to Mando and Grogu going on adventures with hopefully a much bigger threat like Thrawn or someone else, Snoke perhaps. I'm still processing the season, but overall, it just wasn't nearly as good as the others. Pacing was wild, some episodes moved super fast, while others dragged on, while some just wasted important episode time, like the lizzo episode. I think the destruction of the dark saber could set this up for Grogu to make his own, considering they save the crystal. Maybe we could learn how they made the dark saber. Grogu definitely connected with the Mythosaur, I think this is foreshadowing for him to ride the beast and lead Mandalore in the future. Maybe decades from now. I don't know where Din and Grogu go from here...it kind of seems like they're back to season 1 with his Bouny Hunter days, which were the best parts of the series. Maybe we could have some interesting adventures into the depths of the Galaxy, discovering more force sensitives, bounty hunters or night sisters with magic. Maybe Snoke? Thrawn? So this episode was my favourite so far of the whole season, which isn't saying a whole lot since this season has been pretty all over the place and lack lustre, but this one definintely was awesome. I loved seeing the commeradere of the mandalorians, despite their warring tribes they all came together. I believe the spies were of course Elia Kane, but also the armorer and the pirates. There's no way those pirates wouldn't be loyal to Gideon this whole time, roaming the surface and not discovered by Gideon or the Empire. I'm sure the Empire offered them food and help, and them being sick was perhaps a way for the Armorer to get out of there with them. I think Gideon has spies everywhere, and the biggest twist would be if the Armorer was one of his. I have a hard time believing she is, but the fact that we now see his horned helmet along with hers, it just makes me question things. The other possibility is that she is a Zabrak, and the horns are because she can't wear her helmet any other way. As they head towards the Forge, a massive dinosaur blows their ship up, this is NOT they Mythosaur. The Mythosaur is much bigger and more powerful. They escape to a cave and move further down, finally getting to the Forge. They hear jet packs and realize imperials are headed their way. They fly now! These imperials are fitted with white Beskar armour. Axe Woves gets out of there to call for reinforcements, escaping through a small hole in the roof. They all shoot at one another and the Mandos take them out, until they're foolishly lured into a trap. As they notice a massive army of imperial tie fighters and weaponry. They're ambushed and separated by a door that closes. Din fights off the stomtroopers in beskar, tied down, when Moff Gideon lands in his new suit. The next generation of dark trooper suit, this means, it's lightsaber resistant if it's a new phase from the previous dark troopers we saw in season 2's finale with Luke. as the phase 3 dark troopers were lightsaber resistant. Moff Gideon's helmet has horns, so does the armorer's. There are only one group of mandalorians who has horns on their helmets. Darth Maul's loyalists. I believe the armorer is working with Moff Gideon. I believe Moff Gideon is loyal to Darth Maul's leadership as ruler of Mandalore. Gideon talks about the cloners, the jedi, the mandalorians all having something special about them. He plans to aggregate the best of each, and bring order to the galaxy. I think Gideon was trying to create the perfect warrior. A cloned force sensitive wearing mandalorian armor. He sends Din to the debriefing room to be questioned and tortured. He turns to Bo Katan after hearing her voice and demands the dark saber. As she nods to Paz and they all blast the doors as Gideon opens them. Bo runs to the back and qui gon jinn style puts the dark saber through the blast door and cuts a hole for them to escape through. Paz is holding them off with his gattling mini gun blaster and closes the door on himself, telling Bo to go as he takes them all on like a boss. His blaster overheats and he man handles all of them. Until, 3 mandalorian styled praetorian guards appear to defeat him. They slash and stab him at the corners of his armour's weak openings, killing him. He goes out like a boss and I was upset to see him go as I liked his stoic powerful presence in the crew. His son will be very devastated to learn of his father's sacrifice. The praetorian guards have a different helmet than they do in the sequel trilogy, and we see that they have t visor, looking a lot like the shadow guards from legends and the force unleashed. These guys are incredibly powerful and could use the force. The Praetorian guards here look like some mandalorian variation and it makes me wonder if they're different from the sequel trilogy ones or not. Thrawn, praetorian guards, luke skywalker, darth maul loyalists could all be in the next episode and of course moff gideon. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Here's What Will Happen if Bo Katan Or Grogu Control the Mythosaur in The Mandalorian Season 3

I feel she will do everything in her power to tame the beast in order to ride it into battle and flex her might as the new leader of mandalore. However, with Baby Yoda's beast control force ability, just like we saw Anakin use on the reek in episode 2, and baby Ahsoka on that tiger beast in tales of the jedi animated show, we know Grogu will be able to do the same thing. Now, this beast is massive and mythosaurs were known to be extremely violent and alpha, taking orders from no one, this is why taming one enough to ride it was seen as a right of passage to rule all other mandalorians. I believe Grogu will be the one to control or connect with the beast if he tries hard enough, and in turn be able to either ride it himself using their force mind connection to understand one another, or he'll have the mythosaur obey Mando to ride him. This could further infuriate Bo Katan as she'll now see Din Djarin has both the dark saber and the mythosaur and she'll feel her right as ruler of Mandalore has been taken from her, which it has. I think with the Mythosaur under Din Djarin's control with Grogu, they could lead and unite all Mandalorians under one umbrella. No more infighting, no more civil wars, just Mandos against the other guys, like the remnants of the Empire. I think with the dark saber alone, Mando can unite mandalorians, but with both, he'll have no trouble whatsoever. Now, let's say somehow Bo Katan or even someone else gets the Mythosaur, heck between you and me I hope it's Boba Fett as we all know he'd rather rule Mandalorians than Tatooine with respect. If Bo gets the mythosaur, she'll have priority over ruling Mandalore over Din with the dark saber. I think the reasoning behind this is because to get the dark saber you much defeat it's rightful owner in trial by combat, however with the Mythosaur…it's much more difficult than fighting another human or alien who has the blade. I think she would try to control more of the mandalorians and be less diplomatic than mando would be. I don't really think Mando is fit to rule all mandalore and mandalorians, he just doesn't seem experienced enough, whereas Bo Katan was born into mandalorian culture and royalty. Let's say Grogu ends up riding it and controlling it, then he would be the new Tarre Vizsla, the jedi mandalorian who now not only brings two warring factions together, but also has tamed and rides the great mythosaur. He would unite mandalorians the most just like Tarre Vizsla did thousands of years ago but I think he would have a hard time given his age and the fact that he's also a partial jedi. I think Mandalorians might have a hard time accepting him since he could be seen as a potential outsider from an elitist purist standpoint. The Armorer has referenced a prophecy where a Mythosaur would rise up and herald a new era for Mandalore, so if Bo-Katan were able to tame the creature, it could fulfill this prophecy and bring about a new era of Mandalorian dominance. It would signify a reclamation of Mandalorian heritage and a powerful symbol of strength and leadership. However, it's important to note that taming a Mythosaur would likely be a difficult task, as they are massive creatures with tough hides that can resist blaster fire. Additionally, the encounter with the Mythosaur in season 3 episode 2 shocks Bo-Katan because the race of gigantic creatures was said to have gone extinct thousands of years ago, making them incredibly rare and difficult to find. Regardless, if Bo-Katan were to successfully tame a Mythosaur, she would have some ground work to make up from her previous failures as leader, since people blamed her for cursing Mandalore by taking the dark saber without winning it in combat from Sabine Wren. So she'd now have to really prove she's worthy of being followed as the new mand'alor. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

How we doing spacers? Good to hear. This is your host, Luca. My co-host AJ and I just watched the fifth episode of The Mandalorian: The Pirate. Out of context, this episode is a complete waste of time. Yes, there are cool starships on display. Yes there are dogfights, laser blasts, and rockets fired. However, the only things that move the story forward are so minuscule and minute you the viewer might end up missing out on them. Yes the pirate's invade and yes, they are defeated. We knew that was going to happen. Unfortunately this storyline takes up most of the episode. What's more interesting is we learn the villain from seasons one and two, Moff Gideon, might not have received his due justice. There's a very eerie shot of a wrecked Lambda-Class shuttle floating aimlessly in space. The hull breached and it's crew frozen in the empty vacuum of space. It's terrifying! Well done to the cinematographer who drew this up. They've clearly taken inspiration from James Cameron's Aliens with how the scanner of the R2 unit pans beam of blue scanner energy around the fuselage. On a personal side note, I love the design of this ship. It's got the right amount of bureaucratic efficiency, malice and terror the Empire would want to display. You see variations of it throughout the timeline with Kylo Ren landing on Jakku with an Upsilon-class Command Shuttle. Prior to this, The Armorer speaks to Bo-Katan and tells her she believes she did in fact see the Mythosaur. With this knowledge she asks her to remove her helmet and parades her in front of the rest of the Covert. Here she declares that Bo-Katan "walks in both worlds" and will herald a new chapter in Mandalorian history where all tribes are united. All of these essential story elements in the last five minutes of the episode. I can tell why Jon Favreau is beginning to fight with Disney about the direction of the show. Gorian Shard looks and sounds exactly like a Disney villain. Not a pirate from the Star Wars universe. He's just a text book meanie that the good guy Mandalorians have to kills. All this being said, the production value does not falter. Everything looks great. Especially the Cumulus-Class Corsair on fire crashing into the surface of Nevarro. The only other bit of annoyance was The Armorer's choice of weaponry for the liberation of Nevarro. Tongs and a Hammer. Do either of those fire lasers, missiles, flames, grappling hooks, poison darts, I hear you ask? No. She fights exclusively in melee combat only in a world where only Jedi typically use melee weapons and all her enemies use energy and projectile weapons. One long sigh later and I'm done writing the show notes. Let us know what your thoughts are on the episode. Re-Watch Podcast Chapter 20 The Foundling Another Sunday in the books. Another episode of The Star Wars Re-Watch Podcast goes out into the universe. Hi. I'm your host Luca. With me, my co-host and best friend AJ. What can we say about this episode? More than it's creators, that's for sure. AJ and I managed to ramble on for over an hour while the creators were barely able to scrape 30 minutes together. I do appreciate the legendary Carl Weathers lending a hand (Billy Madison reference) to direct this episode. Of course, it happens to be the shortest episode with virtually no stakes whatsoever. By far, the most interesting scene involves Grogu and we glean a few snippets of his backstory. For whatever reason, even though he's fifty years old, already his memory is shot and he cannot tell us anything about who he is and where he came from. The main story involves the one of the apprentices named Ragnar being preyed upon by another deadly species in which the Mandalorians have made their camp, and are utterly incapable of defending. Seems kind of strange since they know giant alligator lizards inhabit the lake right in front of the cave they occupy. In addition, they have avian threats they can't seem to fend off even though they too can fly with their jetpacks and "it always gets away." Perhaps they should leave the beast slaying to other experts and stick to bounty hunting exclusively. Either way, as if it was any surprise. Bo Katan tracks the beast to it's nest and then earns of the honor of leading a hunting/rescue party to secure the apprentice. We find out that his name is Ragnar and he is the son of the Paz Vizsla. It's here we get a fast paced action sequence where instead of shooting this beast, they decide to try and immobilize it with their grabbling hooks instead. I mentioned to AJ, the problem with all cast wearing similar costumes and especially helmets, you cannot tell what anyone is doing in a given moment. It really makes it difficult to tell who's doing what. Either way, our Mandalorian friends rescue Paz Vizsla's son Ragnar and allow the winged beast to be eaten by the gator monster when it plunges into the water in the canyon below. When they return to base, they describe the three adolescent reptile fliers as additional foundlings in need of training. Did anyone else catch that? What is with this Mandalorian religion? Din Djarin looks at Grogu and sees Mandalorian material in him when he's clearly force sensitive and would be best trained as a Jedi. The hunting party sees three winged reptiles and instead of killing and eating them for several weeks based on their mass, see potential Mandalorian bounty hunters. WTF is going on here? I though Mandalorians were supposed to be the deadliest warrior race in the galaxy. Here we've seen them get owned by storm troopers and wild animals. The only scene of importance in this episode was Grogu's flashback to the raid on the Jedi Temple. We also learn that two lightsabers are much more effective at deflecting blaster bolts because every Jedi with only one gets gunned down. Interestingly, we also learn Grogu is whisked away in a royal Noobian starship. Similiar to the one Anakin and Padme used to head back to Tatooine. Very curious to see why that was in the show or was it just an fan service. Lastly, Bo Katan confesses to the Armorer she saw the Mythosaur in the flesh. Looking forward to how that plays out in the future. Thanks for listening and watching. -Luca #Mandalorian #episode4 Tweet us @SWRewatchPod on Twitter Subscribe to us on YouTube Subscribe on Apple Podcasts Subscribe on Spotify Email us at StarWarsRewatchPodcast@gmail.com

Just last week Ahmed Best took Kelleran Beq from internet game show to Star Wars canon. This week, Garazeb Orellios went from animated in an animated series to...well, okay, computer generated and animated in live action. It was still great to see a Rebels character come to life! Okay, we saw Ahsoka do that last season. Hey, you get my point! Did you ever think we'd see the Armorer tell someone to take it off? The helmet I mean. I mean, this isn't the way, is it? I guess it is now, since she's hear the true tale of the Mythosaur on Mandalore. Ooh, that's a good title. There's blaster battles, dogfights in ships, Rodians running interference, SNL cast members annoyed with droids, and the Armorer handing off hammers and smacking them in alien faces. Good stuff! Mandalorians get a piece of the promised land in the lava flats of Nevarro and that's great timing since R5-D4 can't keep secrets. Sorry, Capitan Azul, you gots ta go. Here's hoping Carson Teva gets an action figure soon. We haven't bought one in a while, but if I was a cosplayer, I might have found my wheelhouse. The Mandalorian Season Three Begins By Exploring Identity

Hyperspace Theories

The Mandalorian is back on Disney+ to kick off Season Three. On this episode of Hyperspace Theories, Tricia Barr and B.J. Priester discuss the characterization and storytelling developments unfolding across Chapter 17 (“The Apostate”), Chapter 18 (“The Mines of Mandalore”), and Chapter 19 (“The Convert”). By the end of these three episodes, we've learned a lot more about our central characters, yet each of them still faces profound questions about how they will choose to define, and possibly reshape, their individual identities going forward. For this season, Katee Sackoff is credited as a co-lead with Pedro Pascal, and the prominent role of Bo-Katan in these episodes definitely warrants that billing. For Din Djarin, these episodes showcase his commitment to his understanding of the Mandalorian Creed. Despite other opportunities and obligations, he insists on fulfilling his quest to bathe in the Living Waters on Mandalore to redeem himself for having removed his helmet during the events of Season Two. He succeeds, and upon returning to the covert receives confirmation from the Armorer. What remains very much an open question, however, is what Din will do next. Bo-Katan Kryze, on the other hand, experiences a very different journey. She begins the season without a purpose: she has lost her fleet, the Darksaber, and any people or place to rule – and, it seems, she has long since lost her faith in the value of the Creed. Once she departs her castle to rescue Grogu's dad, she still talks to the foundling mostly about what she has lost, rather than what she still has to live (or fight) for. Even in the chamber with the Living Waters, she can barely hold back her derision when reading the ancient plaque. Then in s short span of time she sees the Mythosaur, loses her home to Imperial bombers, and is bestowed with her own redemption under the Armorer's interpretation of the Creed. Suddenly everything has changed. Yet, like Din, Bo-Katan faces many questions about what she will choose for her path forward. In addition to the lead characters, we also examine what these episodes show the audience about Grogu and his journey, as well as the Coruscant-based storyline with Doctor Pershing, Elia Kane, the New Republic's amnesty program, and the lingering shadow of the Empire. On this week's episode of the podcast, we talk about the latest installment of The Mandalorian. Does The Convert continue the momentum from last week's excellent The Mines of Mandalore, or does it come to an abrupt halt with an unrelated side story? We discuss the choice to center much of the episode's action around minor characters Dr. Pershing and Elia Kane, and debate whether it was the right storytelling choice at this point in the season. Elsewhere, we speculate about Bo Katan's intention behind hiding her knowledge of the Mythosaur, and whether her motives are self-serving. We take a dip in the living waters in the mines of our confidently wrong takes. Why did Djin fall into the water? How does taking a little swim erase serious sins? How come Bo Katan can wield the dark saber so well? Is Grogu going to do anything besides force push and suffocate people? We answer none of those questions but we do talk about what we've liked so far from the world of The Mandalorian in season 3. Don't forget to subscribe and leave us a review on Apple Podcasts and Spotify!Twitter: @confidently_podInstagram: @confidently_podWebsite: https://confidentlywrong.simplecast.comCredits:Hosted by: Wesley Nakamura, Savon JonesEdited by: Wesley NakamuraTheme Music: Implied Authority by Bass ElfLink: https://soundcloud.com/bass_elf_music

After a massive bombshell at the end of last week's episode of 'The Mandalorian', we take a sharp left turn into a completely different part of the galaxy and largely leave the Mythosaur thread to dangle... for now. The shift to concentrate on Dr. Pershing and his attempt to reintegrate into a post-war society, though surprising, was actually chalk-full of deep world building and does the leg work to set up a fascinating mystery. The Mando bookends featuring some stellar dog-fighting, and a surprisingly quick resolution to the whole "redemption" arch, were appreciated for their ability to keep the central story moving forward. On 'The Bad Batch' front, the season put the pause on things as it took our heroes on a short vacation that reminded us of what was actually at stake. It was slower, but intentionally so, and took the time to let us just "live" with the characters for a moment. Unsurprisingly, it didn't take nearly as long to unbox this episode compared to Mando.

After Djarin recovers, he and Bo-Katan depart Mandalore, though Bo-Katan withholds the Mythosaur's existence from him. Upon returning to Kalevala, they are attacked by Imperial TIE squads, who destroy Bo-Katan's home, and are forced to retreat to the secret Mandalorian enclave. Djarin presents the Armorer with a sample of the Living Waters as proof of his redemption, and because she has also bathed in the Waters, Bo-Katan is welcomed to the enclave as well. On Coruscant, Dr. Pershing receives a pardon by the New Republic, but is startled to find Elia Kane among the amnesty program's recipients. Kane declares to assist Pershing in his efforts to continue his cloning research, which has been outlawed by the Republic. They sneak aboard a decommissioned Star Destroyer to steal the necessary materials, but Kane betrays Pershing to the Republic's lawkeepers and later secretly sabotages the mind-wiping procedure used on him.Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

To tame one is beyond difficult and has been done by Mandalore the Ultimate or in new canon if they're the same person, Mandalore the Great. Now that Bo Katan has seen a Mythosaur as she was saving Din Djarin, and as we know, she wants nothing more than to rule Mandalore once again. After losing her dark saber to Moff Gideon, and then to Din Djarin the Mandalorian, she has not been the same. Din Djarin visits Peli Motto on Tatooine during the Boonta Eve festival in search of a new memory chip for IG-11. She does not have one, but instead sells him R5-D4. Djarin, Grogu and R5 fly to Mandalore and Djarin orders R5 to scout ahead and ensure that the atmosphere is non-toxic. When R5 does not return, Djarin ventures after it and is attacked by several Alamites, a native troll-like species living in the caves. Heading deeper into the mines, Djarin is captured by a cyborg creature and sends Grogu for Bo-Katan's help. Katan rescues Djarin and kills the cyborg before leading Djarin to the Living Waters. Djarin begins to recite the creed to restore himself as a Mandalorian; however, a sudden drop off causes him to sink deep into the water. Katan dives in to save him, and on the way back up comes face to face with a Mythosaur.Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
